Kanye West Insulted Kim Kardashian With A Marge Simpson Comparison After He Stopped Dressing Her

Kanye West has of course had a longstanding interest in fashion, which he has used to help define Kim Kardashian’s style. In fact, on a new episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian says in November 2021, she started dressing herself for the first time in a decade. She chose her own outfit for a 2021 event, which did not get positive feedback from Ye.

As Yahoo! reports, on the episode, Kardashian spoke about how she was “so nervous” to pick her look for WSJ Magazine‘s 2021 Innovator Awards but went with a faux leather look from her Skims x Fendi collection.

Kardashian said, “[Kanye] called me afterwards. He told me my career’s over and then he showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar.”

While we don’t know what specific The Simpsons image West sent to Kardashian, one Twitter user shared what looks like a good candidate:

Kardashian also noted, “I got to a point where I would ask [Kanye] for advice for everything down to what I wear. Even now I’m having panic attacks, like, what do I wear?”

She also said elsewhere in the episode, “That’s his love language, is clothes. I always just trusted in him, but it’s not just about clothes. That was, like, the last thing we had really in common. I’m trying to figure out, like, who am I in the fashion world? Who am I by myself? I was always, like, The Kardashians with my sisters and then I was, like, Kimye. Like, who is Kim K? That is the jump. How do I get there without Kanye?”

Kanye West Gets Nostalgic In His Deepfake ‘Life Of The Party’ Video

Kanye West’s love for his mother is very well-documented, but he will always take any moment to pay more homage to Ms. Donda. This time, he did so through the sentimental “Life Of The Party” video which debuted on the evening of Mother’s Day. The two-minute, 39-second visual functions more as a photo album, showing photos of young Kanye in school or with his family. Instead of static photos, each shows a different iteration of the Chicago artist rapping along to the lyrics of the record via deepfake technology.

Andre 3000 and his verse are noticeably absent, perhaps due to the drama surrounding “Life Of The Party” when the world first heard it on OVO Sound Radio. While that version of the song featured a heartfelt verse from one half of Outkast, West took the opportunity to throw more jabs at his formal rival Drake.

The “Life Of The Party” video is also set to appear in the first TV commercial for Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga. According to a press release, new products from the collaboration will be shown in the commercial before being made available to purchase on May 25 through the Yeezy Gap website, as well as Farfetch, Mytheresa, and Luisa Via Roma.

Kanye West’s Video For ‘Life Of The Party’ Will Premiere In An Ad For Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga

As 2022 got underway, it appeared that Kanye West would shift his attention to his eleventh album Donda 2. The project eventually arrived in February, but not in the traditional way that we might have expected. He decided that the album would be housed exclusively on his Stem Player website, and to this day, he’s yet to upload the project to streaming services. However, since releasing Donda last summer, Kanye has continued to share content from the album. He dropped a visual for “Hurricane,” the Grammy-winning standout from the album and now he’s announced that a visual for “Life Of The Party” is on the way.

The track, which features Andre 3000 and finds both rappers speaking about their mothers, will have a matching visual for it released later today. With today being Mother’s Day, it’s a perfect day to share the video for the song. The visual will be available to view on all streaming platforms starting at 9:45pm EST later tonight.

A press release for the video’s announcement also revealed that the visual will appear in the first TV commercial for Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga.
