FSWg5HbVsAAdGGi

Phoenix Suns Monty Williams has been named 2022 NBA coach of the year. A season after coaching the Suns to the NBA Finals, Williams led Phoenix to the NBA’s best record in 2021-22.

The honor is a first for Williams, who’s in his eighth season as an NBA head coach. He spent five seasons as the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans head coach before joining the Suns in 2019.

Williams won the award over Taylor Jenkins of the Memphis Grizzlies and Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat. Williams is the third Suns’ coach to win the award. Mike D’Antoni was the last Suns coach to win the award in 2005.

Williams coached through some brutal injuries to star players. The Suns went 18-6 without Deandre Ayton, 11-6 without Chris Paul, and 8-6 without Devin Booker.

The suns still manage to have the best record in the league and third rank defense in the league.

Jack Harlow Delivers A Smoky Performance Of ‘First Class’ On ‘The Tonight Show’

Jack Harlow just unveiled Come Home The Kids Miss You, a highly anticipated album with a Drake feature, a video with Anitta, and a song about Dua Lipa. He announced yesterday that he’ll be embarking on a tour to promote the LP. Last night, he took the stage at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to perform one of his hits, “First Class.” Against screens displaying a blue sky, he raps slickly while the floor floods with white fog. His flow is uninterrupted and smooth, and the stage setup really brings the song to life.

When talking to Fallon, the “Nail Tech” rapper was asked about the viral video of him and Emma Chamberlain at the Met Gala in which he casually ends a conversation with “love ya,” which promptly makes Chamberlain almost freak out. About it, he said, “That’s like a piece of art because there’s so many ways to interpret that, you know what I mean? Everyone has a different take on what was going through her head, so I’ll leave it up to interpretation.” They also discussed the NBA video, with Harlow noting that after the clip of the refs aired during the game broadcast, his phone was flooded with messages.

Jack Harlow Breaks Down His NBA Ref And Met Gala Viral Videos On ‘The Tonight Show’

Jack Harlow is fresh off the release of his new album, Come Home The Kids Miss You. During the lead-up to the LP, the rapper fortuitously found himself the subject of multiple viral moments, like not being recognized by NBA referees while sitting courtside and his “I love you” interview with Emma Chamberlain at the Met Gala. Now he has taken the time to break down exactly what was going on in those situations.

Harlow’s explanations came while making his debut late-night talk show appearance on The Tonight Show yesterday, where Jimmy Fallon asked Harlow about the clips. Harlow said of the Met Gala video, “That’s like a piece of art because there’s so many ways to interpret that, you know what I mean? Everyone has a different take on what was going through her head, so I’ll leave it up to interpretation.”

They then got into the NBA video, with Harlow noting that after the clip of the refs aired during the game broadcast, his phone was flooded with messages. He then described getting Scott Foster’s (the ref who initiated the viral moment) attention during the game, saying, “It’s the fourth quarter and he’s over on the sideline. And he comes over and I’m like, ‘Yo!’ And I’m trying to get his attention, just to have a moment. He’s like, ‘My daughter already texted me.’”

Watch the full interview above. Elsewhere on the show, Harlow and Fallon also played virtual reality Pictionary with Black Thought and Rachel Brosnahan, so check that out below. Harlow also performed “First Class” on the show, so find that below, too.

T.F. & 2Eleven Lock In With Conway The Machine On “Blackout”

T.F. and 2Eleven are getting hella active this year. The two rappers are a little over a month removed from the release of their second collaborative project together, Skanless Levelz 2. The follow-up to their 2020 joint effort consisted of eight songs in total with appearances from G Perico and Slumlord Trill. However, the two clearly have more heat in the stash.

On Friday, they came through with a new single titled, “Blackout” ft. Conway The Machine. The two West Coast MCs dive into the gritty Buffalo sound with some help from Olman80zz, who cooks up the eerie production. T.F. and 2Eleven flex their lyrical prowess even harder on this one before Conway closes out the record on the final verse.

Check out T.F. and 2Eleven’s new single below.

Quotable Lyrics
If it’s pressure, we spin and we ain’t gon’ let it drag out
Told that bitch to put up that plate and don’t leave them bags out
Where I’m from, you can’t put up your peace, it’s getting bad out
But I’m a straight goon, doing push-ups and holding us in a dayrun
Your turn to eat comin’, but it ain’t soon

50 Cent Reveals Mo’Nique Is In The Next Season Of “BMF”

50 Cent might be having some difficulties with STARZ but that hasn’t halted production on any of the series he has in the works. While Power Book IV: Force wrapping up its first season, fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of BMF. It became one of the most widely discussed series of 2021, as it recounted the early days of Big Meech and Southwest T’s rise as the Black Mafia Family.

It appears that production for season 2 is well underway and Fif revealed that he brought on a new cast member — Mo’Nique. The rapper shared a clip on Instagram of the comedian revealing that she’ll be taking on the role of Goldie in season 2. “Guess who i got in BMF this season [fire emoji]GOLDIE,” he wrote. “I don’t miss, THE UNDER DOG’S BACK ON TOP,” he wrote in the caption. In a separate post, he shared a photo of Mo’Nique on set of BMF with Lil Meech, Eif Rivera, and Da’Vinchi.

50 Cent kept his word when it came to helping Mo’Nique return to the big screen. The rapper has continuously advocated for her since he went to her stand-up show. He also claimed that he spoke to both Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels, asking them to publicly apologize to Mo’Nique for previous issues that led her to get blackballed.

No word on when BMF season 2 will premiere but we’re excited to see what Fif got up his sleeve.

Draymond Green Pledges Large Donation In Adreian Payne’s Honor

Yesterday, tragic news hit the basketball world as it was revealed that former NBA star and Michigan State standout Adreian Payne had been shot and killed at the age of 31. A man is currently in custody for the shooting, and those who knew Payne the best are in the midst of grieving their loss.

One person who knew Payne well was Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, who played with Payne at Michigan State. After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies last night, Green acknowledged Payne’s passing and how it was making it hard for him to do a press conference.

Green did go on to say that he and his wife are planning on donating $100K to charity in Payne’s name. Green also called out others in the Spartans community, urging them to do something similar.

“I call on my Spartan family, coach (Tom) Izzo, Magic (Johnson), Jaren Jackson, Miles Bridges … all of my Spartan family, to come in,” he said. “Let’s do something in honor of Adreian.”

This donation will go a long way, and we’re sure Payne’s family will be appreciative of the gesture.
