SadBoi Unveils New Single “Rosa” Featuring DJ Sazi

Toronto rapper and singer SadBoi has dropped her latest single, “Rosa,” featuring DJ Sazi, now available on all digital platforms through LVRN Records. The track showcases SadBoi’s signature blend of baile-funk, drill, reggae, dancehall, R&B, and alternative rap, creating a seductive anthem for self-care enthusiasts. The catchy lyrics, including the repeated phrase “Call me rose, pretty like rose. Kitty like rose,” highlight the song’s sexually liberating theme.

“Rosa” marks another milestone in SadBoi’s burgeoning discography as she gears up for the release of her second EP later this year. Expressing her excitement about the single, SadBoi remarked, “Rosa is a song for the self-care girlies, with production that makes you want to move no matter where you are or what you may be going through. Walker recently gave fans a glimpse into the emotional depth of her new project with a teaser video posted to Instagram. In the video, Walker is seen in her bedroom, dressed in a night robe, listening to a series of voicemails from a mystery man who pleads with her to talk. “I know you’re finally over it, but damn, let’s talk about it, I love you,” he says, suggesting the unraveling of a complicated relationship. The video climaxes with Walker shattering her drink, a symbolic moment of closure and liberation. Her caption reads, “Finally Over It. The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that the 2025 Met Gala will be co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James serving as honorary chair. According to Vogue, the star-studded event will occur on May 5, 2025, with the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, as its centerpiece.

Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the exhibition will showcase garments, paintings, photographs, and more, highlighting the influential style of Black men from the 18th century to the present day.

The Met Gala, chaired by Wintour since 1995, has long been one of fashion’s most anticipated events. The 2025 edition will focus on the enduring legacy of Black fashion and culture. The exhibition will open to the public on May 6 and run through October 26, 2025. Summer Walker Hosts Second Annual ‘Buy Black Women Sh*t’ Initiative to Celebrate Anniversary of ‘Last Day of Summer’

On September 22, Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records) celebrated the upcoming anniversary of her debut mixtape, Last Day of Summer, by giving back to her community with the relaunch of her “Buy Black Women Sh*t” initiative. Held on the final day of summer, the initiative spotlighted Black women-owned businesses in Atlanta that promote self-care. Fans were treated to discounts, products, and more from local entrepreneurs.

Partnering with LVRN Cares, the philanthropic arm of her label, the event showcased businesses like City Dogz, Lot23 Chandler, The Secret Garden, The Lash Vault, and Atlanta Curves. The directory will remain available on Walker’s website until September 22, 2025.

Walker first launched “Buy Black Women Sh*t” on September 22, 2022, a day officially recognized as “Summer Walker Day” in Atlanta.

Last Day of Summer, released in October 2018, propelled Walker into stardom, spawning the multi-platinum single “Girls Need Love” and its popular remix featuring Drake.
