Yung Miami & Her Mom Look Ready For Hot Girl Summer In New Bikini Photos

Yung Miami is reminding us who’s the baddest. Over the weekend, the City Girl and her mom, Keenya Young, dropped off some bikini thirst traps on their Instagram feeds, setting the tone for the summer season that’s quickly approaching.

For her part, Mama Miami wore a white bikini with a plunging neckline paired with a Cuban link chain. The “Twerkulator” rapper bared a bit more skin, pulling a strappy gold bikini over her curves. “The baddest bi**hes on y’all news feed!” Keenya wrote in the caption.

Although Yung Miami didn’t include her mom in her own boat party photo dump, it was just a few days ago that she dropped off snapshots of the duo sitting courtside in all-white at a Miami Heat game. “At that Heat game on wood,” she wrote at the time.

Of course, fans couldn’t help but comment on how similar the mother-daughter duo looks, with some even saying that they could pass for sisters and pointing out that the 28-year-old obviously secured her very valid face card from Young.

On her own series of thirst traps, the “Ex For A Reason” singer wrote, “The difference is……..” in the caption, sharing everything from mirror selfies that tease her behind to subtle flexes while relaxing on a boat.

In other news, after Yung Miami wraps up her Hot Girl Summer, she and JT will be headed out on Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You North American tour from September to October – check out the full list of dates here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

A$AP Rocky Agrees Travis Scott Stole His “Whole Style” From Him On “Drink Champs”

A$AP Rocky says that Travis Scott stole his style during an upcoming interview on the Drink Champs podcast.

“Travis Scott stole his whole style from A$AP Rocky,” N.O.R.E tells the New York rapper.

“Yeah,” Rocky agrees.

It isn’t the first time Rocky has discussed the similarities between himself and Travis Scott. Back in 2016, Rocky said during an interview on Hot 97’s Ebro In the Morning that people need to “let shorty rock.”

“You’re hearing it from me, let shorty rock,” he stated at the time. “And let the people decide if he a biter or if he authentic. I’m not saying everybody should be allowed to just take [from] whoever got going on. I’m not implying that. I feel like that whole situation sound petty.”

Elsewhere in the highly-anticipated interview, Rocky speaks on his relationship with Rihanna, and the fact that he’s soon to be a father, and his recent single, “D.M.B.”

The new track dropped last week with an accompanying music video featuring Rihanna. In the piece, the couple roams through New York City. At one point, Rocky shows off a grill with the words, “Marry Me,” while Rihanna shows off a matching grill with the words, “I Do.” TMZ later confirmed that the two are not officially married, and that it was merely an artistic statement.

Check out the teaser for Rocky’s appearance on Drink Champs below. The new episode will be published on YouTube on Saturday.

Diddy Announces New Album, Launches R&B Label Love Records

Diddy is spreading the love.

The music mogul, also known as Love, has officially announced his return to music with the launch of his R&B record label Love Records in partnership with Motown Records. The new label will be dedicated to R&B music and will release singles and collaborative projects from a collective of world-class artists, producers, and songwriters.

Additionally, Diddy has signed a one-time album deal with Motown. The project, which he will executive produce and A&R, will mark the first release on Love Records and is set to arrive this summer. He recently teased a collaboration with The Weeknd as part of a Beats by Dre commercial starring Kayvon Thibodeaux.

“Music has always been my first love, Love Records is the next chapter is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life,” said Sean “Diddy” Combs, who will continue to oversee his iconic Bad Boy label. “For the Label I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”

Motown Records CEO and Chairwoman Ethiopia Habtemariam added, “This is a major moment for Motown, as Diddy is one of this century’s most important voices in music and culture; To be a part of his next evolution and album is nothing short of monumental.”

It’s been over six years since Diddy released his last project, MMM (Money Making Mitch). Last year, he announced plans for an R&B album called Off the Grid, but it never saw the light of day.

“I’m making a classic,” he said at the time, while also revealing that he recorded an R&B version of his 1997 hit “It’s All About the Benjamins.”

Ahead of his album release, he will serve as host and executive producer of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday.

Ja Rule Wants More Women In The GOAT Conversation: ‘We Never Put Ladies In There’

Apparently, the new version of hip-hop’s beloved “top five rappers” debate is the “rap Mount Rushmore” question. Basically, which four rappers would be on your personal Mount Rushmore? It’s a fun hypothetical because not only does it narrow the field, forcing commenters to be even more intentional with their picks, it also comes with a silly visual. Just image Future replacing Teddy Roosevelt or something. Hilarious!

During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Ja Rule was asked for his take on the rap Mount Rushmore conversation and offered some unconventional picks. He also had some insightful things to say about the debate itself, pointing out how difficult it can be to provide an answer, given how many different eras and styles of rap have come along since 1979.

He demonstrated that difficulty himself; after nailing his first three — Jay-Z, Tupac, and The Notorious B.I.G. — he struggled with the fourth spot, naming a few possibilities. “Either Big Daddy Kane, or Rakim, or [KRS One] because of what they did for the culture and what they meant to the culture,” he posited, before throwing out a curveball. “We never put the ladies in there… MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa.”

“They’re the reason other women picked up a microphone, period,” he explained. “How can you leave them off? You gotta [pick] one of them and put them on there.” He’s right; the current surge of female talent at the forefront of rap in pop culture today is built at least partially on the foundations laid by the original first ladies of rap. They may get overlooked — something that isn’t uncommon even for today’s stars — but their contributions are as critical to rap’s dominance as anyone’s.

Megan The Stallion Recalls Working With Dua Lipa: ‘She Felt Like A Familiar Spirit’

Ahead of her Future Nostalgia tour, Dua Lipa linked up with Megan The Stallion to record their sugary collaboration, “Sweetest Pie.” In a profile on Lipa for Vogue, Megan, who is opening for Lipa on select dates of the Future Nostalgia tour, recalled working with the “Levitating” singer on their collaboration.

During their sessions, Megan said she and Lipa formed a friendship that felt natural.

“When somebody is so gorgeous and established, you don’t know what to expect,” Megan said. “A lot of ladies can be divas. But Dua is just so nice. She felt like a familiar spirit. We have an unspoken bond, it’s not even anything we need to discuss. Sometimes people get the wrong idea about me, too. But once you meet me, you’re like, Oh! This is my homegirl.”

Also in the profile, “Sweetest Pie’s” co-writer Clarence Coffee, who also co-wrote “Levitating,” took time to speak on Lipa’s craft.

“I wish more people could see how she is as an artist in a room,” Coffee said. “She has incredible ideas, she’s a great lyricist, and she’s a beast with melodies.”

Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion are Warner Music Artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Diddy Launches His R&B-Focused Label, Love Records, In Partnership With Motown

Last summer, Diddy announced that he is putting out an R&B album, as well as launching an R&B-focused music label. Today, he officially revealed the label’s name, Love Records. The label was started in partnership with Motown Records, and Diddy’s upcoming album will be its first release. According to a statement from the label in Variety, the focus will initially be to “release singles and collaborative projects from a collective of world-class artists, producers, and songwriters.”

Diddy previously cited his inspiration in launching the new label, saying, “I feel like R&B was abandoned and it’s a part of our African American culture.” Meanwhile, he also intends to try a new business model, rather than locking artists into deals for a cut of the profits. “I’m not signing any artists,” he said. “Because if you know better, you do better. I’m doing 50–50 partnerships with pure transparency.”

The music mogul has had plenty of experience in the arena of R&B. Before launching the label for which he’s best known, Bad Boy, he A&Red projects from the likes of Jodeci and Mary J. Blige at Uptown Records. That experience should serve him well as he and Love Records — which he’s sort of named after himself — prepare for the release of his first album in seven years, Off The Grid Vol. 1.
