First-time mother Keke Palmer is excited about her new addition. The veteran actress revealed her pregnancy last month during her appearance on Saturday Night Live, and now, she’s debuting her maternity shoot photos. Palmer and boyfriend Darius Jackson have been baby-bumping from one event to the next since they shared their good news. Now, Palmer is showing a sneak peek at her unique photo shoot, courtesy of famed photographer David LaChapelle.
“Its giving POETRY, it’s giving MICHAEL ANGELO, it’s giving SISTINE CHAPEL,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s giving MASTERPIECE. .”
“Behold, a mother, a father and the blessed baby we await in pure awe,” Palmer also wrote. “The greatest gift from above we could ever dream. we can’t wait to meet you little one! we are so glad to be your earth parents as God’s hands are placed so gently over your life. .”
“Thank you so much @nickiminaj for connecting me to @david_lachapelle and making this happen! thank you @diandretristan for helping with everything. from this photoshoot to the baby shower haha i love you so much friend!!!”
When Page Six recently caught up with the actress at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, Palmer said she couldn’t “wait to get [her] hands on [her] baby.”
“I’m very excited, nervous, and curious more than anything because it’s one of those things that no one can really prepare you for,” she added.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! While our favourite celebrities are usually too busy to share the intimate details of their lives, the holidays are when many soften up and offer a glimpse into their lavishly decorated homes. The Kardashian family put on an undeniably exuberant display, but other stars like Keke Palmer are keeping things more casual this year.
While hosting Saturday Night Live earlier this month, the Disney Channel alum made a huge announcement. During her opening monologue, she was surprisingly honest with the crowd. “There’s some rumours going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight — I am,” she said.
Immediately, Palmer’s fans reacted in excitement. However, many of them were unaware that she was even in a relationship and wanted to know who her baby’s daddy is.
Presently, the actress is dating Darius Jackson. They’ve been together since the summer of 2021, and though their public comments about each other are few and far between, they’re notably always positive. “I’m glad we were able to help each other throughout our lowest of times,” her man previously wrote on Instagram.
“This is the happiest I’ve ever felt with someone,” Palmer said of the soon-to-be parent’s relationship earlier this year.
On Christmas Eve (December 24), Jackson put a Boomerang on his Instagram Story. In the clip, he kisses the 29-year-old’s pregnant belly. “Mom n Dad,” he wrote above the footage.
For her part, Palmer posted a hilarious IG Reel of her reciting Leora Byrd’s spirited pregnancy monologue. Her baby bump is on full display for followers as she recites along in perfect unison.
“No this sound was meant for you to do it,” Ryan Destiny joked in the comments. “I knew when you ducked down to get into character this was gone be good,” someone else joked.

Keke Palmer shocked fans everywhere when she announced her pregnancy while hosting Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
But after photos of her and her boyfriend recently made the rounds on social media, the actress clapped back at those who criticized her for not wearing makeup.
Photos of Palmer hugging Darius Jackson at a sporting event recently circulated on Twitter, with the Nope star opting for a bare face and red-rimmed glasses while rocking a green jersey.
The 29-year-old confidently shaded her haters in a series of tweets soon after noticing negative comments about her casual look.
“I just saw a few comments of ppl saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real,” Palmer posted on Twitter earlier today (Dec. 6) “I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.”
Following up with a second tweet, the Akeelah and the Bee actor then made it clear that she isn’t bothered by the online chatter, writing, “I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it. Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me.”
Palmer has often discussed her issues and insecurities surrounding her skin.
In an Instagram video posted this earlier this year, she wondered out loud why plastic surgeons haven’t found a cure for adult acne.
“Plastic surgeons, y’all wanna know where the real money at? IN CLEARING UP ACNE.” she captioned the clip, sharing it with her 11 million followers.
“Enough with all the hard work of having to find the PERFECT diet and trying to get an expensive facial every other day,” Palmer continued. “Give us the plastic surgery we’re begging for, and make it possible for black skin as well… I need the dual love.”

McDonald’s Future 22 is an integrated, creative campaign, launched during Black History Month, that highlights 22 young, Black visionaries who are creating meaningful change in communities across the country.
During the 2022 Essence Festival of Culture,McDonald’s furthered its commitment to serving up bright futures by surprising 22 young, Black leaders with $10,000 each — totaling to $220,000 — to help them achieve their community-driven goals, with the help of award-winning actress, singer and entertainer and campaign spokesperson, Keke Palmer.
“It’s an honor to join McDonald’s to recognize and celebrate these awesome leaders, while also supporting their work and mission,” said Keke. “They are creating bright futures for themselves and the next generation – and, really, all of us – and the excitement on their faces during the McDonald’s surprise gave me joy.”
During the celebratory event held at Essence Fest last weekend in New Orleans, which McDonald’s sponsored for the 22nd year, Keke and Marissa Fisher, a second-generation McDonald’s Owner/Operator in New Orleans, participated in a fireside chat moderated by McDonald’s Senior Director of Cultural Engagement, Elizabeth Campbell, to inspire Future 22 leaders and provide tips on staying true to one’s mission, finding balance while changing the world and paving the way for others, among other topics.
“This year’s Essence Fest theme was Black Joy, and we couldn’t wait to celebrate all 22 leaders and bring them to New Orleans, in honor of their accomplishments,” said Campbell. “We certainly could’ve surprised them virtually but making them a part of our Essence Fest moment meant unlocking the additional community of supporters who are McDonald’s Owner/Operators and the Essence Fest family, to further celebrate them and demonstrate our belief in their work. It was more special than imagined, representing our commitment to feeding and fostering the communities we serve.”
All weekend long, the Future 22 leaders were invited to celebrate the Essence Festival of Culture 2022 theme of “Black Joy” through different McDonald’s activities, including a celebratory event in their honor, impactful experiences at its branded booth, loads of entertainment, and show-stopping performances. Future 22 campaign spokesperson Keke Palmer announced the funds during the celebratory event following a fireside chat with New Orleans-based Owner/Operator Marissa Fisher on staying true to one’s mission, creating your own opportunities and finding balance while changing the world. Moderated by McDonald’s Senior Director of Cultural Engagement, Elizabeth Campbell.
McDonald’s Future 22 and the Essence Fest partnership are two of the many company initiatives that celebrate Black excellence. For more than 65 years, McDonald’s and its Owner/Operators have awarded scholarships to HBCU students, and created impactful partnerships with community organizations like the National Urban League, NAACP, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and more. And this year, McDonald’s is proud to congratulate the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association for 50 years of entrepreneurial and community excellence.
