Albee Al drops another visual off of the FREE THE REAL project through EMPIRE. In the “She F**k With A Gangsta”video, Albee Al and Rowdy Rebel are turning up with beautiful women. Al and one of the women perform a stick-up inside a diner they eat at. Nimi Hendrixdirected the visual and has worked with Albee Al on his recent “King Koba” video.
“It’s two real ones linking up to make good music,” says Albee Al.
Metro Boomin will take the top spot on the Billboard 200. His Heroes & Villains album will make a No. 1 debut, making it his third album to reach that achievement.
For the first week, Heroes & Villains will corral 185,000 equivalent album units. The album features 21 Savage, Future, Don Toliver, The Weeknd, Gunna, John Legend, Takeoff, Young Thug, Morgan Freeman, Chris Brown, and Young Nudy.
SEA units account for 179,000 of the 185,000 equivalent album units gained by Heroes & Villains (equaling 233.38 million on-demand official streaming of the set’s music), album sales account for 5,000, and TEA units account for 1,000.
Metro Boomin also released the music video for the new track “Superhero (Heroes & Villains),” featuring Future and Chris Brown to mark the release of his new album.
The new video continues a partnership between these two legends that have grown to be among the most illustrious in hip-hop. A horn loop plays over an ominous beat in the song while Future’s instantly recognizable flow sends shockwaves through the music video’s production. These hazy trap sensations are embodied in the accompanying visual. It begins with a stressful diamond theft before branching out into a series of surreal scenes that include anything from spatial wall-breaking to sky-surfing.
Last week, Metro Boomin officially dropped off his sophomore album, Heroes & Villains. The new release follows star-studded short-film hyping fans for the album.
Speaking with Apple Music, Metro Boomin stated Heroes & Villains is the second part of a trilogy that began with Not All Heroes Wear Capes.
This is the second out of a trilogy. It’s going to be a trilogy. (Ebro: Now, is the third piece coming soon, or are you just going to see how this flow?) I’m going to see how this flow, because I really want to shoot a lot of videos to this one, and I’ve put a lot of time into this body of work. So I really want to stretch it, and not just throw out the third one.
Parading the streets of Lagos, Nigeria while offering a glimpse into the country’s liveliness, multi-faceted recording artist Rotimi took over the city in his newest visual “Make You Say.”
Following the success of the single, the EMPIRE partner surprised the masses with his “Make You Say” visual as it perfectly encapsulates the contagious beats and captivating sound that brought the song global recognition. The lyricist’s music is always influenced by his Afro roots so it was only right to capture the video in the exuberant city along with its people. Viewers will feel as if they’re celebrating and dancing along the singer as the new visual embodies the beauty and culture of Nigeria.
Prodigy of influential hip-hop group Mobb Deep’s new posthumous album, The Hegelian Dialectic Volume 2: The Book Of Heroine, has been released. Released by the Estate of Prodigy new release is a follow-up to The Hegelian Dialectic (The Book Of Revelation), which was released in 2017 ahead of his death.
The new album features DJ Premier, Faith Evans, Big Daddy Kane, Remy Ma, DJ Scratch, Berto Rich, Chinky, and Big Noyd.
The album is the second chapter of Prodigy’s The Hegelian Dialectic trilogy. Prodigy’s three-part project, The Hegelian Dialectic, was conceived over the past few during his lifetime.
Prodigy reveals his amazing wit and lyrical ability in The Book Of Heroine. The album describes the emotional problems that males have in connection to drugs, relationships, and other distractions associated with lust.
“Five years ago, our family suffered an immense loss,” the Estate of Prodigy said in a statement. “The music that Prodigy left behind is extremely precious to all of us. We felt the need and responsibility to hold on to it until we had the proper foundation to complete what he was working on and release it to the world. We hope his fans will enjoy and support our efforts as we move forward with this very personal and emotional process.”
Earlier this month, the estate released the very special new single “Walk Out” video. DJ Premier, one of the most lauded beat producers in hip-hop history, produced the song. This track is a valuable treat for true fans of Hip Hop’s Golden Era because the two renowned performers rarely had the opportunity to collaborate throughout their careers.
“I was honored to connect these two iconic legends in Hip Hop – DJ Premier, and Prodigy – this is truly special for the culture and grateful for the collaboration of these giants,” says manager and attorney L. Londell McMillan (who also owns The Source Magazine).
“It’s always an honor to work with the great Prodigy,” says DJ Premier “Since ‘Peer Pressure’ – that I produced – I knew early on that he would be an all-time great. His legacy lives on and happy to be a part of it.”
Due to legal conflicts between the Estate, which the late artist’s family maintains, and his former associates, the famed MC’s work was taken from all streaming sites in 2019, depriving millions of admirers of the infamous MC’s solo efforts. Prodigy is one half of one of the best Hip-Hop groups of all time, Mobb Deep. Alongside Havoc, the two made their debut in 1993 with Juvenile Hell, then returned in 1995, with the bonafide classic album The Infamous. The two stand as one of the most influential groups in rap history. Prodigy’s solo releases carried the same level of quality, throughout the H.N.I.C. saga and more.
Albums like H.N.I.C. and The Bumpy Johnson Album are once again available for streaming on services like Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and others, thanks to the management of L. Londell McMillan of The NorthStar Group and a new distribution deal with ADA, Warner Music Group’s independent services and distribution arm. The albums will also be available for purchase on the websites of all digital retailers.
“We are extremely thankful to all the fans for understanding the circumstances that our family had to professionally control at a time of grief, and for the kind words of encouragement we received from many of you” says a representative of the Estate. “We would also like to thank the community of hip hop artists who came together to help us assemble Prodigy’s last projects. The music belongs to all of you and we are glad we can make it available again and forever.”
Every artist has their own journey, and Malcs’ has been about as singular as you can get. The Maryland native achieved early success while working behind the scenes with artists like 42 Dugg, Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, and others.
Malcs has subtly developed a unique environment that offers a foundation of which others could only dream. He emerges from the shadows with the song and video for “I Have To Keep Fightin’ (I Know),” the first single off his upcoming project, The Rest Is History.
The artist, who has long been known for his work in the business and corporate side of the music industry, is finally making his proper debut. The project is the ideal introduction and is swiftly growing in popularity among label sets and industry insiders, a background he is familiar with.
Malcs is aiming to expand his fan base and fully commit to become the genuine definition of an artist-executive in order to break more into the traditional mainstream. He hopes to achieve the same level of success in his own right by applying the information he has gathered from managing the marketing efforts of some of the most well-known musicians.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, Future gave a historic performance, delivering a surreal, theatrical performance of his hit “Love You Better” from his record-breaking #1 album I NEVER LIKED YOU. Notably, Travis Scott served as creative director of the performance from the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Future just earned accolades from the RIAA in honor of having over 95 million copies certified so far in his career. As he approaches 100 million units granted (including US sales and streaming), this honor stands out since it includes 9 albums and 68 distinct songs. According to the RIAA, this figure is one of the biggest in the 65-year history of the program.
Grammy award-winning artist VORY released the video for the song “Mind Games.” Throughout the entire video, in which he sings about avoiding mind tricks from his sexual partners, VORY keeps up his enigmatic character. The video is directed by Loris Russier and is the second visual to drop from Lost Souls.
An offensive video featuring VORY cheating on his fiancée with her closest friend on her birthday was leaked earlier in September. It is titled “Happy Birthday 2U.” Both songs were among a number of outstanding tracks from VORY’s album, which also featured collaborations with Wallo267, Nav, BLEU, Landstrip Chip, and Kanye West.
Future hit Paris for his “I’M DAT N****” video and showed what a Free Bandz lifestyle is like overseas. Hitting a rooftop, Future blows aa bag at Celine and takes rooftops while rocking a crisp white Prada jacket.
The experience for Future includes a trip on a massive yacht, strolling through the foreign land, dinner with a batch of baddies and more.
Future may be making return trip to France as he wracked up a big bag recently. Influence Media, an entertainment firm with headquarters in New York City, has purchased Future’s publishing library. A source with knowledge of the transaction reportedly told Variety that the deal was worth eight figures. An estimated number by Billboard places the number between $65-$75 million.
Lil Tjay previously teased recreating 50 Cent’s “Many Men,” but now the single has arrived.
The freestyle is titled “FACESHOT,” and Tjay’s head is photoshopped onto 50’s Get Rich or Die Tryin album cover. It is the second release since being shot in New Jersey.
Lil Tjay made his comeback with the release of “Beat the Odds.” The song’s title has special meaning as the 21-year-old platinum rapper’s meteoric climb to stardom abruptly came to an end after he survived a near-death encounter.
After being shot seven times, including once in the lung and multiple times in the neck and chest, Lil Tjay underwent treatment for gunshot wounds. The new single is the product of being inspired while recovering in the hospital.
Tjay portrays tenacity in the riveting music video and uses moving real-life footage of him recuperating in the hospital while family members visited him as his condition improved to inspire viewers.
The Lil Tjay-directed video follows him as he leaves the hospital and makes his way to a lovely church, where he can be seen considering the obstacles he overcame and how grateful he is to be alive. Only eight weeks after the potentially fatal tragedy, Tjay is shown recording in the studio, demonstrating his genuine artistry by pouring back into his music. Watch this.
“I’m thankful for the love and support I’ve received from my fans, family and friends,” says Lil Tjay. “This has been a long road to recovery but I’m happy to have a second chance. Stay tuned…I’m back.”
Rowdy Rebel has dropped the new music video for “Paid Off,” featuring Fivio Foreign.
The video, which was directed by Rowdy’s frequent partner G Train Productions, may be his most action-packed presentation to yet. He, Fivio, and two female accomplices in masks carry off a high-stakes, large-scale bank robbery. As the police realize what is going on, the action continues, leaving them in the dust.
