Netflix’s Christmas Day slate of NFL games comes after the streaming service hosted the live fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul on Friday night. In response to Beyonce’s announcement, one user on Instagram wrote: “Netflix just proved they can’t handle a boxing match. they wanna try this? I mean i’m gonna watch but fix your stuff first!” In addition to Texans-Ravens, Netflix will also air the earlier game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Beyonce Will Perform On Christmas Day

It’s not Beyonce’s first time working with the NFL. She previously performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2016. Snoop Dogg Defends JAY-Z For Picking Kendrick Lamar As The Super Bowl Headliner

Snoop Dogg has come to the defense of JAY-Z and his selection of Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Discussing the upcoming event during a live episode of Drink Champs at ComplexCon 2024, Snoop explained that JAY is giving a platform to hip-hop artists that they never had access to before.

“What we need to think about is that before JAY-Z got control of the Super Bowl wasn’t no n**gas performing. So let’s go back to the essence of the beginning of bridge,” Snoop said. “He’s creating a wave of artists to have an opportunity to perform. If you are a good artist and you are a great artist, your time will come. I was never crying about it or mad about it when Dr. Dre called me and asked me to get his back. I was there for him, but I didn’t feel like I was supposed to be there, I was in demand to be there. This is a big event. People looking at everything when they picked the person to perform, you should just be honored that hip-hop is being able to be seen on that platform for all of us and not hate on the next.”

Snoop’s defense of JAY-Z comes after Lil Wayne and many of his supporters voiced their disappointment that he wasn’t given the opportunity. Wayne has complained about the NFL’s selection of Kendrick Lamar on several occasions in recent months. Performing at his Lil Weezyana Fest, earlier this month, Wayne described headling the event as something that was “ripped away” from him.

Juvenile & Mannie Fresh Are Down To Join Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Performance

Juvenile was previously very angry at the NFL for not picking Lil Wayne as the next Super Bowl halftime performer, a spot that Kendrick Lamar got. But it seems like he’s down to join forces to make things right in his eyes. Moreover, the Cash Money alum and his label mate Mannie Fresh recently stopped by Power 106‘s “Brown Bag Mornings” program, during which they discussed Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans next February. Of course, you probably know all the discourse around the halftime show pick. The hometown “snub,” the Drake beef, Young Money loyalty, etc. However, they think it could be a huge moment.

“Oh, we are there,” Juvenile remarked when asked about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show performance and whether they’d accept Kendrick’s call for them to perform if he makes it. “Kendrick is one of the best performers we’ve ever seen. […] In the hip-hop world, he raises the bar. So it’s something that everybody wants to see. And if he calls, I’m there.”

Juvenile & Mannie Fresh Address Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl

Their Super Bowl LIX conversation begins at around the 16-minute mark.

“The thing is, the Internet makes something that it’s not,” Mannie Fresh added concerning Kendrick Lamar. “[They] feel like we took a side because we said, ‘It would be cool if Wayne was in it.’ Of course we do, that’s our team. But, respectfully, Kendrick is, you know, he’s that dude.” Juvenile added that he never meant to shade K.Dot and never did, remarking on how he doesn’t tear people down to lift others up. However, he did speak on how Lil Wayne really wanted that Super Bowl halftime show and campaigned for it, suggesting that the Compton lyricist should at least reach out to try to make something happen.

Will that really manifest when Young Money and Drake’s entourage probably don’t want anything to do with Kendrick Lamar at this point? Maybe… Maybe not. Despite the mixed reactions to the NFL’s selection, everyone is still very curious as to what will go down in New Orleans on February 9. Many hip-hop fans would love to see Cash Money represented onstage, even if it seems unlikely. Let’s cross our fingers and see what comes next.

While the project saw him venturing away from hip-hop and into ambient jazz, Andre did tell CBS Mornings at the time of its release that part of him still wants to do another Outkast album. When asked whether Big Boi pressures him to do so, he responded: “No, to be honest. No but I think because he knows who I am and knows what gets me going, knows what inspires me, knows when I’m excited about something. So I think in that sense, he’s never pushed that issue. But I’m sure like, I want another OutKast album. Yeah, like in my mind – but see, that’s the thing. That’s the human side. I want an OutKast album a long time ago.”

Pusha T Explains His Stance On Kendrick Lamar Headlining Super Bowl Halftime Show

Everybody has something to say about the Super Bowl halftime show this year, whether it’s about Kendrick Lamar versus Lil Wayne or Drake versus allegedly rejected offers to perform at it. Regardless of your take on the whole thing, there’s only one element that we know for sure at press time, and it’s that K.Dot will take the stage. As such, some people are just focusing on praising this moment and treasuring what it means for the genre. On this note, Pusha T recently elaborated on his initial co-sign of the announcement during a recent Q&A session.

Man, it is amazing,” Pusha T said of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show announcement. “Like, you got to think. I’m sure people have said and have told him his whole career, like, ‘Oh my God, you rap good, you’re great, but you rap too much. You need to make a song like this, you need to do that.’ It’s amazing to watch him be exactly who he is, be the lyric king, and people who never even listen to lyrics are reciting his freestyles, his battles, you know, his songs. It’s great to watch. And it’s great for what it is that we do in lyric-driven hip-hop. It’s great to see.”

Pusha T Praises Kendrick Lamar

Of course, we know that Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar have love and respect for one another not just as past collaborators, but more broadly as hip-hop artists. Kendrick shouted Push out as another Drake rival on his “euphoria” diss, and the latter seems honored to have been a part of that song. “Incredible,” he told Vulture of the six-minute cut. “Incredible display, incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick…” “It was a master class,” his brother and fellow Clipse spitter No Malice added.

However, not all praise for Kendrick Lamar has to come from Drake’s opponents… Well, current opponents, anyway. “Nah I f**k with drake he cool,” Meek Mill responded to a fan’s question about this year’s battle on Twitter. “Him and Kendrick beef has nothing to do with me I fw k dot too I have all their disses on my playlist right now.”

Joe Budden Reacts To Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl Snub Response

Last weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February of next year, sparking a major debate. While many are looking forward to the exciting performance, others think the opportunity should have gone to Lil Wayne. After all, the event is being held in his hometown of New Orleans, and he’s more than cemented his role as one of hip hop’s GOATs.

Amid the outrage, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to respond to the debacle. He admitted that he was incredibly hurt and was in the process of “trying to put [himself] back together.” Of course, this left a lot of fans more outraged than before. Some, on the other hand, found it difficult to feel bad for him.

Joe Budden Thinks “Silence” Would Have Been A Better Option For Lil Wayne

During a recent episode of his podcast, for example, Joe Budden shared why he wasn’t a fan of Weezy’s response. “I like silence from the megastars,” he began. “Once you transcend the genre, which I think Wayne is a part of… It’s silent time.” Budden continued, explaining that the video seemed like an odd choice because it’s not something Lil Wayne would usually do. He also questioned the rapper’s claim that he’s “broken” by the snub, noting some of the other obstacles he’s overcome throughout his career.

“Broken? They shot at his tour bus before. You know how much sh*t Lil Wayne’s been through since ’94? You’re broken by this?” he asked. What do you think of Joe Budden’s take on Lil Wayne’s video about not being picked to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year? Do you agree that Lil Wayne went overboard with his response or not? Should he have been chosen to perform over Kendrick Lamar? I’m sorry,” Usher said. “Let’s just say, it’s been a great experience to say that I could play the Super Bowl. I understand how much pressure comes with it and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. Nicki Minaj Reacts To Lil Wayne’s Vulnerable Super Bowl Snub Response

Last weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans. The news prompted mixed reactions from social media users. While some can’t wait to see Kendrick take the stage in February, others think the opportunity should have gone to Lil Wayne. Weezy took to Instagram yesterday to issue a response to the outrage, revealing that he was incredibly hurt by the decision.

“That hurt,” he said in part. “I thought that there was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city. So it hurt, it hurt a whole lot.” The heartfelt video has since earned sympathy from his supporters and peers, including Nicki Minaj. She was among the first to call out Jay-Z and Roc Nation for the apparent snub. Now, she’s taken to Lil Wayne’s comments section to show her support, and to offer him some words of encouragement.

Nicki Minaj Leaves Lil Wayne Some Words Of Encouragement

“This too, shall pass,” her message begins. “But what you have done for the hip-hop culture will remain. It will stand the TEST of time. Many times our greatest & most dehumanizing test is just a way for God to get the glory. You were simply used in a war of egos. To ppl who are empty inside, all they have is their temporary power.”

While some Instagram users in DJ Akademiks’ comments section can’t blame Nicki for being upset, others think the paragraph was a bit much. After all, there’s no saying whether or not Lil Wayne would have had a guaranteed spot as a headliner if it weren’t for Kendrick. What do you think of Nicki Minaj responding to Lil Wayne’s video about not headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show earlier today? Do they have a right to be this upset, or is this too much? Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Announcement Makes Subtle Reference To “6:16 In LA”

Kendrick Lamar seemingly made reference to his diss track, “6:16 in LA,” in the announcement video that he’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. “You gotta make sure you catch it with the hands open like that. We running real routes. You gonna be messing up,” he says in the video. Cole Cuchna caught the subtle reference in the latest episode of his Dissect podcast, noting that on “6:16 in LA,” Lamar raps, “Your lil’ memes is losin’ steam, they figured you out / The forced opinions is not convincin’, y’all need a new route.”

Fans on social media have been having mixed reactions to the ideas. “Some of these seem like reaches…Either that or Kendrick has done the best research papers as a kid in the history of school lol,” one fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote. Another user theorized: “I thought the whole thing was Kendrick throwing the ball to his kid while sending shots at Drake then also parenting in itself sending a shot at Drake.”

Joe Budden Hints At Knowing “The Hottest Tea” About JAY-Z Choosing Kendrick Lamar Over Lil Wayne

Joe Budden spoke at length during the latest episode of his podcast about the theory that JAY-Z intended to disrespect Drake by helping select Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. In doing so, Budden hinted at knowing “the hottest tea” about something that happened backstage with Lil Wayne.

Budden began by admitting that, if he were JAY-Z, he wouldn’t like Drake’s decision to put out a house album, which he did with Honestly, Nevermind, during the same year that Beyonce did with Renaissance. “You gotta understand, we’re dealing with the ‘power’ part of ‘money, power, respect.’ That’s the part that we have to focus on. People with power are going to exert it, now, when this much is at play,” Budden began. From there, he brought up having some “tea.” “I’m hearing that there was an event where something happened backstage,” he added, before saying it was “too hot” to go into further detail. “But something happened backstage at one of them shows.”

From there, Budden complained about the overall reaction to the NFL selecting Lamar. “I’m upset that we announced a Black hip-hop halftime performer and we just muddy the water with who we think should’ve been, or who y’all think should’ve been the Black performer,” he added, before targeting young hip-hop fans. “Y’all wasn’t even alive for the hundred years of Kid Rock, and Guns & Roses, and Bruce Springsteen.”
