Overall, Jackson has been pretty good this year. However, in the last few games, there have been some missteps here and there. Consequently, Shannon Sharpe had a bit of a harsh take on Jackson this morning. Essentially, he said that he isn’t really convinced that the Ravens can win it all this year. Shannon Sharpe Gives His Take

“Lamar Jackson has been up and down and it’s been masked because they’re winning,” Sharpe said. “It’s hard for me to trust Lamar. Drake Dubbed Lamar Jackson ‘His Quarterback’ During A Recent ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Stop, And Baltimore Ravens Fans Lost It

Just when the whispers of the Drake curse began to fade away, his latest comments have sports fans on edge. On Saturday, July 29, during Drake and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour stop at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, his special guest reignited the sports fan superstition.

In an attempt to show love to a sports hero in the DMV area, Drake decided to bring out Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, the seemingly kind gesture had Ravens running to social media. While introducing the athlete to the sold-out crowd, Drake threw his arm around Jackson and said, “This is my quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, yeah,” to which backlash ensued.

“No tf it ain’t! You not cursing us with your loser energy,” wrote one person.

Another added, “If Drake curses this man’s season, so help me God.”

“Aww man, Drizzy Drake wyd man?? Too much attention we cooking right now,” nervously penned another.

One person posted, “If the Drake curse affects Lamar Jackson, I promise imma give that address to my driver and make it my destination.”

“Either we’ll be undefeated or complete ass after this one, lmao,” wrote one.

“Doesn’t he have some curse affiliated with him whenever he attaches himself to a team? Naw, Drake, he is NOT your QB; we’re good over here,” wrote another.

Meanwhile one fan completely lost faith in the team’s potential to make it to the Superbowl, writing, “Welp, it’s”over for the season.”

Lamar Jackson Reveals How Close He Was To Leaving Ravens

The Lamar Jackson saga finally ended with a draft-day extension that will keep the quarterback in Baltimore for another five years. The new deal has clearly raised Jackson’s spirits, who said he wanted to throw for “6000 yards” in a post-draft press conference.

However, one question that went unanswered during the whole ordeal is that of just how close was Jackson to leaving. Sure, he put in a formal trade request but was there ever a deal on the table? Was Jackson willing to sit out the season if a new deal didn’t materialize? Some of those questions have now been answered as Jackson sat down with PEOPLE.

Lamar Jackson Legimiately Considered Leaving

The short answer was Jackson would have left Baltimore, if not for the fans. Speaking with PEOPLE, Jackson revealed it was the people of Baltimore who kept him in purple. “I just love everything about Baltimore, wonderful fan base, you know, even though I was getting DMs, like, people gonna miss me, you know, stuff like that.” Jackson was born in Florida and played at Louisville before being drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2019 Draft. “I feel like this is my third home, because I count Louisville as my second home, just because I played there three years, and just the love they show, it’s like, genuine. It’s like I’m part of their family and I felt like when people go into work, you know, whether we win or lose, it defines their week, how they’re gonna prepare for work and stuff like that.”

Eventually, Jackson decided that he would “finish it” with the Ravens, indicating that he wanted to win a Super Bowl in Baltimore before considering the road ahead. “It’s like, man, I’d just rather finish it here. You know? Win my Super Bowl here, like I said, and sky’s the limit, and we’ll see what else goes on,” Jackson said. The Ravens are 2-0 in their Super Bowl appearances but have not reached that stage of the playoffs since 2013. Their deepest playoff runs with Jackson under center are divisional-round losses in 2019 and 2020.

Lamar Jackson Makes Bold Claim About Ravens Receiver Corps

The Baltimore Ravens were finally able to secure quarterback Lamar Jackson long-term on April 27. After an offseason of uncertainty, Jackson signed a five-year deal with the team. The contract is worth $260 million, with up to $185 million guaranteed. At the time of signing, $112.5 million are guaranteed.

His signature became a reality after the Ravens took major steps to improve the offensive weapons available to Jackson. They added veterans Nelson Agholor and Odell Beckham Jr. before drafting Boston College’s Zay Flowers in the first round of the NFL Draft. Heading into training camp, the Ravens have 11 wide receivers on the roster.

Lamar Wants To Throw For “6000 Yards” This Season

Speaking at the Ravens’ training facility in Owings Mills, Jackson made his goal for 2023 very clear. “I want to throw for like 6,000 yards with the weapons we have. I’m not an individual award-type guy or a stat watcher. I just want to do that because no one has ever done it and I feel like we have the weapons to do it.” Jackson, widely considered the best rushing quarterback in the NFL, has a single-season career high of 3127 passing yards. That mark was set in 2019, the year Jackson also rushed for 1206 yards and won MVP. To achieve his goal, his receivers must also be at the job of their game. Of the 11 receivers currently on the Ravens roster, only OBJ has had a 1000-yard in their career. Beckham Jr. last broke four-digits in 2019. However, rookie Zay Flowers did record a 1000-yard season in his 2022 senior year at Boston College.

The plethora of wide receiver talent speaks to an offensive shift under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Monken, a journeyman coach whose career dates back to 1989, joined the Ravens in the offseason. Prior to Baltimore, Monken had helped turn the University of Georgia into back-to-back National Champions. Monken is a passing-oriented OC, having also spent time as a receivers coach during his career. If there is anyone who can turn Jackson into a passing god, it’s Monken. The current single-season NFL passing yards record is held by Peyton Manning, who threw for 5477 yards in 2013.

Antonio Brown Says He Is Signing With Ravens

Antonio Brown was once one of the greatest receivers of his generation. However, his career took a downward spiral after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since his departure from the Steelers, Brown has been on three different teams. However his time with the Raiders, Brown never played a single game with the team. As legal issues have mounted up for the former wideout, many believed that his days in the NFL are over. However, Brown posted a bizarre tweet on Friday, speaking about his future.

In the tweet, Brown was wearing a Baltimore Ravens uniform. As the caption stated, “Excited to return to the NFL this year #RavensFlock.” The picture has caused a storm of speculation on the social media platform. However, it seems more like a stunt by Brown than official news. The Ravens have been busy making moves. As the team recently made starting quarterback Lamar Jackson, the highest-paid player in the league. So, the team could be a little tight on cash.

Antonio Brown Sends Twitter Into Frenzy

While the Ravens may be looking for more talent for Jackson, Brown may not be the right option. However, the team has added Odell Beckham Jr. to the squad. Beckham was last seen with the Los Angeles Rams in their Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The former Rams wideout tore his ACL in the big game, causing him to miss all of last season. However, if the Ravens get Beckham back to 100%, the team could be scary for the rest of the league.

Brown’s Twitter stunt appears to be just that, a stunt. The former All-Pro receiver has recently made headlines for a lot of the wrong reasons. Including missed child support payments and a verbal interaction with a security guard at an arena football game. Now it looks like he could be making a return to the NFL. However, the Ravens may be unaware of his actions. Would you like to see Antonio Brown get another chance in the NFL? Let us know your opinion in the comment section. Lamar Jackson & Baltimore Ravens Agree On 5-Year Extension

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have finally agreed on a contract extension. Jackson and the team have been going back and forth for a while on a new contract. However, according to Ian Rapoport, the deal is finally done between Jackson and the Ravens. Baltimore fans have long been waiting to hear the news that Jackson is staying with the franchise. Now, it looks like they are finally getting their wish.

Jackson is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. The former league MVP knows what it takes to see success in the league. However, the past two seasons have been less than ideal for the Ravens star. Jackson has had to deal with injuries that have ended his seasons earlier. But Jackson is hopeful that the 2023 regular season will see the Heisman winner back to his dominant ways. The Ravens have put more trust in Jackson with the team’s other off-season moves.

Lamar Jackson Staying In Baltimore Long Term

The Ravens have also added Odell Beckham Jr. to the roster. The addition of Beckham seemed to be a sign that the team wanted to keep Jackson. However, Jackson never showed his hand along the way. The Ravens official Twitter account just announced the deal with Jackson is for five years. However, the finances of the deal have yet to be announced. One has to think Jackson saw the dollar signs that he was hoping to see. Especially after Jalen Hurts’ mega deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The long sage of Jackson and the Ravens is officially over. The parties got a deal done just before the start of the 2023 NFL Draft. According to other reports this week, there were still teams in the league looking into acquiring Jackson. However, that will no longer be the case. Now Jackson will look to prove the Ravens made the right choice in agreeing to terms with the QB. Do you believe the Ravens made the right move bringing back Lamar Jackson? Let us know your thoughts on the contract news in our comment section. For the latest NFL news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Rich Paul Breaks Down How He Would Advise Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson’s contract negotiations with the Baltimore Ravens could soon be coming to an end. Jackson has been in a deadlock with the Ravens on how both parties could move forward. However, recent reports are saying that all of the drama in Baltimore could soon be over. But that hasn’t stopped everyone from trying to figure out what the issue is between the Ravens and Jackson. On Thursday, Kay Adams asked sports agent Rich Paul what his thoughts are on the situation.

Paul didn’t want to step on any toes. As Jackson is not officially under the banner of any agent. However, Paul believes there has to be someone behind the scenes pulling all the strings for Jackson. While that person may not want the recognition of being Jackson’s agent. However, Paul believes that someone is helping Jackson make these decisions. But Paul didn’t give away any massive news on how Jackson should handle his situation. Check out the interview between Paul and Adams below.

Lamar Jackson Contract Drama Nearing End

Paul didn’t take a stance on either side. As a potential suitor for Jackson if the QB ever decides on an agent. Paul believes this situation is just like every other athlete’s contract negotiation. The leader of the Klutch Sports Group mentioned that every player’s situation is different. Including how the Ravens and Jackson are feeling during these negotiations. Whatever the case may be, Paul is rooting for the two sides to come together. As Paul seems to be a big of Jackson.

The conversation turned into agent speak. Paul tried his best to not choose a side. However, everyone knows an agent’s best interest will always be with his player. However, the Ravens have a huge decision to make regarding Jackson’s future. If a deal isn’t done, it would be hard to see Jackson showing up for training camp. Do you believe the Ravens and Lamar Jackson will agree on a contract soon? Let us know where you believe Jackson will play next season in our comment section. NFL Team Looking Into Trade For Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson’s future has looked uncertain since the end of last season. Jackson hasn’t hid his frustrations from the team. As Jackson has shared many details about what started his frustrations with the Baltimore Ravens. Recently, many teams have moved on from attempting to acquire the former league MVP. However, there’s still one team that has shown interest in bringing Jackosn in. The San Francisco 49ers have not yet shut the door on a potential deal to bring Jackson to the Bay Area.

Legendary radio host Dan Patrick discussed the rumor of the 49ers attempting to add Jackson to the team. With the NFL Draft coming up this Thursday, teams around the league are exploring every inch of their rosters. The 49ers seem to think they may not be set at quarterback for this upcoming season. San Francisco has dealt with a lot of QB turmoil recently. However, adding Jackson would all but put the 49ers atop the list of best teams in the league. Check out the clip of Patrick discussing the rumor below.

49ers Show Interest In Lamar Jackson

Just as Patrick mentions, any team needing a QB should look into adding Jackson. The former league MVP has dealt with injuries in the past few seasons. However, Jackson’s talent far outweighs any QB currently on the 49ers roster. But the 49ers did spend a first-round pick on Trey Lance back in 2021. Lance was supposed to be the future of San Francisco’s offense. However, a troubling injury sidelined Lance last season in what would have been his first year as the starter.

Jackson and the Ravens still are not seeing eye to eye with a future contract. QB contracts have been a huge topic of debate inside the league. Especially after the Philadelphia Eagles signed Jalen Hurts to the largest contract in NFL history. Yes, Hurts helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl last season. However, Hurts has yet to put up big numbers consecutively as Jackson has done. Will the 49ers make a move for Lamar Jackson during the NFL Draft? Let us know what you think in the comment section. Baltimore Ravens Extend New Offer To Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens are the latest team looking to keep their franchise QB. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens have sent their star QB an updated roster. This news comes shortly after the announcement that the Philadelphia Eagles made QB Jalen Hurts the highest-paid player in the league. Unfortunately for the Ravens, the Hurts news couldn’t have come at a worse time for the time in their negotiations. It now seems Jackson will have a comparative contract on which to base his wants.

Jackson has been a start in his time in Baltimore. The former Heisman Trophy winner has added the MVP Award to his list of accolades. However, Jackson has yet to see any playoff success. Also, Jackson’s numbers have declined since his 2019 MVP season. Since that season, Jackson has only reached 20 touchdown passes or more just one time. But injuries have also played a role in that statistic. Jackson hasn’t been available for the full season in the past two years. But for Jackson, he doesn’t seem to believe that’s an issue.

Baltimore Ravens Send Jackson Another Offer

Jackson’s injuries have played a huge role in his off-season frustrations. The team’s around the league have been afraid to pull the trigger on inquiring about the superstar QB for that reason. But the Ravens have stated time and time again they have no interest in dealing Jackson. The Ravens recently added star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the roster. A move that almost certainly made Jackson feel better about the future in Baltimore. However, it hasn’t been guaranteed the team will keep him.

Hurts had a memorable season in Philadelphia. The franchise believes with this past season’s success, they can build even more success. However, the Ravens and Jackson seem to be in a stalemate with so many moving parts involved. But one has to wonder that if Jackson had an agent, he could be in Hurts’ shoes right now. Will the Baltimore Ravens and Jackson come to an agreement? Or will Hurts’ deal become the straw that breaks the break between the two? For the latest NFL news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Lamar Jackson Requested Ravens Aquire DeAndre Hopkins & OBJ: Report

Lamar Jackson reportedly told the Baltimore Ravens to acquire DeAndre Hopkins, and Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason. According to Michael Lombardi, Jackson said that if they can get it done, “we can talk.” Lombardi discussed what he’s been hearing from sources inside the organization on his podcast, The Lombardi Line.

“I was told reliably by someone who’s involved, that Lamar told them ‘get Hopkins and get Beckham,’” he said on the show. The team has successfully acquired one of its targets in Beckham. As for Hopkins, Lombardi says the team feels they won’t be able to afford to bring in both star receivers.

When the team welcomed Beckham, last week, he made no indication that Jackson would be coming back as a result of the news. “Lamar, if you’re watching, I would love to get to work with you,” the former Super Bowl champion said with a smile. “The goal was to come here and have that possibility to play with him.”

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has said that the team is operating with Jackson still in their plans for 2023. “Lamar’s in our plans; we love Lamar,” DeCosta previously said. “Our feelings about Lamar have not changed one bit since the end of the season. We’re hopeful still that we’ll get a long-term deal done. He’s the right player for this team to lead us to where we want to be. I think the locker room knows that, the organization knows that. I think the fan base knows that. So it’s ongoing. But I can’t think of a situation where we wouldn’t think that our best team is with Lamar Jackson on the team in September.”

The deadline for Jackson to ink a long-term deal with the Ravens or another team is July 17. After that date, he will have to stay in Baltimore for one more season worth $32.416 million or sit out the entire year.
