Fans have come to expect a FLYGOD release every October, you can set your watch by it.  Yet, every October Westside Gunn still manages to deliver the expected-in an unexpected way.

You know what time it is!  Just like Jay-Z held you down in the summer, Westside Gunn always holds you down on Halloween.  It’s a tradition.  It’s culture.  And you know the FLYGOD is culture.

A few weeks after the influential multi-hyphenate, added yet another hyphen to his name, with the announcement of his collaboration with Saucony, if its #HoodieSZN on the East Coast, you know the FLYGOD will carry on tradition for the culture.  And what’s better than one new Westside Gunn project? How about, two!

As has become a fan-favorite/expectation on Halloween, Westside Gunn has released, 11, which is produced in its entirety by Denny Laflare and features Gunn in his bag with no guest appearances.

Consider 11, the art piece, before the art piece, because at midnight EST on 11.1.24, FLYGOD will also release Still Praying (the highly-anticipated follow-up to And Then You Pray For Me); which features guest appearances from Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, Boldy James, Stove God Cooks, Rome Streetz and production from Conductor Williams and Daringer among others.

11 is the most personal project I ever made, it’s dedicated to my brother who was killed in April, but narrated by my brother who has life in prison fighting to come home” Gunn explains.  “This is the reality for Westside Gunn”

Westside Gunn then puts an exclamation point on the week, and shifts into 4th Rope mode on 11.2.24, as his now official wrestling promotion initiative makes history and takes over Chicago for the Heels Have Eyes 3 entertainment extravaganza.  Heels Have Eyes merges all of Gunn’s loves (4th Rope highlights Gunn’s love of wrestling through the lens of art, fashion and music) and the third installment promises to be the best rendition yet.  Which includes a Steel Praying steel cage match, Joe Hendry vs. AJ Francis, Moose vs. ZILLA FATU for the 4th Rope heavyweight championship belt which will be awarded by Westside Gunn and new 4th Rope commissioner, the legend MVP.  On the musical performance side, FLYGOD has brought in iconic artists DJ Premier and Pete Rock, as well as Statik Selektah, Rome Streetz, Daringer, and other still-not-announced special guests.  Heels Have Eyes 3 promises to be an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

Ari Lennox Feels ‘Manipulated’ By Dreamville and Interscope in IG Claim

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 4.21.47 PM

Ari Lennox isn’t happy. The songstress recently voiced her frustrations with Dreamville and Interscope Records, alleging that both labels have been “dismissive” and “uncommitted” to her career.

On the gram, she accused them of manipulation and neglect, saying, “I’m so tired of people acting like they’re sorry for me… What I don’t appreciate is being signed, lied to, and manipulated.” Lennox expressed that her labels have not adequately supported her music, particularly her latest single “Smoke,” released on October 18, which she claimed was promoted without her consent and without proper marketing support. Yikes.

Get this, and indie artists can relate, she shared that she even resorted to paying for her own Google Ads, frustrated with the lack of promotional effort on the labels’ part. “I just want to be released,” she said, stating she’s “done being nice” after a series of letdowns.

As you know Lennox is Dreamville’s first female artist, Lennox’s position is unique, but her dissatisfaction hints at a disconnect between her creative vision and the label’s direction. Her latest album, age/sex/location, showcased her vulnerability and artistry but only reached No. 69 on the Billboard 200.

This public lashing out of her labels highlights the tension artists often face in the music industry over creative control and marketing.

Neither Dreamville or Interscope have issued a response.

Judge Rules New-ish Diddy Accuser Can Not Remain Anonymous in Civil Lawsuit

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 4.00.05 PM

In the barrage of abuse claims being filed against Diddy, a federal judge has ruled that a woman who accused Sean Combs of rape two decades ago must reveal her identity if she wishes to proceed with her lawsuit.

Get this, U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil in Manhattan determined that “the balance of interests at stake weighs strongly” against allowing the plaintiff, identified only as Jane Doe, to continue using a pseudonym in her civil case against Combs.

This potentially precedent setting decision may impact other civil suits filed or potentially filed against Combs, 54, who also faces criminal charges for sex trafficking in Manhattan federal court. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and denies any wrongdoing in the civil cases.

Currently just named Doe, a Tennessee resident, alleges that Combs raped and threatened her life at a Manhattan hotel in 2004 when she was 19. Judge Vyskocil noted that “this is the kind of case that further[s] the public’s interest in enforcing legal and social norms.”

Tony Buzbee, Doe’s attorney who also represents numerous other alleged victims anonymously suing Combs, who even launched a 1-800 hotline, did not respond to requests for comment. Combs’ representatives also declined to comment.

When it comes to the ongoing criminal case, Combs’ lawyers have requested that federal prosecutors identify alleged victims, arguing that it would aid in preparing for the trial set for May 5, 2025, and help address other accusers’ claims. Combs’ attorneys contend he should not be left to “play a guessing game” amid what they describe as an “onslaught of baseless allegations… designed to exact a payoff.”

LeBron and Bronny Set to Play Again Tonight Against Cavaliers in Symbolic Cleveland Game

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 3.27.48 PM

The Los Angeles Lakers, who are off to their best start in years at 3-1, are adding another dramatic layer to their season. The LeBron James and Bronny playing together saga is expected go down again in Cleveland on Wednesday (Oct. 30) night.

If you were under a proverbial rock, Bronny briefly joined his father on the hardwood during the Lakers’ opening game against Minnesota, logging just over two minutes in their 110-103 win. Following this road trip, Bronny is expected to join the Lakers’ G League team. Expect to see Bronny as a two way player throughout the season as he develops his game.

Here’s how LeBron reflected on playing alongside his son, “It’s definitely going to be very special to be back home and be able to run the floor with my son who spent a lot of time on that floor throughout my days when I played there for eleven years.”

The Cleveland game is set to be a symbolic moment, especially given the James family’s deep roots in Ohio, where LeBron spent 11 seasons with the Cavaliers and led them to their only NBA championship in 2016.

Listen for all the naysayers about the Bronny experiment, ya’ll need to enjoy these moments. We’ll probably never see anything like this again so it is what it is.

Drake, Chris Brown and More Sued For $5M Over ‘No Guidance’ Copyright Infringement

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 3.13.12 PM

Even the biggest artists in the game aren’t immune to lawsuits emerging from hit records. Drake and Chris Brown face a $5 million copyright infringement lawsuit, with artists Tykeiya Dore and Marc Stephens alleging that their 2016 song “I Got It” was copied in the 2019 hit “No Guidance.” Filed in New Jersey, the lawsuit claims the two songs share “the same chord progressions, tempo, pitch, key, melody, harmony, rhythm, structure, phrasing, and lyrics,” pointing to a change from “I got it” to “You got it” as a direct example of copying.

The complaint adds, “It’s impossible to not hear the two songs are substantially similar,” with a since-deleted YouTube video illustrating the overlap.

We haven’t heard it but if we did, we would weigh in.

Drizzy and Breezy aren’t the only ones named. The suit names co-writers Velous, Nija Charles, and Michee Lebrun, producers Noah “40” Shebib, Vinylz, J-Louis, Teddy Walton, and Brown’s label RCA Records. It also alleges that “I Got It” came to Vinylz’s attention through a YouTube channel, while Nija Charles allegedly received a copy from Dore’s uncle, Jesse Spruils. The lawsuit further asserts that Spruils confronted Charles about “stealing the chorus” but didn’t inform Dore due to feeling “incompetent, humiliated, and embarrassed.”

Oh but wait, there’s more. The lawsuit unusually seeks damages from YouTube, Alphabet, and Google for defamation after Stephens’ channel was deleted following a takedown request over “No Guidance.” YouTube restored his channel two months later after he threatened legal action, claiming the takedown request wasn’t fraudulent as the company suggested.

Interestingly, the lawsuit follows a previous 2021 copyright claim on “No Guidance” by Braindon Cooper and Timothy Valentine, who accused the song of copying elements from their track “I Love Your Dress.” The earlier lawsuit also highlighted the phrase “you got it” in the hook, though it was ultimately dropped in August 2022 after an undisclosed settlement. Brown and Drake initially labeled those claims as “baseless.”

Alleged Racist Student ‘Influencer’ Couple in Diddy Blackface Under Investigation

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 3.00.26 PM

A white so called influencer is facing backlash and investigation after dressing in disgusting blackface as what they thought was some lame Diddy costume, sparking widespread outrage online.

Get this, in a weird TikTok video posted on Sunday, October 27, an account called “Allegra’s Diary” shared various Halloween costumes from a recent party. One clip in particular showed a white man in blackface, dressed in a black suit jacket, white trousers, a red bowtie, and worn Adidas Sambas, with a woman dressed as a Johnson & Johnson baby oil bottle by his side.

As anticipated, the video quickly drew harsh criticism, with many viewers accusing the pair of racial insensitivity. One commenter remarked, “The fit is nowhere near how Diddy dresses so he really just wanted to get the Blackface off.” Another Twitter user observed, “I’m stuck on the fact that the Blackface is the only part of this costume that has anything at all to do with Diddy. This is a man who went to the Dee Reynolds School of Cross-Racial Impressions.” Another added, “That ain’t even Diddy, bro, that’s literally just textbook 1930s Blackface.”

Racism is apparently live and well in the spooky season, per usual.

Though the corny post was soon deleted from TikTok, the controversy prompted an investigation after social media users claimed the pair had ties to several California universities, including UCLA and San Diego State University (SDSU). According to The Independent, SDSU has since launched a formal inquiry. In a statement, the university clarified that none of the individuals in the video were confirmed SDSU students, saying, “We appreciate those who have come forward to share information about images circulating online. The use of Blackface and any actions making light of sexual assault are deeply offensive and have no place in our community. The individuals photographed are not confirmed SDSU students, and our team is working to confirm information, including the location and identities of those involved.”

Listen, somebody needs to find these clowns. And that’s what they should have worn, clown outfits.

Wack 100 Warns Diddy’s Sons After Ray J Confrontations: “If we run into you, act like it’s 1995.”

Screen Shot 2024 10 30 at 2.13.48 PM

Here we go … Looks like its on sight. Okay, Wack 100 recently issued a kind of thorough warning to Diddy’s kids after that whole alleged attempt to run up on Ray J.

Wack’s reaction went down on Tuesday night, October 29, where Wack, whose real name is Cash Jones, went live online to discuss the altercation that took place at a Halloween party in Los Angeles. During the stream, Wack connected with Ray J, who explained that he was “rushed” by a group of eight individuals, including Justin and Christian Combs, along with their brother Quincy.

As earlier reported, guess who played peacemaker … Chris Brown, who intervened, and helped defuse the situation. When it was a wrap, everyone went their separate ways.

Seems like Ray J wasn’t stressing it. During the convo, Ray J told Wack to “leave them young guys alone” and asked him not to post about the incident online, but Wack resisted.

Here’s where it goes deeper. Wack then inquired if Ray J felt comfortable with Wack revealing certain information about Diddy and his family. Sheesh. Ray J responded, “Nah, they’re too young; that’s why I moved away from it and tried to talk some sense into what happened.”

Here’s where on sight comes into play … After ending the call with Ray J, Wack addressed Diddy’s sons directly, issuing a firm warning. “It’s on,” Wack stated ominously. “That’s what it’s gon’ be. If we run into you, act like it’s 1995.”

ICYMI, the situation reportedly stems from Ray J’s recent critical statements about Diddy. Earlier in the month, Ray J launched his new program, The Reality Show News, where he voiced his frustration with industry figures, including Diddy, whom he described as a former friend. Ray J expressed disappointment in Combs and vowed to expose other influential figures who he believes are taking advantage of their power.

“Diddy was my friend,” Ray J remarked about their personal connection. “What do you do when you see all this stuff people are saying? Do you believe it? Everyone is innocent until proven guilty… but do you forgive someone for violating others? People are being robbed of more than just money; they’re being robbed of their dignity, their spirituality, and their humanity in ways that can’t be explained.”

Looks like Ray J is over it tbh. He continued his take on the industry, saying, “I’m exhausted with the people in this industry that have power and are abusing it. I could say a lot of names… I won’t today, but I will soon.”

Metro Boomin Faces Lawsuit Alleging Assault and Emotional Trauma

Eyes on 162 MLB Network Metro Boomin 0 23 screenshot

Grammy-winning music producer Metro Boomin is facing serious allegations in a new lawsuit filed by Vanessa LeMaistre, who claims the producer assaulted her in 2016 during a period of personal distress following the death of her infant son. According to the lawsuit, LeMaistre says she trusted Metro Boomin, real name Leland Tyler Wayne, prior to the incident. The two allegedly connected during a trip to Las Vegas in the spring of 2016, and he later invited her to visit his studio in Los Angeles.

LeMaistre alleges that during a September visit to his studio, she witnessed Metro Boomin using codeine, reportedly ignoring warnings from his friends. She recalls taking half a Xanax and a shot of alcohol, trying to alleviate the ongoing grief over her son’s passing. She claims she blacked out shortly afterward, later awakening to find herself in a bed with Metro on top of her, allegedly assaulting her.

LeMaistre asserts she briefly blacked out again, only to regain consciousness in a Beverly Hills hotel room where Metro informed her it was time to leave. She states she has no recollection of how she was transported to the hotel. The lawsuit further claims that LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant soon after the incident, asserting that Metro Boomin was the father. She ultimately terminated the pregnancy in November 2016.

In a striking point of the complaint, LeMaistre believes her trauma was later referenced in Metro Boomin’s 2017 track “Rap Saved Me,” featuring 21 Savage, Offset, and Quavo. The song contains the lyrics, “She took a Xanny / Then she fainted / I’m from the gutter … ain’t no changing,” which LeMaistre alleges is a reference to the incident.

In her lawsuit, LeMaistre is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for the alleged emotional pain and anguish she has endured.

Allegations Emerge Against Sean “Diddy” Combs Surrounding “Freak Off” Parties

In another shocking development, Sean “Diddy” Combs, CEO of Bad Boy Entertainment, faces serious allegations stemming from claims by his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, and a former PR agent. Cassie alleges that she was coerced into attending parties organized by Combs, known as “Freak Offs,” where guests were reportedly subjected to strict, exploitative entry criteria and potentially disturbing expectations. The allegations now also encompass charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution, with further details surfacing around the parties’ protocols and atmospheres.

The controversy escalated after a former event planner disclosed details to Page Six, claiming that female guests at these exclusive gatherings were evaluated on their appearance before entry. According to the source, women were allegedly required to weigh in at the door, with a maximum weight limit of 140 pounds enforced. “The girls had to be young and hot,” the former planner claimed, adding that she always kept a scale nearby to check compliance.

The stringent requirements allegedly went beyond weight, with the planner outlining additional appearance-based standards. “No flab, no cellulite, and minimal piercings or tattoos,” were required, as well as long hair and a dress code emphasizing short, revealing dresses paired with high stilettos. According to the source, these guidelines were non-negotiable. “No pants, no jeans, no flat shoes. Every girl had to wear a party dress, preferably very short,” she noted.

The PR agent admitted that she refrained from asking about the women’s ages, attributing this to a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, and explained her assumption that the lack of age checks was solely due to concerns over legal drinking ages. “At the time, I was really young myself, and I honestly thought we weren’t asking their age because of drinking laws,” she shared.

The event planner claims she did not stay for the alleged “Freak Offs,” nor was she initially aware of any expectations for sexual activity involving the women. Yet, these statements—alongside the initial claims made by Cassie—have cast a renewed spotlight on Combs and raised questions about past conduct at these gatherings.

As the investigation unfolds, more information may emerge regarding the alleged conditions and expectations surrounding these events. So far, Combs has not publicly addressed the specifics of these latest allegations. However, given the gravity of the accusations and the attention from former associates and media sources, this case is expected to be closely followed.

In what many thought would be the last game of the World Series, the Yankees fought hard to keep their chances alive for a 28th World Series win after beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 in Yankee Stadium. The Dodgers still lead the series 3-1, but the Yankees have an opportunity to shorten the deficit again tonight in the Bronx.

Postseason Dodger favorite Freddie Freeman kicked off the lead for L.A. with a two-run home run in the first inning, making him the first player in Major League Baseball history to homer in six consecutive World Series games; Freeman has hit a HR in every game of the 2024 World Series, including a grand slam in Game 1.

The Yankees quickly answered back with a grand slam from Anthony Volpe in the bottom of the third inning, boosting the Yanks to lead the 5-2, never to fall behind again. L.A.’s Will Smith hit a solo homer in the top of the fifth, only to be matched with a solo shot to right field by Austin Wells in the bottom of thr sixth, boosting the Yankees lead to 6-4.

The lead opened up in the bottom of the eighth when Gleyber Torres hit a three-run homer, opening up the lead to 10-4, with the Dodgers unable to come back from such a substantial Yankees leade.

Yankees pitcher Clay Holmes took the win after pitching just one inning, but a critical one, not allowing any hits and King two dodgers in one frame.

The Yankees still have a chance for the comeback on their home field tonight with Game 5 in Yankee Stadium.
