Eminem, Dr. Dre, & The D.O.C. Are Up To Something

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Dr. Dre is working on a brand new album, his first since 2015’s Compton.

Not only did Dem Jointz openly speak on the ongoing studio sessions he’s been actively participating in, but Eminem previously teased that he recently traded a song to Dr. Dre to receive “Guns Blazing,” a track originally meant for Dre’s album. Adding further fuel is the arrival of an unreleased snippet featuring KXNG Crooked, during which Dre spits scathing divorce bars aimed at his ex-wife Nicole Young.

Suffice it to say, Dr. Dre’s creativity is surging, and it’s only a matter of time before we begin to see concrete signs of an album beginning to surface. In the meantime, many of the players involved have been content to leave breadcrumbs, including a recent one from legendary lyricist The D.O.C.

Yesterday, the No One Can Do It Better emcee took to Instagram to share a picture of himself, his daughter, Dr. Dre, and Eminem. “What in the Aftermathmatics is going on ova here?” he captions, words cryptic enough to induce a bit of hype. While some might conclude that this is simply a friendly gathering, it’s impossible to deny how rare Eminem and Dre link-ups appear to be. The pair typically connect to work on new music, as they have for the recent Music To Be Murdered By albums.

As such, it stands to reason that Em came through to return the favor, as he’s a near-guaranteed contributor to whatever the Good Doctor has in the pipeline. Check out the picture below — as shared by The D.O.C — and be sure to keep an eye out for more tidbits surrounding Dr. Dre’s fourth studio album.

Ice-T & His Daughter Chanel Nicole Look The Exact Same

A picture of Ice-T’s daughter Chanel Nicole with her mother Coco Austin is going viral on social media with fans remarking how much Chanel looks like her famous father. The five-year-old daughter of Ice-T and Coco looks identical to the rapper, as pointed out by hundreds of fans over the weekend.

Coco posted a gallery of photos from this weekend, carrying her little one in the final picture. People have been leaving astounded comments all morning, stating, “That kid look just like her daddy” and “Ice T dont need no paternity test.”

On Twitter, the comments resulted in Ice-T becoming a trending topic. This isn’t the first time that people are pointing out Chanel Nicole and Ice-T’s facial similarities, and it definitely won’t be the last.

Check out photos of Chanel Nicole and Ice-T below.

Recently, Ice-T clapped back at people who were critical of his acting skills. Rapper Soulja Boy also reflected on his feud with the iconic music star, claiming that Ice-T was “confused” while they were at each other’s necks. Hip-hop’s “original gangsta” turned sixty-three years old earlier this year. Take a look at him with his five-year-old daughter and let us know if you think they look alike.

Megan Thee Stallion Covers The ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue, Making Her The First Rapper To Do So

The cover stars for this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue were unveiled today, and among them is a familiar face to music fans: Megan Thee Stallion, as she, tennis star Naomi Osaka, and actress/model Leyna Bloom all got their own covers.

Sharing the cover on Instagram, Megan wrote, “REAL SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT EDITION COVER MODEL SH*T!!! Thee first female rapper on the cover of @si_swimsuit [crying emojis] I want to thank all the strong women in my life who inspired me to love my body and live my best hot girl life. It means the world to me to be on this cover DREAM COME TRUE!!”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day said of Meg, “Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t stay in one lane. In fact, she encourages everyone to be in multiple, and this is what we love about her. She captured the world’s attention with her music and style, but what caught our attention was her unfiltered approach to the way she makes you think. She uses her platform to push boundaries, dissect societal norms, and encourage humans to think about the backward way our society continues to operate. Megan is a vessel for change, and we are honored to have her on our 2021 cover.”

Megan is the first rapper to cover the swimsuit issue, but not the first musician, as Beyonce graced the cover back in 2007.

50 Cent Gives Update On Lost Album “Street King Immortal”

50 Cent has accomplished a great deal throughout his extensive career, and while he has since transitioned into the world of television, the Power mogul originally got his start as an artist. Having first made an impression through his formative mixtapes in the late nineties, as well as tapes like Power Of The Dollar and Guess Who’s Back, Fif eventually caught the attention of Eminem and Dr. Dre, who signed him to a joint deal with Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment.

From that point, Fif went on to see rap game success that many artists could only dream of. His major-label debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin has been certified diamond, and his sophomore album The Massacre is steadily nearing the milestone. Alas, Fif’s music career has been left somewhat unresolved in the eyes of many. Though 50 originally intended to drop off an album called Street King Immortal — which Jimmy Iovine deemed his best since Get Rich — the album never saw the light of day.

In a new interview with The Independent, largely centered around his new series Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Fif was asked about the status of the long-lost album. “That original version is not [being released], but I’m releasing new music in September,” explains Fif, confirming what many fans have already understood. The publication also confirms that Eminem will not be included, despite having recorded an unreleased duet called “Champions.” “I didn’t finish the tracks with him… I’m not gonna tell who’s on it because I’m the most exciting person [on the album].”

Speaking of Eminem, Fif also had some kind words to share about his longtime friend and collaborator. “He’s still one of the best artists to me,” says Fif, who most recently collaborated with Eminem on Ed Sheeran’s “Remember The Name.” “He means more to the culture than a lot of other artists – a lot of people looked at him and saw themselves, and understood how they fit into hip-hop culture.”
