Buyin’ the foreign with Pesos, I’m too real can’t play roles
Just payrolls, Jeff Bezos, and my b*tch CO-CEO

All you gonna hear is gun sounds

Bruno Mars And Anderson .Paak Are Teaming Up For A Whole Album Together As Silk Sonic

Stop the presses — two of music’s most legendary groovers are collaborating.

In an unexpected Instagram post from Bruno Mars — who has been relatively quiet on the new music front since his controversially won Album Of The Year at the 2018 Grammys — revealed that he and Anderson .Paak have teamed up for what is sure to be one of the funkiest supergroups around. Dubbing themselves Silk Sonic, Mars shared that the two have already made a whole album’s worth of material together, and the first new song will be dropping next week, March 5.

“We locked in and made an album,” Bruno wrote on Instagram. The band’s called Silk Sonic. First song drops next Friday 3/5.”

This isn’t the first time .Paak has worked with another artist for an entire album. His project NxWorries is a supergroup with LA legend Knxwledge, and their 2016 album Yes Lawd! is still a fan-favorite. Bruno isn’t a stranger to working with other big names, he infamously pulled Cardi B onto “Finesse” at the height of her career, and has worked with The Police (!) already. But he hasn’t gone as far as to create an entire album with another artist, so it will be fascinating to see how this plays out. In the meantime, check in next Friday to get the first taste of Silk Sonic.

Slim Jxmmi Gets Called Out By Ex After He Gets On Live & Tries To Leave With Newborn

In September, a disturbing report surfaced with allegations against Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi. At the time, it was stated that the rapper allegedly punched his then-pregnant girlfriend, Kee, in the mouth, knocking her tooth out. The rapper’s mother came forward to defend him by calling Kee “toxic,” but Slim Jxmmi and his ex are once again going viral after he went Live. The video shows Jxmmi making a swift exit with their newborn in his arms as Kee screams for him to give her back her son.

Kee shared her version of events that led up to the altercation on her Instagram Story. “Since my baby’s father wants to go viral, I will clear some things up,” wrote Kee. “He came to my hotel room last night with intentions on making a live of me to try and clear his name. and make me look like I’m the bad person. he’s sending out the live trying to get people to watch it because no blogs have posted it. so he wants it to be seen.”

“My son is a month old, and Jim has seen him 3 times. I left where I live (Los Angeles) and went to where I had support because I had a Csection and he was refusing to help me in LA,” she continued. Kee claims that Slim Jxmmi argued with her via text before showing up at her hotel. “As soon as we met there, he went on live, so yes I tried taking my son and leaving my hotel room.”

She added that she had proof that following their son’s birth, she pleaded with him to help her because she was “exhausted” and still recovering from her surgery. “He would respond with ‘he’s not even two weeks old, he doesn’t need my attention right now,'” Kee recalled. “‘All he does is eat, sh*t, and sleep’ so yes, I stopped contacting him and left LA. I wasn’t going to keep asking for him to see him.”

After leaving L.A., Kee accuses Slim Jxmmi of threatening her, but later she decided to travel to Atlanta so he could spend time with the baby. “I want my son to know his dad, I got a ticket and came,” she said, adding that she’s been in the city for three days and Jxmmi spent a total of 12 hours with their baby. She claims that he put on a show for Live viewers to make it seem as if she was trying to keep the child from him.

“He was telling my ONE MONTH old son his mommy is a hoe and a thot. I’m neither. he is telling my son this on his live. so yes you damn right I’m trying to leave with my baby.” Kee added that the footage will be used in court to explain “why he cannot see my son legally anymore until he  gets help.” Swipe below to check out all the posts and footage of the infamous Live.

Eddie Murphy Rejected Ryan Coogler’s “Coming 2 America” Pitch Starring Michael B. Jordan

Next week, we’ll finally get to see what all of the Coming 2 America hype has been about. Thirty years after the release of the first classic film starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and a cast of acclaimed performers, the world will receive the sequel. Making a second movie was something Murphy and Hall had promised each other would never happen, but they couldn’t pass up the possibility all these years later. Rick Ross even rented out his palacious estate for production and it’s said that he landed himself a bit part in the movie, as well.

As the March 5 premiere date looms, Eddie Murphy shared that there was another Coming to America sequel pitched by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. Unfortunately, Coogler’s vision didn’t mesh well with what Murphy had in mind and ultimately, he rejected the idea. “[Coogler] had an idea for Michael B. Jordan to play my son and he would be looking for a wife,” Murphy told The New York Times. “I was like, then the movie would be about the son, it’s not our characters, we already did that. It didn’t come together.”

Social media culture has often been criticized for its mass hysteria, Cancel Culture, and mob mentality, but Murphy admits it was seeing Coming to America tributes online that made him give the idea of a sequel a second thought. “The way the story ended was kind of like, ‘And they lived happily ever after,’” Murphy said. “Then all this time passed and the movie became this cult thing.”

“Catchphrases from the movie start working their way into the culture,” the actor continued. “Stores turning themselves into McDowell’s [where Prince Akeem worked.] I see Beyoncé and Jay-Z dressed up like the Zamunda characters for Halloween.” Do you think they should have had a film with Michael B. Jordan? Make sure to stream Coming 2 America on Amazon Prime Video on March 5 and check out the trailer below.

Ari Fletcher Details “World Falling Apart” After Giving Birth: “I Was So Depressed”

G Herbo is preparing for not only the birth of his firstborn with fiancée Taina Williams but the third birthday of his son Yoshon that he shares with his ex-girlfriend Ari Fletcher. The former couple is currently peacefully co-parenting after being at odds in the past, and with her little boy’s big day on the horizon, Ari took to social media to share a few thoughts about what she was going through just months after giving birth.

On Instagram, Ari posted a black and white video that showed her enjoying time with her newborn. In the caption, she revealed the struggles she was enduring at the time. “This video is from June 17th, 2018. I watch this video and it makes me so emotional but so strong,” said the model. “I was living in Chicago in a condo and I was so depressed. In this moment I felt like all I had was my son.”

“My whole world was falling apart, I was at such a low point in my life I thought it was over for me. I couldn’t see past whatever was outside this window,” Fletcher added. “Lol But I used to play this song for my son when he would cry and it made him so calm. I was going through postpartum depression but I knew I could never give up on my baby. Something about this moment helped my mind see something bigger… anytime I feel weak, empty, sad or whatever unpleasant way that I can feel I come back to this video and it reminds me that it’s not over.”

Ari and Moneybagg Yo have been solid for some time, blending their families together as the rapper reportedly has seven children. Check out Ari’s post below.
