Brian McKnight & Ex Clashed Over Daughter’s Birth Control Payments: Report

Brian McKnight’s family drama has been quite the hot topic for the past month due to a few different public scandals. Moreover, court documents reportedly obtained by Radar Online on Thursday (May 25) show that he and his ex Patricia Driver had quite the contentious court affair. Not only that, but it also brought up the various medial services that the singer refused to pay for their daughter. Furthermore, their court struggles specifically revolved around the young one’s healthcare plan, her therapy sessions, and birth control pills. What’s more is that the judge took different stances on each side of the aisle.

For those unaware, Briana McKnight is Brian’s daughter with Patricia Driver, and was born while her father was still married to Julie McKnight. The first issue that came up in their legal battle was Briana’s health insurance, despite the fact that she turned 18 and was responsible for her own affairs. Reportedly, Patricia argued that Brian McKnight agree to pay her insurance costs in full during his divorce settlement and had apparently neglected the payments. Then, the judge ordered him to reimburse her for nearly $1,800 for healthcare expenses.

Readers may remember that this is the same daughter that sued Brian McKnight back in 2020 for incest slander. In fact, that story is what got a lot of public interest in his family affairs circulating like wildfire, in addition to his appreciation of his new family over his old one. Another element in the court proceedings was Briana’s therapy sessions. Apparently, the 53-year-old “did not know why it was necessary,” although he eventually changed his mind after a few months of meetings. Still, it shows a clear disconnect between both sides of the family.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo-born artist also allegedly did not want to pay for Briana’s birth control medication. Despite Patricia explaining that it was for a medical situation, he claimed that he refused to cough up the cash because he wasn’t notified in time. The judge took his side when it came to that caveat. While he continues to defend himself against accusations of abandonment, he did so by maintaining that he shares much more love for his current family. Xzibit’s Ex-Wife Demands Increase In Child Support

Xzibit’s ex-wife, Krista Joiner, is requesting an increase in child support while claiming the rapper hasn’t visited their son in six months. Xzibit currently pays his ex-wife $6,000 a month in overall support. $2,239 comes by way of child support while another $3,702 a month is for temporary spousal support. He is to pay out the child support until their 12-year-old son turns 18. According to court documents obtained by Radar, Krista wants the total to increase to $14,000.

“I believe the last time he actually saw Gatlyn was around [Xzibit’s] own birthday in September 2022,” the documents read. “Gatlyn called [Xzibit] on Christmas and [Xzibit] refused to answer or call him back. Our son is devastated.”

Afterward, she explained that tax documents show Xzibit is actually earning $45,000 a month, despite claiming to only earn $25,000 a month. She also says Xzibit stopped making Gatlyn’s tuition payments for school. Without the support, Krista says her family and friends have had to lend them funds. She further accuses Xzibit of refusing to pay for their health insurance.

“Meanwhile, we see on [Xzibit’s] social media posts that he is frequently on tour in exotic countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Australia, and New Zealand, only in the last few months,” Krista said.

In his initial arguments, Xzibit requested the judge not award Krista any spousal support. He claimed to be financially struggling to due issues caused by the pandemic. In response, Krista cited the rapper’s brother, Jason. Jason allegedly told her Xzibit makes over $1 million a month from his cannabis business. Xzibit labeled Joiner’s claims “bullshit” in a since-deleted Instagram post. He added that “there will be blood” on her hands for spreading the rumors.

Krista filed for divorce from Xzibit back in 2021. They had been together since 2001 and married in 2014. They shared two children together: Xavier and Gatlyn. Tragically, Xavier passed away just eleven days after he was born after being born prematurely. Xzibit also has another son, Tremaine, from a previous relationship.

Ne-Yo And Ex-Wife Finalize Divorce

Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Renay finalized their divorce in just five months, according to Page Six. Moreover, the publication received court documents detailing the proceedings and terms of the split. The R&B singer will pay Renay $1.6 million to equilibrate their holdings in real estate. Also, he’ll pay $20,000 for moving expenses, according to a TMZ report of settlement details. In addition, Renay kept one of their four homes in Georgia as a result of this process. However, that’s still not all, as Ne-Yo agreed to give his ex-wife another $150,000 check to buy a new car.

After all, he’s the one keeping their 2022 Bentley Bentayaga, so it’s only fair. Still, these payments add to other monetary support that Ne-Yo must offer to his former partner. For example, the 43-year-old will pay Renay $12,000 a month in child support for their three children together. Also, they agreed to joint custody and Ne-Yo agreed to cover expenses regarding education. Furthermore, the “So Sick” singer will also give his 36-year-old ex $5,000 a month in alimony for the next three years. Overall, these expenses add up to almost $2 million dollars for Ne-Yo.

However, all this hassle and monetary coverage is understandable given the case’s high profile and months-long development. Moreover, Renay filed for divorce from the Arkansas-born artist in August of 2022. However, it caught media attention for Renay’s public claims that Ne-Yo cheated on her. “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane,” she expressed as the news broke. “The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t.”

Furthermore, Renay said that Ne-Yo even fathered a child with another woman, who she called “his paramour” in the filing. Still, their history together is longer and more complicated than one might expect as an on-and-off-again couple in the 2010s. They married in February 2016, divorced two years later, and remarried in April of last year. As always, check back in with HNHH for more celebrity gossip, scandalous allegations, and the latest on this situation.

DJ Mustard Paying For Chanel Thierry’s Living Expenses & Credit Card Bills Amid Divorce

Mid-way through 2022, news of DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry’s divorce shocked many in the music industry. The long-time lovers were together for years prior to the producer’s rise to fame (12 in total). She previously described their separation as “more than heartbreaking.”

Before they were married in 2020, they had three children together. “Finally after three years we decided to take a step out on fate, and date. When I got pregnant with Kiy I was so scared, you told me ‘I got you, I got us.’ I dropped out of college, moved out my mom’s, stayed in YG’s garage for a while (yup, that’s what love will do). Then to your moms, until we got enough money to get our apt,” she recalled of how their family came to be.

Fast forward to 2023, and Mustard and Thierry are feuding like never before. According to documents obtained by Radar Online, his co-parent claims that he’s failing to meet the terms of their financial agreement. However, the California native shut down these allegations, coming back with a court filing of his own.

The DJ says that his ex is making the process difficult for them both. At the same time, he’s been paying for several of her living expenses as well as supporting their offspring.

The new documents reveal that Mustard is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids. As for child support, he’s willing to pay the previously agreed-upon amount of $18,342 a month. While it sounds high, Thierry originally requested upwards of $80k for the same payment.

“Chanel’s claim that I have starved her out financially since separation is a flat-out lie,” the 32-year-old writes in his filing. “From the time Chanel and I separated in May 2022, I continued to uphold my obligation to support her and the children. I continued to pay all of Chanel’s living expenses, including all of her credit card bills. I also continued paying Chanel’s housing costs and the children’s expenses including private school tuition.”

The father of three also believes his ex is disregarding their joint parenting plan. Consequently, he says the public is holding him in a “false and defamatory light.”

In response to his, Thierry disputed every saying she was being financially starved. “I cannot control what the media outlets pull from my social media page and what they infer from my writings,” she wrote. On the advice of her attorney, she’s also been “more cautious” about her social media interactions amid the divorce.

The exes began mediation early this month. The family matriarch allegedly said that the music star hasn’t been agreeing to anything “that would benefit the children and not himself.”

Before things became increasingly heated between the former couple, Mustard took a moment last spring to address some of the circulating rumours. At the time, rumour had it that Chanel cheated on him, resulting in their union’s demise.
