Kid Cudi fans are in luck! The “Day ‘N’ Nite” rapper took to Twitter last night to inform the masses that his new album is on the way.

Boasting 2.7 million followers on Twitter alone, Cudi wrote in a tweet: “Album this Fall. First singles this summer. The new chapter has begun. Ur not prepared man. We’ve reached a new level.”

While we’re still only in winter, the 39-year-old teasing his project dropping in fall will give his fans something to look forward to. The good news? His new singles will be dropping in the summertime.

One Twitter use replied to the tweet, quoting it saying “Fuckkkkk yessss!!!! Please have a tour in the works  for this upcoming album🙏🥹

@KiDCuDi 🔥🔥🔥.”

Kid Cudi responded by confirming that a world tour is indeed, in the books. He states, “World tour next year. Count on it.”

Anyone who’s seen Kid Cudi live knows that he’s a big touring artist, and his live performances speak for themselves. However, will this be Cudi’s last album?

Cudi previously went on record stating that the follow-up to 2020’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, might be his last. A tweet dating back to November 2022 states, “Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more.  Wont be next year. Keep u posted.”

The deal he’s referring to is with Republic Records. Cudi also hinted at retiring during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music last year in September.

“The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that,” Cudi explains. “I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi. I’ve said a lot and I have other desires, I have other things I want to do. And I do not see me never making music. I’ll always fuck around in the studio, or make something here and there. But, as far as getting in the studio and working on an album, and then going and touring it, I just don’t have it in me. I don’t have the desire.”

Cudi went on to say he had many other things he wants to invest his time in, one being his daughter.

He states, “I really want to spend more time with my daughter. We’ve been kicking it a lot lately and I’ve been having more time and it’s good. She’s growing up, our relationship is super tight. It’s what I always dreamed of.”

For now, let’s bask in the idea that Cudi will be releasing new music this summer!

Kid Cudi Laid Out His Musical Plans For The Rest Of 2023 And He’s Going To Be Busy

Lately, Kid Cudi’s music future has felt a little up in the air. Towards the end of last year, he hinted he was considering the end of making music as Kid Cudi, but he later noted he has another album in him. Later, he said he recorded 11 tracks in the span of just a week. Now, the pendulum continues to swing towards productivity, as Cudi is now laying out plans for a new album cycle to start later this year.

Today (February 27), Cudi tweeted, “Album this Fall. First singles this summer. The new chapter has begun… Ur not prepared man. We’ve reached a new level.” In response to a fan asking for a tour, he added, “World tour next year. Count on it [winking emoji].”

Earlier this month, Cudi tweeted simply, “June,” perhaps an indication of specifically the new singles are going to start rolling out.

Towards the end of 2022, he also noted some of what he was looking forward to doing in 2023, answering a fan who asked what he was looking forward to, “Man, so much. My clothing line, directing my first movie that im starring in from a script I wrote, couple movies coming out, a lil tv, Im seriously the most hyped about it all.”

Wiz Khalifa Revealed Which Two Rappers He Would Want To Battle In A ‘Really Fun’ ‘Verzuz’ Challenge

Wiz Khalifa recently did an interview with DJ Superstar Jay in support of his newest album, Multiverse, where he revealed who his dream Verzuz opponents would be. The discussion, which happens around the 14-minute mark, brought up the popular series.

He picked two rappers who he thought would make a fun competition: Lil Wayne and Kid Cudi.

“Wayne – I think that would be really fun,” Wiz said. “Because Wayne’s a really dope performer, so it’s like, me and him going back and forth, performing bangers – that shit would be hard. And we both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more like a concert than a VERZUZ.”

As for why he picked Kid Cudi, he shared some sweet words about the fellow rapper. “He’s somebody who is like me…” he added. “We’ve got a multifaceted audience, and then he’s got some classic, like, core stuff – the same way that I do.”

Fans in the comments on the video interview also had some thoughts about the potential pairings.

“He really does smoke the best weed to think that. Him VERZUZ tyga or rocky would be cool tho,” one wrote.

Another named all the hits that Wiz has had, from “Black And Yellow” and “See You Again” to “Young, Wild And Free” as evidence for his Verzuz impact.

“those just his most mainstream sh*t lmao y’all tweaking thinking wiz can’t at the very least hang,” they commented. “the only difference is wayne is a little more versatile and has a couple extra years on his résumé! I don’t think y’all give wiz the credit he deserves culturally.”

Wiz Khalifa is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kid Cudi Shuts Down Travis Scott Album Collab but Leaves Door Open for Future Opportunities

Kid Cudi and Travis Scott will not be releasing an album, Kid Cudi has confirmed, much to the dismay of fans.

On Wednesday, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, got on Twitter to answer fan questions. One of the questions was whether or not a rumored “The Scotts” (referring to Travis Scott and Cudi’s real name) album would be happening.

In response to the fan question, Cudi answered: “Naw im not doin that. The moment has passed.”

The news was met with sad reactions from fans who posted a series of sad memes and gifs.

However, Cudi, who worked with Scott on numerous projects including songs on Cudi’s 2018 LP Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ and Scott’s Astroworld and Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight as well as a 2020 song “The Scotts,” did not rule out future collabs, replying “most def” when asked if they might ever collab on a song together.

Kudi did not address questions such as whether or not Kanye West ever apologized to him or other questions about his personal life and rumored celebrity beefs.

Earlier this year, Cudi contemplated a post-music career of possibly becoming a kindergarten teacher.

As Travis Scott has been slated to headline a series of Rolling Loud festivals, perhaps a surprise appearance by Cudi would appease fans?
