Young Nudy Kicks Off New Chapter With “2Face” Single Featuring G Herbo

Young Nudy is about to unleash his new studio album on the world, introducing his fans to a different side of the Slimeball lifestyle with a new single featuring G Herbo.

For the last few weeks, Atlanta rapper Young Nudy has been hinting at the next chapter in his career, teasing the release of DR EV4L, his new album. The project will be released this month and one of the songs has officially been released with a new music video for “2Face.”

The track includes plenty of unconventional flows and lyrics that fans have grown to love Nudy for. He manages to catch a pocket of the beat right off the top, keeping it going before the drums roll in and impressing early critics with his musical IQ. You’ve got to listen until the beat switch mid-way through.

DR EV4L is presently expected for a release on May 18. Listen to the first new single below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Smoking grabba-lo leaf
And my gas not cheap
Riding with a little freak
She gon’ suck me to sleep
While I beat to the beat

Soulja Boy Faces New Domestic Violence Allegations: Report

Soulja Boy finally made his long-awaited comeback into the mainstream with his viral hit “She Make It Clap.” As the song continues to gain traction across streaming platforms, new allegations against him have surfaced. In a civil lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, former girlfriend of DeAndre Cortez “Soulja Boy” Way claims that he subjected her to sexual and physical abuse, threatened to take her life, and engage in other forms of domestic violence during their time together.

Filed as “Jane Doe,” the plaintiff alleges in one complaint that Way’s physical abuse was so aggressive that she miscarried his child and sustained permanent damage to her reproductive organs. In another altercation, the anonymous victim claims after she told Way of plans to visit her family, he reacted aggressively and punched her so hard that his own security intervened to prevent more serious harm.

She continued to allege that throughout the course of the relationship, sex was often nonconsensual and coerced through threats of violence. If she refused his sexual advances, she claims he would resort to physical abuse to force her to comply. The plaintiff explains that even the most minor of “offenses” enraged Way to violence, highlighting how she could not bring up his infidelity without being harmed. At one point, he allegedly shared footage of himself holding a gun and threatening her life.

Besides physical abuse, the plaintiff and her young child were subjected to witnessing Way’s infidelity and were evicted from his home when she expressed concern. “Our client is fortunate she was able to escape Way’s reign of terror and domestic abuse,” explained her lawyer Neama Rahmani, president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, one of the law firms representing the”Jane Doe.”

She continued, “Still, she struggles to rebuild her life as she deals with the stress, fear and humiliation she continues to suffer from the years she remained Way’s emotional and mental captive. She worries about her daughter’s security and safety and about her ability to re-establish her career. How many women’s lives will Way ravage before he is held accountable? We plan for it to end here.”

Soulja Boy has previously faced allegations of abuse from different women, including one last year where he was alleged to viciously attack another woman in a lawsuit. We’ll keep you updated with subsequent developments in the case.

Curren$y & Alchemist Tease “Covert Coup 2”

Curren$y is easily one of the most prolific artists in the game, keeping a steady stream of releases coming throughout a given year. Most recently, Spitta linked up with Harry Fraud for The OutRunners before dropping off his latest studio album The Collection Agency. While that might have been enough for a less active emcee, Spitta has never been one for downtime — though he does appreciate the art of relaxation more than most.

Now, it would appear that Curre$y has opted to set the stage for what may very well be his next move, taking to Instagram to tease a reunion with the legendary Alchemist. No stranger to Alc’s production, Curren$y originally connected with him for Covert Coup in 2011, a project that quickly became a fan favorite — despite the fact that it’s completely unavailable on streaming platforms. Years later, they reconnected on FETTI, an underrated 2018 collaboration project with Freddie Gibbs.

While it hasn’t been technically confirmed that a new album from the pair is on the way, it’s been certainly implied that a successor to Covert Coup is on the horizon. “The cake has already been baked,” writes Spitta, alongside an image of himself and Alc posted up. Of course, it’s entirely possible that the post is a simple red herring, but let’s be honest — artists know exactly what they’re doing, and Spitta’s words heavily imply that a project has already been completed.

Check out the reunion between Curren$y and Alchemist below, and sound off if you’re excited to see the Covert Coup duo back at it once again.

Coi Leray Bares Her Backside In Birthday Thirst Traps

Coi Leray is having a huge year for her career, inching closer to the release of her debut studio album. After years of being overlooked, the Boston-born rapper has found her niche, going off with a few different songs in 2021. “No More Parties” has officially been certified platinum and her other singles, including “Bout Me” and “Big Purr” with Pooh Shiesty, have also been making noise.

As she celebrates her recent success, Coi Leray is ringing in her twenty-fourth birthday today. A bunch of her celebrity friends, including Kodak Black, Yung Miami, and others have already gotten a head start on helping the rising star party up on her big day. As she often does these days, Coi started off the day by showing some skin on her socials, posting a Dior-clad gallery on Instagram.

Rocking a hoodie with nothing but a peach-colored thong on the bottom, Coi Leray caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of people who double-tapped the picture. She wished herself a happy birthday in the caption, encouraging a bunch of others, including Foushée, Lil Keed, and others, to join in.

She has yet to share an official birthday video to TikTok but given how active she’s been over there, you’ve got to know that’s coming soon.

Check out some of Coi’s recent pictures below. Happy birthday!

Nicki Minaj’s Comeback Instagram Made Google Searches For ‘Pink Crocs’ Skyrocket

The makers of Crocs may want to send Nicki Minaj a gift basket after her most recent Instagram post sent interest in their products skyrocketing per worldwide Google trends. The formerly ridiculed footwear brand has seen its cool quotient increase over the past year as fans post their customized pairs on social media, but Nicki Minaj’s post saw searches for “pink Crocs” shoot up over 100 percent after she posted a nearly nude photo of herself sitting on a desk wearing the comfy foam clogs.

According to MarketWatch, the rise in Crocs’ popularity was likely prompted by both the equivalent rise in comfort styling due to the pandemic and resulting quarantine and the brand’s recent collaborations with pop stars such as Post Malone, who gave free pairs of his collab to students at his old high school and healthcare workers, Bad Bunny, whose collaborative pair glows in the dark, and Justin Bieber, whose Drew House design apparently jump-started the brand’s stock by 11 percent.

It’s safe to say that celebrity endorsements like Nicki’s have brought the brand back from the dead after it nearly declared bankruptcy just a few years ago. Meanwhile, whatever Nicki’s got planned for “F R I D A Y,” you can be sure it’ll stir up its fair share of attention, too.

Drake Will Be Honored With An Artist Of The Decade Award At The Billboard Music Awards

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards take place later this month and Drake will be among the honorees, receiving an honor few others can boast: an Artist of the Decade Award. The award is bestowed on the best-performing artists based on activity on Billboard‘s biggest charts: the 200 albums chart and Hot 100 songs chart, from December of 2009 to September of 2019.

Drake’s more than qualified by those criteria. Throughout the 2010s, he had the most No. 1s on the Billboard 200 (nine), the most top-ten songs on the Hot 100 (33), six No. 1s on the Hot 100, and the most No. 1s on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with 18. He’s also the only solo male artist to spend more than 50 cumulative weeks at No. 1 — a distinction that’s certain to change in the future thanks to long chart-topping runs by artists like Roddy Ricch and Lil Nas X — and has a record 232 entries on the Hot 100 chart.

He also holds records for top 10s on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (45), No. 1s on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (22), and top 40 hits on the Hot 100 (120). Whether you hate him or love him, Drake’s the most accomplished artist of the past decade and his influence on hip-hop and pop culture is undeniable.

The Billboard Music Awards air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on NBC.

Donald Glover Is Pointing The Finger At ‘Boring’ TV Shows And Films Made By People Who Are Fearful Of Taking Risks

Donald Glover resurfaced on Twitter early Tuesday morning where he fired off his thoughts on the current state of entertainment after seeing critics complain about reviewing “boring stuff.” While Glover certainly has an inside perspective on the inner workings of Hollywood thanks to his career that spans both network and cable TV, Star Wars, streaming, and more, his comments are less insightful as they are nebulous, particularly when it comes to his remarks on being “cancelled.” Via his Twitter:

“[S]aw people on here havin a discussion about how tired they were of reviewing boring stuff (tv & film)… we’re getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled… so they feel like they can only experiment w/ aesthetic. (also because some of em know theyre not that good)”

Numerous replies to Glover indicate people’s belief that he’s talking about “cancelled” in the “cancel culture” sense. As in no one is making “experimental mistakes” because they’re afraid of upsetting current sensibilities. However, it’s possible that Glover is talking about a fear of being literally cancelled, which has been a major problem in the streaming world, like it’s always been for network TV, so his remarks are cryptic and open to interpretation. Glover wouldn’t be the first creative to complain about the confines of “cancel culture,” so until he offers a clarification, no one can definitively say that he’s merely offering a musing on the constant struggle between art and commerce.

Glover is currently in the middle of an eight-figure deal with Amazon and working on a remake of Mr. + Mrs. Smith with Phoebe Waller-Bridge for the streaming service. So, he might simply be reflecting upon how creative teams fear being cancelled in the traditional sense (i.e. their show doesn’t make it the first or second season) because an audience demands more of the same, or as Glover states, the project is “not that good.”

12-Year-Old Dies After Being Punched Over $1 Bet At School, Says His Family

In an exceptionally heinous act, one New York City family is left without their 12-year-old loved one. The Brooklyn elementary schooler passed away on Friday (May 7) after telling his family that two of his classmates attacked him, with one punching him in the back of his head in exchange for $1.

Romy Vilsaint reported to medics that he was punched in the head after being attacked at school for two whole days in a row after his cousin called law enforcement on Friday to report the Flatbush assault. At the time of the call, Vilsaint was conscious but throwing up, later being brought to Kings County Hospital and pronounced dead.

Vilsaint told family members that he was attacked by two students at P.S. 361 during dismissal. Police are now investigating his death as suspicious as well as looking into his claims of being bullied.

“This is a horrible tragedy and our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time,” a spokesperson for NYC schools told ABC 7. “The safety of our young people is our absolute priority and this incident will be thoroughly investigated, and we are providing supports to both the family and school community.”

Vilsaint’s mother is currently in Haiti and his family explains she sent him to the U.S. for a better life. His family reports that he loved school. “Romy was only 12 years old and his life was invaluable, worth far more than the $1 dare that cut his life short and left his family searching for answers,” said NYC Councilmember Farah Louis.

She continued, “This Mother’s Day weekend will be different for the Vilsaint family and his mother miles away in Haiti trying to cope with the loss of her son. This is a tragedy for a family who dreamed of a better life and brighter future for Romy now overwhelmed by grief and anguish. No parent should ever have to wonder whether their child will return safe and sound after school.”

“We need to know more about what happened and how to prevent another family from this unimaginable experience. I am heartbroken by this news and extend my deepest sympathies to the Vilsaint family and the P.S. 361 community,” she finished.

Our hearts go out to Romy Vilsaint and his family.

“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” New Trailer Arrives

Though Sony and Marvel’s Venom, led by Tom Hardy as the titular antihero, wasn’t exactly a critical darling, many fans were generally favorable to the beloved character’s cinematic debut. So much so that Venom became an instant box-office hit, hinting at a franchise future with the post-credits reveal of Woody Harrelson’s Carnage.

Yesterday, Sony came through to drop off the first official trailer of the upcoming Venom: Let There Be Carnage, providing a substantial look at Cletus Kasady both pre-and-post symbiote. Directed by Andy Serkis, himself no stranger to Marvel films, the flick appears to be leaning heavily into the comedic realm — at least where Venom is concerned. Having now adapted to the symbiote’s presence, it would appear that Brock and his alien pal have developed a sort of uneasy chemistry, which appears to be played heavily for laughs.

Yet as they say, laugh now, cry later. While Venom and Brock are busy whipping up culinary extravagance, notorious serial killer Cletus Kasady is in the process of receiving his own symbiotic makeover. And given his murderous past, it’s evident that the villain will waste little time in abusing his newfound power. And with Spider-Man stuck in his own cinematic universe, it’s up to Brock and Venom to put a stop to the rampaging Carnage before it’s too late.

Check out the first official trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and look for that to hit theaters on September 24th.

Roddy Ricch Previews New Song “Late @ Night” With Mustard

Roddy Ricch and Mustard have a longstanding creative partnership, working together on some of the Compton rapper’s biggest songs to date. They’ve teamed up on “Ballin'” before returning with “High Fashion” on Roddy’s debut album. Additionally, they’ve also collaborated on Ty Dolla $ign’s album for “Real Life.” It seems as though they’ve been cooking up in the last few months, previewing a promising slate of new music. On Monday, Roddy shared a snippet of their new song “Late @ Night.”

The song features a vocal sample at the beginning of the record, which falls in line with the rest of their work together. As you’ll remember, “Ballin'” also had a heavy vocal sample in the background. The feel of the song is pretty low-key, fitting well with their other releases. As of the time of publication, a collaborative project hasn’t been announced but there are rumblings that the producer-rapper duo could be working on an entire album together.
