Last week, Kodak Black said he wants the car and cash back that was seized during his most recent Florida arrest.

According to TMZ, Black is demanding the return of his $74,960 and his Dodge Durango. Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, stated the car and cash were not involved in any illegal activity and are registered to him.

Black has turned over the prescription pills and believes there is no longer a need to hold the Durango. In addition, Black stated the amount of money is a product of being a rapper, and he also has to pay for tour expenses.

Kodak Black was arrested and charged with drug trafficking a few weeks back after he was pulled over and had 31 oxycodone pills. Speaking with TMZ, Kodak’s lawyer Bradford Cohen spoke on his release after a $75,000 bond.

“Never judge a case based on an arrest,” Black said. “There are facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We negotiated a bond of $75,000 and we will move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”

In an update to TMZ, Black’s attorney says the pulls were a prescription to help with serious pain caused by getting shot while he was at Super Bowl weekend in Los Angeles.

Cohen stated Kodak Black handed proof that the pills were legally prescribed to prosecutors.

Kodak Black Got His SUV And $75K Confiscated During A Recent Arrest And He Wants It All Back

Last month, Kodak Black was arrested on drug charges in Florida after police said they found 31 oxycodone pills in his Dodge Durango after pulling him over for his illegal window tinting. Kodak was put on house arrest for violating his probation, but his lawyer claims that the pills police found were indeed prescribed to the rapper for pain from a string of unfortunate incidents for him.

Now, his lawyer is asking the court to push police to return the rapper’s confiscated SUV and $74,960 in cash, which was seized during the arrest, according to TMZ. Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s attorney, filed a motion, saying that he’s already given the police the prescriptions, so there is no reason for them to hold the vehicle or the cash. Kodak also railed against the arrest on Twitter, writing in a now-deleted series of tweets:

This Sh*t bogus Af I feel like This a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired , that’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane. Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this sh*t !

I’m being racially profiled and as a black man in America I deserve my freedom especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love , respect and support from the authorities ! To move freely , not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows. This a self inflicted wound that coulda been prevented ! My people posta made sure my tags stay up and my tints Just right but @ da same time I should have a pass to drive with tints due to my status AT LEAST !!! I show all this love round here just to get slapped in the face.

Kodak Black Expresses Gratitude for Being Part of Kendrick Lamar’s Album: ‘He Ain’t Got To Do None of That’

Kodak Black and French Montana

Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar released his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album, which featured a ton of Kodak Black. Months later, in a conversation with Spotify’s RapCaviar, Black expresses his gratitude for Lamar, including him in the body of work.

“Me and Kendrick got a lot of little things in common that people won’t probably understand,” Kodak Black said. “Both of us, we Geminis. Both of us, we Hebrew Israelite. Me and him could talk and he understand me beyond than what the internet theories. It’s like he got a different perception of me and he ain’t cap. He say we going to do something, and we do it. You know, Kendrick from the streets for real, too. I fuck with that boy. I got a lot of love for him.”

Kodak added, “We could’ve just did the song and it never came out. But he went as far as having me speak on the intros, the interludes, and all this other stuff. Having me do a poem on there. He already know what my intellect go. So he like, ‘Man, I just want you to go in there and talk your shit.’ And he trust me, and I appreciate him for trusting me with his album, cause he ain’t got to do none of that.”

If you are looking for more Kodak Black collaborations, he and French Montana will soon recreate some of their “Lockjaw” magic.
