DJ Akademiks Reveals Why NBA YoungBoy Was Arrested By SWAT Team

Earlier this year, NBA YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home for his role in an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. He’s been behind bars ever since, and reportedly, could be looking at a lengthy prison sentence. At the time of his arrest, YB was already on house arrest, awaiting trial for a federal weapons charge.

Last week, the rapper was hit with yet another gun charge after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. “I wish to plead guilty to the offense charged, to consent to the disposition of the case in the District of Utah in which I am present and to wave trial in the [Middle District of Louisiana],” his court filing read. His next court hearing is scheduled for September 4.

During a recent livestream, DJ Akademiks discussed NBA YoungBoy’s ongoing legal issues, going back to his April arrest. According to the personality, a SWAT team was sent to arrest the 24-year-old. He claims this is because authorities thought they could be in for a fight. “Remember I told you, he got a militia up there, right?” Akademiks explained. “When they to go arrest him, they had to go with SWAT. All type of agencies because, again, not that this would happen, but technically, YB had enough firepower on that God damn mountain to do a nice ol’ standoff. Barricade or not, and probably would do decently in a shootout versus just regular police.”

Reportedly, NBA YoungBoy could face up to ten years behind bars, fines, and a period of supervised release for his alleged crimes. What do you think of DJ Akademiks claiming that a SWAT team was sent to arrest NBA YoungBoy this year? What about his explanation for why it played out this way? NBA YoungBoy Will Return Home Next Month, According To His Cat’s Instagram

In April, NBA YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home in connection to an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. The rapper was hit with several charges including identity theft, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and more. At the time, YB was already on house arrest awaiting trial on unrelated gun charges. In May, he was granted a $100K bond in Cache County. He must also be granted a bond in Weber County in order to be released.

Fans are hopeful that he’ll return home sooner rather than later, and evidently, so is his cat. Earlier this weekend, YB’s pet Neon Celine’s Instagram account provided fans with a highly anticipated update. According to Neon, he’ll be back at Grave Digger Mountain in no time.

Neon Claims YB Is Headed Back To Grave Digger Mountain

“This time next month my dad will be home,” the post reads. Once NBA YoungBoy settles his legal battle in Utah, however, he’ll have to return to his hometown of Baton Rouge for his federal gun charge. The court will then decide whether or not his pre-trial release will be revoked. He’s scheduled to appear in court to discuss the matter next month.

At the beginning of May, Utah Assistant State Attorney Clark Harms filed a motion arguing that YB should not be released before his trial. “Even strict federal pre-trial supervision was unable to thwart his criminal activities and associations,” he wrote at the time. “Finally, defendant is charged with a felony and there is substantial evidence to support the charge and clear and convincing evidence that he violated several material conditions of his federal pre-trial release.” What do you think of NBA YoungBoy’s cat Neon announcing that he’ll return home later this summer? NBA YoungBoy Takes Over Utah With “Grave Digger Mountain” Billboards, Fans React

NBA YoungBoy has gotten off to a blazing start in 2024. However, we really did not expect anything less to be quite honest. Every year he somehow is able to just crank out singles and albums like they take no time at all. Sometimes that mentality to create over and over again can lead to fans getting bored or just sick of the material. At the end of the day with him, it really comes down to who you ask. He has a lot of passionate supporters and big-time haters as well. For his last album, Compliments of Grave Digger Mountain, YoungBoy was dividing fans again.

Some were very displeased with the results, while his ruthless fan base was cheering him on. However, this was not the project fans were expecting, as a new album I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders, was seemingly coming first. But that did not happen and it looks as if its coming sometime this month. Part of the reason for that are the new billboards that have popped up all over Utah.

Even with the album already out, this could just be more promotion to check out the record. However, some are wondering if this is for the upcoming LP. DJ Akademiks reposted the collage of photos, which includes billboards of the Grave Digger artwork on signs and public transportation across Utah. Some fans are claiming that he is the “fresh Prince of Utah.” Some also think it a little wild that he is getting all this publicity. “Imagine living in Utah and having to see YB face every day 😭, one person writes.”

What are your thoughts on these Compliments of Grave Digger Mountain billboards from NBA YoungBoy? Do you think he is just promoting this album or getting his fans ready for I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders? Is his newest record still in your rotation? If so, which songs? Charlamagne Tha God Responds To NBA YoungBoy Diss, Says His Brain Hasn’t Fully Developed

Charlamagne Tha God responded to NBA YoungBoy’s diss track aimed at him during Tuesday’s episode of The Breakfast Club. In doing so, Charlamagne says he has no interest in pulling up on the rapper and joked that his brain isn’t fully developed.

“I ain’t going to no place called Grave Digger Mountain,” Charlamagne said. “[What] the hell I’m doing on Grave Digger Mountain if it ain’t Halloween?” He added: “The young brother said he’s not big on fatherhood. We all should be big on fatherhood. But he’s 24 years old, so his prefrontal cortex hasn’t even fully developed yet. He’ll start thinking rationally once he turns 25, maybe.”

NBA YoungBoy invited Charlamagne to travel to Grave Digger Mountain in a diss track aimed at the podcast host titled, “Act a Donkey.” He dropped the song in response to Charlamagne criticizing his recent comments on not being “big” on fatherhood, which he made on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. “He has 11 kids, but he’s not really big on fatherhood,” Charlamagne said. “I didn’t know I had to say this, but my brothers, that is wack. What bothers me about statements like this is that NBA YoungBoy talks that gangsta talk in his records. Not only does he talk that gangsta talk, he talks that big-money talk. In the words of Jay-Z, ‘A man that don’t take care of his family can’t be rich.’”
