NeNe Leakes’ Son Bryson Bryant Accepts Plea Deal, Avoids Jail Time for Drug Possession

Bryson Bryant, the oldest son of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes, has avoided jail time following his arrest for drug possession charges last year. Bryant, 34, reached a plea deal with prosecutors in Georgia.

Court documents obtained by In Touch reveal that prosecutors agreed to dismiss the possession of a Schedule II controlled substance charge against Bryant. Instead, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of giving false information to a law enforcement officer. As part of the plea deal, Bryant was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $500.

Bryant’s probation comes with several conditions, which, if violated, could result in jail time. He is required to complete 40 hours of community service within the first six months of his probation. Additionally, Bryant will undergo random drug tests as ordered by his probation officer.

“The Defendant shall provide a release which allows the Community Supervision Office to have access to all medical, clinical, treatment, attendance or work records, and for driving and criminal history,” stated the court order.

Bryant is also mandated to undergo an evaluation and/or treatment for substance abuse. During his probation, he is prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages and using narcotics or dangerous drugs unless they are lawfully prescribed.

Bryant’s legal troubles began with his arrest on July 3, 2023, in Georgia, where he was charged with possession of fentanyl. However, the plea deal has allowed him to avoid incarceration, provided he adheres strictly to the terms of his probation.

Nicki Minaj Receives Public Apology from Ex-Manager Debra Antney After Recent Feud

Nicki Minaj and her former manager Debra Antney have put their recent public feud to rest. Antney, known for managing Minaj during her early career, took to Instagram on Saturday, July 6, to apologize and reconcile. Posting a video from backstage at a Nicki Minaj concert, Antney expressed her regret and affection for the rap superstar.

Antney’s heartfelt message read: “1/4 of the crowd. Hard work pays off. I love you so much. I’m always proud at every show. Amongst other things, I will admit I gotta let you grow, but you will always be my baby. I’m always here—good, bad, and indifference. Sorry [crying emoji] people. @nickiminaj #4life #heavyonit.”

The two appeared to have made peace earlier that day when Antney joined Nicki Minaj’s Instagram Livestream, signaling an end to their brief but intense feud. The drama had unfolded quickly, with Minaj publicly calling out Antney just a week earlier.

The conflict began when Nicki Minaj accused her former manager of trying to mediate her long-standing feud with Lil Kim without her consent. The issue surfaced during Antney’s interview on the Opiniated Truths podcast, where she was asked about the possibility of brokering peace between Nicki and her rivals, Cardi B and Lil Kim.

“I think that we all would love to see that, but people would have to be willing to do that,” Antney responded. “To be perfectly honest with you — she’s gonna kill me for even saying this — but I did reach out to Kim.” Antney then implied that Lil Kim was not receptive to her outreach.

Upon learning about the interview, Nicki Minaj took to social media to criticize Antney for overstepping her boundaries. “Deb, Isn’t it funny how you left out the biggest part of the story?” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I didn’t ask you to do a THING!

“You told me AFTER THE FACT & I SCREAMED ON YOU & told you if you reach out to ppl now that you’re being seen around me, they will THINK it’s coming FROM ME so to NEVER do that again w/o discussing it with me FIRST. I said I’d never want that & that now she’d think that message came from me which is not cool.”

Megan Thee Stallion Shouts Out and Sends Flowers to U.S. Gymnast Jordan Chiles After Making Olympic Team

The 2024 Summer Olympics are around the corner and ICYMI, US gymnast Jordan Chiles secured her spot on the team after an impressive performance at the Olympic trials earlier this week. That in itself is life changing and a moment Chiles will forever appreciate but in a show of support, Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion sent Chiles a special gift. 

After qualifying, Chiles gave a shoutout to Megan. 

“This was for you uncle and Megan, I’m going to the AHH-lympics!” the 23-year-old gymnast told reporters, mimicking Meg’s signature ad-lib when saying “Olympics” by sticking out her tongue and saying “AHH.”

Get this, Megan noticed the shoutout and responded on Twitter, posting “my girllll” along with several heart emojis. 

It gets better, soon after, Chiles shared a photo of a bouquet of flowers she received from Megan, captioning it, “I’m literally crying, thank you friend these flowers are beautiful!”

The note from Megan read, “Congratulations for qualifying for the AHH-lympics! Very excited to watch you shine in Paris and represent for all the Hot Girls! Megan.”

Wow. Women supporting women and not to mention the culture crossover from Hip Hop to the Olympics. This was definitely genuine but even still, smart marketing all around.

Chiles’ admiration for Megan wasn’t unexpected. 

In a previous interview, she mentioned how Megan’s music, along with tracks from Beyoncé and GloRilla, helped boost her confidence and motivation. “The whole time while we were getting ready we were vibing, we were listening to music, you know, Megan, Beyoncé, GloRilla. Every girl artist you can think of was popping up,” she said. “And I was like, ‘You know what? If these girls can slay like this, I can go out there and slay like them.’”

The 2024 Paris Olympics will kick off with the opening ceremony on July 26 and run through August 11.

Even Snoop will be doing some Olympic commentary so there’s plenty to tune in for from the Hip Hop sphere.

Meanwhile, Megan is enjoying a successful run on her Hot Girl Summer Tour, with her next stop in Paris on July 7. Timing is impeccable after her gesture to Chiles … The tour’s Europe leg will conclude on July 17 before heading back to the U.S. for final performances in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Only right, wrapping up in the nation’s capital. Megan out here winning, for sure.

Hip-hop icon Missy Elliott, 52, recently started her highly anticipated tour, Out of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience. This decision came after postponing previous tours, most recently to care for her beloved dog, Hoodie, who passed away in November.

“I stayed home a lot because I didn’t want to go out on the road, and something happened,” Elliott shared exclusively with PEOPLE. “He was 17 and lived a long, happy life.” The senior dog, described by Elliott as “so pretty,” lived a fulfilling life, bringing joy to the artist for many years.

The loss of Hoodie was profound, but it also marked a turning point for Elliott. Encouragement from her close friend Ciara played a crucial role in her decision to hit the road again. “So I said, ‘Okay, now I can leave the house without having to worry about anything,’” Elliott recalled. “So Ciara and my dog played a big influence in me making the decision to go out.”

Elliott will not be touring alone. Her six-year-old dog, Miss Fendi Dior, will accompany her on the road. “She’s got her clothes ready to go out on the road with us. [It’ll] be fun, fun,” said the Grammy-winning artist. Known for her love of dressing up, Miss Fendi Dior is “excited” to wear matching outfits with Elliott during the tour.

“I know people sometimes be like, ‘Why y’all dressing those dogs?’… But she likes clothes. She really [does] like clothes. She [sees] me pulling out the outfit [and] she’s running. She knows what that means,” Elliott explained. This penchant for style has been a hallmark for Elliott’s pets, with Hoodie previously showcased in sleek outfits like a winter fur coat on social media.

Miss Fendi Dior will continue this trend as she joins Elliott on tour, along with the artist’s close friends and longtime collaborators, Ciara and Busta Rhymes.

Elliott is in full rehearsal mode, preparing for the tour’s start. “It’s full days, then I go home, and the work continues. But I feel good. I’m super excited,” she said. The tour promises to be a unique and exhilarating experience, celebrating Elliott’s indomitable spirit and dedication to her fans.

Cardi B Facing Massive $50 Million Copyright Infringement Lawsuit in Texas

Lawsuits in Hip Hop have been a real thing as of late. Now two McAllen musicians are suing Cardi B and several others, claiming that their song was used without permission. 

Here are the details … the lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, names Cardi B, OG Parker, DJ Swanqo, Atlantic Records, Celebrity Booking Agency, and Warner Music Group as defendants. They suing everybody.

Get this the plaintiffs, Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known as Kemika1956, allege that the defendants used their song “Greasy Frybread,” created in 2021 and featured in the FX series “Rez Dogs,” without permission. The lawsuit states, “Defendant Cardi B, along with other Defendants, has used the song in her new album without permission.”

Furthermore, according to the lawsuit, the defendants infringed on the copyright of “Greasy Frybread” by reproducing, distributing, and publicly performing it in Cardi B’s track “Enough (Miami).”

The document goes on to claim that Fraustro and Aguilar suffered “substantial damages,” including financial losses and irreparable harm to their artistic reputation and marketability.

The plaintiffs are asking for $50 million. Settlement coming? Who knows. Your guess is as good as ours.

Azealia Banks Facing Florida Eviction Accuses Landlord of ‘Intimidation’

It’s not a hot girl summer for Azealia Banks who just filed a lawsuit against her landlord. She accused him of wrongfully blaming her for a rodent infestation and allowing unauthorized filming of her lingerie, which was reported, exclusively by In Touch. 

Get this, the plot thickens. In court documents obtained by In Touch, they reveal that Azealia made these allegations after facing an eviction lawsuit. 

On June 4th, her landlord, Isis Claro, sued Azealia, claiming she occupied their property under an oral lease agreement. 

According to The Neighborhood Talk, Isis alleged that Azealia owed $8,000 in back rent and sought her eviction from a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 3,088 square-foot home in Palmetto Bay, Florida. 

Sheesh, eight racks?

But hold on now, Azealia responded with a countersuit against Isis and another individual, firmly denying any wrongdoing. 

She stated, “Defendant has complied with all controlling terms of the Parties’ Lease Agreement, including the timely payment of rent.” Azealia disputed the rent amount and additional charges imposed by the landlord, asserting that she had signed a one-year lease starting in January 2023 with a monthly rent of $7,050 and had paid a $14,600 security deposit. 

Diving in, she claimed the landlord failed to issue a new lease after the initial term ended and subjected her to “egregious conduct and harassment” during her tenancy.

Banks further accused the landlord of neglecting maintenance tasks, refusing rent payments, and invading her privacy. Additionally, she alleged that the landlord allowed unauthorized access by a third party who filmed her personal belongings, including lingerie, constituting harassment, and intimidation at inconvenient times.

When it comes to the condition of the rental, Azealia claimed that the landlord falsely blamed her for a rodent infestation originating from the property’s roof. Despite repairmen’s notifications, the issue remained unresolved. Her lawsuit demands the return of her security deposit and legal fees. 

As of July 2nd, the landlord sought dismissal of Azealia’s claims and requested possession of the property, pending a judge’s ruling. The rent crisis in America is no joke and seems like not even Azealia Banks is immune.

“I turned on the awards show and the things I’ve seen on the screen/ Will make me cause a scene ’cause it’s so obscene/ We call women queens but we celebrate the prostitution of their bodies,” Dee-1 rapped, reflecting a sentiment that Lil Mama echoed in her own criticism.

Lil Mama’s Rant

On July 1, Lil Mama took to social media to join the conversation, unleashing a scathing critique of Nicki Minaj and her influence on female rap. She labeled Minaj a “musical prostitute” and accused her of setting a negative example for younger female rappers.

“What major musical prostitutes do you remember from the last 15 years?” Lil Mama wrote. “Who do you think they watched corporate give a platform and flowers for sitting out. Be forreal.” She suggested that the current wave of female rappers, influenced by Minaj, were not being true to themselves and were instead pandering to corporate interests.

Lil Mama’s comments were part of a larger critique of the industry, where she accused executives, fans, and artists of lacking the courage to do better. “We can do better as a ‘culture’ @bet + @betawards I mean this sincerely,” she wrote. “Deep down, most executives, fans, and artists know we can do better. We just gotta have the courage to do it.”

Rihanna recently shared an Instagram video of herself rapping along to GloRilla’s “TGIF” on Friday (June 28). Ya’ll seen it? We did. Then things took a turn, albeit in good fun. 

Rihanna reached out to the Memphis star via IG DM with a playful question. Hmm, about her next project’s release date.

Rihanna kind of had the hilarious audacity to ask, “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?” 

Fans, being overly sensitive fans, were a bit more concerned with the long gestating drop of Rihanna’s own album, R9, than that of Glo’s debut body of work.

ICYMI, back in June, Rihanna ignited excitement about her ninth studio album by wearing a T-shirt that read, “I’m Retired. This Is As Dressed Up As I Get.” Although it might have just been a vintage fashion statement, it led to speculation among fans. Rihanna later clarified to Extra, “They didn’t read the second line. I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort.”

If you’re curious, the tee, according to Vogue, is from Peacock Papers, a brand known for its eye-catching slogans on apparel.

Get this, the 36-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she’s “starting over” with her music. “I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with,” she explained.

She went on to add, “I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I’m rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I’m prepared to go back in the studio. I’m gonna start. Give me a second!”

Kehlani Tells Story of “Diabolical” Ex Caught Cheating 10 Years Ago

So who cheated on Kehlani and why was the affair “diabolical?” During an interview with Nessa on Hot 97, Kehlani opened up about their new song Better Not from the album Crash and recounted a shocking incident involving an ex. 

Get this, Nessa described the track as “alarming,” referencing the lyrics: 

“I almost died the night when I caught you in somebody’s Benz (Ooh, ooh) / I better not catch you doing that sh”t again / And you’re not wrong, ’cause you’re not mine / I would choose this dance with you in every life / Though we’re just a little more than friends / I better not catch you doing that sh”t again.”

I mean the bars are kind of alarming …

When asked about the craziest thing they’ve ever witnessed, Kehlani shared a startling experience: 

“This is actually psychotic. It’s actually diabolical. I found a stack of Polaroids of all the women that he cheated on me with. He was keeping them in Polaroid form in his travel bag,” they revealed to Nessa.

Here’s where it gets weird. 

Kehlani explained that they discovered the Polaroids while trying to clean up during a trip out of town. 

“I was putting things away,” they said. In fairness, at the time, Kehlani was just 19 or 20 years old and reacted differently than they would today. “I was not the girl I am today that would be like, ‘Yo. Wow.’ I was definitely like, ‘Oh my God. Terrifying.’ And I threw them away. He never mentioned it to me and I never said anything. But there were crazier things that happened in that situation, so it checks out.”
