GloRilla Deletes Controversial Tweet Joking About The Election Results

GloRilla posted and deleted a joke about already having access to birth control on X (formerly Twitter) in response to the news that Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. “I been got on birthday control anyway,” she wrote on the platform, as caught by The Neighborhood Talk. She had endorsed Harris during a rally in Milwaukee, earlier this month.

Fans had mixed responses to Glo’s post. One user complained about her facetious attitude: “This why Kamala lost yall wanna keep making jokes instead of taking some sh*t serious for once smh.” Another user wrote: “Y’all love laughing at ignorance while dressing it up as a joke.” Check out GloRilla’s full post on Instagram below.

Kamala Harris Concedes The Election To Donald Trump

Trump declared victory in the election around 2:30 AM, EST on Wednesday morning, after dominating across the board electorally. The wins for Republicans didn’t stop there either with the Associated Press reporting that Republicans have won control of the U.S. Senate as well. The House of Representatives, however, still appears to be up for grabs.

Lil Pump even trended today for his reaction to the election results, which included digs at various celebrities who endorsed Harris.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung released a statement today, per Washington Post, confirming that Harris and Trump spoke today and that she congratulated him on the win. “President Trump acknowledged Vice President Harris on her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign, and both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country,” Cheung said. Reportedly, they also “discussed the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.”

Not everyone is disappointed by Harris’ loss, as several social media users and peers have also had positive reactions to the news. 50 Cent, for example, recently took to Instagram to congratulate Trump on his victory. “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner s***. Her speech at the Milwaukee rally was essentially a scathing rant on Donald Trump, labeling him a “hustler” and not in a good way. “Donald Trump is a hustler. Who is trying to hustle women out of their rights and hustle Americans out of their money. He’s selling more than watches and sneakers. He’s selling bigotry, misogyny, division, chaos, and confusion.” It led to a lot of criticism from the internet and other celebrities alike such as the ever-vocal Azealia Banks. She labeled it as “eye-goungingly cringe” and affirms that Cardi B was putting on a “stupid latina shtick.”

The New York rapper was steadfast in her response to everyone bashing it, saying, “I worked so hard, bro. I worked so hard on my speech.” Unfortunately, her effort to support Kamala Harris and her vision did not pan out, as Trump went on to win the electoral vote 292-224. This was far from all Cardi had to say about the election results, however. In a now-deleted video, she also suggested that some states might experience hurricanes as a result of their Trump support. “This is why some of y’all states be getting hurricanes,” she said. It remains unclear exactly why Cardi decided to delete the video. It’s possible she was receiving backlash for it, or thought she had taken her shade a bit too far.

Her remark comes just days after she shut down a Tweet from Elon Musk, who called her a “puppet” for speaking at Harris’ rally. “I’m not a puppet Elon,” she wrote at the time, “I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a** off to provide for me! CNN projects that former President Donald Trump has defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, securing a return to the White House.
