New ‘Tupac: Cover-Up’ Documentary Claims It Shoots Holes In Theory Tying Diddy To Tupac Murder

A new documentary, Tupac: Cover-Up, currently streaming on the XUMO PLAY service (with plans to be on all streamers by February 2025), punches a rather sizable hole in the current rash of news stories trying to implicate Sean “Diddy” Combs in the 1996 Murder of Rap Star Tupac Shakur.

The documentary “Tupac: Cover Up” dismantles the current charges against Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac, using Attorneys, Former Judges, former FBI Investigators, and industry insiders. This group of experts asserts that there is much more to the effort to convict Davis than meets the eye and what is at stake if a false narrative is sold.

“The consensus of our experts indicates that there was a narrative constructed by a group of self-interested individuals beginning five (5) minutes after the Shakur shooting and that Mr. Davis may have been coerced into creating the story he has often repeated in interviews and books,” says Director/Producer Richard “RJ” Bond, who also directed the “Tupac Assassination” series and authored the book “Tupac:187”.

The Davis Narrative, as inconsistent and contradictory as it has been, seems to indicate that Davis participated in the killing motivated at least in part by some scheme involving a longstanding ‘bounty’ put out by Diddy. Not only has Davis recently disowned his previous statements, but there is now a real disconnect between the alleged ‘Diddy’ bounty and the ‘Revenge Narrative’ put out for almost 30 years to the Nevada Grand Jury- alleging Orlando Anderson and Davis participated in a shooting compelled as revenge for an altercation earlier that evening.”

“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.” Bond concludes. “And it’s critical that Clark County prosecutors taint the prospective jury pool with a phantom association between Diddy and Tupac so that when the jury pool hears the prosecution repeat Davis’s “Diddy fairy tale,” they will have already thought, ‘Oh yeah, that was in the news not long ago.’ But if Davis is lying and he’s the only eyewitness to the shooting besides Suge Knight still alive, then there’s nothing to tie Davis to Diddy.

“But now it’s getting out of hand, and it’s ended up in my backyard, so I need to speak to it.”

Tupac Cover Up is streaming on XUMO PLAY.

Benzino Reveals He’s “Almost Finished” With A 1995 Source Awards Documentary

Benzino says he’s working on a documentary film about the iconic 1995 Source Awards that he intends to release in 2025. He revealed his plans for the project during an interview with TMZ, earlier this week. The night was famous for several dramatic moments, including Andre 3000’s “the South got something to say,” declaration, Snoop Dogg’s confrontation with the New York City crowd, and more.

“I’m almost finished with my documentary that I’ve been working on for the last year,” Benzino told the outlet. “It’s going to really show people how that night changed Hip Hop forever. I got to interview a lot of people who were there that night but I can’t speak too much on it ’cause it’s not completed yet.”

He also brought up Suge Knight allegedly mocking Diddy and Bad Boy Records while accepting the award for Motion Picture Soundtrack of the Year. “When Suge said that, I was standing right there on the side of the stage. I was nervous because he flew out about 100 people that night, he spent about $50,000 for his set. We just gotta thank the Hip Hop gods that no violence took place that night. Because that wasn’t the only beef; there were other situations that night. Unfortunately, we lost the two giants and that changed Hip Hop forever. It still hasn’t recovered,” he said.

Benzino Discusses The Source Awards

Check out Benzino’s full interview with TMZ below. He also discussed his recent appearance on TV One’s Celebrity Crime Files, his relationship with 2Pac, and more. Despite Andre 3000’s speech going down in history, the legendary rapper revealed earlier this year that he doesn’t actually remember it. Appearing on The Shop, he explained that he only remembers the disrespect the South was getting at the time: “I remember being really angry and driven because we’ve been creating this music, man. We’ve been in the Dungeon. And we just felt like, ‘Y’all don’t get it.’” Be on the lookout for further updates on Benzino on HotNewHIpHop.

Premiering on Oct. 23, The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox celebrates the 20th anniversary of the team’s groundbreaking postseason run, when the Red Sox came back from 3–0 in the playoffs against the Yankees before sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series.

Boston Red Sox fans will have a chance to go back two decades and hear first hand from some of the playmakers who turned Game 4 into Game 7 and “reversed the curse”. The doc dives into the everlasting rivalry between the 27-time World Series Yankees and one of the oldest teams in Major League Baseball, Beantown’s BoSox. Directed by Colin Barnicle and executive produced by MLB, commentary from then Yankees skipper Joe Torre shows the other side of the coin with a team of superstars such as Alex Rodriguez, Dwight Gooden, Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui ,Gary Sheffield and so many others, this story of the comeback shows how important baseball was and still is to both cities.

All American’s Daniel Ezra Scores Starring Role Alongside Glenn Powell in Remake of Classic Action Film ‘The Running Man’ Based on Stephen King’s Famed Novel

Screen Shot 2024 10 09 at 4.52.36 PM

Ya’ll remember the late 80’s film, The Running Man? Campy, low key classic based on Stephen King’s book, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, no less. Now, Daniel Ezra has secured a major role following his departure from All American, as he joins rising super star Glen Powell in Paramount’s upcoming remake of the film The Running Man. Talk about a win for Ezra!

Okay, now according to Deadline, Ezra, Powell, and Katy O’Brian are set to star in the reimagined adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, which will be directed by Edgar Wright. Again, the film is a fresh take on the original source material.

Get this, Wright’s version is described as “a chase thriller set in a dystopian America in the year 2025,” centering on the character Ben Richards. For the record, that sounds closer to the actual book than the first film adaptation.

Richards, the film’s protagonist, is portrayed as “a desperate man who participates in a violent reality show called The Running Man in order to win enough money to revive his gravely ill daughter.” The plot follows Richards as he is pursued by various hunters, each sent to kill him as part of the deadly competition.

What’s more, in addition to directing, Wright will co-write the screenplay alongside Michael Bacall. Wright will also produce the film alongside Nira Park and Simon Kinberg, with George Linder serving as executive producer.

The Running Man is slated to hit theaters on November 21, 2025. So we have to wait a bit but not forever.

Let’s just say, Ezra’s departure from All American as a series regular marks a new phase in his career, though he will return for guest appearances and continue his work behind the camera, directing several episodes of the series.

Upcoming Documentary ‘Public Enemies: Kendrick Vs Drake’ Will Peel Layers From Rap’s Biggest Beef

Screen Shot 2024 10 08 at 1.34.38 PM

The biggest rap rivalry in recent memory is set to receive the full documentary treatment in a new project from Channel 4.

As reported by Deadline Hollywood, Channel 4 will release Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake, a documentary produced by Acme Films and GroupM Motion Entertainment, which will explore the rise of both megastar rappers as well as their recent beef. The film will use “archival footage and interviews with those who’ve known and worked with the rappers” to document their individual journeys to stardom and the reasons why both Kendrick and Drake have become defining figures in modern Hip-Hop.

In what’s likely to chronicle their meteoric success, the documentary will take a deep dive into their highly publicized feud that crossed personal and cultural lines.

ICYMI, the brutal clash on wax included notable diss tracks such as Kendrick’s former Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Not Like Us,” the fierce “Family Matters,” and Drake’s response in “The Heart Part 6,” which many interpreted as a concession.

Now get this, Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is positioned as more than just a biography of two of Hip-Hop’s most influential voices. Shaminder Nahal, Head of Specialist Factual at Channel 4, described the documentary as “a cultural exploration of two of the most influential voices in modern music.” Nahal added, “This documentary will delve into the unique journeys of Kendrick and Drake, examining how their backgrounds, talents, and visions have made them global icons.”

Here’s what Jaimie D’Cruz, Creative Director at Acme Films, explained: “It’s only a few years since our previous Public Enemies film for Channel 4 explored the rivalry between Jay Z and Kanye West, but Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake feels like a story that takes place in a time when all the rules have changed, and beef is all around us.”

Since the feud concluded, or at least we think since there’s no round two’s from Kendrick’s standpoint, he has continued to achieve significant milestones. In addition to “Not Like Us” reaching No. 1 on the charts, he headlined a Juneteenth Pop Out concert at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and was named the performer for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. In a promotional trailer for the event, Kendrick notably declared, “There’s no round twos,” a statement many believe was aimed at closing the chapter on his beef with Drake, despite rumors of a potential continuation.

We’re excited for this one as Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is poised to offer an in-depth look at one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic rivalries, while also examining the cultural impact of both artists.

Jonathan Majors’ Shelved Film ‘Magazine Dreams’ Receiving Theatrical Release in 2025

Screen Shot 2024 10 03 at 1.44.36 PM

Just when you thought Jonathan Majors’ career was down for the count, his highly anticipated bodybuilding film Magazine Dreams is now set to hit theaters after all.

The movie will see a release in early 2025, following a delay due to Majors’ legal challenges and subsequent conviction.

That aside, Magazine Dreams has found a home. Briarcliff Entertainment has secured the domestic distribution rights, with CEO Tom Ortenberg confirming the news in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.

“Magazine Dreams is a visceral experience that challenges the perceptions of ambition and identity,” Ortenberg stated. “Jonathan Majors’ transcendent performance as Killian Maddox will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most compelling and transformative roles in recent cinema history.”

ICYMI about the film, also stars Haley Bennett, follows Majors as an amateur bodybuilder and was initially acquired by Searchlight after receiving strong praise at the Sundance Film Festival. It was originally scheduled for release in December, but Disney pulled it from their lineup as Majors faced legal trouble.

Majors was a rising Hollywood star. He was known for his roles in Creed III, Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the Disney+ series Loki. He was convicted in December on one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree and a harassment violation, following a domestic dispute with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabari. As you know, he avoided jail time, Majors was required to complete a 52-week in-person domestic violence prevention program. He was acquitted of other charges, including aggravated harassment.

When it comes to Briarcliff Entertainment’s acquisition of Magazine Dreams, it signals a new chapter for the film after its initial delay and ambiguity whether it would ever see the light of day.

Get this, interestingly Ortenberg’s company is also handling The Apprentice, a film about former President Donald Trump’s real estate ventures in the 1980s, starring Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong, and Maria Bakalova.

As for Majors’ future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is over by all reporting. He was previously slated to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, but Marvel announced in July that Kang Dynasty would be replaced by Avengers: Doomsday, marking the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU.
