As podcasting continues to grow more popular, many media and entertainment companies are starting their own podcast networks. In April of last year, Warner Music Group launched its own in-house podcasting network, Interval Presents. On Friday, N.O.R.E., and DJ EFN were proud to announce that they had struck a deal with Interval Presents to bring Drink Champs to WMG’s podcasting network.

“I’m feeling good about partnering with Interval Presents and joining the all-star team they’ve got,” N.O.R.E. said in a statement. “We’re ready to take things to the next level for us and the culture at large! Let’s go!”

According to PodNews, Through the deal, Interval Presents will have exclusive licensing rights to the audio version of the podcast on all major platforms. Drink Champs is also the latest podcast to be added to Interval Present’s roster, which also includes Rap Radar with Brian “B.Dot” Miller and Elliot Wilson, Holding Court with Eboni K. Williams, and The Last Resort with Lupita Nyong’o.

Drink Champs has been at the forefront of cultural conversations for nearly a decade and has created some of the most iconic moments at the intersection of culture and music,” said Allan Coye, GM of Interval Presents and SVP of Digital Strategy & Business Development at WMG. “They’ve built an incredible platform that we’ve admired from afar, and now we’re incredibly excited to welcome them to Interval Presents. Our collaboration will focus on further amplifying N.O.R.E. and EFN’s unique and unfiltered approach to storytelling and bringing the show to new podcast listeners.”

The next episode of Drink Champs and the first under Interval Presents is set to be released on January 27th.

Drink Champs Celebrates New Deal With Warner Music Group

It has been praised as one of the best Hip Hop podcasts, and Drink Champs is making major moves. Noreaga and DJ EFN’s conversations with the culture’s most influential figures have captivated a global audience. Since 2015, they’ve snagged interviews with the industry’s often elusive elite—including Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, and even Patti LaBelle.

Today (January 12), it was shared that Drink Champs was ushering in a new era. A press release also stated they’ve partnered with Interval Presents, Warner Music Group’s in-house podcasts network. This is a distribution partnership where Interval Presents “gained the exclusive licensing rights to the audio version of the podcast on all major podcast platforms.”

Drink Champs has also been earning its fair share of recognition, as well. They won Best Hip-Hop Platform at the BET Hip-Hop Awards last year. Recently, they were nominated for Best Music Podcast for the 2023 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.

N.O.R.E. Invites Cardi B On ‘Drink Champs’: “I Respect Her”

Cardi B hasn’t done many interviews in the past year. But if Noreaga has his way, the Bronx rapper would be appearing on Drink Champs in 2023.

The podcast cohost has officially extended an invite to Cardi to appear on a future episode of his popular podcast. NORE also revealed that the two recently had “a great conversation.” No word on what the New York rappers spoke about. But the C-N-N rapper seemed excited about their convo.

“I had a great conversation wit @iamcardib the other day,” he tweeted. “And I wanna say I respect her!!! Would love to officially invite her to drinkchamps to talk chop cheese, newports and all other greatness !!!” Cardi has achieved various accolades in 2022, including reaching over 100 million RIAA-Certified units sold.

However, fans are still awaiting the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s highly anticipated sophomore album. Cardi took to Instagram Live earlier this year to give an update on the project. “I’ve been having a lot of anxiety, because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids.”

Cardi has yet to respond to NORE’s offer. But in the meantime, the podcast host confirmed that Keith Murray will be the next legend to appear on Drink Champs. “Yes we getting Keith Murray on drinkchamps,” Nore tweeted. “In Jan when we come off the break!!!” The news comes days after Murray made headlines, claiming that he was intimate with Foxxy Brown while she dated Kurupt

“I ate her p**sy but I never f****ed her and then she was with Kurupt at the time, so we was coming out of the hotel after she gave me head and we was coming and Kurupt was coming.”

Amber Rose Says She’d Beat Blac Chyna In A Rap Battle

Amber Rose has taken her talents to the hip hop world, and she’s calling out her former BFF Blac Chyna. The Philadelphia model turned rapper stopped by Drink Champs earlier this week to dish on her new music and much more.

During the interview, famed battle rapper Murda Mook flexed his rap skills, urging Amber to ask, “Can you teach me.” Rose went on to share her desire to battle rap against someone. Drink Champs cohost NORE chimed in, suggesting that Amber go up against Blac Chyna in a rap battle. However, Amber was sure of her ability to win. She responded to NORE’s proposition with, “she’ll lose.”

Both Amber and Chyna have turned their socialite status into a budding rap career. Rose dropped her Manny Fresh produced record “GYOH” back in June to mixed reviews. As for Chyna, she’s been attempting to break onto the music scene since 2020. Her latest record, “Can’t See Me” was also met with mixed reviews from fans.

The Philly native and the DC bred model were inseparable at one point in their career. But children, marriages and career changes seemingly brought a bit of distance between the friends. Rumors also began to swirl back in 2018 that the two were feuding after Chyna ditched attending Amber’s annual Sl**walk in favor of going to the BET Hip Hop Awards instead.

Neither of the ladies confirmed the beef. But after Chyna was a no show at the slut walk, Amber unfollowed her on Instagram. No word on where the pair stands as friends today. But their social media interaction and public outings are a far cry from their early days in Hollywood together.

Back in 2020, Amber posted a sweet tribute to the Rob & Chyna star via Instagram. “We are always there for each other through thick and thin no matter what people say about us,” Rose wrote. “We’re lovers, we’re fighters and we’re extremely strong women.” Who do you think would win a battle rap session?

Amber Rose Checks Murda Mook For Comments Criticizing Women With “No Talent”

Regardless of your thoughts on Amber Rose, it’s undeniable that she’s continuing to make a name for herself in the industry.

Murda Mook, however, wasn’t shy in sharing his thoughts on women with “no talent” getting famous. Rose was quick to take exception.

The interaction took place on the set of Drink Champs, where the pair appeared along with Loaded Lux on Sunday (December 25).

“Think about it, having no talent that’s the new talent / I saw a b*tch on red carpet and I said ‘tell me what you do’ / She said, ‘I’m pretty, I pierced my cl*t, my t*tties, my belly button too / I twerk for the ‘Gram, my videos get a hella bunch of views,” the “100 Dollar Bill” rapper says in an impromptu freestyle.

Evidently, the TV personality wasn’t here for the comments. Rose subsequently challenged the Harlem native’s thinking, asking him if there’s a problem with “untalented” women being famous. “But who do you blame for that? Is it the girls’ problem or the consumer?” she asks.

“Let’s say, me, Kim Kardashian, Jada, Ari[ana].. it should never be a conversation amongst men because it’s like, you have to then blame the consumer, right? Because these girls, us, are known as not having talent, but like, we make a lot of money,” the 39-year-old continues afterwards.

Furthermore, Rose went on to challenge the Harlem rapper for his use of belittling terms aimed at women. “Don’t hate the b*tch, hate the consumer. You’re observing a b*tch making money because she’s pretty and twerking. Let the b*tch twerk and make her f*cking money,” she says in the clip below.

Earlier this year, the social media personality dropped her first of four singles in 2022. Aptly-titled “GYHO,” short for “Get Your Hoe On,” the track showcases her embrace of being sexually active. Although it wasn’t generally well-received among rap fans on social media, the song and her debate with Mook certainly fit her sex-positive brand.

All in all, the back-and-forth appeared to simply be a healthy debate for the most part. Check out the interview in its entirety down below.

Finally, what are your thoughts on Mook’s comments? Sound off in the comments below. As always, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates.
