Travis Scott Plans To Go To Harvard When He’s Finished With Music

Travis Scott has been building anticipation for his fourth studio album, Utopia, for quite some time now. In fact, the teasers date back to early 2022. Earlier this month, however, he took a significant step by allowing Houston Astros players to listen to the album. During an interview with Fox, Scott confirmed that the album is now officially on its way. While Scott may currently be focused on his music career, he already has his sights set on the future. In a feature for Pin-Up Magazine, Scott graced the cover. In the interview, he was asked to share something about himself corresponding to each letter of the alphabet. When it came to the letter “A,” he revealed that architecture is his true passion. The rapper expressed his desire to apply to the architecture program at Harvard GSD (Graduate School of Design) once he is done with music. He did mention, however, that he plans to continue making music for a while.

Travis Scott also divulged his interest in cars, mentioning that he has a unique collection. Additionally, he highlighted drawing and visual art as his main inspirations when it comes to creating music. It appears architecture is not his sole passion, as he expressed the same sentiment for graphic design. The rapper also revealed that the person who has had the greatest impact on his taste and artistic direction is Virgil Abloh. Scott considers the late designer a true inspiration.

Scott Explains The Meaning Of “Utopia”

In addition to sharing his love of architecture, Travis Scott also shared his personal thoughts on the title of his new album. The rapper describes the word “utopia” as something that many perceive as unattainable and distant, a perfect state of mind. However, he asserts that he believes that individuals have the power to create their own version of utopia. Scott emphasized that there are people who experience a sense of utopia every day, even if they may not possess great wealth or extravagant homes. It’s about finding contentment and fulfillment wherever they are, and that, according to Scott, is the most one can strive for.

From his remarks, it is evident that Scott has invested considerable contemplation into his upcoming album. However, despite his reflections, the musical direction and sound of the album remain a mystery. The anticipation builds as fans eagerly await the release of the first single, expecting to be impressed by what Scott has crafted. What do you think about the new revelations from Travis Scott’s interview? Sound off in the comments below! Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on Utopia.

Flavor Flav Visits Harvard & Gifts The School His Iconic Clock Chain

For over 30 years, Flavor Flav has remained a beloved beacon of fun within the hip-hop community. Beginning his career with Public Enemy in the late 1980s, fans fell in love with the enthusiastic rapper and hype man. The symbolic clock neck pieces he wears have always been a part of his uniform, even when he crossed over into reality television in the early 2000s. During a recent visit to Harvard University, the adored MC gifted the school with his famous clock chain.

Flav spent much of Tuesday meeting with staff and students at the Ivy League school. Scholars were left with an unforgettable experience as Flav read Emily Dickinson’s 1896 poem “A Clock Stopped.” In “Flavorful” fashion, the 64-year-old hilariously recited the poem, even finding a way to tie it into his iconic timepiece. “I sound like I graduated from Harvard, and I haven’t even went to school here,” he told the room of onlookers.

He then completed the reading of the poem by generously handing off his famous piece of jewelry. Professors Henry Louis Gates and Tommie Shelby were present to receive the gift, which the Hip Hop Archive Research Institute will now house. The school established the classroom exhibit in 2002, serving as a museum of sorts for those studying rap culture. Now, a piece of Public Enemy history will be available for all to view. In addition to his lecture and generous donation, Flav volunteered at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. He shared images from his busy day on Instagram, which showed him in the shelter’s kitchen and meeting people around the bustling campus.

Flav was also joined by DJ Stretch Armstrong, Lupe Fiasco, and the former wife of the late Muhammad Ali, Khaliah Ali. The visit is an excellent action for Flav, who announced in October that he’d celebrated two years of sobriety. At the height of his addiction, he was spending upwards of $2,000 daily on drugs. These days, it appears the “Flavor of Love” star is in great spirits and eager to reach a younger audience. Hopefully, Harvard opening their doors to Flav is a sign of more visits from him.

It’s Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary, which means we are continuously honoring all the greats. Insert Flavor Flav, who we can all agree boasts legendary status in the rap game. Seen as a musical prodigy, the New York native exploded onto the scene in the 80s, most notably as the co-founder of Public Enemy. In 2013, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Today, Flavor Flav blessed the students at Harvard University, giving them games and teaching them about the roots of Hip-Hop culture. TMZ obtained a video of Flavor Flav sitting down in front of a class at the Ivy League school, stating, “I’ma tell ya something man, I sound like I graduated from Harvard and I didn’t even go to school here. Wowwww.”

At this point, a student in the crowd yelled out his ad-libs: “Yeahhhh boye!!”

Flavor Flav expressed how much fun he had on campus, even doing a table read of Emily Dickinson’s 1896 poem titled “A Clock Stopped,” and how it influenced his own lyrics throughout his long-standing career.

Soon after, Flavor Flav blessed the school by donating one of his own personal clocks to the Hip Hop Archive Research Institute. And if you know one thing about Flavor Flav, it’s the fact that he always has a clock around his neck. The video sees two professors, Henry Louis Gates, and Tommie Shelby, receiving the rare prize.

However, the festivities don’t stop there. Flavor Flav is reportedly supposed to return to Harvard tomorrow to lead more activities, including a writer’s workshop, a sit-down interview with PBS, and even volunteering to feed the homeless inside Harvard Square Homeless Shelter alongside a few lucky student groups.

Some notable names that were present include Lupe Fiasco (who previously taught at Harvard), rapper Dee-1, DJ Stretch Armstrong, and Khaliah Ali (daughter of Muhammad Ali and a dear friend of Flav’s).

Kim Kardashian Gives Lecture At Harvard Business School

Kim Kardashian hosted a lecture at Harvard Business School on Friday alongside her SKIMS co-founder, Jens Grede. Kardashian and Grede launched the shapewear and clothing brand back in 2019.

Kardashian reflected on the experience in a post on Instagram, Saturday.

“I spoke At Harvard Business School yesterday for a class called HBS Moving Beyond DTC,” she wrote. “The class’s assignment was to learn about @skims, so my partner Jens and I spoke about our marketing, our challenges and our greatest wins. I’m so proud of Skims and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy!!! Thank you professor Len Schlesinger and @harvardhbs for having us. #BucketListDream.”

One student in attendance named Liz told NBC10 Boston: “I think a lot of people don’t respect her as someone who is co-running a multi-billion dollar company.”

They further added: “Just to learn from someone who has built such a successful business was really exciting and I think having the privacy of no cameras in the room, being able to have that candid conversation was special too.”

While students in attendance enjoyed the lecture, many users online took issue with Kardashian’s presence on campus.

“So Harvard has dropped its standards,” one user wrote in response to Kardashian’s post.

Another added “Are people nuts, her walking into Harvard Business School is embarrassing.”

Plenty of celebrities, including Paris Hilton and Alicia Keys, supported her in the comments section.

On top of her work on SKIMS, Kardashian also launched a Boston-based private equity firm, Skyy Partners, in 2022. Additionally, she’s studying to become a lawyer.
