50 Cent Offers To Help Terrence Howard With His ‘Empire’ Lawsuit Despite Being Involved In Several Legal Battles Himself

50 Cent knows his way around the courtroom. Over the years, 50 (real name Curtis Jackson) has been named in or initiated a lawsuit (or two). In many of these cases, Jackson either came out victorious or settled in his favor. On Friday, January 5, Jackson revealed that he’s willing to provide what he’s learned in the legal system with his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ co-star Terrence Howard.

Last month, Howard sued the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for breach of fiduciary duty. During his press conference on December 8, 2023, Howard alleged that the CAA told him to take a lower salary for the popular FOX show Empire. In a post shared to Jackson’s official Instagram page, he offered to help Howard with his Empire lawsuit.

“Damn, Terrence Howard, call my phone,”wrote Jackson, reposting a clip from the press conference. “I will get you the money they were supposed to get for you. I’m not playing no games over here.”

Jackson has done his sharing of online trolling surrounding other hot topics, but he seems sincere. However, since he is reportedly in mediation for a Power-related lawsuit, with another eight-figure filing awaiting him, Jackson’s hands are already quite full. Neither Howard nor his legal representative have responded to Jackson’s offer.

Metta Sandiford-Artest Revealed As “The Masked Singer” Contestant

Metta Sandiford-Artest has become the latest contestant to be eliminated from Fox’s The Masked Singer. Sandiford-Artest, previously known as Metta World Peace, had been portraying “The Cuddle Monster” on the show where celebrities don elaborate disguises to conceal their identity. Sandiford-Artest was eliminated after the judges weren’t swayed by his performances of “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. He became the seventh contestant eliminated from the season, following the likes of Anthony Anderson and Billie Jean King.

“It was an amazing experience. I love the character and the chakra, I was asking to make I more zenful. We’re from the hood. But you know, we like a zen too. I was trying to make it fun. I can’t wait for my grandbaby to see this,” Sandiford-Artest told host Nick Cannon following his elimination. Nine contestants remain in the competition, with “Anteater” surviving the sing-off with Sandiford-Artest.

Is Metta Sandiford-Artest Joining It Is What It Is?

However, this may not be the last time we see Sandiford-Artest in a media role. Earlier this month, Cam’ron teased fans of It Is What It Is when he took to social media to hint at adding a new face to the lineup. “You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team. The signing today is gonna be crazy,” Cam’ron told the camera in the brief clip. Along with the clip, Cam’ron also included a photo of him with two NBA legends – Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest.

Jackson, laid off by ESPN earlier this year, is a New York native taken 18th overall in 1987 out of St. John’s. Named Rookie of the Year, Jackson would play nearly two decades in the league. After retiring in 2004, he would later return as a coach, heading the Warriors between 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Sandiford-Artest is a more recent product of St John’s. Taking 16th overall in 1999, Metta also spent nearly 20 years in the league. He picked up a ring along the way, winning the 2010 title alongside Kobe and the Lakers.

Drea De Matteo Explains Motivation Behind Joining OnlyFans

Drea De Matteo has opened up about why she decided to join OnlyFans. De Matteo joined the subscription site in August 2023, nearly a year after originally saying she planned to join. “I didn’t know this was going to have to be a change of life, you know. All of a sudden that during a time I’m supposed to be relaxing a little bit, that I would have to switch careers and figure new things out. That’s because my own industry thinks I’m, you know, a savage. I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I did not follow the rules a couple of years ago. So, I don’t want to be at the mercy of mandates or strike or anything like that ever again,” De Matteo told Fox.

“I figured, ‘OK, so everybody’s in their underwear and being sexy on Instagram and I don’t do that, but I can do that and get paid for it.’ … I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner. My kids have always been my number one focus,” she shared. “Had I known that I could work out of my closet my whole life, I never would have [believed]. I know some people have said some nasty things about me having joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy’s a warrior, not accepting defeat,” she continued.

It’s unknown how much De Matteo is making from her $15-a-month page. However, in the past, she has openly spoken about how little financial security acting has given her. Previously, she told Page Six that she only received $500 per episode during the first season of The Sopranos. This was because she was not billed as main cast.

“I made a couple of thousand and then probably by the end is when I started making series quotas but that money came and went immediately. I didn’t spend enough time on the show to really make money,” De Matteo said in 2022. Furthermore, she has also claimed that the cast does not receive residuals for the show’s run. Despite claiming she has been kicked out of Hollywood for her views on vaccines, De Matteo currently appears in the Prime Video series Paradise City. A second season of the show was greenlit in late 2021 and is reportedly in production.

Shannon Sharpe Shares Behind The Scenes Video Of Last Day At Fox

Shannon Sharpe has officially left UNDISPUTED. After seven years, the NFL Hall of Famer left the talk show he co-hosted with Skip Bayless. Additionally, the relationship between Sharpe and Bayless had reportedly drastically deteriorated, prompting Sharpe to leave Fox for greener pastures. However, what those greener pastures actually are remains to be seen.

Sharpe tried to keep it together on his final show. However, as things began to wind down, Sharpe couldn’t hold back his emotions. “I’m here because of you,” Sharpe said to Bayless, fighting back tears. “You’ve allowed me to share the stage with you. You allowed me to share the platform. The opportunity that you gave me, to become what I became, I’m forever indebted to you. I’ll never forget what you did for me. You helped me grow more than you’ll ever know.” Later, Sharpe raised some eyebrows after retweeting a show of support from an adult content creator.

Sharpe Gives BTS Of Final UNDISPUTED Show

On June 14, Sharpe shared a nearly five-minute video of his final day at Fox. It starts with him pulling up and heading to his dressing room, which has been covered in balloons and pictures. He puts on his iconic yellow chequered suit and heads to make up before heading to the studio. Along the way, Sharpe hugs pretty much everyone he runs into. In the studio, he shares a few jokes with Skip Bayless before addressing the production crew and his daughter. He takes special care to shout out his dedicated assistant for all the work she’s done for him.

After filming, he heads to a small party that’s being thrown for him, complete with his favorite donuts. He toasts the crowd, finishing with “to 7 wonderful years and many more to come”. We see him signing out of the building and heading back to his car. Finally, we see Sharpe driving off into the future. Furthermore, the video was posted alongside a caption. “I can’t thank you all enough. From the people at Fox, to my Family, Friends, and loyal Followers. Join me as I go into my next chapter.”

Tom Brady Slams Fox Rumor as “Fake News”

Tom Brady is set to join the Fox broadcasting booth in 2024. However, reports surfaced on May 5 that Brady was starting to have second thoughts about the 10-year deal he had signed. Initially reported by the New York Post, Brady allegedly voiced concerns about the travel involved with doing the job full-time. Unlike a remote broadcast such as ESPN‘s ManningCast, Brady would be a full-time, on-site color commentator. That would require a minimum of four days of travel a week during the season. Brady’s contract with Fox is reportedly worth $375 million.

However, Tom Brady has never been to take media speculation lying down. He made that clear when putting various reporters on blast during his prolonged retirement saga. True to form, Brady has hit back at the Post‘s claims that he might be about to walk out on his lucrative broadcast deal.

Brady Dismisses Walk-Out Rumors

As part of the media cycle prompted by the New York Post bombshell, Sports Illustrated published an image explaining the situation on Instagram. Brady took to the social media platform, commenting “FakeNews” on Sports Illustrated‘s post. Furthermore, sources told TMZ that Brady was already beginning preparations for this broadcast role, despite being over a year away from taking to the booth. While Brady had the option to start in 2023, he chose to defer a year to focus on “other parts of my life that need some time and energy”.

It’s a blow to the already shaky credibility of the New York Post. The Post has a reputation as a right-wing outlet prone to sensationalism. Another comment seen on the Sports Illustrated Instagram post reads “Lol from one of the most unreliable sources”. Prior to working at the Post, Marchand was a reporter for ESPN. Earlier in the week, another member of the Post‘s sports team abruptly deleted a tweet claiming that Aaron Rodgers and Sauce Gardner had spent seven hours at dinner together. However, it’s clear that the rumors Brady was reconsidering his broadcasting future are unfounded.

Tom Brady May Drop Out Of Fox Broadcasting Deal

Prior to his two retirements, Tom Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to broadcast the NFL on Fox once his playing career was over. After retiring, un-retiring, playing a miserable 2022 season, and re-retiring, the start of the broadcast deal was pushed to 2024. This would allow Brady to enjoy a full season without football before taking on the heavy commitment of at least a decade of broadcasting.

Broadcasting has long been an avenue that professional athletes pursue after their playing career. Additionally, broadcasters have found great success with the likes of the Manning Brothers’ Monday Night Football show. “The Manningcast” has been a smash hit for ESPN. However, in yet more bad news for Fox as an entity, Brady might not be 100% on his deal.

Brady Beginning To Hedge On Fox Deal

According to the New York Post‘s Andrew Marchand, Brady might not go through with the broadcasting deal at all. Having spoken to sources close to Brady, Marchand claims that the legendary QB is having second thoughts about the ten-year commitment to Fox. One of the biggest issues for Brady is reportedly the travel commitment for the job. As Brady wouldn’t want to do it for “anything less than 100%”, that would mean four days of travel a week. That is opposed to only traveling for game days on a less stringent schedule. This differs greatly to the ManningCast, which is done remotely by Peyton and Eli.

This commitment comes at a time when Brady is building a post-divorce life. He very publicly separated from his wife Gisele Bündchen during the season. Brady now shares custody of the children he had with Bündchen. Given that it was Brady’s decision to return to football in 2022 that reportedly ended his marriage, he may not be keen to jeopardize his family’s future further with more commitment to football. Fox‘s football broadcasting is currently led by former NFL tight end Greg Olsen. He has helmed the network’s broadcast since 2021. Prior to that, Olesen did bye-week work for them in the final years of his career. Brady has not officially pulled out of his contract. However, if Marchand’s reporting is true, that could be something we see announced in the coming weeks and months.

50 Cent Outlines New Broadcast Deal With Fox

50 Cent’s making major plays in television. Though he’s hinted at a return to music since the beginning of the year, he recently announced a deal with Fox that would presumably eat up much of his time. Perhaps, he’ll still be working on new music during this time. However, over the years, he’s transformed into one of the biggest moguls in television. Between Power and BMF alone, Fif’s resume is quite extensive. The deal with Fox will open the gates for even more content from G-Unit Film and Television.

The move to Fox comes after his departure from Starz, the home to his most successful shows to date. The non-exclusive agreement will find Fif delivering scripted dramas, live action comedies, and animated series to Fox. “He is the rare multi-hyphenate with a deft hand at storytelling, no matter the format or medium, and we’re looking forward to developing new and exciting series for Fox with him and his team,”  Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn said. Fif will undoubtedly come through with some excellent programming for Fox moving forward.

50 Cent Shares Details Surrounding Fox Deal

During his recent interview with Ari Melber on The Beat, Fif explained that his upcoming deal with Fox benefits him far more than his efforts with Starz. The non-exclusive aspect of the contract allows Fif to work with anyone. “This deal allows me to work with everyone,” he said, in contrast to his deal with Starz. Though he currently has 24 shows across 10 different networks, he explained that Fox will be his primary focus moving forward. “I’ll show them things first,” he added.

We’re excited to see what Fif has in store in the coming future. Currently, he’s plotting on the upcoming season of Power Book II: Ghost, which is set to debut next month. However, the success of BMF has inspired him to approach the series similarly to Power. He recently revealed that he’ll be delivering three different spin-offs in the BMF universe, though he hasn’t confirmed when we’ll see those debut. Check out the clip above and let us know your thoughts on 50 Cent’s deal.

50 Cent Signed A New TV Deal With Fox And He’s Pumped About It: ‘I Don’t Miss’

50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) has made an immensely successful crossover to television in recent years, as he made both the Power franchise and Black Mafia Family shows at Starz before leaving his deal last September. While he’s produced projects here and there since 2003, according to his IMDb, his Starz creations have had a massive impact — even if his relationship with the network grew rocky.

“09-17-22 official day of really owning my content and deciding where and how I do it moving forward,” he shared on Instagram at the time.

Now, Jackson has his sights on another network in a newly-announced non-exclusive deal with Fox. Jackson and his G-Unit Film & Television production company will develop “scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series,” according to Variety.

“I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and Fox that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on Fox, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted, and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions,” Jackson shared in a statement.

Sharing the news on Instagram, 50 also wrote, “How’s your day going, mine is going good. Happy Valentine’s Day GLG GreenLightGang i don’t miss.”

“Whether it’s music, film, or television, Curtis always delivers premium entertainment that captivates millions of fans across the globe,” Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn added. “He is the rare multi-hyphenate with a deft hand at storytelling, no matter the format or medium, and we’re looking forward to developing new and exciting series for Fox with him and his team.”

In addition to Jackson’s credits, G-Unit (not to be confused with his former hip-hop collective) is still in development on Fightland and Queen Nzinga at Starz. The company also produced ABC’s For Life and WeTV’s Hip Hop Homicides.

50 Cent Signs Non-Exclusive Deal w/ Fox

50 cent plans

At this point, what can 50 Cent not do?

Real name Curis Jackson has officially signed a non-exclusive multi-project broadcast deal with Fox, which serves as the new television partner for his G-Unit Film & Television company.

The partnership includes developing scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series that would air on the network. Any content under this deal will be owned by Fox Entertainment, and produced entirely in-house between Fox and 50’s production company.

In a statement, 50 Cent states, “I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and Fox that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on Fox, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted, and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions.

This new deal arrives just months after Jackson split from his previous deal with Starz, which he had even described the situation as “dumb shit” prior to the exit. However, 50 remains the executive producer for his television shows Power, and more recently, BMF and British boxing drama Fightland

And with this new deal being non-exclusive, 50 is able to shop his production services to other places.

Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming, Fox Entertainment had some nice words for 50. “Whether it’s music, film or television, Curtis always delivers premium entertainment that captivates millions of fans across the globe. He is the rare multi-hyphenate with a deft hand at storytelling, no matter the format or medium, and we’re looking forward to developing new and exciting series for Fox with him and his team.”

50 Cent isn’t the only multihyphenate with deals at the network, joining an all-star roster including Rodney Rothman and Adam Rosenberg, Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz, and writer/producer/director McG.

Beyond film, 50 is also diving into the podcast space. With his new G-Unit audio banner, he debuted “Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord,” in partnership with iHeart Media and Lionsgate Sound.

“I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and Fox that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on Fox, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions,” said 50.
