Trump Falls Out of Forbes Top 400 Richest Americans List

Trump Stops by Miami Restaurant for Food and Prayers After Pleading Not Guilty

Former president Donald Trump is no longer one of the richest people, according to Forbes. The top 400 list has dropped, and that list dropped him.

Trump was removed once in 2021 but returned in 2022 at the 343rd slot on the list. He was carrying a net worth of $3.2 billion. Now he once again finds himself on the outside, as his net worth is projected to be just $2.6 billion. Forbes notes that the loss of worth is due to a poor investment in Truth Social, his Twitter alternative, and the depreciation of some of his real estate assets. Trump is believed to have $426 million in liquid assets.

In other news, expensive food won’t hurt the former commander-in-chief because Donald Trump truly loves his fast food. The former president was in court facing a $250 million civil suit for fraud and had a massive McDonald’s order delivered to court.

TMZ notes Trump had a couple members of his security team bring in a hoard of McDonald’s for lunch.

Trump was present in court on Monday with his legal team Clifford Robert, Alina Habba, and Christopher Kise. Likely the crew who were in for the meal.

Trump has been known for his fast food choices, even during his presidency when he hosted the Clemson Tigers National Championship team and Baylor Lady Bears for Big Macs at the White House.

You can learn more about Trump’s crumbling empire here.

Napoleon of The Outlawz Says 2Pac Wouldn’t Want Keffe D in Jail

Napoleon of The Outlawz Says 2Pac Wouldn't Want Keffe D in Jail

Napoleon of the Outlawz has an opinion on the arrest of Duane “Keffe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac Shakur. According to Napoleon, Tupac himself wouldn’t want Napoleon to go prison.

Speaking on The Art of Dialogue, Napoloeon feels Keffe D got himself in trouble but Pac would want him free.

“If Pac survived the shooting, Pac himself wouldn’t want Keffe D to go to jail,” said Napoleon. “A lot of people might not understand, but me knowing Pac, Pac ain’t gonna get no law involved because Pac would understand he did something in the streets would come back with street stuff.”

The charges against Duane “Keffe D” Davis have officially been announced. He is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the killing of Tupac Shakur.

“There’s been many people who did not believe that the murder of Tupac Shakur was important to this police department,” said Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “I am here to tell you that that was simply not the case.”

According to famed court reporter Meghan Cuniff, Davis’s role is “by directly committing this crime” or aiding and abetting by giving the gun used. Also named in the indictment are his nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson and two other men. All of them are dead.

A press conference on the arrest is available below.

On Friday (Sept. 29) Las Vegas police arrested Duane “Keffe D” Davis in connection to the 1996 drive-by murder that led to Tupac Shakur’s death. In the past, Keffe D stated he was in the car that carried out the drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.

Appearing on various forms of media, Keffe D stated his nephew Anderson was one of the men in the back of the Cadillac where the shots were fired. Earlier in the night, Anderson and Tupac were involved in a brawl. Anderson was killed in a separate shooting in Compton but denied involvement in the shooting of Tupac.

In July, Las Vegas Metro Police issued a search warrant on the home of Paula Clemons, the wife of Keefe D, revealing that bullets found at the residence could be connected to Tupac’s murder.

LVMPD stated in a warrant that several .40 caliber bullets were retrieved from the home of the 60-year-old Duane Keith Davis, aka Keefe D, and forensics experts would test the bullets to see if they are linked to the shooting death of Tupac Shakur. A Vegas police source says that the bullets will be tested with a “definite consideration on whether they have any link to the bullets found in Tupac’s body.” Those results have not yet been made public

Homicide detectives in Las Vegas have kept the forensic evidence from the Shakur murder, including bullets and clothing, in secure storage for 26 years, with full laboratory analysis of shells, bullets, and gunpowder from the murder scene.

According to the police source, “Microfibers or residues from the weapon or the bullet could prove to be a link. There is no information yet on the history of the bullets, how old they are or their significance. And it will take some time to assess how the bullets play a role in this case. The homicide detectives leading the case are keeping everything as secretive as possible with only the district attorney’s office learning about developments. No pun intended, it is a long shot that the bullets will be the ones from 1996.”

The source added, “This search warrant was pushed because investigators feel they can assemble enough information that could lead to an arrest or indictment. Tupac’s murder remains open, so the onus remains on the police to try to attempt to close the case.”

The .40 Glock that was used in the Tupac murder was never recovered. However, Keefe D has openly admitted on several occasions that he handed the gun to his nephew Orlando Anderson that he used to shoot Tupac on September 7, 1996.

Today In Hip Hop History: Common Released His ‘Resurrection’ Album 29 Years Ago

Screen Shot 2023 10 04 at 9.49.11 AM

On this day in Hip Hop history Chicago legend, Common, released his sophomore LP Resurrection. Produced completely by No I.D., this album was a fitting follow up to Common’s debut Can I Borrow A Dollar.

Structurally, the album was split down the middle into two sections. The first half was the “East Side of Stony” and the second half was the “West Side of Stony”. Stony Island Avenue is a street that run’s through the South Side of Chicago, where Common grew up. Throughout the album, Common continued to relate his themes and lyrics to himself, his past, and his surroundings in Chicago creating a very introspective experience.

This album also features one of Common’s most controversial singles “I Used to Love H.E.R.”. As Resurrection‘s lead single, “I Used to Love H.E.R.” was an ode to golden era Hip Hop. The song in it’s entirety is a metaphor in which Common relates Hip Hop to a girl who loses her innocence after being enticed by the materialistic side of life. The acronym “H.E.R” actually stood for “Hip Hop in its essence is real”. In the song, Common explains how Hip Hop culture is being destroyed by gangsta rap culture (which was centered around violence, materialism, and misogyny according to him). This opinion of course upset the West Coast, especially rap legend Ice Cube, who felt it was a personal attack on his brand of music. He in turn responded with the single “Westside Slaughterhouse” featuring Westside Connection.

Commercially, the album was a marginal hit peaking at #179 on the Billboard 200. It showed a growth in sales from his debut and prompted the success of the coming album, one Day It’ll All Make Sense.

Happy Birthday To Hip Hop’s First Mogul Russell Simmons!

Screen Shot 2023 10 04 at 9.09.24 AM

Today we celebrate the 66th birthday of Hip Hop pioneer Russell Simmons!

Since the founding of Def Jam Recordings in 1983, Russell Simmons has been an instrumental part in the advancement of Hip Hop culture. Over his illustrious career Russell has launched the careers of multi-platinum artists (LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy to name a few), co-founded top-selling clothing lines Baby Phat and Phat Farm, created financial institutions with the Rush Card, and award-winning television shows Def Poetry Jam and Run’s House. It is nearly impossible to say what the state of rap music and Hip Hop culture would be today with the Russell Simmons influence.

Lately, Uncle Rush has even begun taking large strides outside of the entertainment and financial industries, becoming Hip Hop’s new-age spiritual guru. Since 2010, Simmons has released self-help books sharing his views on religion, spirituality, and even health. Through his Hindu and vegan lifestyles, Uncle Rush has assumed the role of mentor to a vast majority of today’s top recording artists.

Over the years, Hip Hop empires have risen to power and fallen from the mountaintop. Russell Simmons, however, has always been able to brave the tide and stand strong as one of the most impregnable forces of marketing and branding expertise. Since his first project, Run D.M.C., it has been obvious that no one truly understands Hip Hop the way that Russell Simmons does. His Midas touch continues to transform the culture into something new (and more profitable) with every idea he brings to fruition. He is truly a rap genius.

Police Detective Blames Suge Knight for 2Pac’s Murder Remaining an Open Case

i

Suge Knight has been making the media rounds after the arrest of Keefe D for his role in the murder of Tupac Shakur. According to lead detective Greg Kading, who investigated the murder of The Notorious B.I.G., Keefe D could have long been arrested but Knight wouldn’t assist.

“If there’s anybody in the world to blame for this taking 27 years to solve, it’s Suge Knight,” Kading told Rolling Stone. “He knew the moment it happened who did it.

“And all Suge had to do when Las Vegas asked him to come in and sit down for an interview, all he had to do was say, ‘They pulled up alongside, I looked right across the car, I saw Keefe D in the front seat.’ That’s all he had to say: ‘I saw Keefe D.’ That alone, that witness statement would’ve changed everything.”

Kading stated Knight operated under the belief that his representation was more valuable than 2Pac’s life.

Suge Knight says he will not take the stand against Duane “Keffe D” Davis after the latter was arrested and charged with the murder of Tupac Shakur.

According to TMZ, Knight stated he was surprised but would not testify.

“I’m not gonna get on the stand and testify on somebody,” Knight said. “For what? I wouldn’t go, I wouldn’t testify. None of that shit.”

The charges against Duane “Keffe D” Davis have officially been announced. He is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the killing of Tupac Shakur.
