Anderson .Paak Got A Tattoo Demanding No Posthumous Releases Of His Music When He’s Gone

Posthumous albums have been a major part of the musical landscape in recent years, as projects from Mac Miller, Pop Smoke, Juice WRLD, and other late artists have been successful. It’s not an entirely new phenomenon, though, as artists like Joy Division, Aaliyah, and countless other older acts also had defining releases after their lives ended.

Anderson .Paak isn’t a fan of posthumous releases, though. More specifically (and perhaps more accurately), he’s not a fan of any of his unreleased music coming out once he’s gone. He’s so adamantly against that happening, in fact, that he went ahead and declared that in a new tattoo.

In a recent Instagram Story (as NME notes), .Paak showed off the ink on his arm, which reads, “When I’m gone, please don’t release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached. Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public.”

The good news is there’s more music from .Paak to look forward to while he’s still with us. His and Bruno Mars’ Silk Sonic recently released its second single, “Skate,” and there’s more on the way from the duo.

Lil Wayne Offered To Financially Help Ex-Cop Who Saved His Life

It’s crazy to think there could have never been a Lil Wayne. The New Orleans rapper fought some serious mental issues as a child growing up, even attempting suicide on his own life when he was just 12 years old. Thankfully he didn’t succeed, but he’ll always remember “Uncle Bob,” the cop who arrived on the scene that day and saved his life.

Lil Wayne recently opened about that suicide attempt in a recent interview on the Emmanuel Acho show, reminiscing on how he intentionally shot himself in the chest to end it all. However, it was the cop on the scene that didn’t let Wayne die and for that Weezy has never forgotten that. In fact, Wayne has even offered to help the cop out financially whenever he needs it.

The cop, whose real name is Robert Hoobler, told TMZ that he saw Lil Wayne in 2019 when the rapper was in NOLA for a radio show, and that’s when Wayne offered to provide Bob with financial support if he ever needed it, saying all he has to do is just ask. Uncle Bob politely turned down the offer, but it seems as though Lil Wayne is insistent on repaying Bob for coming to his rescue. According to the report, there has been a discussion about him joining Weezy’s team in an administrative capacity, although who knows if that’ll happen.

Wayne recalled meeting Bob years after the incident. “I met him years later,” he said. “He was like, ‘I don’t want nothing. I just want to say, I’m happy to see that I saved a life that mattered.’”

Young Thug Gets Spoiled By 21 Savage, Gunna, T.I., & Lil Baby On His Birthday

Young Thug celebrated his thirtieth birthday in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday night, partying with some of his most famous friends at an exclusive event. Some of the attendees included 21 Savage, Lil Baby, James Harden, T.I., and much of the Young Stoner Life collective, and everybody made sure to spoil King Slime with some amazing gifts.

Documenting the night on Instagram Stories, Young Thug made sure to highlight some of the gifts that he opened up, including a very generous gift from Gunna, with who he has worked hand-in-hand for several years.

Reacting excitedly after Gunna presented him with an all-new pink Bentley, which fits his current artist aesthetic, Thugger proceeded to show off his latest acquisitions, courtesy of T.I., 21 Savage, Lil Baby, and others.

Back inside, Thug unpacked a bunch of high-end art, which was gifted to him by T.I. Tip explained that an artist as creative as Thug deserves to be surrounded by some of the coolest art in the world, and of course, the colors also matched Slime’s present pink aesthetic.

As for Lil Baby and 21 Savage, of which the latter already went viral by calling Thug the “birthday girl,” they both opted for some new jewelry for the Atlanta rapper, icing him out on the dancefloor with new chains, watches, and more.

Check out all of the gifts that Young Thug received at his party last night. Happy birthday, Slime!
