It’s no secret that Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj are a match made in heaven musically, but according to the “Phat Butt” rapper, they’re not exactly the best of friends when they aren’t collaborating. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ice Spice opened up and her and Nicki’s bond. She said that while they’re not on bad terms, they’re not the closest either, despite making multiple hits together.

“We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she explained. “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.” Ice Spice continued, sharing her thoughts on some text messages leaked by an ex-friend of hers, Baby Storme. In the texts, Ice Spice seemingly expressed her frustrations with Nicki, calling her “ungrateful and delusional.”

She appeared to confirm that these were real in her chat with the outlet, though she said this doesn’t change her overall feelings towards Nicki. “I don’t really think she cares about sh*t like that coming from a random girl,” she explained. “But what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations. I could have chose different words. But at the end of the day, regardless of how I felt in that moment, [Nicki] is still somebody I respect as an artist, and I’m always going to admire everything she’s done for me and the culture.”

Ice Spice Speaks On The Leaked Texts Of Her Allegedly Dragging Nicki Minaj

Ice Spice has not had the easiest road since starting her rap journey just a couple of years ago. It seems that at nearly every turn, people are critiquing something about her. Whether it be music, fashion, or any other career decision, there seems to be a lot of animosity constantly. For example, her original album cover for Y2K! was clowned mercilessly online. Fans were making tons of jokes about the title being on a trash can. Another thing Ice Spice has been ridiculed over are some alleged leaked texts from an “ex best friend” in which she tore down Nicki Minaj.

The leaker of the messages is Baby Storme and it seems she was doing everything in her power to ruin Spice’s image. According to HipHopDX, this was not the only time Storme was trying to expose the “Munch” rapper. Overall, she was attempting to highlight that she is fake, fatphobic, a cheater, and a liar. As for the Nicki texts allegedly from Spice, there were a few key messages that set a lot of the Barbz off, especially. Two of them were, “shes kinda like my mom. ungrateful and delusional”. That comparison followed previous texts that explained how the drill artist presented the Barbie soundtrack ideas to her because “that’s her brand”.

Ice Spice Is Moving Past The Nicki Minaj Texts

Overall, the whole situation was extremely messy and now Ice Spice is looking to just forget about it. In a recent interview with BET surrounding the upcoming award show, the interviewers vaguely asked her about how she handles certain drawbacks of being famous like the leaked messages. Spice answered by saying, “Sometimes I’m tempted to engage with certain things. But I also realized you’re just going to give it legs to grow and run with and sometimes I think you can overexplain yourself a little bit. So, I just like to focus on what I can control and what really matters.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Kanye West’s former assistant Lauren Pisciotta is suing him for alleged sexual harassment. In her suit, Pisciotta claims that after working alongside the Chicago MC on various projects, things took an uncomfortable turn for the worse. She alleges that Ye began to send her sexually explicit text messages and videos, masturbate during phone calls, ask invasive questions about her partners, and more.

Now, Dr. Jenn Mann of the reality series Couples Therapy has weighed in on the accusations in a chat with TMZ, claiming that the alleged text messages could say a lot about the rapper’s sexual preferences. “See my problem is I be wanting to f*** but then after I f*** I want a girl to tell me how hard they been f***ed while I’m f***ing them. Then I want her to cheat on me,” one of the alleged messages reads.

Dr. Jenn Mann Discusses Kanye West’s Sexual Harassment Allegations

According to Dr. Jenn, the alleged evidence points to Ye being a “cuckold,” or someone who enjoys watching or hearing about their partner having sex with someone else. This is unconfirmed, though the reality star appears to make a good case. Dr. Jenn also explained that since Pisciotta was the performer’s employee, there was allegedly a power imbalance at play as well as a “violation of trust.”

As for Ye, he denies the allegations brought against him by Pisciotta. He accuses her of blackmailing and extorting him after her alleged sexual advances were rejected. Reportedly, he plans to file a countersuit in response. “It is evident that Ms. Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means,” his representative said last week. Kanye West has a lot of unreleased songs in his arsenal. Overall, one of the most beloved unreleased Kanye tracks is “New Body.” This is a song that was supposedly going to drop back in 2018. Moreover, it was going to come with a verse from Nicki Minaj. All of these years later, fans still fantasize about what would happen if this track made its way to streaming services. With Vultures 2 on the horizon, there have been rumors that “New Body” could very well be dropping. However, there are no confirmations that this is true. Instead, fans have been forced to hope and pray that things will go their way.

In the midst of all of this, Kanye is looking to sue YesJulz for $8 million. He has accused her of breaking her NDA, and it has led to a huge fallout on social media. YesJulz has begun leaking texts, and her latest leak speaks directly to the “New Body” hype. As you will see down below, Julz admits to sending “New Body” to both Ice Spice and Doja Cat. Of course, Nicki Minaj is currently refusing to clear her verse, and it seems like Ye wanted to hear other woman artists on it. Whether or not either artist actually sent back a verse, is unknown.

As it pertains to Vultures 2, the album was supposed to come out on March 8th. Now, however, a date of May 3rd is being floated around.
