Drug Test Reveals Traces of Fentanyl in Kodak Black's System, Arrest Warrant Issued

Kodak Black is back on the radar of authorities in Florida. According to TMZ, a warrant has been Black’s arrest over a failed drug test.

A Florida area judge signed off on the warrant on Thursday. The warrant was filed in Broward County court on Friday, revealing the rapper should be taken into custody on sight.

Kodak was supposed to show up to a random drug test on Feb. 3 but no-showed. The following week he came and provided a sample that came back dirty. Kodak was positive for traces of fentanyl.

Once Kodak is arrested, authorities have been ordered to hold him until his next hearing for oxycodone pill possession in July 2022. He posted a $75,000 bond at the time.

Kodak Cancels Album With Drake Over Collab With 21 Savage on “Her Loss” + Yak & 21 Savage’s Beef

Kodak Black Beef 21 Savage

Kodak Black says he no longer wishes to collaborate with Drake on an album. Yak’s sudden decision is due to the Canadian star working with 21 Savage on Her Loss, which was released in late 2022. Recently, the “Super Gremlin” artist revealed on Instagram live that he will no longer be doing a joint project […]

Kodak Black Won’t Collab With Drake Because Released “Her Loss” With 21 Savage

They have collaborated in the past and regularly praise one another’s efforts, but Kodak Black has a bone to pick with Drake. The Florida rapper isn’t afraid of sharing his thoughts on social media, which was the case during a recent Livestream. In a clip, Kodak shares a screen with someone who tells him that they’re waiting on a new collaboration with Drake. It isn’t something that will materialize soon, suggests Kodak, because of a joint project that has yet to materialize.

“I had told Drake I don’t wanna do no collab,” said Kodak. “No songs or no album. ‘Cause we supposed to done did a whole album before him a lil’ buddy.” This was seemingly a reference to Drake and 21 Savage’s hit album, Her Loss. “Before him and lil’ buddy did that sh*t. I had told him I wanted to wait [until] like, 2023. Like, after February.”

A joint project isn’t that far-fetched, considering Kodak suggested an album was on the horizon last summer. “Me and Drake, we got some more music,” he said at the time. “It’s really on like whenever bruh might feel like he ready and stuff. They be like, ‘Is we gon’ drop the album? We gon’ do this?’ It’s really on him. We got a lot of songs, though.”

In 2020, Kodak even commented under one of Drake’s social media posts about partnering on a record. “I Am Your Biggest Fan Sir. … If We Can’t Do A Whole Album Together, I Never Want To Do A Song With You Sir.” Drake, in turn, further teased the collaboration after “Haitian Boy Kodak” arrived. “Man you always give me that inspiration…Real POET…Oracle. … Man let’s do some music for sure. But for real you really on another level.”

Drake Showers Kodak With Praise

Fans aren’t so sure that Kodak and Drizzy won’t collide in the studio once again. As formerly mentioned, they’ve publicly praised one another’s work and found success in previous collaborations. When Kodak went on Livestream in January 2022, fans quickly noted “Champagne Papi” was in the comment section. “You really all that for this generation and the next one if we being honest,” he wrote.

Kodak Black Top Open A Restaurant In His Hometown

2023 has already started off big for Kodak Black. On top of enrolling for college and the lingering success of his most recent release Kutthroat Bill: Vol 1, the 25-year-old rapper has just announced his newest venture. According to the Real Deal, Kodak has purchased property in his hometown of Pompano Beach, with plans to launch his own restaurant. The $1.8 million investment boasts two buildings, which will both be converted as Kodak’s first dive into real estate. While one will serve as an up-scale retail space and restaurant, the other’s use is still being finalized. This investment not only benefits Kodak’s own real estate future but also impacts the community that raised him.

Kodak’s recent accomplishments are followed with admirable praise, especially given his previous history with crime. Since he was a teenager, Kodak has faced troubles with the law, resulting in multiple arrests. In 2020, Kodak was arrested for the possession of firearms which resulted in up to 10 years in prison. However, in 2021 former President Donald Trump pardoned the conviction. Although Kodak has still faced run-ins with legal battles, he has taken steps to turn his life around. Just last year, the rapper paid rent for 28 families facing convictions. Kodak has also been known previously to contribute to philanthropic efforts, particularly to aid in low-income children’s education.

Kodak Dives Into Real Estate After Trump’s Pardon

As Kodak embarks on his new chapter of giving back to the community, he still use past as a criminal as inspiration in the music he creates. In Kutthroat Bill: Vol 1, the mumble rapper alludes to his inescapable roots in tracks like “Slay Like Santa,” “If You Ever,” and “Demand My Respect.” Kodak was also nominated for a Grammy this month for his contribution in Kendrick Lamar’s album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.

With real estate and higher education plans underway, it’s clear to see how Kodak’s setting up a more uplifting future. A future that not only impacts himself but also his children. Still, the Californian rapper hasn’t neglected his musical roots and has several concerts booked this year, including Rolling Loud. Kodak Black Seems To Back Donald Trump’s Criticism Of Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Untitled design 3

While the actual game between the Chiefs and Eagles was one of the best Super Bowls in recent memory, the internet seems to have their minds fixated on Rihanna’s performance the most. Her halftime performance even garnered more viewers than the game itself. Despite generally positive reactions from social media and Rih’s fan base, Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform where he ridiculed the Anti singer for her performance.

“EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history,” the former President wrote. “This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language. Also, so much for her ‘Stylist!’”

Kodak Black, who was in attendance at SBLVII, posted a video to his Instagram story seemingly echoing Trump’s statements. “Uncle Trump said that shit is garbage, man,” he said before he flipped the camera to show Rihanna performing.

However, this was not the first time Trump attacked Rihanna. Just days before her performance, Trump again took to Truth Social where he wrote: “Without her ‘Stylist’ she’d be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!

Trumps dislike for Rihanna probably stems from her support of Colin Kaepernick in 2016. When everything was unfolding with the former 49ers quarterback, Rihanna said in an interview that she had actually turned down performing at the Super Bowl becuase she supported Kaepernick and did not want to be a “sellout.”

In 2020, Rihanna posed for a picture in front of a graffiti-laden car where she spray painted “Fuck Trump” on it after a performance at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

Kodak Black Co-Signs Trump’s Take On Rihanna’s Halftime Show: “That Sh*t Garbage”

Kodak Black appears to side with Donald Trump surrounding Rihanna’s performance at the Super Bowl. Days before Rihanna hit the stage, Trump and several other Republicans called out the NFL for allowing the Bajan singer to perform during the halftime show. Trump and several others accused Rihanna of disrespecting America because she criticized the former president. It largely centered around Rihanna tagging “F*ck Donald Trump” on a car and then sharing a photo of the graffiti on social media.

Much of the backlash began with criticism from Rep. Ronny Jackson, who took issue with the previously mentioned post. “She’s made a career of spewing degenerate filth while badmouthing America every chance she gets,” Rep. Jackson wrote on Trump’s Truth Social. “Why is the NFL showcasing this crap? Rihanna SHOULD NOT be the halftime performer!!” Shortly after, Trump chimed in, writing, “Without her ‘Stylist’ she’d be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!” The comments quickly spread beyond Truth Social and onto every other social media platform that Trump was previously banned from.

Kodak Black Agrees With Donald Trump

Ever since Trump granted Kodak Black clemency, the rapper made it clear that he doesn’t think Trump can do no wrong. Just after Rihanna performed, the former president described the halftime show among the worst in NFL history. “EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history — This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Sunday night. “Also, so much for her ‘Stylist!”

Kodak Black echoed these sentiments as he watched the Super Bowl from the State Farm Stadium in Arizona. “Uncle Trump said that shit is garbage, man,” Yak said as he turned the camera to Rihanna’s performance. Evidently, his undying love for Trump clouded his ability to think critically but that isn’t all that shocking. Still, everyone else loved Rihanna’s set on Sunday, where she dug into her catalog and performed some of her greatest hits. Rih hasn’t responded to Trump or Kodak but we’ll keep you posted if she ever does. Check out Kodak Black’s comments above.

Kodak Black Enrolls In Arizona State University

Kodak Black has been working relentlessly ever since Donald Trump pardoned him. The Broward County rapper’s unveiled a slew of projects, including Back For Everything and Kutthroat Bill: Vol 1. However, he also expanded well beyond the world of music. He built a long resume surrounding philanthropic efforts. He donated to various causes and provided air conditioners to housing projects in his stomping grounds of Broward County. Additionally, the rapper recently walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week for Louis Vuitton.

Clearly, Kodak Black has many things he wants to accomplish. However, it seems that higher education is also in his plans. In 2018, the rapper confirmed that he received his GED while incarcerated. “I just received my high school diploma today and although it is a big accomplishment for me I am yearning for more,” he said in an announcement. “I appreciate my teachers Mr. Williams and Mr. Ward for those times when I would get frustrated you worked diligently to make sure I had the right materials and was ready for this big day.”

Kodak Black Is Going To College

After earning his GED, Kodak Black appears to be readying for his college years. The rapper hit Instagram where he announced that he enrolled at Arizona State University. He didn’t reveal what program he enrolled in. However, he suggested that he might have a few lessons for his profs. “Arizona beennn one of my states fun fact: I’m really enrolled in ASU college after getting my GED in jail I’m jus in love wit applying myself although money so long I can teach the school something,” he wrote.

Kodak Black previously mentioned intentions to go to college over the past few years. After earning his GED, the Florida Gators invited Yak to their locker room to celebrate with them. The “Super Gremlin” rapper used the opportunity as a guest of honor to inquire about going to Florida University to earn his degree. “I got my GED, man, I’m trying to come to college,” he told the coach as the room erupted with laughter. Though he might not be heading to Florida University, Arizona State welcomed him with open arms. Check his post above.
