Gilbert Arenas Defends Kevin Hart Against Katt Williams

Gilbert Arenas has spoken in defense of Kevin Hart after Katt Williams called Hart an industry plant. Arenas explained that Hart found success forging a career and succeeding in roles that Williams himself admitted to turning down. In Arenas’ eyes, that didn’t make Hart a plant, but instead, someone simply making do with the opportunities he could get. Furthermore, Arenas questioned why Williams was trying to diminish Hart’s career for accepting the roles that Williams, as mentioned, had admitted to not wanting in the first place.

It echoes some of the comments that Michael Blackson made about Williams in his own response to the bombshell interview on Club Shay Shay. In a series of tweets, Blackson argued that while Williams was an all-time great of comedy, his interview was inflammatory by design. He argued that Williams was “trying to seem relevant” and should remember that he is not the “Katt Williams of 2005”.

Kevin Hart Responds To Katt Williams

However, Hart made his own response to Williams following the interview. “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad. In the meantime…. Please enjoy MY MOVIE TRAILER to my next film “LIFT” which will be dropping on @netflix in 8 days!!!!! There is a moment in the trailer where @gugumbatharaw says “They Really Love You” ….I now know she’s talking about “Katt” 😂😂😂 Mark yo calendars world!!!! This one is SPECIAL!!!!” Hart wrote on X.

Hart and Williams have previously clashed, when Hart stood up for Tiffany Haddish after Williams made comments about her in 2018. However, Williams’ interview with Shannon Sharpe did present a broadside of attacks. Williams had thoughts on Cedric The Entertainer and Steve Harvey, as well as major music figures such as Diddy and Kanye. For the most part, Sharpe was happy to sit back and let Williams rant, throwing in the occasional interjection. Ironically, Sharpe would also be the one to host Arenas for his comments about the fallout of the previous interview.

Gilbert Arenas has given high praise to 50 Cent, especially in regard to his Hollywood endeavors. “There’s only a few stand-up n-ggas in [Hollywood] — like 50 Cent. Because 50 Cent was famous first and now he’s in Hollywood. He already has his power so he don’t have to do nothing. And if you really wanna make it in Hollywood now, you would rather try to get in 50 Cent movies. Because he didn’t — nothing happened to him for him to do it to other people. There’s only a few windows you can go down without getting your buns blown out or your throat jabbered with,” Arenas said.

Fif recently expanded his film-making enterprise with a new studio. Earlier in December, the media mogul received permission to take ownership of a large film studio property in Louisiana. Furthermore, Fif got a great deal on the property. He only has to take $2400 a year for the next 30 years. “All Roads lead to Shreveport if you ready to work in film and television. G-unit studios Is officially in Louisiana. BOOM GLG GREENLIGHTGANG,” Fif wrote on Instagram.

Gilbert Arenas Defends Zion Williamson

Arenas’ musing about Fif is much tamer compared to some of the other arguments that the former NBA star has made this year. Back in June, Arenas made some wild claims while defending Zion Williamson amid his drama with Moriah Mills. “Ja Morant in the strip club paying $50,000. Zion has in-house entertainment from his girl. You can’t get no better than that. He at home watching TV and he like, ‘Babe! Babe! Come on,’” Arenas argued. While we do not endorse asking professionals to work for free, it’s a fantastic response. But Gilberts was also far from done.

He continued. “All the NBA players laughing at the man, when you go to the strip club spending hundreds of thousands and he has it all in the crib. ‘Hey, babe, shake it for daddy real quick.’ Why didn’t I think of that? Hey, ladies, if you all stripping, you all see I got ones on deck. Come on to the crib. I don’t have to leave the house.”

For instance, in the clip below, you can see Arenas speaking to his audience. During the storytime clip, the former NBA star claims he saw Halle Berry at an event. Of course, he was mesmerized and starstruck at the time. However, thing eventually soured when five white men below, one of which being Harvey Weinstein, began talking about her. Overall, the men seemed upset that she snubbed them. Moreover, Arenas alleges that the men said they had sexual relations with Berry in exchange for movie roles. These are shocking allegations to make, and you can imagine the uproar that ensued.

Gilbert Arenas Tells His Story

In the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk, many sounded off on Arenas and his handling of this story. “I respect black women so much that even if I would have BELIEVED they were telling the truth I would have taken it to my grave. I would have never said this out loud,” on person wrote. “So you’re trying to do what? Help her? Or embarrass her? If you ever want to know who your biggest hater is, it’s ALWAYS a man,” said another. Most of the comments were in this same vein, and it clear they are not happy with Arenas, whatsoever.

Stephen A. Smith is someone who has spoken on a lot of situations over the years. Additionally, he has made some claims about people that have not always held up to scrutiny. If Smith tells a story about someone, it is very likely that the person in the story will be asked if Smith was being accurate. More often than not, Stephen A.’s stories are disputed. This subsequently leads to a response from the First Take host, who is typically offended by being put into question. It’s a vicious cycle that has recently played out, yet again.

While speaking on Podcast P with Paul George, Stephen A. recalled a time in which he told Rich Paul to “get the f*ck” out of his face. In the story, Smith made it seem like he was actually annoyed with Paul and said it in a particularly rude way. However, on Gil’s Arena, Rich Paul refuted the story. He noted that while Smith did express a similar sentiment, it was simply done in jest. The energy that Smith displayed on Podcast P was far from the truth. Of course, this led to a response on First Take today.

This did transition into a conversation on the GOAT debate as a whole and how Paul believes firmly that LeBron is the best.

Gilbert Arenas says that the current roster for the United States national team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup is a “sorry-ass group.” He discussed his disappointment in the roster while speaking with Trae Young during a recent episode of Gil’s Arenas.

It doesn’t matter how strong you are,” stated Arenas. Arenas even went further to say that most of the big men in the NBA are trash. “He only has two people in the position that he’s going to be guarding, you got [Joel Embiid] and [Nikola Jokic]. That’s six games a year. That’s gonna be real tough for you. Other than that there’s no one in your position. Everyone sucks. Everyone’s trash.”

Certainly, Wembanyama will look to put on some size. However, players like Arenas believe that if he can score, it won’t be a rush to add the extra weight. The Oklahoma City Thunder welcomed Chet Holmgren to their franchise last season. Holmgren has a similar build to Wembanyama.
