[WATCH] Actor Tyrin Turner Reveals He Tried To Sabotage The Cult Classic ‘Belly’ After Losing Role To DMX

rico

Actor Tyrin Turner who appeared in the 1998 cult film “Belly,” recently revealed that he tried to sabotage the movie after director Hype Williams gave his role to DMX. Turner sat down with Dub C and CJ Mac and shared he was promised the lead role of Tommy “Buns” Bundy in the film, but Williams changed his mind and gave it to DMX instead. Turner was instead cast as Big Head Rico and feeling angry and disappointed so he revealed he attempted to bring the film down by delivering an intentionally silly performance.
Ironically, his plan backfired as it had the opposite effect. In the interview, Turner explained that he met Hype Williams and was offered the role of DMX’s character in the movie. However, a few months later, Williams informed Turner that DMX would be taking on the role instead. Feeling irritated and upset, Turner decided to sabotage the movie by playing his character in a ridiculous and over-the-top manner. Despite his intentions, the movie went on to become a cult classic and was a commercial success, raking in $9 million at the box office on a $3 million budget.
Turner’s character, Rico, had a memorable scene where he was sloppily munching on a banana while admitting how he was going to “drop a dime.” Despite Turner’s intentions, this scene became an iconic moment in the movie.
“Belly” was Hype Williams’ directorial debut and starred DMX, Nas, Method Man, and other notable hip hop artists. The movie was released in 1998 and had a successful box office run. A sequel, “Belly 2: Millionaire Boyz Club,” was released in 2006.
Fast forward to the 33:16 mark for the tea.

Cam’ron hit Instagram last week and shared an older podcast clip from The Joe Budden podcast. As of late, Cam and Ma$e have found a new level of popularity for their sports show.

Now N.O.R.E. has tossed in his own message about the matter, wondering why the Dipset leader went to the Internet.

“Me and you are friends from the 90s. You have my real-life phone number You hung out with me for days before you did Drink Champs just to make sure I was the same yalla that you know. If you thought at any time I was going at you, Why would you go to the internet 1st?”

Dillon Brooks Says He Doesn't Regret Comments to LeBron Because He's a 'Competitor'

Dillon Brooks has finally spoken. After being tossed by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers from the playoffs, Brooks had been silent, opting to skip post-game media availability and receiving a $25,000 fine in the process.

Brooks was on hand at the Grizzlies’ season wrap-up session and gave his thoughts to the media. “That’s who I am,” Brooks said. “I’m a competitor. I compete. I don’t think it got LeBron ‘geeked’ up. He’s back in the playoffs, it’d been a little while. He was ready to play.”

After the Los Angeles Lakers ousted the Memphis Grizzlies from the NBA Playoffs, King James didn’t stick around to shake hands with his opponent, especially Dillon Brooks. But over the weekend, the Lakers star did have some messages to get off, one of which was written by JAY-Z.

Hitting Twitter, James sent a message to the young boys, evoking the energy of HOV’s “Trouble” when, at a point, he was doing the same.

“Trouble” was part of JAY-Z’s “Kingdom Come” album and bars set for R. Kelly and others. But the jabs at “young” rappers have long been thought to be bars at Lil Wayne, who was running with the Best Rapper Alive title and had subliminals for JAY-Z as well. Clearly, they are cool today.

But Bron wasn’t done, flipping Mystikal’s “if you see me fighting a bear, help the bear.” Another shot at the Grizzlies.

Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty Accuser Seeking Default Judgement For Alleged Sucker Punch

ken

Queens MC, Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty, were sued last year by the head of security at a venue in Germany. The accuser claims Zoo broke his jaw with a sucker punch because a male fan was allowed to run on stage during Nicki’s performance.

Now the accuser is seeking a default judgement after Nicki and her hubby ignored his lawsuit.

Radar Online reports:

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the man suing the couple has asked a judge to grant him a default.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, back in 2022, Thomas Weidenmuller brought a lawsuit for battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.

Last year, Weidenmüller asked the court to allow him to serve Minaj and Petty via an alternative method. He hired a process server who made various unsuccessful attempts to track down the rapper.

The judge signed off on the request and Weidenmüller placed a notice in the local paper notifying Minaj and Petty of the lawsuit.

Now, the security guard has demanded the court grant him a default against Minaj and Petty. The judge signed off on the default against Minaj but has yet to grant one against Petty.

Now, Weidenmüller will move for a default judgment in the amount of $753k.

[WATCH] Swizz Beatz Reveals He Once Worked Himself To Near Paralysis

Screen Shot 2023 04 29 at 10.17.33 AM

Swizz Beatz recently shared news of a health scare he faced at the beginning of his career that nearly caused him to never walk again.

The award-winning producer stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show where he revealed early on in his career, he once worked himself to near-paralysis.

“When you come from nothing, and you finally get success, get a piece of what you thought you could never get from your surroundings — we just have a habit of going hard as men, you know, and it caught up to me,” he told the Oscar-winning host. “I remember staying up for four days straight just over-pushing it. It messed up my immune system — I had spinal meningitis.”

He continued: “And I remember going to the hospital, and the doctor was cold. He was cold as ice. As soon as I walked in, he said, ‘okay, you might not die, but you’ll never walk again.’ That was the first thing they said to me when I went into the hospital. But I was in so much pain, I was like, ‘let’s get on to it.’ But, Alhamdulillah [Praise be to Allah], I came back, and I beat the odds with that one. And now, I try to take my health a little bit more serious.”

[WATCH] AI Scammers Using Social Media Audio To Scam Loved Ones

scam

In recent years, scammers have become increasingly sophisticated in their techniques using AI technology (artificial intelligence)to lure unsuspecting victims into their schemes. One of the latest tools that scammers are using to trick people is artificial intelligence (AI).

In a scary turn of events, scammers are now creating deepfake videos. Deepfakes are videos that have been manipulated using AI to make it appear as if someone is saying or doing something that they didn’t actually do. Scammers are now using deepfakes to create videos that appear to show celebrities or other well-known figures endorsing a particular product or investment opportunity.

These videos can be incredibly convincing, and they can be used to trick people into investing in a fake company or buying a worthless product. In some cases, scammers have even used deepfakes to impersonate government officials, such as the president or a member of Congress, in order to trick people into giving them money.
AI has many legitimate uses, from helping companies to improve their products and services, to enabling researchers to make breakthroughs in fields such as medicine and environmental science. On the downside, it has also become a powerful weapon in the hands of scammers who use it to trick people into parting with their money.

One of the most common ways that scammers use AI is through chatbots. Chatbots are computer programs that can simulate conversation with human beings, and they are increasingly being used by companies to provide customer service. However, scammers have also started using chatbots to trick people into thinking that they are talking to a real person.

For example, scammers might create a chatbot that looks like a customer service representative from a bank or a credit card company. The chatbot might then ask the victim to provide personal information, such as their bank account number or their social security number, under the guise of verifying their identity. Once the scammers have this information, they can use it to steal the victim’s money or commit identity theft.

Another way that scammers use AI is through phishing scams. Phishing is a type of scam in which the attacker sends an email or text message that appears to come from a legitimate source, such as a bank or a social media platform. The message will often contain a link that the victim is encouraged to click on, which will then take them to a fake website that looks like the real thing.

Scammers are now using AI to make their phishing emails and text messages more convincing. For example, they might use AI to generate messages that are tailored to the victim’s interests or that appear to come from a friend or family member. This can make the message seem more trustworthy, and increase the chances that the victim will click on the link and fall for the scam.

In a nutshell, scammers are using AI in a variety of ways to trick people into parting with their money. My husband and I use code words and other confirmation to inform our child. From chatbots to phishing emails to deepfake videos, these scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and difficult to detect. It is important for people to be aware of these scams and to take steps to protect themselves, such as by never giving out personal information to anyone who asks for it online, and by being wary of any investment opportunity that seems too good to be true. By staying informed and taking precautions, people can protect themselves from these and other types of scams.
