The Game Crowns Himself As ‘The Black Slim Shady’ And Disses Eminem For Ten Minutes

The Game is a man of many words. Over the years the rapper has become known for embellished stories, controversial statements, and lengthy albums. On his new album Drillmatic Heart Vs. Mind, the West Coast rapper stays true to his reputation with a 10-minute diss track aimed at Eminem titled “The Black Slim Shady” just a day after trolling the rapper by commenting on his daughter’s bikini pictures.

Right from the beginning, Game takes aim at his primary target by mimicking the “Lose Yourself” artist’s rap voice. Throughout the track, he includes different skits, one of which has what sounds like an Uber driver telling the 1992 artist that he is not a fan of Eminem’s new music. The disses don’t stop at Marshall Mathers either, as the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper also has words for 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. Aside from the vitriol, he expresses his attraction toward Saweetie and Lizzo in this loaded track.

“The Black Slim Shady” is one of 30 tracks on The Game’s new album Drillmatic Heart Vs. Mind, which was delayed multiple times this summer. Finally here, the album also features Kanye West, Roddy Ricch, the late Nipsey Hussle, French Montana, 2 Chainz, and more. This marks The Game’s first LP since 2019’s Born 2 Rap.

The Game Comments On Eminem’s Daughter’s Bikini Photos As Beef Between The Two Rappers Grow

The Game to young rappers advice

The Game is preparing for the release of his 10th studio album, Drillmatic, which drops tonight. Over the span of the last few months, Game has been keeping his name in the headlines, mainly for his criticism of being left out of the Super Bowl LVI performance with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige and Eminem, and for his beef with Eminem.

The beef started in March after The Game questioned Eminem’s relevancy in todays music and said that he’s a better rapper than the 8 Mile MC. “Eminem is Eminem, I like Eminem,” he said. “He’s one of the f*cking good MCs, great MCs. I used to think Eminem was better than me. He not, he’s not. Challenge it.”

Months later, The Game would continue his criticism of Eminem, saying “When have you ever heard Eminem in a club? When have you ever heard it in the locker room? And I’m not taking away from that, I don’t hear Eminem in the streets. I just don’t.”

Now, The Game has taken it a step further and brought Em’s 26 year old daughter Hailie into the mix as well.

Yesterday, boxer Peter Quillin shared then and now photos, including a bikini picture, of Hailie on Facebook with the caption “Eminem’s daughter Hailie, then and now. P.S. she is 26.”

The Game then commented under the post “Can she rap?”

The comment blew up, but caught the attention of many Eminem fans .One fan would respond to him saying “Yeah she can rap better than that trash you put on The Black Slim Shady. You desperate for attention bro going after girls. No wonder 50 kicked you out of G-Unit. Be glad Dre and 50 gave you a spotlight and the check still comes in for those records becayse your sh*t ain’t going gold EVER anymore.

Eminem Was Apparently Ready To Fight Suge Knight At 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” Music Video Shoot

It common knowledge that at one point Suge Knight was one of the scariest and most intimidating figures in hip hop. However, after the decline of Death Row Records and possible involvement in the deaths of 2Pac and Biggie, Knight’s reputation started to dwindle as well, making him not welcome in many of the circles he had once been in.

According to former G-Unit artist Bang ‘Em Smurf, Eminem was ready to fight Suge Knight while wearing a bulletproof vest at 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” video shoot. Smurf said during an IG live session that he had gotten a call from Sha Money XL saying that Suge was on the set even though did not formally announce that he would be there. He admitted that he was excited to meet Suge at first but due to beef between his crew and Suge’s crew, he was prepared to kill Suge if he needed to.

“Because I already knew if I blew Suge head off, I’m playing like I’m scared for my life, ’cause remember Suge had that image already, so I knew if I killed him I would’ve done like five years. That’s nothing and I would have been playing like I was scared for my life. This Suge Knight.,” Smurf explained. He woud later say “What’s poppin’?” to Suge.

Smurf went on to say how Eminem came out in a bulletproof vest in case he had to fight Suge. He says that neither 50 nor Dre was outside, so Eminem might have readied himself in order to protect 50 or Dre.

came back with the vest. Eminem was outside with them. Dre wasn’t outside. 50 wasn’t outside, but Eminem was outside. I guess they had to protect they breadwinner. Eminem put on his vest and ran back outside with us. Shout out to Eminem,” he said.

You can watch Smurf tell the story below.

What Is Eminem’s Greatest Hit From Each Of His Albums?

Eminem is gearing up for the release of his second greatest hits compilation, Curtain Call 2, which will feature 34 tracks from the past 13 years of his career. It’s a follow-up to the original Curtain Call, released in 2005, which covered the first 13 years of his career (not including his pre-Aftermath/Interscope work, which included underground collaborations with Rawkus Records and his independently-released album Infinite). Does anyone sense a pattern developing here?

But as with any project touting all of an artist’s greatest hits, Curtain Call 2‘s impending release begs the question: What exactly constitutes their “greatest” hits, anyway? In this case, we see entries such as “Berzerk,” “Godzilla,” “Lucky You,” “The Monster,” “Venom,” — and even “Walk On Water,” which is a pretty iffy selection considering its initial reception on release. Since we already know which songs Eminem considers to be his “greatest” hits — at least according to the album’s tracklist — let’s break them down by album and see which ones actually deserve that title.

2009 — Relapse

Hits: “3 a.m.,” “Beautiful,” and “Crack A Bottle” featuring 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. According to Billboard, “Crack A Bottle” is the real winner here. As the lead single from Eminem’s first “comeback” album, it broke the first-week digital sales record with 418,000 downloads, topping the Hot 100 chart. It was only his second single to do so after “Lose Yourself.”

2010 — Recovery

Hits: “Cinderella Man,” “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, “No Love” featuring Lil Wayne. “Not Afraid,” “Space Bound,” “Won’t Back Down” feat. Pink, and “You’re Never Over.” This one’s obvious. While Recovery produced the most hits in Em’s recent catalog, “Love The Way You Lie” is objectively one of Eminem’s most popular songs ever thanks to the emotive chorus penned by Skylar Grey and sung by Rihanna. It’s Em’s best-selling single, moving over 12 million copies in the US alone. It was a massive smash and led to Eminem attempting to recapture the magic with “Won’t Back Down” from this album (nah) and “The Monster” from his next album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

2013 — The Marshall Mathers LP 2

Hits: “Berzerk,” “Headlights” featuring Nate Reuss, “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, “Rap God,” and “Survival.” Speaking of, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was Eminem’s attempt to go back to basics after the critically well-received Recovery alienated some fans of his earlier work (leading to his current string of reactive records that tries to course-correct on the critical reception of its predecessors). Nevertheless, despite “Rap God” meeting those fans’ expectations, the best-received song from the album was still the Rihanna redux “The Monster,” which again peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

2017 — Revival

Hits: “Nowhere Fast,” featuring Kehlani, “River” featuring Ed Sheeran, and “Walk On Water” featuring Beyonce. As one of Eminem’s worst-received albums, it’s no surprise that this one only owns three of the records that appear on Curtain Call 2. They’re also Em’s weakest singles, dipping into the pop-ballad well that worked so well with Rihanna one too many times, with too many artists who were just bad fits in retrospect. “River” was technically the most fruitful of them, rising to No. 11 on the Hot 100 and sparking a creative partnership between the two artists that continues to produce to this day.

2018 — Kamikaze

Hits: “Fall,” “Lucky You” featuring Joyner Lucas, and “Venom.” Em’s rampaging follow-up to Revival was better received — at least by his fans — but still only produced three singles. While they were all technically “hits” on the strength of their streaming, “Lucky You” turned out to be most popular, climbing to No. 6 on the Hot 100 and launching Massachusetts rapper Joyner Lucas to a new plateau of stardom. Still, the meme-ready “Venom” is probably the single with the most lasting impact, appearing in the Sony film of the same name and becoming a go-to sound on TikTok four years later.

2020 — Music To Be Murdered By

Hits: “Darkness,” “Farewell,” “Gnat,” “Godzilla” featuring Juice WRLD, and “Higher.” As Em’s latest album, this one probably benefits from recency bias. It’s got five entries on Curtain Call 2 but in its defense, they were some of Em’s better recent singles. “Godzilla”‘s the clear standout; aside from charting the highest at No. 6 on the Hot 100, it has the benefit of a viral challenge without the drawback of a distasteful reenactment of a national tragedy. It also boosted the visibility of the late Juice WRLD, making it a bit more likable.

Curtain Call 2 is due 8/5 on Aftermath/Interscope/Shady Records.

Eminem Shares The ‘Curtain Call 2’ Tracklist Featuring 34 Of His Greatest Hits

This Friday, Eminem’s highly-anticipated second edition of the Curtain Call greatest hits series will be out. The first Curtain Call album came out in 2005 and featured modern day rap standards in “My Name Is,” “Lose Yourself,” and “The Real Slim Shady.” Now that Em has shared the tracklist for Curtain Call 2, we see that it’s a lot heavier on tracks with guest features, but is ultimately just as bombastic as a whole.

The opening track to Curtain Call 2 is his 2020 collaboration hit with Juice WRLD, “Godzilla.” The tracklist also features prominent collabs like “Walk On Water” with Beyonce, “From The D 2 The LBC” with Snoop Dogg, the Ed Sheeran-featured “River,” “The Monster” with Rihanna, and even a couple cuts from his Bad Meets Evil side project with his Detroit compatriot Royce Da 5’9.” All in all, there are 34 tracks across two discs, including the never before heard “Is This Love (‘09)” featuring 50 Cent.

Eminem Drops A Previously Unreleased Video For His, Dr. Dre, And 50 Cent’s 2009 Classic ‘Crack A Bottle’

“Crack A Bottle” was a major song for Eminem: The 2009 Dr. Dre and 50 Cent collaboration, the lead single from Relapse, was Eminem’s second career No. 1 single in the US (following “Lose Yourself” in 2002). It also got the three a 2010 Grammy win for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.

Despite all that, Eminem never actually released a video for the song. However, one was made, and now Eminem has gone into the vault to share it today for the first time ever.

The clip is seemingly free of modern enhancements, as the YouTube upload is presented in 480p quality. The visual starts by focusing on a dirty, apparently homeless person. Then we see another person, seemingly with mental issues writing on a wall and experiencing anguish. There there are characters including a tattoo artist and a bartender. None of the three rappers themselves actually appear in the video.

Especially enthusiastic fans of either Eminem, Dre, or 50 have have actually seen this video before: While it was never officially released before today, the clip appears to have leaked online back in June 2009.

Meanwhile, that era was good to Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade, as she recently discussed on her new podcast.
