“This is the liveliest city right now on the planet but we have also got to be the safest,” Pharrell said. “I know you guys are excited and I know you are wanting to throw your wrist gadgets and lights and all that, but you can’t as the girls are dancing. And me? I love women, how about you?

[WATCH] Diddy Denied Biggie Sample For Conway The Machine, Cleared Sample For King Combs

Screenshot 2024 03 12 at 8.54.25 PM

Hitamaka recently sat down with Superstar Jay on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 and during the interview, Hitmaka revealed that Diddy denied Conway The Machine a Notorious B.I.G. sample and later cleared it for his son King Combs. He also shared that King Combs’ song “Naughty” was initially Boosie Badazz’s record.

Hitmaka on Diddy, Conway The Machine & Boosie Badazz controversy

Superstar Jay: Would you do a record for Boosie?

Hitmaka: Of course. I’ve done records for Boosie. Christian Combs had a record called “Naughty” with Jeremih and I had just started working with Atlantic Records at that time and actually Boosie had that record first and no disrespect respectfully to Christian because we got a bunch of other records that went crazy too. I love Boosie’s version more and Puff called Craig Calvin and was like, “No, I need that record,” and this was when I first started working at Atlantic and Craig called me like, “What did you do to Diddy?”

Superstar Jay: Why do you always get controversy with Christian because the record that I love with A Boogie, Jeremih was Conway’s record. I remember Conway telling me even when I told you about it, he was like, “Man.” Puff was like, “F that.”

Hitmaka: No, no, no, but Puff will do that though. You know what I’m saying? Look, Boosie had that record first. Christian wanted that record. Jeremih gave it to Christian. We recorded the record with Boosie first at Jeremih’s house. I was excited about it. I’m like, “This is a hit.” Boosie was going crazy, snapped on it. Me and Jeremih ended up seeing Christian. He gave him the record. I was standing on it like, “Nah.” I just started working for Atlantic. This Boosie record, Boosie was on Atlantic, so I’m like, “Yo, this Boosie record.” Puff called Craig Calvin. Craig Calvin called me like, “Christian, what is going on? Why is Sean Combs calling me?” I’m like, “I don’t know what’s going on.” It ended up being Christian’s record. The Conway situation, in that record with Conway, I ended up sampling a Diddy song and he wouldn’t clear the record for us. He wouldn’t clear the record for nobody except his son and that’s why Christian Combs got that record too. Salute to Christian and Diddy though.

DJ Superstar Jay: VIP Saturdays airs on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 on Saturdays at 8:00pm ET and is available anytime on the SiriusXM app.

Iman Shumpert Denies Shutting Off Teyana Taylor’s House Utilities

iman shumpert teyana taylor billboard

The ongoing divorce proceedings between Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have taken a contentious turn, with Taylor accusing Shumpert of disconnecting essential utilities at their marital home after he moved out.

Court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal that Taylor’s attorney filed a motion for contempt, claiming that Shumpert had deliberately shut off the cable, Wi-Fi, and water supply at their residence. The motion alleges that these actions were taken without regard for the well-being of their minor children.

Taylor’s attorney expressed concern over Shumpert’s apparent reluctance to resolve the divorce amicably, accusing him of prolonging the legal process through trial instead of seeking a peaceful resolution.

In response, Shumpert denied Taylor’s accusations, stating that he had agreed to transfer the utility bills into her name in January 2024. He vehemently denied instructing or requesting the disconnection of any utilities, asserting that all accounts were current and paid in full as of the filing date of his response.

Despite Taylor’s emergency motion, a judge denied her request, leaving the matter unresolved as the legal battle continues.

The conflicting accounts presented by Taylor and Shumpert highlight the complexities and challenges inherent in divorce proceedings, particularly when children are involved.

Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Demands Back Alimony Amid Financial Dispute

wendy 1

In the latest development of the ongoing saga surrounding former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams, her ex-husband Kevin Hunter has taken legal action to demand two years of back alimony payments. This move comes after Wendy’s guardian claimed she had no remaining funds, sparking a financial battle between the former couple.

According to recent reports from The Sun, Kevin Hunter is insisting that Wendy resume the payments that he claims were agreed upon in their Marital Settlement Agreement. These payments abruptly ceased just before Wendy was placed under guardianship in 2022, leaving Kevin without his expected income for nearly two years.

In exclusive court filings obtained by The U.S. Sun, Kevin Hunter expressed the impact of the sudden halt in payments on his financial stability. He stated, “I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly.”

Kevin’s legal filings reveal his intention to bring the matter before the court once again after failed attempts at out-of-court mediation. He has petitioned the court to compel Wendy, through her guardianship, to immediately fulfill any outstanding severance payments owed to him.

Kevin Hunter is seeking resolution regarding Wendy’s AFTRA Retirement Plan. He requested the court’s intervention to ensure Wendy signs the Qualified Domestic Relations Order for the AFTRA Retirement Plan or appoint him an Attorney in Fact to execute the document if Wendy fails to comply within seven days of the court’s order.

“I would not have to file this motion if the plaintiff did not stop my severance payments and if the plaintiff would have signed the qualified domestic relations order for the AFTRA retirement plan,” Kevin emphasized in his filing, indicating his frustration with the lack of cooperation from Wendy’s side.

The legal dispute between Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter underscores the complexities of financial matters in high-profile divorces. As the legal battle unfolds, it sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals navigating post-divorce financial arrangements, especially when one party’s financial situation becomes uncertain.

Trump Posts Whopping Near $92 Million Bond in E. Jean Carroll Defamation Case

trump

So when you lose a civil trial, and you have to pay, but you want to file an appeal, you can’t just say let’s wait for the appeal, and I’ll pay later if I lose said appeal. You have to post a bond. Usually, it is for more than the total amount.

Now that we got that lament legal stuff out the way, Former President Donald Trump, who was Defendant Trump in this case, among others, just posted an enormous $91.63 million bond as he goes through the appeals process to challenge the civil judgment against him in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, where she said he raped her years ago. A jury of Trump’s peers found that Trump sexually assaulted Carroll and ordered him to pay a few million bucks. Then Trump defamed Carroll AGAIN, and she won $83.3 million, ouch, in the judgment against the former president.

CNN reported, “The notice of Trump’s bond and appeal was made with the federal court in New York on Friday.”

So the insurance company Chubb, that’s their name, underwrote the bond for Trump. Like, they must think he’s good for it especially since he lost another New York civil trial for $454 million. Anyway, the former president signed on it Tuesday.

According to CNN, the bond terms are as follows: “Chubb will only secure the appeal of the $83.3 million judgment, not any future appeals. The bond size is greater than the judgment because the district court generally requires a party to post 110% of the bond.”

In Carroll’s case, like most civil cases that end with a significant monetary judgment against the defendant, Trump argued that the jury award was excessive and should be reduced. But Carroll’s highly talented lawyers argued that Trump should be hit with a big number in damages so that he actually stops defaming Carroll and, who knows, hopefully others.

Whelp, that’s how the cookie crumbles.
