Drake Is Feeling “Jolly” Since Moving On From Kendrick Lamar Feud, Gordo Reveals

Drake is apparently feeling “happy as sh*t” following his viral beef with Kendrick Lamar. His frequent collaborator, Gordo, spoke about the Toronto rapper’s current mindset during an interview with People published on Wednesday. It comes as fans have been concerned about his mental health due to the popularity of Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

“Ever since all this has happened … I’ve seen him happier. It’s really weird. He’s pretty jolly,” Gordo said. “The internet makes it seem like, ‘Oh, that photo, he’s all sad and sh*t.’ That’s just a bad photo from a bad camera. But because it’s him, it’s put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. He’s looking a little droopy. He hasn’t slept.’ But the guy’s been happy as sh*t, to be honest. He’s chilling.”

He’s appeared on songs from both Sexyy Red and Camila Cabello.

Lupe Fiasco & Joe Budden Debate Their Alleged “Hate” For Kendrick Lamar & Drake

Lupe Fiasco and Joe Budden hopped into an X (formerly Twitter) Spaces discussion on Monday to discuss the viral feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. In doing so, Fiasco addressed the rumors that he hates Lamar while Budden spoke similarly on the idea of his alleged dislike for Drake. The conversation began with Fiasco admitting he had only heard Drake’s first diss song, “Push Ups,” out of all the tracks.

“You know I haven’t listened to any of the songs? I listened to ‘Push Ups’ and then after the [Rick] Ross response [‘Champagne Moments’], I haven’t listened to anything. So I haven’t heard any of the records: ‘Family Matters,’ ‘Meet the Grahams,’ ‘Not Like Us.’ I kinda tapped out,” Fiasco admitted. From there, Budden accused him of having “sheer hate for one of them n****s,” to which Fiasco countered with the same accusation of him.

Elliott Wilson Thinks Kendrick Lamar & Drake’s Beef Will Last Forever

Elliott Wilson can’t see an end in sight to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s ongoing feud. Speaking on the beef during a recent video circulating on social media, Wilson explained that the two have been disliking each other behind the scenes for over a decade.

“It’s never over, this Drake Kendrick sh*t is never over… these n****s took over a decade to finally get at it when there was already tension the whole time,” he said. “You think its gonna go away in a couple months? This sh*t is forever.” He added that, for Drake, it’s not as simple as admitting he lost and moving on. “The problem is that Drake and his people are legitimately stunned and mad that they lost, and they can’t accept it,” he explained.

Big Sean recreated an iconic meme of LeBron James in the wake of fans theorizing that he is beefing with Kendrick Lamar. Dr. Umar Wants Drake To Clarify His Racial Identity

Dr. Umar has called on Drake to confirm his racial identity. Speaking about the Toronto rapper and his feud with Kendrick Lamar in a new video on social media, Umar requested that Drake explain whether he identifies as Black or mixed-race. He offered to speak with him when he visits Canada later this year.

“For my brother Drake, I need you to clarify whether or not you are a Black man,” Umar said, as caught by HipHopDX. “Some people are claiming my brother Drake, who I love and respect, that you embrace a mixed-race identity, that you do not embrace a Black-first identity. So, I have to ask my brother Drake to clear the record for me, Dr. Umar Ifatunde. Maybe we can have a sit down when I come to Toronto on October 5th and 6th, but I need you to clarify that for me, brother Drake. Brother Drake, I need you to clarify: are you a Black-first Black man? Or do you identify as mixed race? Or do you identify as untouchable first? Do you primarily identify as an untouchable? Do you identify as mixed race? Or are you a Black-first Black man?”

NORE Predicts Kendrick Lamar & Drake Will Reunite, But Fans Aren’t Buying It

NORE says he expects Kendrick Lamar and Drake to put their beef to rest and eventually make one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time. He shared his prediction on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday morning. “I predict Kendrick and drake squash it and eventually make 1 of the greatest hiphop records of all time !!!” he wrote.

Few users agreed with NORE’s take. In response, one fan wrote: “N.O.R.E must not know Drake offered Kendrick a feature verse on First Person Shooter and he turned it down, and called him a pedofile in the middle of a rap battle.” Another added: “Nah. Kendrick has generational hate — And, given the reasons behind it, that will not change. Drake is too arrogant to admit that he did anything wrong, and Kendrick has too much love and respect for the art of rap and hip hop as a culture to let Drake slide.” Others mentioned how JAY-Z and Nas eventually reconciled and have since collaborated with one another.

Uncle Luke Calls Out Drake For Co-Signing Rick Ross Attack

Uncle Luke slammed Drake in a video on social media, earlier this week, after the Toronto rapper seemingly liked a clip of of Rick Ross and his team getting jumped for playing Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in Canada. Luke says it’s a dangerous move and condoning it is “unacceptable.”

“This whole fighting with my boy Rick Ross and his guys in Canada, that’s unacceptable,” he said. “That [isn’t] supposed to happen. And what’s more unacceptable is when Mr. Drake liked the post. I expect more out of Mr. Drake. When there is violence, you don’t condone it. Drake, you should be bigger than that. You don’t like no posts because here’s what happens: there’s always a backlash to it all.”

Joe Budden Debates Whether Drake Is An Outsider In Hip-Hop Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud

Joe Budden discussed Kendrick Lamar’s criticism of Drake as being a “colonizer” in hip-hop during a recent appearance on the BagFuel podcast. While he didn’t come right out and agree with the take, he discussed the merits of Lamar’s argument. On his viral diss track, “Not Like Us,” Lamar raps: “You run to Atlanta when you need a few dollars / No, you not a colleague, you a f*ckin’ colonizer.”

“Culture is where Kendrick was shifting his conversation: how do you dress? Who’s your barber? Are you a good dad? Can you dance? Your slaps? What’s your hood? Did you have a nickname growing up? Sh*t like that is what Kendrick was leaning into to,” he said. “Those people, I believe, created hip-hop.”

Lamar had brought up the ring while performing at The Pop Out – Ken & Friends in Los Angeles, last month. “Even if that’s not your intent, you gotta know how that comes off,” Budden said. “I’ve never been around Drake and Kendrick, but to hear Kendrick say, ‘You run to Atlanta when you need a check balance…’ It’s like, ‘Oh, you noticed that too.’ ‘Cause I noticed that. I get what you trying to say. And you probably the only person that could say it, and it be effective and impactful.”
