Lil Uzi & Jack Harlow Are The Future, Says Generation Now

Lil Uzi Vert and Jack Harlow are going to be two of rap’s future big 3, according to their label, Generation Now. The Rap Caviar Podcast with Brandon Jinx did an interview with the co-founders of Generation Now. Lake, DJ Drama, and Don Cannon believe that there is going to be another big 3 in hip-hop in the future, and they think that they have two of them. In fact, Lake thinks they have all three. However, he does not give any hints as to who he is thinking of for the last one.

The Big 3 is a reference to the top hip-hop artists of the 2010s, Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. These three were leading the pack in terms of music style, as well as just good songs. They were praised by both fans and general media for being able to make things that are good to dance to, as well as having strong lyrics to listen back to at your own pace.

Lil Uzi Vert & Jack Harlow Could Be 2 Of The Next Big 3

Lake gives explanations for the other two, though. “When we look up, in a few minutes, Uzi will be around for 10 years, quietly. Quietly, you know. Quietly, Uzi will be here for 10 years. And as you can see he’s ever-evolving and pushing the boundaries with the sound each time so he has potential.” When Lake says that Uzi will be around quietly, he is talking about how they do not release music as often as some other artists, but when they do drop something, it is usually a banger of a piece. For Harlow, Lake does not say anything beyond that he has potential.

When Jinx asked them why they signed those two up, Don Cannon explained that it was because they could actually rap. DJ Drama added that lyricism is the most important part of hip-hop. Lake added that Lil Uzi Vert could freestyle for 10 minutes straight if he wanted to, and Harlow can literally rap his butt off. Being able to rap means that they have a strong base that they can grow out of. The rapping is what makes people stay. The backing can be amazing, but if the lyricism is terrible, then most people are not going to stay and listen to other works.

Lil Uzi Vert Says Sobriety’s Helped His Creative Process

At one point in time, Lil Uzi Vert’s drug use became a concern for their fans. Not necessarily due to their behavior online or on stage but simply because we began witnessing plenty of rappers die from overdosing. Following Lil Peep’s death, Uzi said that they would no longer be consuming drugs. By last summer, the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper said they have been completely sober. It’s a complete 180 from the times when they rapped about the endless use of opioids.

It seems as though they might prefer sobriety these days. TMZ recently caught up with the Philadelphia rapper who explained that they unlocked new levels of creativity by abstaining from drug use, even though they initially felt sobriety would have the opposite effect. “I thought that my creative process wasn’t gonna be the same because I wasn’t on drugs no more,” he said. He explained that he’s able to “think more clearly,” which will likely have an effect on his upcoming album Pink Tape.

Lil Uzi Vert Encourages Sobriety

The rapper explained that their recent visits to the studio have found them in an even more focused space. “It made sense,” Uzi said of the decision to go drug-free. They added that they aren’t necessarily throwing sh*t on the wall to see what sticks. Instead, he’s exploring different themes and topics more thoroughly. “It wasn’t like I just made random music,” he continued. “I didn’t just play off the beat. I actually made songs with topics this time.” He encouraged his peers to consider doing the same, stating, “It can change your life.”

Lil Uzi Vert’s latest comments come shortly after he clarified his lyric about his City Girl partner, JT. Following his controversial lyric from his Rolling Loud performance, he explained that he doesn’t actually believe in Satan. “Basically, I make a girl do whatever I say so,” he said. Instead, Uzi said that they were simply practicing their right to freedom of speech, though the intentions were never to offend anyone. “If they don’t like it, they have the option to turn it off,” he said. Afterward, he confirmed that Pink Tape would arrive in the next two months.

Lil Uzi Vert Denies Rumors That He’s Supporting Satan

If you had the chance to see Lil Uzi Vert perform at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, you know it was a movie. However, the Philadelphia native left some pondering on what exactly was the message he was trying to convey during the set. Uzi rocked an all-red outfit with spiked hair and yellow and blue contacts in his eyes.

As seen on The Source’s Instagram, Uzi’s performance of “I Just Wanna Rock” had the entire festival hyped. But there was also some backlash that he was supporting the devil, given the crosses and mannequins behind him.

During his set, Uzi debuted a new song called “I make a City Girl believe in Satan.” Summer Walker caught wind of the song, and shared her two cents on her Instagram story.

Summer Walker posted a clip of Uzi’s performance, plugging the new song title and stating, “I Be genuinely curious have these people ever seen or heard a demon before..? Or it’s just a trend cause I feel like if you have you’d stop playin..really nothing funny or cute about it. May God be with y’all.”

TMZ caught up with Uzi while out in Beverly Hills, California, first inquiring about when fans can receive his forthcoming album titled Pink Tape, in which Uzi responds, “I’m gonna drop it.. I probably got two more months.”

They then asked if “I make a City Girl believe in Satan” will be on the project, in which he confirms yes.

Uzi explains, “Not actually Satan, but basically I make a girl do whatever I say so.”

When asked what his girlfriend JT (CityGirls) thinks of the lyrics, Uzi responds, “She really didn’t think too much of it. She was there when she heard me make the song, she knows what I really meant.”

After confirming the song was not actually about Satan, Uzi confirms he doesn’t pay attention to whatever narrative gets picked up by social media.

“I don’t even really pay attention to them even saying that. I just say whatever I want in my songs, it’s my freedom of speech. I come from a real religious household,  but me finally living my life and being an adult, I say anything I want to say. Even if I offend people, I don’t mean to offend people. But if they don’t like it, they have the option to turn it off.”

Uzi also confirmed he does not believe in Satan, and jokes that he’ll keep his braces in forever.

Lil Uzi Vert Shuts Down Rumors That He Worships Satan

Lil Uzi Vert finally addressed allegations that he worships the devil. Over the past week, the rapper faced scrutiny following the debut of a new song at Rolling Loud California where he raps, “I make a City Girl believe in Satan.” Though it wasn’t the first time Uzi mentioned the devil in his music, it sparked an enormous amount of backlash to the point where a pastor denounced the rapper during a sermon. The pastor not only mentioned the lyric but other instances where Lil Uzi Vert mentioned the devil over the years.

This week, Uzi addressed the backlash during a recent run-in with TMZ. While he confirmed Pink Tape would arrive in the next few months and the previewed single would land on the tracklist, he explained what he meant when he rapped that he’d “make a City Girl believe in Satan.” “Not actually Satan but just basically, I make a girl do whatever I say so,” he said, revealing that JT “didn’t think too much of it.”

Lil Uzi Vert Says He Comes From A Religious Household

He said that she was in the studio when he recorded the record. In terms of the backlash itself, he said that he doesn’t pay much attention to it. “I just say whatever I want in my songs. It’s just like my freedom of speech,” he said. “I come from a real religious household but I just like, me finding living my life and being, like, I guess ‘an adult,’ I kind of just say, you know, anything I want to say. Even if I offend people, I don’t mean to offend people but if they don’t like it, they have the option to turn it off.” When asked if he actually believes in the devil, Lil Uzi Vert directly answered, “No” with a grin on his face.

Uzi’s lyrics spurred responses from Summer Walker and Tony Yayo, who both criticized the Philadelphia rapper for promoting the devil. Walker wondered whether Uzi actually encountered a demon in his life. “i be genuinely curious have these people ever seen or heard a demon before…Or it’s just trend [sic] cause I feel like if you have you’d stop playing..really nothing funny or cute about it,” she said on Instagram. Tony Yayo Slams Lil Uzi Vert’s Infatuation With Satan: “I Believe In God”

Lil Uzi Vert’s recent comments about City Girls JT didn’t win over Tony Yayo. TMZ recently caught up with Yayo to discuss Uzi’s controversial lyrics from an unreleased song he debuted at Rolling Loud. Though Yayo chuckled, he made it clear that he was not down with the devil in any way. However, he didn’t necessarily condemn Lil Uzi Vert for his choice of lyrics. “I believe in God. I don’t know about that stuff,” he said with a smirk on his face. “That’s crazy,” he added.

When the interviewer asked if Tony Yayo thought Lil Uzi Vert took it too far, Yayo said, “That’s a little too crazy for me.” He explained that he’s a man of God who grew up in a church afterward when he was asked to give advice to Uzi’s girlfriend, JT. “For me, I believe in God. I’m very religious. Came up in a church so anything that got to do with Satan, I can’t rock with,” he said. However, he doesn’t necessarily think Uzi’s infatuation with the devil is confirmation he’s part of the Illuminati, which many have suspected over the years.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Lyrics

The lyrics stem from an unreleased record that’s presumably intended for Lil Uzi Vert’s forthcoming project, Pink Tape. The rapper performed the record at Rolling Loud California this week where he raps, “I made a City Girl believe in Satan.” Though JT hasn’t responded to the bars, it seems that many people have expressed their concern for her, from fans to fellow artists who she’s collaborated with in the past.

Summer Walker was among those who took issue with Uzi’s bars. The singer shared her reaction on her Instagram page where she asked whether Uzi or any other rappers with similar content have ever actually encountered a demon in their lives. “ “I be genuinely curious have these people ever seen or heard a demon before…?” she asked.“I feel like if you have [encountered a demon] you’d stop playin’,” she continued. “Really nothing funny or cute about it. May God be with y’all.” Check out Tony Yayo’s comments about Uzi above.

Lil Uzi Vert Hangs Out With DDG’s Nephew Woo Wop: “My Twin”

Lil Uzi Vert’s made a new friend in the hilarious viral sensation Woo Wop. The Philadelphia rapper, who undoubtedly has love for the kids, hit his Instagram page this morning where he shared a selfie with DDG’s nephew. “My twin,” he captioned the post as he grinned from ear to ear and WooWop cheesed for the camera. WooWop also shared the link up on his Instagram page. Wop shared the selfie, along with a video of the two together, writing, “I just wanna wop.” Clearly, the two have mutual respect for one another, especially since Woo Wop has taken the internet by storm through his viral antics that often land on DDG’s YouTube page.

A video emerged shortly after of the “Just Wanna Rock” artist and the Internet personality shortly after. Uzi came across as starstruck as he told WooWop, “I can’t believe I met you, bruh.” While Woo Wop seemed equally excited to meet Uzi, the rapper explained that he’s “more lit than me.” Before Uzi left, he expressed his excitement once more and gave WooWop a hug. It’s an adorable interaction between the two.

WooWop Has A Fan In Lil Uzi Vert

The 7-year-old star began to appear in DDG’s YouTube videos in recent years. While DDG’s rap career began to blow up, DDG continued to make his presence felt through family Vlogs shared to his father’s Instagram page. However, he really began to take off with the release of “Kill My Grandma” which quickly began a hit record on TikTok, despite its bleak subject matter. Since then, he’s delivered several other singles that have yet to reach similar viral success.

In addition to the release of “Kill My Grandma,” Woo Wop also paid homage to Lil Uzi Vert in the past with the release of “Just Wannna Wop.” The play on “Just Wanna Rock” wasn’t necessarily a direct remix but Wop evidently took a few notes from Uzi’s original. Perhaps, we’ll see a collaboration between the two in the near future, especially with Uzi expressing his appreciation for Woo Wop’s content. Check the link-up above and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.
