“It’s a classic,” said Tony Chambers, Disney’s head of distribution. “You ask a lot of women or men of my age and it’s ‘Little Mermaid’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ that rank as their favorite animated movie. Ludacris Shares Why 'Fast and Furious' Movies Keep Coming: 'We're Making Billions'

Fast X is currently furiously running up the millions at the global box office. But some movie watchers are asking why this is still going on. Ludacris gave a simple answer; we are rolling in billions of dollars.

Speaking on All The Smoke, Ludacris revealed why the question of “why another Fast movie” is “the dumbest fucking question in the world.

“No matter what industry we in, podcasts, music, movies, it’s all about a bottom line,” Luda said. “It’s about how much you spend compared to how much you make. We’re making billions of fucking dollars, and I’m just giving you my heart I’m not trying to brag or nothing.”

He added, “if you spend 200 million and you make a billion, who the fuck is you gonna tell to stop shooting movies when you’re making 800 million dollars?

He makes a valid point.

With a woman-led spinoff in the works, Diesel’s co-star Michelle Rodrigez, who plays Letty, isn’t sure about returning for it. “You pass the baton on. You take the back seat,” she said. “You go passenger side. When it comes the next generation, you have to. It’s the only way to let them define the future.”

Fast X raced into box offices this past weekend behind an impressive $67.5 million opening weekend in America, replacing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 3 at the top spot.

The film also marked the return of one of the series’ biggest stars. More on that here.

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors Spotted Together Flying from NYC to LA

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors Spotted Together Flying from NYC to LA

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good have been spotted together for the first time. Following rumors of their new romance and Good’s su[port amid Majors’ legal battle, the two were spotted flying across the country.

The two flew from New York City to Los Angeles and were spotted holding hands and grabbing some food.

Meagan Good is holding down her new man. Last week, rumors ran wild about a romance between Good and Jonathan Majors. PEOPLE obtained an update, stating their spark grew from a friendship, and she is supporting him through his current legal hurdles.

“Meagan and Jonathan have maintained a friendship for some time,” a source told PEOPLE. “Meagan has shown considerable support towards him.” Adding, “It seems their relationship has developed further from that point.”

Amidst his domestic violence turmoil, Majors is engaged in a “fairly new” relationship with Good, with the two being spotted at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles last week. The two or their representatives did not offer a response to the relationship.

Earlier this week, Jonathan Majors appeared virtually at a status conference held at the Manhattan criminal court building, six weeks after he was arrested for domestic violence. During the proceedings, a charge of third-degree assault, a class A misdemeanor, could result in 12 months in jail or three years of probation.

According to Deadline, the Creed III star’s attorneys slammed the court process as the result of “the racial bias that permeates the criminal justice system.”

Majors appeared on screen to Judge Rachel S. Pauley. During the hearing, he could be heard saying “yes ma’am” to the judge. He did not enter a plea to the charge presented in court.

Judge Pauley placed an order of protection against Majors from coming in contact with the allegedly abused woman.

Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry spoke outside the court, firmly believing that the woman at the center of the case is “lying.”

“This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims, a glaring double standard,” Chaudry said to Deadline. “Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman’s clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman’s new lies. To be clear, there are no new charges against Mr. Majors.”

Chaudhry also noted explicit and implicit bias and states the legal team has more video evidence proving innocence, but states the DA is working alongside the woman to alter her story.

Jonathan Majors is set to return to court next month.

Meagan Good is back outside following her marriage of nearly a decade and divorce from DeVon Franklin. Speaking with XONecole, Good highlighted how she is currently handling her divorce, which she calls “the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

“Throughout life, I’ve always approached relationships as understanding that at some point, they’ll get to the place that they’re going to, and then they would be over,” Good said. “I’ve always had an attitude of like, ‘Alright, next chapter. We’ll see what’s next,’ and being okay with that and appreciating what you give to someone and what they give to you and sharing a moment in time and in life that you never get back regardless of how it ends.”

While on a press run for her new show Harlem, Good recently shared that she’s ready to settle down and have children. “I’m in a place where I know that I want to be a mother — married or not. Whatever happens in this next season in the act of life,” she said.

First released back in 1992, White Men Can’t Jump starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson as streetball hustlers, joining forces as a black and white man taking over the basketball courts in hopes of taking home a bag. Written by Ron Shelton, the comedy did outstanding numbers at the box office, standing to this day as one of the top go-to basketball movies within pop culture.

Harlow plays the role of Jeremy, a former star of the game whose injuries stalled his career. His co-star Sinqua Walls plays Kamal, who also had the potential to make it to the big leagues, but his temperament kept him stagnant. Other notable names include Teyana Taylor who plays Sinqua’s wife, Vince Staples, who plays Sinqua’s teammate and friend, and a cameo from Blake Griffin, who also executive produced the film.

At the LA premiere, Lil Nas X briefly walked the red carpet in a Jack Harlow tee-shirt, before running off. This mimics Harlow’s support of Lil Nas X, who previously rocked a shirt with Nas on it for last year’s BET Awards. The support was real, as this served as Jack Harlow’s first big-screen debut as an actor.

‘Fast X’ Projected for $300 Million Global Opening Weekend

'Fast X' Projected for $300 Million Global Opening Weekend

A new edition of Fast & Furious is getting ready to skkkrrrrrrttt into theaters as Fast X will make its debut this weekend. Early projections eye the movie as a big box-office success.

According to Deadline, Fast X is already off to a speedy start, bringing in $235 million overseas and an additional $60 million stateside. The nearly $300 million total would be the third-best global start, following Fate of the Furious at $541.9 million and Furious 7 at $397.6 million.

Earlier this week, Fast X was revealed to have even more star power. According to The Wrap, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will make his return to the series, reversing his previous desire to stay away.

Johnson is set to reprise the role of Luke Hobbs, appearing in a post-credit scene of the forthcoming film.

In November 2021, series star Vin Diesel hit Instagram, begging The Rock to return to the franchise. At the time, The Rock responded: “I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return.”

He added, “Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation.”

Industry insiders believe The Rock rejoining the franchise halts a cold streak that included Red Notice, Skyscraper, and more.

The Fast X cast includes Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jason Momoa, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno. The movie hits theaters this weekend.

Jamie Foxx Reportedly Recovering from 'Medical Complication' in Chicago

Jamie Foxx is receiving treatment at one of the country’s top physical medicine and rehabilitation centers, which is based in Chicago. TMZ has shared images of his daughters Corinne and Anelise and Anelise’s mother, Kristin Grannis, visiting a medical center in The Windy City.

Foxx’s family members are stated to have spent time with him during the weekend. There is still no official details on what “medical complication” Foxx experienced. Sources alert TMZ that he is “recovering well.”

During one visit, Corinne’s boyfriend attended and was captured in photos.

Jamie Foxx is currently away from his role at Beat Shazam but also has a new show on the way. Variety reports Jamie and his daughter Corinne Foxx will expand their relationship with Fox by hosting a new music game show called We Are Family.

The series reveal comes ahead of Fox’s presentation with advertisers and following a positive update about Foxx’s medical condition.

Jamie and Corinne Foxx both serve as the hosts of Beat Shazam, which will have Nick Cannon filling in for the season. The show will make its season premiere on May 23. Jamie Foxx is also an executive producer on Alert: Missing Persons Unit.

The new series, We Are Family, is set for 2024. The show is described as “Showcasing non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member, ‘We Are Family’ will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed. Celebrities appearing on ‘We Are Family’ will range from musicians and professional athletes to actors and beyond.”

“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of ‘Beat Shazam,’” said Jamie and Corinne Foxx. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

Last week, Foxx delivered a health update on her father, debunking reports that the family is “preparing for the worst.”

According to Corinne, Jamie has been out of the hospital for weeks and has recently been playing pickleball.

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” Corrine wrote on her Instagram story. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support. We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

An official cause for Foxx’s hospitalization has not been revealed.
