City Girls have been releasing music together since 2017, but many were first introduced to the rap duo on Drake‘s 2018 hit song “In My Feelings.” They two made an appearance on the track and later shared a remixed version. At the time, City Girls were excited to be on the song, but they revealed that Drake cut their verses short.
JT and Yung Miami recently sat down for a conversation The Carlos Watson Show. JT discussed how being invited to feature on “In My Feelings” is how they knew they were “stars,” even though their full verses didn’t make the final cut:
“When Drake called, it was a big secret we had to hold in for like a month. I remember when he did his feature with Lil Baby and I was like, ‘Damn, we made it. Drake never finna call our ass.’ We didn’t ever know if the song was to make the album or not, we just knew he wanted us to be on the song. We both did verses. They called us back and let us know it was going to be on the album. But, it wasn’t a whole verse. Drake chopped our ass off. He was probably like, ‘Ya’ll hoes not ready for full verses yet but I’m going to give you a shot. We thankful for that and that’s when we realized [we made it].”
For what it’s worth, Drake did eventually allow City Girls to release the “In My Feelings” remix with their full verses intact.

In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Ludacris calls himself the “worst” hoarder but reveals that he has a smart solution to help him cope with it. “My wife will tell you I am the worst when it comes to hoarding,” he says. “My wife’s family, they still live in Africa, so everything I hoard we put on this container that goes across the water and I give it to everybody in Africa who’s going to appreciate it so much more than any family members or anybody I could give to in the United States of America. I am the worst hoarder of all, trust.”
Even if he didn’t send all his stuff abroad to share the wealth, it’s unlikely he’d have trouble finding the space for it. In another recent interview, he admitted that his 22-acre property is so large, he didn’t even realize it had such amenities as a tennis court until he had to quarantine last year during the pandemic. Among the things he’s held onto is a ’90s-era Acura Legend he still drives, despite having over 250,000 miles on it. He told the show’s hosts that “I’ve had that car now two decades. There are things that you have for your whole life and that’s one of those things that’s a staple in my life. I had it before the deal and commercial success, so I’m gonna ride it literally until the wheels fall off.”
That’s a fitting quote for a star of the Fast & Furious series, who’s even held onto childhood habits like devouring Jif peanut butter by the jarful — even during his studio sessions, as he does in a recent ad for the brand featuring Gunna.

Popp Hunna has responded to fans’ concerns after uploading an alarming post referencing self-harm. In a new post on his Instagram story, Monday, Hunna says he’s doing better.
“I miss y’all I’m doing better,” he wrote over a black screen. “Talk to y’all soon I love u ok bye see.”
Hunna’s alarming post, uploaded earlier this month, saw him admitting that he felt he had “no purpose.”
“20 years old wit no purpose in life,” he wrote on August 2. “Allah call me home. I’m ready. I gave it my all.”
He then went on Instagram live where he spoke about his strained relationship with his father: “My dad was like, ‘I wish you weren’t even alive,'” he said in the session. He also put a belt around his neck later on while fans addressed their concerns in the comments.
The next day, his management released their statement explaining the situation.
“In regards to yesterday’s live we are asking for prayers and positivity right now for Pop Hunna,” the statement read. “If you have someone you love and care for who is dealing with suicidal thoughts don’t overlook it get them help immediately!!! MGMT.”

The model/entrepreneur has long been linked to Lil Baby, and while she still has a lot of love for the Atlanta rapper, she’s distancing herself from him after numerous cheating scandals. Her aggressive moves were not loved by all, but the majority of commenters are lusting over her moves.

California’s gubernatorial recall candidate Caitlyn Jenner spoke about being strict on immigration during her trip to the California-Mexico border. Jenner is running as a member of the Republican party against Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, next month.
Jenner also shared pictures with border patrol agents on Twitter, during her trip to the southern border, praising the law enforcement officers.
“On the California / Mexico border meeting with our border patrol agents. As governor I will ensure all of our law enforcement and border patrol needs are met,” she wrote in one tweet. “We need to secure our border and I am so grateful for the men and women that risk their lives here everyday.”
“At border now and people illegally entering!” Jenner added in another post. “As governor I will finish the wall with state funds! @GavinNewsom has failed us allowing illegal immigration to run rampant in our state.”
As for her platform, Jenner has also vowed to “cancel cancel culture” and has taken a right-wing stance on trans athletes competing in the world of sports.
The 2021 California gubernatorial recall election is scheduled to be held on September 14th.

The first two listening events for the long-awaited new studio album from Kanye West, titled DONDA, took place in Atlanta, Georgia at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It was reported that the music legend was living inside of the stadium as he finished up the album but, last week, one of his collaborators KayCyy hinted that they may be moving to a new stadium. He backtracked and said that he was hacked before deleting the tweet, but it looks like he might have actually been telling the truth.
According to new reports, which are unconfirmed for right now, Kanye West will be packing his bags and moving back to his hometown of Chicago, Illinois for the next DONDA listening event, which is being teased at Soldier Field.
The football and soccer stadium is located near the South Side of Chicago, which is where Kanye grew up. Some fans have noted that his concert rollout plan may have been more calculated than we all imagined, beginning in Atlanta, where Donda West gave birth to Kanye, and ending in Chicago, where she raised him.
Andrew Barber, the founder of Fake Shore Drive, teased Kanye’s next event in Chicago with a tweet, and so did an alleged employee at Soldier Field, where the performance is presently being teased as a “Major Concert Event.”
It has not been confirmed that the next DONDA listening session is happening in Chicago, but it would definitely make sense. We’ll keep you posted as more information comes out.
The NY Post obtained some horrifying footage over the weekend of the moment a cold-blooded killer fatally shot a man seven times inside a Bronx deli. The shooting took place last Friday at the B.H. Gourmet Deli on Bainbridge Avenue in Fordham Manor in NYC when a 21-year-old Law & Order extra, named Jayquan Lewis, was gunned down in the middle of the store.
In the video, Lewis is seen waiting to purchase a bottle of water when the gunman emerges from the back of the bodega and opens fire on the victim. Lewis was shot three times in the chest, three times in the arm, and once in the stomach. The shooter was dressed in denim shorts, a white tank top, and wearing a black bag across his body at the time of the attack. (BEWARE: horrifying footage below)
“The assassination reminds me of the scene from ‘Carlito’s Way’ when Al Pacino’s character gets shot by Benny Blanco from the Bronx,” said Michael Alcazar, a retired NYPD detective.
Investigators believe Lewis was targeted as he was the only one in the store who was shot. The shooting was reportedly a result of a social media beef and Lewis’ possible gang ties. “I have no doubt that [the victim] was targeted. The guy standing next to him could’ve easily been killed too, but wasn’t,” said Joseph Giacalone, a former NYPD sergeant.
Lewis’s mother, Marisol Sanchez, denied her son’s alleged gang ties but warned him about the possible danger before he left for the deli. “I warned him because so much stuff has been going on around here,” she said. “I have seen so many shootings and I’ve been seeing a lot of killings. That was one of my biggest fears, something happening to my son.”
Though most cities across the US have lifted their COVID-19 restrictions, the pandemic is very much not over yet. “We Fly High” rapper Jim Jones is living proof, as he told fans he just recovered from contracting COVID. The rapper described how the virus “knocked the socks off” of him, and he’s advising fans to continue taking safety precautions seriously.
The rapper revealed his diagnosis in a video posted to Instagram. While Jones notes that he’s now tested negative, the rapper detailed just how sick he got, saying he doesn’t want anybody else to go through a similar experience so he’s urging fans to “continue to mask up”:
“I was contemplating whether I should do this or keep my business to myself, but I think it’s more important for me to do this. I urge everybody to stay safe out there, COVID is real. I was running around thinking I was Superman and COVID knocked the socks off Superman. I urge and encourage everybody to please continue to mask up, please continue to hand sanitize, social distance as much as you can, try to stay away from a lot of packed and crowded places. This sh*t is no joke, I really felt it. I don’t want nobody to feel like how I felt.”
