Heat-Pelicans Fight Suspensions Announced

Jimmy Butler, Naji Marshall, and Nikola Jovic will be suspended for a game while Jose Alvarado and Thomas Bryant will miss three games for their respective roles in the brawl that broke out at Heat-Pelicans on Friday night. Alvarado and Bryant’s punishments were deemed more severe due to the pair reigniting tensions between the teams after the original scuffle had died down.

However, fans will note that Draymond Green still received a larger suspension for placing Rudy Gobert in a chokehold earlier in the season. Green missed five games for that incident. Fans will likely soon voice their distaste for the league’s double standard as news of the suspensions begins to spread.

Butler was one of four players ejected after a wild brawl broke out between Heat and Pelicans players on Friday night. Jimmy Butler was one of four players ejected after a wild brawl broke out between Heat and Pelicans players last night. A hard foul on Zion Williamson caused tensions to boil over, with Butler and Naji Marshall seen grabbing each other by the neck. Thomas Bryant and Jose Alvarado were also ejected alongside Butler and Marshall. However, for many fans, this was a very familiar sight and thus, they wanted very similar consequences. Earlier this season, Draymond Green received a five-game suspension after putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold. Fans argued that if the league had any consistency, similar punishments would be handed down as a result of the brawl in New Orleans.

Williamson, who is listed as a game-time decision due to a foot injury, is averaging 22.5/5.4/4.9 this season. He is shooting a league 12th-best 58.5% from the field.

Jimmy Butler Is Apparently Working On A Country Album But Is ‘Unlikely’ To Sing On It

Jimmy Butler‘s taste in music is all over the place. Everyone knows that the Texas native loves country music, he’s a big Taylor Swift fan, and as we learned during his appearance at media day before this season, he’s just like me. (i.e.: A guy in his 30s who still really likes the song “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” by Panic! at the Disco.)

All of this is to say that Butler, perhaps unsurprisingly, wants to pursue his love of music a little more seriously. And in a new piece by Claire de Lune in The Guardian, we learned that Butler is working on a country album, and that he’s already recorded 60 or so songs for the project. Now, this is Jimmy Butler we’re talking about here, so there are equal odds on “this never sees the light of day” and “he will drop it sometime in the next 20 minutes.” But one thing is for sure: If this album does ever get released for public consumption, we will probably not hear Butler sing on it, as he liked his role to something similar to DJ Khaled, who he loves.

“He’s a crazy talented individual,” Butler told de Lune. “To bring all these artists together and to have them be able to maintain the egos and be like, ‘Yo, look, this is what we’re trying to get done here,’ he’s mastered it. I freaking love DJ Khaled. ‘We are the best,’ as he would say.”

Hopefully all of this is trending towards a world where Butler opens a chain of coffee shops that only plays music he created, which sure seems like something he would do.

Shaq Dresses As Emo Jimmy Butler For Halloween Episode Of “Inside The NBA”

Shaq was without a doubt the winner of Inside The NBA‘s costume contest. Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson both played it safe, going the pop culture route as Top Gun‘s Iceman and The Godfather‘s Vito Corleone respectively. Meanwhile, Charles Barkley threw it back to an iconic Kevin Durant insult leveled at him, coming into work as a bus driver. However, Shaq took the cake as he rolled up to set as “Emo Jimmy Butler”, a reference to one of the offseason’s more viral moments. Everything about the costume was perfect, from the painfully 2000s wig to the fake nose and lip rings.

Butler wasn’t playing on Tuesday night, with the Heat having lost to the Bucks on Monday night. However, it was definitely one of the standout costumes of the evening. Of course, Giannis had set the tone after that Bucks victory, showing up to his post-game press conference dressed as the Hulk. However, perhaps the closest contender to Shaq’s meme reference was Victor Wembanyama. The 7″4 Spurs rookie perfectly embodied Slenderman as he rolled up to the team’s game against the Suns. In fact, Wemby’s outfit was referenced on Inside The NBA, with Barkley roasting Shaq for not knowing who Slenderman was.

Wembanyama & Spurs Stun The Suns

However, Wemby’s costume wasn’t the only scary thing about Spurs-Suns. Phoenix, widely considered one of the major contenders in the West, found themselves left holding nothing but candy corn and an apple. Up as many as 20 in the third quarter, and up 10 with about 5 to go in the fourth, the Suns clearly thought they had the game in the bag. Despite this, the Spurs kept pushing and with 6.1 seconds left, Wembanyama slammed down a putback dunk to close the gap to one. The ball found itself in the hands of Kevin Durant, only for Keldon Johnson to execute a nasty steal and drive to the basket for the one-point win.

“I seen Tre had him in the corner, and I was just like, sh-t, let’s make a play. The worst that could happen was they call the foul and they shoot free throws. But we had to make something happen. Time was running down. So my mindset was just make a play on the ball and, after that, just try to finish it,” Johnson said of the game-winning moment. While the Suns lamented bad officiating on their failed foul pull, even Durant admitted that it was just one of those things. The win was huge for the Spurs, especially after the 40-point blowout they suffered over the weekend. They have another game against the Suns tomorrow.

Overall, he is someone who gets his team going in the playoffs, and it has led to two NBA Finals appearances. Unfortunately, Butler has yet to win an NBA title with his squad. Despite attempts to get Damian Lillard in the offseason, it was the Bucks who ended up getting him. Now, Butler has a tough task ahead, but he is ready to go after it.

Today was NBA Media Day, and teams around the league were having players conduct photoshoots. Last season, Butler made waves for his hairstyle during media day; a hairstyle that he immediately abandoned when the season started. Subsequently, it seems like Butler has tried to recreate some of that magic as he came into media day with straightened hair. Fans immediately recognized Butler was simply going for what he tried back in 2022. However, this time around, he may have been even more successful.

Jimmy Butler Tries Something New

Perhaps the hair can be explained by his desire to release a country music album. While talking to Rolling Stone, Butler revealed his love of the genre and how he has been working on an album. He even has a plethora of songs written and completed. “I don’t want to tell anyone who I’ve been writing with because then it’ll ruin the surprise,” Butler explained. “Now, I’m in the lab writing and producing country music. We got some real artists and songwriters. We probably got around 45 tracks right now, and I hope to go write some more. There’s definitely going to be an album.”

Whether or not this album actually comes out, remains to be seen. However, it is crystal clear that things are getting very interesting on the NBA front these days. That is what he desperately wants to add to his impressive resume. The Milwaukee Bucks emerge as the victors in the trade as they bring in the seven-time all-star to go along with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

This formidable duo may now be prohibitive favorites over Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Miami to reach and win the NBA Finals. The other team involved in this trade is the Phoenix Suns. The Blazers will get Jrue Holiday, who will be elsewhere, Deandre Ayton, and Toumani Camara. Additionally, a first-round pick in 2029 and the right to swap first-rounders in 2028 and 2030 all from Milwaukee are in the package too. For the Suns, they receive Nassir Little, Grayson Allen, Jusuf Nurkić, and Keon Johnson.

Jimmy Butler Claims The Bucks Tampered

Possibly the person hurting the most from this trade is Miami’s superstar, Jimmy Butler. The two were expecting to be taking the floor together for almost the entire duration of the offseason, but that is now over. Jimmy is one of the funniest athletes in the sport and he reacted to the news the best way possible. In this clip above, he hilariously demands the NBA to investigate the Bucks for tampering with the Lillard trade. He says, “Yo NBA man. Y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering.” He goes on, “Y’all do. I’m just gonna put that out there. Y’all didn’t hear it from me but I heard it from somebody.” This will be big storyline throughout the 2023-2024 NBA season in what will be another exciting campaign.

J Balvin Joins Jimmy Butler For Some Streetball

Jimmy Butler and J Balvin teamed up for a game of pickup basketball this week. Both men showed off some flair before enjoying some food with the rest of the crew. It’s good to see Balvin enjoying himself as he prepares to drop a new album later this year. Back in July, Balvin told Nylon that the project is very advanced, but it’s easy to digest.” Back to the video released today, Butler can be seen dunking and generally outplaying everyone. But regardless of Butler’s skill, everyone appears to be having a good time.

While enjoying breakfast, Butler can be seen vibing to the music over bowls of what appears to be chicken and rice. Furthermore, while the quality of the video isn’t the best, someone says something to Butler in Spanish. Butler can be saying, “no no, I’m not going to let you hype me,” presumably in response to his vibing and dancing.

Jimmy Butler And J Balvin Shoot Hoops

This is something of a more positive basketball experience than the one Butler had earlier in the summer. While touring China in July, a fan hit Butler in the face with a shoe. “Man, what an unreal experience,” Butler said to the camera. “First of all, besides getting hit in the face with a shoe, which was probably my favorite part of the whole thing.” The video included footage of the incident, with what appeared to be a pink Croc gently bouncing off Butler’s face. The incident occurred in Taiyuan, a city of around 5.3 million people in Eastern Central China. However, Butler seemed unharmed and, as mentioned, laughed off the incident as his “favorite part” of the outing.

However, playing basketball with J Balvin is not the only thing that Butler has been up to. He also joined the ball crew at the US Open. Butler was on hand to perform ballboy duties in a exhibition between Frances Tiafoe and Carlos Alacaraz. Butler traveled to London earlier in the year to support Alacaraz at Wimbledon. The young Spaniard eventually won the tournament in a thrilling final against Novak Djokovic.

That was the most recent outing for the pair, who have been spotted several times since Shakira’s recent move to Miami with her children. It’s believed that the romance formed sometime after Shakira attended a Heat game in May. Butler was publicly in London to support young tennis superstar Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon. Shakira was also spotted at the All-England Club.

After the London date, a source appeared to confirm the romance to Us Weekly. “They have been out a few times, but things are very new and it’s too early to tell if there’s long-term potential there,” the source alleged. Furthermore, the source noted that the 13-year age gap doesn’t bother Shakira “whatsoever.” Furthermore, it appears that Butler is a bright spot for the singer after something of a rough period in her life. “Jimmy makes Shakira smile, and she feels happy spending time with him.”

It’s no secret that Piqué’s infidelity hurt the singer greatly. “This is really hard to talk about personally, especially as this is the first time I’ve ever addressed this situation in an interview,” Shakira told Elle in September 2022. “I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all. … It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it. Jimmy Butler Hits Up Wimbledon To Support Top-Seeded Carlos Alcaraz

Earlier this week, NBA superstar Jimmy Butler took to Instagram to talk about tennis. Specifically, Butler wanted to talk about Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz is currently the #1 men’s player in the world and widely considered, being just 20 years old, the next generational talent of the sport. Alcaraz won the US Open in 2022. Entering Wimbledon as the top seed, he was the player to hold that honor outside of the “Big Four” since 2003. After Alcaraz’s 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Matteo Berrettini, Butler declared that he would be traveling to London to see Alcaraz in the quarterfinals.

It’s already been a thrilling edition of the penultimate Grand Slam tournament of the year. Fans had to be warned over the weekend not to pop champagne bottles during play. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic continues his pursuit for a record-tying 24th open-era title, as well as a record-tying fifth consecutive Wimbledon title. Meanwhile, Elina Svitolina, the former world #3 who was as low as #1344 in April, stunned the women’s #1 Iga Świątek. Svitolina will fight for a place in her first Grand Slam final against #42 Markéta Vondroušová. Svitolina previously reached the Wimbledon semifinals in 2019.

Butler Keeps His Promise

True to his word, Butler was in SW19 come Tuesday. While Alcaraz wasn’t due on the court till Wednesday, Butler still took in the sights, sounds, and fans. Furthermore, when Wednesday did roll around, cameras quickly picked out Butler amongst the crowds on center court as Alcaraz took on #6 Holger Rune. It was truly the battle of the young stars, both amongst the golden generation of young tennis stars. Neither player had ever reached the semifinals of Wimbledon before. In fact, neither player had made the quarterfinals before their respective funs in 2023.

After two grueling matches, Alcaraz was able to dispatch his top-ten opponent in straight sets, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, 6-4. That set up a July 14 semifinal against #3 Daniil Medvedev. Medvedev reached the semifinals after ending the Cinderella run of #43 Christopher Eubanks. It is widely expected that Alcaraz will face Djokovic in Sunday’s final. However, Djokovic must first overcome #8 Janik Sinner in the semifinals. It’s unknown whether Butler will be sticking around the rest of the week, but we hope he had a good time.

Jimmy Butler Delivers Message To Heat Teammates From The Beach

Jimmy Butler is easily one of the best players in the league when it comes time for the postseason. Although he hasn’t been able to win an NBA title, there is no doubt that he wills his teams to victory. Overall, the Miami Heat had no business being in the NBA Finals this season. That said, they were still able to make it all the way. It was a truly incredible run that showcased how important it is to have a well-rounded team. While the Finals were a wash, they at least put up a good fight.

Subsequently, the Denver Nuggets are currently being seen as contenders and even favorites for next year. However, very few people are giving the Heat a chance in 2023-24. Mostly, this is due to the fact that they were an eighth seed this past season. Typically, runs like this one take a bit of luck and are hard to replicate. That said, Butler is still very happy with his team’s efforts. He explained as such in a recent Instagram video, where he congratulated his teammates on an amazing season.
