Mark Andrews Says Lamar Jackson Is A “Raven For Life”

Mark Andrews says that Lamar Jackson is a “Raven for life,” among an ongoing contract dispute between the star quarterback and the organization that drafted him in 2018. The star tight end addressed the team’s quarterback situation during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio. Recent reports have suggested that the Ravens intend on placing the franchise tag on Jackson.

“Obviously I hope that we get my guy Lamar Jackson back,” Andrews said. “You know ‘cuz he’s a Raven for life.” He further continued: “If there’s one thing I know, I know that he wants to be a Raven. And I know the Ravens organization want him. And so he’s our quarterback. I’m hopeful they’re going to be able to get that deal done and he’s going to be my quarterback.”

Andrews wasn’t the only one of Jackson’s teammates to address his contract situation. Linebacker Roquan Smith also spoke about Jackson’s future during an interview at the Pro Bowl. Smith joined the team prior to the trade deadline in 2022.

“I haven’t really chatted with him about anything,” Smith said, via NFL.com. “Cause all our situations are unique in their own way. It would be wrong of me to try to go in and say this or that, because his situation is clearly different than mine, so I can’t really go in there and say you should do this or that. He’s a grown man at the end of the day, and he’s gonna do what he feels is best for him and I support him just from one man to another.”

As for Jackson himself, he has not publicly expressed any desire to leave Baltimore. If the Ravens do franchise tag on him for 2023, it will cost them about $45 million. It would also give them until July to reach an agreement on a longer-term deal. Jackson reportedly previously turned down a five-year contract extension worth $250 million, with $133 million guaranteed at signing.

Furthermore, the Eagles recently clinched their Super Bowl spot in a blowout win against the San Francisco 49ers. Overall, each player chose their fighter when it came to Rihanna’s catalog. Some of the picks include “What’s My Name,” “Umbrella,” “Rude Boy,” “Work,” and “FourFiveSeconds.” However, out of all the tracks, “Umbrella” is the most popular pick amongst the Eagles. Valid pick, though plenty of players also shouted out “What’s My Name.” Also, they sang some of the iconic melodies, shouting “Oh, na na, what’s my name?” and “You can stand under my umbrella (ella, ella, eh eh).”

Still, some players thought they all needed some vocal work. “That’s probably the only song they know and they sounded terrible,” an Eagle remarked. Many people are calling this a “Ri-naissance,” not to be confused with the other in-demand tour by Beyoncé. “She has her North American dates ready to announce for 2023 after the Super Bowl,” a source told The Sun.

Joe Mixon Avoids Aggravated Menacing Charge: Details

Earlier today, we reported on how Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had been accused of aggravated menacing. According to reports, the running back allegedly pointed a gun at a woman on January 21st. Additionally, it was reported that he said “You should be popped in the face, I should shoot you, the police [can’t] get me.” Overall, it was quite a shocking story, especially when you consider how the alleged incident took place before the Division Round.

Subsequently, numerous people came out in defense of Mixon. For instance, his agent Peter Schaffer had quite a bit to say on the matter. “It was a rush to judgement,” Schaffer said. “I really feel that police have an obligation before they file charges — because of a damage that can be done to the person’s reputation — to do their work. They should be held to a higher standard. Because I don’t play with people’s lives.” Moreover, Mixon’s mom also gave some commentary on this matter. She eventually claimed that this was simply some sort of money grab.

Since this morning, Mixon has received some good news in regard to his case. According to ABC WCPO 9, Hamilton County Judge Curt Kissinger has signed a motion to dismiss the charges. Interestingly enough, it was the prosecution who opted to dismiss the charges first. Overall, they are not content with some of their evidence and are waiting to gather more information. However, they did note that should new evidence come through, they will file charges again. As it turns out, the alleged victim is still very much interested in pursuing the case.

For now, it remains to be seen if and when those charges will be refiled. No matter what, it comes as a breath of fresh air for Mixon, who was trending for all of the wrong reasons this morning. Throughout his time in Cincinnati, he has been an incredible player. He is one of those guys that the Bengals need to retain, and there is no telling what could come of this case. Aaron Rodgers Reveals Whether Or Not 49ers Are In His Plans

Aaron Rodgers is someone that always sparks rumors around the NFL. Over the past three seasons, it has always felt like his status with the Green Bay Packers was up in the air. However, on every single occasion, Rodgers has remained with the franchise. Needless to say, he has developed into the boy who cried wolf. That said, the rumors have started all over again, and now, it seems like the Packers are the ones ready to move on. Overall, they did not make the playoffs this year, and they seemingly want to test out Jordan Love for a year.

With all of this being said, it has been rumored that Rodgers could be on his way to the New York Jets. Additionally, there are reports suggesting that the Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers, and Las Vegas Raiders are all viable options for him. At the end of the day, he is a legendary quarterback, and all of these teams would be upgrading if they somehow got Rodgers. However, at least one of these teams appears to be out on the Rodgers sweepstakes.

While participating in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, Rodgers was asked a very pertinent question while teeing off. This led to a pretty funny soundbite from Rodgers, who simply said “not going to San Fran.” Simply put, the 49ers are not getting him. Of course, this would be the ultimate full circle moment as Rodgers fully expected the Niners to draft him. Instead, they took Alex Smith. Regardless, this is unfortunate for the 49ers. Brock Purdy is going to be out for an entire season. Additionally, Jimmy Garoppolo won’t be returning to the team. Lastly, Trey Lance is still unknown, which means Rodgers would have been perfect as a transition quarterback. Although, this scenario simply isn’t in the cards.

The NFL offseason is definitely going to be a lot of fun. There is expected to be a ton of quarterback movement, and Rodgers will likely be part of that. Joe Mixon Allegedly Pointed Gun At Woman

Joe Mixon had another fantastic season with the Cincinnati Bengals. Overall, he was one of the best running backs in the entire NFL. Additionally, he helped bring the team to yet another AFC Championship game. Unfortunately for the Bengals, they were ousted by the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs. Either way, Mixon is 26 years old, and the Bengals see him as one of the key pieces of this offense.

As it turns out, however, Mixon has been hit with some very serious allegations. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Bengals superstar allegedly pointed a gun at a woman back on January 21st. This was just one day before the Bengals defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. Additionally, it is being claimed that Mixon said “You should be popped in the face, I should shoot you, the police [can’t] get me.”

Dan Orlovsky has quickly become one of the best analysts on ESPN when it comes to football. Although Orlovsky didn’t have a great career in the NFL, there is no doubt that he understands the game. Through shows like NFL Live, Orlovsky has been able to teach the average fan about quarterbacking. He knows all of the Xs and Os, and always brings a unique perspective. Overall, he is a huge addition to shows like First Take, even if Stephen A. Smith is constantly disagreeing with him.

Unfortunately, just like everyone else, Orlovsky is susceptible to some pretty bad takes. Whenever you get in the habit of being on these shows that are made specifically for arguments, you are bound to say something ridiculous. Consequently, it is something that has happened to pretty well everyone. However, when it does happen, you can expect it to go viral in the worst way possible. Today, that is exactly what happened to the former Detroit Lion.

Dan Orlovsky Vs. Keyshawn Johnson

In the video above, Orlovsky was asked to give his top five quarterbacks of all time. Shockingly, his picks were almost nonsensical. Overall, he had Tom Brady in first, which is fine. However, he had Dan Marino fifth, Peyton Manning fourth, John Elway third, and Patrick Mahomes second. Yes, that’s right, Joe Montana wasn’t even on the list. Moreover, he put Mahomes in at second even though he has only been in the NFL for six seasons. Subsequently, Damien Woody and Keyshawn Johnson were absolutely shocked. This eventually led to a conversation in which Orlovsky had a very hard time explaining himself. Furthermore, it felt like Orlovsky couldn’t get out of the corner he put himself in, leading to a hilarious exchange from the First Take panelists.

Orlovsky’s list is now being scrutinized on Twitter. Fans are pretty shocked that someone who knows so much about football would make a list like this. Tom Brady officially retired from football on Wednesday morning. This was a massive announcement that completely shook the football world to its core. Of course, this is one of those things that was expected. Overall, Brady had played 23 seasons in the NFL and was 45 years old. Moreover, his play declined this past year, which meant that retirement was probably the best thing to do for his legacy. Either way, Brady will now get to go down as the greatest football player ever.

While Brady retired as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there is no doubt that he will mainly be remembered for his time with the New England Patriots. The man helped them win a grand total of six Super Bowls in 20 seasons. Overall, this was an insane output that will forever be remembered by fans. Additionally, it will be remembered by none other than Robert Kraft, who was Brady’s biggest fan. The Patriots owner is forever grateful for Brady, and he wants to show that appreciation.

Tom Brady Patriots Reunion?

According to CNN, Kraft has revealed that he will offer Brady a one-day contract so that he can retire as a Patriot. When Brady initially left the Patriots, it didn’t seem to be on the best of terms. However, Kraft seems very eager to get Brady back with the team, if only for one day. “Not only do I want it, our fans are clamoring for it,” Kraft said. “To us, he is always has been and always will be a Patriot. We will do everything in our power to bring him back, have him sign off as a Patriot, and find ways to honor him for many years to come.”

Overall, it will be up to Brady as to whether or not this actually happens. At this point, it seems like more of a shot in the dark than anything else. Regardless, there is no doubt that Patriots fans would love this. Hopefully, Brady at least considers it. It would be a great way for him to go out.

Following his departure from Jackson State, Sanders signed on with Colorado. Moving forward, he is expected to bring this team back to its glory years. Although this is going to be very difficult, Sanders seems up to the task. In fact, with Coach Prime going to Colorado, numerous recruits are following suit. Consequently, this team could be in for an amazing season.

As it pertains to Wayne, he got to visit Sanders at the University of Colorado facility. College football programs oftentimes have facilities that are more impressive than some NFL squads. In the video above, you can see just how impressed Wayne was with what he was seeing. “Oh, this the locker room? This the fucking locker room? C’mon man!” Wayne exclaimed. “It’ll be hard for a n-gga to feel bad after a loss up in here. I’m telling you that right now.” As you can also tell, Sanders was very happy with Wayne’s reaction. Sanders is doing his best to build something great at Colorado, and there is no doubt that the players will enjoy where they’re spending most of their time.

Overall, building a football program is not easy. However, Sanders did a great job doing so over at Jackson State. Now, he just has to go out and do it all over again at a school that has a few more resources. If he keeps going down this path, Colorado should be on pace for a phenomenal campaign.

Everyone already knows by now that Tom Brady just retired from the game of football. On Wednesday morning, Brady took to his social media platforms with a message for his fans. Overall, it was a bittersweet one as Brady explained why it was time to hang up the cleats. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady said. “I won’t be longwinded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”

Subsequently, fans have begun questioning what Brady will do next. After all, he has played in the NFL for 23 years. That is a very long time and he is probably used to everything that comes with being in the league. Unfortunately for Brady, he will have to unlearn some of his habits from the past. Although, it is important to note that Brady has a massive $37.5 million per year deal with Fox Sports waiting for him. One would assume it is a matter of time before he jumps in.

Tom Brady Moves On…

According to TMZ, Brady already has some immediate plans in place. For starters, he simply wants to take a few months off. After his divorce from Gisele, Brady is looking to be a father to his children. Football is a huge commitment, and consequently, he hadn’t seen his kids as often as he would have hoped. Additionally, it seems like his Fox deal will have to wait. Once again, Brady is just living life right now and enjoying his post-NFL world.

Since it was announced that Rihanna would be this year’s halftime performer, there has been speculation regarding what the show will look like.

It was also rumored that Rihanna was filming her halftime experience for a forthcoming documentary. This would be much like Jennifer Lopez did for her Super Bowl performance or how Beyoncé chronicled her Coachella concert. The upcoming halftime display marks Rihanna’s epic return to the stage after taking time to focus on her other business ventures and motherhood.
