Soulja Boy Says He Just Copped The “Ugly” Maybach Truck

Soulja Boy is fresh off the heels of his long-awaited Verzuz match with frenemy Bow Wow. The duo hit up the musical battle show over the weekend (June 26), going hit for hit after taking light shots at each other on social media for weeks to build up anticipation for the exciting installment in the series.

While Bow upped his social media antics game ahead of the battle to aid in the promotion of it, Soulja Boy is a long-established social media comedian. The “She Make it Clap”  artist is known for going viral on the web for his hilarious reactions and trailblazing declarations. Recently, the rapper took to social media to flex a major disappointment.

“I just bought the Maybach truck but this sh*t ugly,” tweeted Draco on Tuesday (June 29). The coveted luxury truck is notably the vehicle of choice for many of rap’s elites.

Travis Scott gifted his creative director a Maybach SUV for his wedding, while Rick Ross is hip-hop’s leading advocate for all things Maybach, even naming his record label imprint after the luxury car brand.

Despite the rave reviews for the truck from other members of the rap community, it seems Soulja was simply unimpressed.

Doja Cat Jokes That She’s Been Canceled ‘Maybe 350 Times’

Doja Cat recently flexed her multifaceted talent on her album Planet Her. But just over a year ago, people on the internet were calling for her to quit music entirely. Fans on Twitter were rushing to cancel the singer after old, insensitive videos of her surfaced in chatrooms with reported members of the alt-right/incel community. The singer apologized, but wasn’t fazed by the controversy as she’s apparently used to getting canceled.

Doja Cat recently sat down for an interview with Big Boy, where she discussed her album, a recent mishap at the dentist, and her celebrity crush (Reggie Watts.) But when Big Boy asked how many times she thinks she’s been canceled on the internet, the singer joked that it’s happened “maybe 350 times:”

“Starting from age 6 to age 25, maybe 350 times. My mom cancels me, my brother cancels me, my schoolmates canceled me — everybody cancels me. I cancel me, my boyfriends have canceled me. Not in a way where it’s like a huge political down power of something crazy that I did. It’s just, canceling is a fight on the internet, and that’s how I see it. It’s a fight for something and I’ve been in pressure where I feel like I’ve had to fight. And I’ve done that my whole life, so anything that happens, I come right out the other side just okay.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Doja sang The Weeknd’s praise over their “You Right” collaboration, saying he was the “sweetest” artist she’s ever worked with. “He’s a good friend of mine. He’s like part of my family, I feel like,” she said about the singer. “We met maybe two or three years ago. But he’s the sweetest artist I ever collaborated with—no shade to anybody else. But he is top notch, the sweetest person, and brilliant, very talented.”

Fans Ship Saweetie And Jack Harlow After He Introduced Himself To Her On The BET Awards Red Carpet

Saweetie‘s only been split up from Quavo for about three months, but fans already see a new rap beau in her future. Jack Harlow, who featured on Saweetie’s “Tap In” remix last year, was caught on camera playfully interrupting her interview on the BET Awards red carpet to introduce himself — and because the interview in question was for The Shade Room, you know it caught the attention of exactly the fans who love shipping celebrities almost as much as sipping the spilled tea from their relationship drama.

During the interview, in which Saweetie was asked to “step into The Shade Room,” Harlow can be seen walking past in the background before pulling a smooth 180 and popping into the shot to say, “Hi, Saweetie.” While shaking hands, Saweetie notices that Jack seems to be the one shaking… which he denies before slinking off to the award show. When asked by the host whether that was Jack shooting his shot, Saweetie betrayed a woeful misunderstanding of the outlet interviewing her, warning her, “I don’t know, but y’all better not be messy with this sh*t.” Uhhh…. Saweetie? IT’S THE SHADE ROOM. You already know what’s going to happen!

Sure enough, once the video migrated to Twitter, the reactions came rolling in, sending both artists’ names straight to the trending topics (where they’ve been quite comfortable for months, especially after Sunday’s BET Awards, where Harlow’s presence was questioned and fans thirsted over Saweetie’s dad). While some fans seemed quite keen on the idea of a love connection between the two hitmakers, others thought Saweetie could do better (not Jack though… sorry, Jack). Lil Baby and Lil Durk Drop Video For “Man Of My Word”

Coming off solid numbers and even better reception for their recent collab album, The Voice of the Heroes, Lil Durk and Lil Baby just released a video for one of the project’s standouts.

In the visuals for “Man of my Word,” the two rappers are zipping back and forth between strip clubs and alleyways, riding in Chargers and McLarens, and, last but not least, holding money directly to their forehead. When they aren’t holding it to their forehead, though, there’s a little virtual gun made up of hundreds that they shoot extra hundreds out of. Neat and practical!

Attempting to keep up with whatever outfits these two are wearing is almost nauseating, only because the shot changes so fast that it barely gives a chance to tell how many blisteringly shiny rings Lil Baby has got wrapped around his fingers.

These two have been at the top of their respective scenes long before releasing their joint project, so much in fact that Brooklyn Nets superstar James Harden literally EP’d the damn thing. Going forward, what better way to further the hype train than by making more material together? Oh, that’s right, going on tour together

NLE Choppa Defends Coi Leray Against Body-Shaming Trolls

Coi Leray is one of the most exciting new artists to have broken out this year. She’s been bubbling under the radar for a few years but during the quarantine, she was able to rebrand herself and become a serious force among the current slate of women in hip-hop. She’s a social media superstar, earning millions of likes on anything she posts. She’s also rolling out her very own sound, tackling this rap thing a little differently than her peers.

The 24-year-old doesn’t just sound like nobody else in the game — she also doesn’t really look like anyone else. Where the majority of women in hip-hop are flaunting curvier frames with enhanced bottoms and busts, Coi has gone a more natural route, relying on her personality, charm, and musical skill to build a fanbase. Following her big night at the BET Awards, the budding star found herself trending on social media with thousands of haters body-shaming her, as they have consistently done with each new photo or video she’s posted. Making fun of her skinny frame and attempting to make the rapper feel bad about the way she looks, Coi is standing her ground and developing a seriously thick skin, but she’s got the rap game backing her up.

Complaining about how people incessantly shame her for being herself and showing off her natural body, Coi took to Twitter to let off some steam. “My body is always trending. I don’t understand,” she wrote on the platform as part of a larger rant. Memphis rapper NLE Choppa responded to the post, backing her up. “Cause you natural. Fuck em,” he responded.

Hopefully, none of the disturbing comments get to Coi because she’s on the right path and she’s becoming a major powerhouse. Check out the interaction between NLE Choppa and Coi Leray below.

Tyler, The Creator & DJ Drama Team Up For “CORSO” Music Video

Tyler, The Creator is fresh off of the release of his seventh studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost. An ode to the legendary Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, DJ Drama’s presence is felt across the project with his show-stealing drops. The album was led by various short-snippets released on YouTube, as well as mysterious billboards with a phone number directing the caller to new song previews.

Today, Tyler, The Creator and DJ Drama unite for the official video for “CORSO.” The rapper and DJ take on a kid’s birthday party as the rapper performs the track as a favor to his friend before his energetic rendition ends with the rapper in tears.

Tyler recently hit the stage at the 2021 BET Awards for the first time where he delivered a show-stopping performance of CMIYGT single, “Lumberjack.”

DreamDoll Reveals She Recently Underwent A Butt Reduction

BBL surgery, which is shorthand for a Brazilian butt lift, has been the talk of the town recently. The procedure involves the enhancement of one’s buttocks using fat collected from other areas of the body. The term “BBL” began recently trending on social media after viral footage showed women lined up at an airport waiting to be escorted on a wheelchair after undergoing the procedure.

Many celebrities have been open about getting the enhancement, while others have simply been suspected of getting the additional help to achieve their signature curves. DreamDoll is one person who’s been open about going under the knife for a BBL. On Monday (June 28), she took to Instagram to reveal she recently underwent a butt reduction, adding that it was her fourth time getting work done.

“Yall, so I just completed a hip removal and a butt reduction,” explained the Bronx rapper in her Instagram story. “This is my fourth time, it is a process y’all have to be patient, okay.”

She shared a subsequent story post showing off her new, slimmer figure. BBLs have notably risen in popularity amongst millennials and Gen-Zers. Dr. Terry Dubrow, known for his work correcting surgery mishaps on Botched, told TMZ that the surgery is “the most fatal operation there is.”

“It’s extraordinarily dangerous. It turns out that it’s the most dangerous, not only plastic surgery procedure, it’s the most dangerous operation there is with the highest fatality rate,” the famed surgeon said.

He went on to add, “The problem is there’s these very small, little veins in the buttock that leads directly to the vena cave, which is the major blood vessel that brings blood back from your body to your heart, to your lungs. If you get fat in those little vessels and it gets in the main vena cava and goes to your lungs, it’s over.”

Hopefully, the dangers of going under the knife for a BBL procedure are being relayed to the large amounts of young people subjecting themselves to it.

DJ Yella Reveals He Was Homeless For 3 Years, Despite NWA Success

DJ Yella says that he was homeless for three years, from 2010 until 2013, despite the worldwide success of NWA. Yella spoke about the dark period in his life during a new interview on the Murder Master Music Show, while promoting his upcoming memoir, Straight Outta Compton: My Untold Story.

“I call it homeless because I didn’t have my own place,” Yella explained. “I had to be on my sister’s couch or somebody’s couch. I wasn’t on the street, but I was like a breath…one breath from it.”

“When I was going through those three and a half years, I wasn’t mad at nobody, I wasn’t mad at the world, I wasn’t mad at God, I was just, ‘It is what it is,'” he added. “And I never had any thoughts of how to get out of it. I never thought about it.”

Yella went on to describe the period of financial turmoil as a humbling experience.

“God had to humble me — take everything away,” Yella continued. “Because it wasn’t no drugs, it wasn’t none of that. It was just…the money just ran out.”

Kyle Massey’s Mom Claims Felony Charges Are Part Of Extortion Plot

Former Disney star Kyle Massey has been facing some legal troubles in recent times. Earlier today, reports claimed that Kyle Massey was charged with one felony count of immoral communication with a minor. Legal documents state that he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to a minor between December 2018 and January 2019.

Massey’s mother has emerged in defense of her son. In a post shared to Instagram, Angel Massey clarified that her son is not in jail but insisted that he’s being extorted. She explained that the allegations were already made public after Kyle was sued in 2019 over the alleged incident. Angel added that this entire legal matter was spearheaded by the 13-year-old’s mother, comparing the case to child support.

“This is basically one of those things, kinda like a scorned — in my opinion — a scorned, you know, like when a man gets a new job and the baby mama goes and you know, go back to the courtroom and go to the courthouse trying to get more child support. It’s kinda synonymous to that,” Angel said. “She tried to extort us out of the $1.5 million and I respectfully told her that we are going to take our chances with the justice system and we’re going to do the same here.”

In the caption, she wrote, “She took the same CALIFORNIA COMPLAINT that she was unsuccessful in prosecuting and filed it in SEATTLE where she lives. MY SON KYLE IS THE VICTIM TODAY JUST AS HE WAS BACK ON FEBRUARY 14,2019 when we got the 1.5 MILLION DOLLAR EXTORTION DEMAND!”
