Myaap Drops Booty Anthem “Rotation” Ahead Of Collaborative EP With Producer Nedarb

Myaap has been on a tear over the last several months. The rising star hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been carving a niche for herself in the ultra-competitive female rap scene. We say it often, but it feels like every week there is a new femcee looking to create waves in the industry. So far in 2024, it seems that Megan Thee Stallion, Anycia, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and a handful of others are going to be the leading ladies. You can certainly add Myaap to that list, as she has just come through with another new single called “Rotation.”

What is intriguing about this release in particular, is that this will be a part of a new collaborative project. On “Rotation,” as well as the tape, Myaap is working alongside producer Nedarb. According to Imprint, the duo will be looking to make a splash with their EP called YOP! out on May 31. If you are a fan of rappers like the late Lil Peep and Ghostemane, for example, Nedarb was one of their most frequent producers.

Mach-Hommy Taps KAYTRANDA & 03 Greedo For Bouncy, Summertime Jam “#Richaxxhaitian”

Former Griselda signee and Newark, New Jersey native Mach-Hommy is one of the many stars in the underground scene. His terrific pen and ear for solid production have molded him into one of the most respected and consistent artists. The Haitian-bred MC has had a prolific career since he got his start just about five years ago, and pretty soon he will be adding another new record to his discography. Mach-Hommy is titling the project #Richaxxhaitian, but that is about all we know at this moment in time. According to Genius, rumblings around this offering started in April of last year.

One of the independent artist’s closest pals, Jens “The Guru” Elmera, posted a picture with the rapper, captioning it with this message. “#RICHAXXHAITIAN komin’ soon (My Network Different ).” Then, just two months later a private listening party for the album was held on June 15 in New York. Mach-Hommy apparently played the full album. Subsequently, a producer named Fortes shared the album’s cover art and tracklist, but it has since been deleted. Because of this, there is some speculation that the album will not drop.

But with Mach dropping “#Richaxxhaitian” on Apple Music only as of now today, there is hope that it could still be on the way. This record sees the Pray For Haiti creator tap an unexpected pair of names for this single. KAYTRANADA and California native 03 Greedo are two artists that share almost nothing in common with the super lyrical wizard. But if you are a big fan of Mach, you know that he and KAY collaborated in the past on a track called “$payforhaiti.” This track goes over extremely well, as 03 brings a sticky chorus over KAYTRANADA’s signature bouncy sound. Mach is also bringing it, especially on the flow side of things. Hopefully, we get this album and this song on more streaming platforms.

Channel Tres Begins Rollout For His Impending Debut Album With Lead Single “Berghain” Featuring Barney Bones

After a handful of EPs, loads of features across multiple genres, and several loose singles, Compton, California multi-talent Channel Tres is prepping for his debut album. According to multiple reports, including Pitchfork, the soon-to-be 33-year-old is titling the project Head Rush. The release date is June 14 and will be released through RCA records. To get the ball rolling on it, Channel Tres has decided to drop the project’s lead single “Berghain,” with fellow Cali artist Barney Bones. Over the course of his complex career, Channel has never really fit into one genre. His chameleon-like tendencies shine through on this nightclub ready track once again.

The comparison is apt here because this song has a personal tie to the Berlin, Germany club of the same name. It is personal due to the fact that Channel visited this location, and it inspired him to create this trippy and hypnotic cut. “It’s about the time I played Berghain and how the culture in that environment made me feel, I didn’t feel weird anymore. Everyone’s the same, the goal for everyone in that place is to enjoy themselves and be free, and music played a pivotal role in that, said Tres.

Lil Tecca Gives Us A Double Dose Of What’s Ahead For “Plan A” With “Number 2 / Never Last”

That is why Lil Tecca has been on an impressive run over the last year. After taking some time off after We Love You Tecca, the Queens, New York MC came back with a vengeance on TEC.

Tracks like “HVN ON EARTH,” “500lbs,” and “Down With Me,” have reignited some hype around the melodic crooner. He has been able to keep that momentum up in 2024 with the singles “Down With Me,” “Never Last,” and “Number 2,” all of which are a part of new project coming soon. Lil Tecca announced that Plan A would be dropping sometime later this summer and all of these songs have been building it up to be something special. The latter of two were just released earlier today, and both see the 21-year-old in tip-top shape.

Honestly, it has hard to pick which song is better, because Tecca rides both beats to perfection. Like “Down With Me,” Tecca is continuing themes about relationships and side pieces on each single. “Number 2” is about dealing with the latter and them wanting to be his main. Subsequently, “Never Last” flows perfectly after right down to the transition in between, as Tecca sees how replaceable his love interests are. The sequencing of these cuts would suggest that they will be placed right next to each other on the tracklist, which has yet to be revealed.

Ghostface Killah Raps Like The Rent Is Due Alongside Nas On “Scar Tissue”

Nas and Ghostface Killah on one track? Absolutely 100,000% yes. Two of New York hip-hop’s most recognizable and respected figures are hopping on the same song for just the second time ever. It is a shame we have had to wait 29 years for this moment, but it is better late than never. “Scar Tissue” is going to be the lead single for the Wu-Tang Clan member’s forthcoming record Set The Tone.

It will be the first new album for Killah since 2019’s Ghostface Killahs. However, it will be following up a reissue of The Lost Tapes that dropped back in October of last year. Furthermore, Set The Tone will also be the first record for Ghostface Killah on Nas’ Mass Appeal Records. The project is due on May 9, according to Genius, and rumored features include Kanye West and Remy Ma.

“Scar Tissue” sees Killah and Nas shred a vicious East Coast boom-bap beat with killer guitar shreds. Logic Is Letting Go Of All The Stress On “Ultra 85” Lead Single “Fear”

Bobby Tarantino, aka Young Sinatra, aka Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, aka Logic, is back. The prolific Maryland MC, producer, and singer is delivering the first track from his heavily teased album Ultra 85. This will be his ninth studio album among the bevy of mixtapes he has released over the years. Logic does not hesitate to drop albums, but for some reason, this one has been on the back burner. But, we are getting it sometime this year, so at least it is happening.

Fans got a special treat just four days ago when the 34-year-old announced the LP on his social media accounts. Logic included the covert art, as well as a short trailer revealing the lead single release date. The name of the track is “Fear” and is his first solo drop since July 5. His closest collaborator/producer 6ix helped him produce the song.

“Fear” begins differently than some may expect. It has this fast-paced dance-like instrumental in the first leg. At this point, Logic is showing off his technical rapping abilities. But, the beat transitions about halfway through to a more familiar East Coast boom-bap vibe that Logic is known for. It slows down, allowing Logic to sing instead of rap at a blistering pace. He brings a solid message about being one with yourself and not allowing other people to dictate how you will live your life. This is a solid first look at what is to come on Ultra 85.

Bizarre Teases Upcoming LP With Mean-Mugging Single “Uncle”

Detroit has been the birthplace of some of the most special talents in hip-hop history. It may not get the same shine as places like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta, but it deserves to be right up there with them. One of the reasons why is due largely in part to the former rap posse D12. Formed in 1996 by maybe the best to ever do it, Eminem, is no more. The Real Slim Shady talked about it on his surprise 2018 record Kamikaze. He addressed the fallout with his members such as Bizarre, Bugz, Proof, and the rest of the gang.

Bizarre is someone who is still going strong all these years later. Spitting aggressively since 1998, he is continuing his career with an upcoming album. It appears it will be released under Shady Records as opposed to some of his other affiliations such as Redhead. To help promote Ratt Poison, Bizarre is bringing a gritty street banger called “Uncle.”

This will be continuing a very active streak for Bizarre that started in late February of last year. He went on to drop three projects in 2023. T.I. said, “It’s time to evolve beyond a career as a rapper. There are a lot more people who are carrying the torch and pushing the culture forward.” He is also moving on because he wants to pursue other avenues, especially in the business world. Bad Bunny continues to impress listeners in 2023. He has been a nice run of features on some big artists’ records. You can find on the reggaeton-inspired cut “K-POP” on Travis Scott’s UTOPIA. His most recent guest verse shows up on Drake’s For All The Dogs. He laid down his vocals on the short and sweet cut, “Gently.” Just a few days ago, the Almirante Sur, Puerto Rico native took home plenty of hardware at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. In fact, he snuck off seven awards, including being named the Artist of the Year.

Now, he might be on his way to that title next year as well. The recording artist’s albums usually do large streaming and sales numbers. His 2022 tape, Un Verano Sin Ti, was easily one of the biggest releases in the music world period. To put it in perspective, the track “Me Porto Bonito” is currently sitting at over 1.5 billion streams. One of his newest tracks, “WHERE SHE GOES,” is well on its way to possibly succeeding that song. It has only been out for five months and it is about to hit 500 million plays on Spotify.

Bad Bunny’s New Album Title Is Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana

That track is going to be on Bad Bunny’s upcoming project, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. In addition, his most recent single, “UN PREVIEW,” will also be landing on it. Furthermore, Pitchfork says that it will be dropping on October 13. It will be a busy day with plenty of other big names in the mix, too. The title translates to “Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow.” That title alone is very intriguing and we cannot wait to hear it. Especially after Bunny said in a recent Vanity Fair chat, “I feel more confident in talking about what I think, what I feel, and how I am living through my music.”
