Charlamagne Tha God Is Officially A Doctor

Charlamagne Tha God had to go through a lot before getting to where he is now. Growing up in South Carolina, Charlamagne didn’t always have the easiest path towards success although he was able to grind it out and eventually became a radio sensation. In the eyes of some, Charlamagne is like a hip-hop Howard Stern who has no problem challenging his guests and engaging in some hilarious dialogue.

His success has gotten him very far and over the weekend, he received a massive honor as South Carolina State University awarded him with an honorary doctorate, which now officially makes him a doctor. On Instagram, Charlamagne explained just how much this honor means to him.

T-Pain Firmly Believes Producers Deserve All The Credit

In this current era of hip-hop, there has been a lot of discourse surrounding the idea that it’s no longer the rappers who make the songs good, but rather the producers who are always coming through with incredible production. When mumble rap was at its peak in 2016 and 2017, this conversation was especially prevalent as many claimed the only reason they listened to certain songs was because of the instrumental.

Despite all of this, producers still struggle to get the credit they deserve, and T-Pain wants to change that. While taking to Twitter yesterday, T-Pain explained that it’s actually the producers who deserve all of the credit these days and that most fans actually couldn’t care less about which rappers are on the songs.

“The producers are the ones that deserve all the clout because y’all really don’t be liking these songs, y’all really just like the beats. When you hear a certain producer’s tag you don’t give a fuck who’s on it because you know you gon like the beat,” T-Pain wrote. “Give them they flowers fr.”

All of the producers out there surely appreciated these kind words although it does bring up a larger debate about the state of hip-hop. There are certainly come great rappers out there, but there is no denying that hip-hop production is currently enjoying one of its greatest eras.

Lauren London’s Two Sons Look Identical To Lil Wayne & Nipsey Hussle Respectively

Lauren London celebrated Mother’s Day 2021 with her little ones by her side, filling her with love for the entire day. The actress has slowly been getting back to work but yesterday was a day reserved for family, motherhood, and love. She posted a picture with her two sons, Kameron and Kross, and wished all of the mothers of the world an amazing day with their babies.

“Happy Mother’s Day! To yours mine ours,” wrote London on Instagram. Her followers have been commenting loving words, complimenting the gorgeous family on such a special day. People have also been pointing out how Kross and Kameron look nearly identical to their fathers, rappers Nipsey Hussle and Lil Wayne respectively.

Both kids have inherited a good portion of Lauren London’s genes but everyone is impressed at how both of the actress’s sons adopted mainly their fathers’ facial characteristics. On the left, Kameron Carter looks like mini Lil Wayne, taking the legend’s eyes, smile, and more. Kross looks just like his pops too, showing so much of Nipsey in this picture.

“Wayne’s entire face,” remarked one fan on Twitter, posting a screenshot of Kam in this picture. “Nipsey’s whole face,” replied somebody else, adding a screenshot of Kross. Both posts have picked up thousands of likes with fans co-signing the similarities.

This isn’t the first time that people have drawn comparisons to Kameron and his father Lil Wayne. A year ago, people were astonished as recent pictures of Kam showed just how much he resembles his famous father.

What do you think? The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, I guess!

Floyd Mayweather Vs. Jake Paul Fight Remains A Possibility

Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul have been embroiled in some drama as of late. On Thursday, Jake stole Floyd’s hat directly off of his head and it led to a huge scrum in which Paul was given a black eye by a security guard. This all took place during an event that was supposed to promote the upcoming fight between Logan Paul and Mayweather.

During this event, Mayweather said that he would be down to fight Jake and Logan all in one night, which would certainly make for an incredible sight. In an interview with TMZ, Leonard Ellerbe – a promoter for Mayweather – noted that two fights in one night simply isn’t possible. However, it seems like a fight against Jake could be a very real possibility at this point, which is something fans should be excited about.

Realistically, he could [fight both brothers], but no … from a business standpoint, no,” Ellerbe said. “[Floyd] and Logan are gonna have a great exhibition on the 6th of June and the whole world will be entertained.”

It seems like Floyd and Jake have been angling towards a grudge match and if Floyd beats Logan with ease, then Jake’s match would be a revenge narrative. While some in the boxing community feel like this is a sideshow, you can’t help but feel like it’s entertaining.

Saweetie Responds To Donation Jar Backlash From Busking Video

People really think Saweetie is down bad following her split from Quavo. The rapper has been hyping up the release of her upcoming debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, for the last few months and, over the weekend, she decided to show some love to her fans with an impromptu performance on the Santa Monica Pier. The rapper took the microphone and performed her new single “Fast (Motion)” which had a lot of people talking on social media. Critics were mostly concerned with the donation jar encouraging fans to leave money for the rapper. However, according to Saweetie, she wasn’t personally asking for tips– all of the money was going toward an up-and-coming artist’s pockets.

Saweetie caused an uproar when people noticed that she was asking for change during her impromptu busking performance but according to her, she wasn’t actually pocketing the cash. Addressing the situation on Instagram Live, the rapper revealed that she had seen an unsigned artist singing when she asked to perform her new song, leaving him the donations when she wrapped up.

“Was I asking money? No, girl, I wasn’t asking for no money yesterday,” she said during her live stream. “Actually, yesterday was a spur of the moment and it was fun. We were at the Santa Monica Pier and I saw this upcoming artist, he was singing with his microphone. I was like, you know what, I got a new single so I’m gonna just perform for my fans because I love them so much and a couple of people noticed me. All the proceeds and donations from that tip jar was given to him.”

Since her split with Quavo, people have been coming for Saweetie’s pockets. There were rumors that Quavo had one of Saweetie’s cars, a Bentley that he bought her for Christmas, repossessed amid their breakup. That has prompted a slew of presumptuous comments assuming that Saweetie is strapped for cash these days. Rest assured, she’s still pretty and paid.

Watch her explanation video below.
