Lil Uzi Vert Played Santa For Their Girlfriend JT, Gifting Her An Extravagant Gold Watch For Christmas

Lil Uzi Vert and their partner, City Girls’ JT, had quite an extravagant holiday, based on a new Instagram Story. JT posted that Uzi got her a gold Richard Mille watch, which HipHopDX has noted ranges in cost from “$60,000 to $1.3 million.”

While it’s still unclear how much Uzi exactly spent, JT’s watch is definitely fancy, so it’s safe to say it was still a lot. “Thank you Santa vert,” she captioned the picture with a pink heart.

Back in November, it was also speculated that the rapper power couple had split. JT herself had tweeted “SINGLE!” — but it seems now that it could have been referring to a song rather than her relationship status. Plus, as recently as July, she shared a heartfelt Instagram post for Uzi’s birthday. (It has since been removed.)

“I love you uzi,” JT wrote. “I’m crying making this post because you are literally a dream come true! I feel like with everything I been through in life you are one of my greatest rewards! I wake up everyday to either your frown or smile …either works for me, as long as you’re right there.

“You are my best friend, my twin flame. you work so hard, you deserve the world!” she added. “I love everything about you… from your main character energy to still being able to make me feel like I’m the only person in the room! I saw you go through so much & in those times you still held me down.”

GloRilla Brushed Off Rumors Of Beef With Saweetie And Has No Idea Where That Idea Even Came From

This past year proved to be fruitful for Memphis rapper GloRilla. Her songs like “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2,” with Cardi B, proved to be viral hits. But with a platform like the one she’s earned this year comes downsides to fame, including rumors.

“F.N.F.” became a quick favorite in the rap world, with her peers, Latto and JT of City Girls quickly hopping onto a remix of the track. Though, it was previously announced that Saweetie would remix the track, and her verse even leaked to the internet and received much play in the clubs.

Because of this switch, rumors began to circulate that GloRilla and Saweetie were beefing. In a recent interview with Complex, GloRilla revealed that those rumors couldn’t be further from the truth, nor is she invested in beef with anyone else.

“I ain’t know they was trying to make us beef,” Glo said. “We never thought that sh*t. We always, ‘What’s up, sis?’ I don’t know what the f*ck they talking about. In general, they do try to pit women against each other. They don’t do that to males. It be a lot of lying and sh*t. That’s why I learned to not give a f*ck about any of that sh*t.”

JT Says Nobody Can Compare To Beyoncé: “Not A Soul”

2022 was another busy year for the City Girls. Although they didn’t drop a full-length project, they still managed to stay relevant.

Dropping two successful singles, “Top Notch” with Fivio Foreign and “Good Love” with Usher, the rap duo made it clear that hey aren’t going anywhere.

In August, they also made an appearance on DJ Khaled’s “BILLS PAID” alongside Latto. The song served as a single to the record producer’s thirteenth studio album, GOD DID.

One artist who had a monstrous year yet again was none other than Beyoncé. Dropping her dance-infused album, RENAISSANCE in July, the Houston native was effective in continuing her streak as one of the most dominant artists of the 2000s.

As a result, she appeared all over the Billboard charts once again. Shortly following its release, all 16 tracks from the album landed on the Hot 100. One half of the City Girls, JT, took to her Twitter account yesterday (December 13) to share her thoughts on the “Crazy In Love” singer’s greatness.

The tweet came in response to a post asking the Twitter-verse who, out of all the new singers, could pull off Beyoncé’s performance for her 2004 hit, “Check On It.” The 30-year-old was to-the-point with her response. “Not a soul, next,” she wrote.

Of course, the fellow performers are no strangers to one another. Just last year, the pair shared a bonding moment together at a Fourth of July party reportedly thrown by Michael Rubin.

While taking to Twitter the following day to detail a conversation between the two, JT couldn’t contain her excitement.

“I love Beyoncé if I didn’t feel like I made it no other day tonight I did! She told me I was beautiful & she’s proud & to keep going! God look At my life….I came from nothing at all,” she wrote.

The “Act Up” rapper was certainly appreciative of the kind words.

Nicki Minaj And JT Clear Up Rumors That They Have Beef Because Of Their Instagram Live

Nicki Minaj and JT were on an Instagram Live over the weekend when some drama came up. The “Super Bass” rapper had JT recite a diss track that she wrote about her years ago. The pair were having fun, but people in the chat interpreted it in different ways. Many thought that this should’ve sparked a fight between them, prompting JT to take to Twitter to tell fans to calm down.

“Y’all so delusional, EYE wanted to repeat the song I made in my car!” JT wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “We was LAUGHING the whole live like a phone convo… We talked about literally everything and it was all laughs.”

Minaj backed her up, writing, “Man f*ck these DUDS, babe. Everyone on the live KNOWS how DOPE it was from beginning to end. We were having fun, being silly.” She added, “It’s a lil freestyle she was actually MAKING UP OFF THE TOP OF HER HEAD IN HER HAR. Since y’all keep trying to pull her down, Ima go MAD hard for her. WATCH.”

JT then thanked her: “You don’t even have to, you do enough behind the scenes! You are so sweet to me! & relatable to me! Idk what’s not clicking & what got everybody so tight! But I can’t be pulled down about my genuine feelings ima say this 1,000 times…I love you…thank you.” At least that was resolved quick.

JT Was Super Upset About Being Mistaken For Saweetie By A DJ Playing Her ‘F.N.F.’ Remix

On Friday, breakout Memphis rapper GloRilla released the remix of her viral hit “FNF (Let’s Go),” which has been rampaging all over playlists and DJ sets all summer. However, someone forgot to give the updated version of the single to a Texas DJ over the weekend, resulting in a case of mistaken identity that annoyed of the track’s guest rappers into a frustrated Twitter tirade.

GloRilla originally billed Saweetie on her breakout hit but instead included JT and Latto on the final version. However, the DJ apparently played a leaked version, not the one that was sent to DSPs, prompting JT to lash out, attributing the error to an intentional effort to shade her. “This DJ in Texas at KAMP intentionally played Saweetie verse & keep saying JT boy if you don’t get your delusional bitch ass on,” she tweeted. “Y’all n****s in this industry catty & weird.”

“I’m tired of being humble & nice,” she continued in a later tweet. “y’all pussy ass f*ck ass hoe ass ghost writer ass wish y’all had a Pussy ass pick me ass N****s better find a TOY!!!!!!! Don’t play in my face don’t cause I’m with it I’m with whatever.”

And while this may seem like a big reaction to a size one problem (a quote from City Girls’ Issa Rae-produced HBO show Rap Sh!t), she does have a point. Even if it was just a mistake, any professional DJ worth their Serato should be able to correctly identify which female rapper is which, no matter their personal musical taste (with Serato, there’s actually no excuse, since everything is done on a screen rather than having to cart around and catalog crates full of records).

However, because fans are always looking for any sign of drama and beef between the women in rap (legacy of rap media pitting them against each other throughout the ’90s and 2000s), JT made sure to insist she had no issue with Saweetie. “She’s not on the song DONT PLAY IN MY FACE!” she wrote. “I love her, she’s nice! But it’s messy & uncalled for. This industry designed to play women, these n****s don’t go through none of this.”

JT later deleted all the tweets, instead choosing to focus on her other guest appearance from NMF on Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” remix — although that song is generating a fair amount of drama as well.
