Former president Donald J. Trump has been found guilty of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.

Today, a New York jury finally reached a verdict in former U.S. President Donald Trump’s trial, which began in April. He pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection to a hush-money scheme, but the jury found him guilty. He’s now the first president in U.S. history to be convicted of a felony.
The verdict was reached following roughly 9.5 hours of jury deliberation, which began yesterday (May 29). Reportedly, Trump stared straight ahead motionless while the verdict was read aloud in the courtroom. He later turned to face the jury as each member individually confirmed it.
Judge Juan Merchan thanked the jury, sharing plans to thank them individually later, though he can’t discuss information related to the case. “You gave this matter the attention it deserved, and I want to thank you for that,” he said. Trump’s attorney then Todd Blanche motioned for an acquittal after the jury left the room, which was denied. His sentencing has been scheduled for July 11.
“This was a disgrace,” Trump said following the verdict. “This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt.” What do you think of Donald Trump being found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records? Recently, Donald Trump held a presidential rally in NYC, where he was joined onstage by Brooklyn-based rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow. Sheff G had nothing but nice things to say about the former U.S. President. “One thing I wanna say,” he began. “They always gonna whisper your accomplishments and shout your failures. Trump gonna shout the wins for all of us.” Sleepy Hallow didn’t say much as he stood nearby, though he did approach the microphone briefly to say “Make America great again.”
The unexpected collab left many fans confused, and some angry. Peter Rosenberg, for example, recently shared his take on the endorsement on Ebro in the Morning. According to him, they should be pulled from Hot 97’s Summer Jam lineup because of it. He didn’t hesitate to channel his inner “Karen” and tell his higher-ups that, either.
In a clip from the episode, Rosenberg explains that the rally appeared to be a “big joke” to Sleepy Hallow, who he claims “laughed through” his entire endorsement. Regardless, he’s not giving him a pass. In fact, that made it somewhat worse in his eyes, as he suggests it indicates he’s not taking the issue seriously. “He could barely hold himself together from laughing,” he said. “What kind of endorsement is that?”
Rosenberg went on to claim that he’s asked a journalist friend of his to dig into why and how the appearance came about in the first place. Though there have long been rumors that Donald Trump used the n-word, an ex-producer of “The Apprentice” is now categorically asserting that he did. Bill Pruitt, who produced the first season of the popular NBC show in 2004 and continued to work on it for many years thereafter, recently wrote an essay on Slate in which he claims the former president used the epithet in reference to a Black participant. He asserts that Trump used the n-word when thinking of the first-season finalists. The finalists were Kwame Jackson, the runner-up, and Bill Rancic, who won the competition in 2004.
According to Pruitt’s account of the event, Jay Bienstock, the showrunner of “Apprentice,” Carolyn Kepcher, who oversaw Trump’s hospitality divisions at the time, and Pruitt himself got together to talk about the last two men, which Pruitt maintains was a recorded moment. He claims that this exchange was intended to be captured on camera to precede Trump’s final choice. The team informed Trump about their choices. It is alleged that he recoiled at the idea that Kwame ought to be given priority.
According to Pruitt, when Kepcher said, “I think Kwame would be a great addition to the organization,” Trump supposedly frowned in response. According to Pruitt, after several issues, Trump questioned Kwame about why he hadn’t fired Omarosa. Kwame’s staff responded by claiming Kwame lacked the authority to do so. Then Trump allegedly said, “Yeah, but, I mean, would America buy a n***** winning?” Pruitt believes that when after Trump said this, he winced more and more. He allegedly gave the impression that he was serious about not wanting Kwame to win. Pruitt also claims that Kepcher became pale after hearing this. After that, Bienstock is said to have shifted the conversation’s focus to George Ross, one of Trump’s lawyers, who was also purportedly there.
Following that, according to Pruitt, no one acknowledged what Trump had said. Moreover, the purportedly recorded moment and other odious things Trump had allegedly said while filming were never released. There is no evidence to support Trump’s long-standing denial that he ever said it. There have been no comments from those involved outside of Pruitt. Overall, the alleged Donald Trump n-word video may still be out there.
Robert De Niro is no stranger to sparing with Trump supporters. Outside the Manhattan courtroom where Donald Trump is on trial in his hush-money case, President Joe Biden’s campaign had a news conference. Actor Robert De Niro and two law enforcement officials who protected the Capitol from the Jan. 6, 2021, mob warned of the risks associated with re-electing the former president. “The Twin Towers fell just over here, just over there. This part of the city was like a ghost town, but we vowed we would not allow terrorists to change our way of life. … I love this city. I don’t want to destroy it. Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country, and eventually he can destroy the world,” De Niro said.
The legendary actor continued, “I don’t mean to scare you. No, no, wait — maybe I do mean to scare you If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted. And elections — forget about it. That’s over, that’s done. If he gets in, I can tell you right now, he will never leave.”
Robert De Niro Has War Of Words With Trump Supporters
On his way back to his car following the press conference, De Niro got into an altercation with some pro-Trump demonstrators who screamed at him that he’s a “little punk,” a “paid sell-out” to the Democratic National Committee, a “wannabe,” and “nobody.” De Niro did not back down. “You’re not going to intimidate,” De Niro replied. “That’s what Trump does. … We are going to fight back. We’re trying to be gentlemen in this world, the Democrats. You are gangsters. You are gangsters!” A protester yelled, “You’re washed up,” to which De Niro swiftly replied, “F— you.”
Additionally, the Trump team held a press conference where they ridiculed the Biden campaign for hiring De Niro. Karoline Leavitt, the spokeswoman, attacked “elitist out-of-touch Hollywood actors like Robert De Niro who have no idea the real problems that people in this city and across this country are facing.” Furthermore, a new advertisement starring Robert De Niro was unveiled by the Biden campaign on Friday and will be shown on television and internet platforms in states that are considered battlegrounds. Additionally, De Niro was nominated for an Oscar this year for his work on Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Overall, Robert De Niro isn’t backing down to anyone.
Amber Rose has recently come under hot water due to her recent endorsement of Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. This endorsement marks a significant departure from her previous criticisms of Trump. Furthermore, it has sparked a heated response from her followers and the public. Known for her strong advocacy for women’s rights and anti-racism, people have found it shocking that Amber would support a man who goes against everything she has been fighting for. She’s not backing down, however, and has continued to defend her choice to support Trump.
On May 20, 2024, Amber Rose posted a photo on Instagram with former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump, captioning it: “Trump 2024, along with three US flag emojis.” The photo immediately prompted backlash. Critics of the photo and Rose’s stand were quick to point out the apparent hypocrisy, especially given Trump’s history with women’s rights and issues related to racism. They also pointed out that Trump had a history of misogynistic statements and policies that have been harmful to the causes she claims to support.
Not to mention, Amber Rose herself has criticized Trump in the past. In a 2016 interview with The Cut, she labeled Trump an “idiot.” Moreover, she stated that she had hoped he would not be president. “He’s a f*cking idiot,” she said. “He’s so weird. I really hope he’s not president.” Similarly, some of Amber Rose’s tweets, where she was criticizing Trump, have resurfaced. In these tweets, she also likened Trump to trash and called him a sexual predator. This past condemnation makes her recent endorsement even more perplexing to many of her fans.
What Amber Rose Stands For
Amber Rose is quite known for her advocacy for certain causes. These include: feminism and women’s rights, as well as the LGBTQ+ community, and anti-racism. She has organized numerous “SlutWalk” marches, which have helped raise awareness on ending rape culture. She has also been a vocal advocate for racial equality. As a mixed-race and bisexual woman, Amber has stood for these causes throughout the years. So what’s changed all of a sudden?
Following Amber Rose’s post, fans and critics have highlighted that Trump stands against everything she has worked for. Some fans noted Trump’s involvement in appointing Supreme Court justices who contributed to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a landmark decision that protected women’s reproductive rights. This decision has been seen as a significant setback for women’s rights in the U.S. Former President Donald Trump has also garnered significant support within predominantly white and conservative Christian communities. Additionally, he has a history of racially insensitive remarks and policies that are harmful to BIPOC Americans.
Backlash Following Amber Rose’s Sudden Support Of Trump
Notably, Trump has also been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women, and Amber Rose is well aware of this. After all, she has also labeled him a sexual predator. Therefore, her outright support for him is even more controversial. Many have expressed disappointment and disbelief, with some suggesting that her endorsement undermines her previous work, as well as her public stance on women’s issues.
Response To The Backlash
In response to the backlash, Amber Rose commented under a post from The Shade Room. She argued that people should do their research, and suggested that Trump offers a more reasonable stance on certain issues, compared to other political figures. She also defended her position by claiming she would always put women first. “Lmaooo yall think Biden cares about black ppl??? Sad. Do ur research. I did. I’ll ALWAYS put women first… Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion. Stop being brainwashed cuz WE’RE ppl of color. Make your own decisions.”
Her response has only fanned the flames of criticism even more. In response to the claims that Trump is anti-LGBTQ, Amber Rose posted a 1998 video of Trump claiming to be “all for guys that like men.” However, this has continued to rake in more criticism. Amber Rose is being accused of grasping at straws, especially since Trump has been vocally against most, if not all of what she stands for.
Amber Rose is still catching a lot of heat for her endorsement of Donald Trump for president, which many fans feel goes against her previous values and statements. Moreover, celebrities commenting on political matters has never been a scarcity, but it feels like 2024 is one of the most divisive years when it comes to this. Regardless, she continued to rally against backlash over her support by bringing up two specific clips in a new Instagram post. One is a 1998 clip of Trump remarking on how he doesn’t really mind same-sex marriage, and the other is a 2008 debate clip of Joe Biden opposing it.
“I’ll just leave this here watch till the end…” Amber Rose captioned her post. “For all the LGBTQ+ people that think after decades of allyship I would ever hate you! [scared face emoji] Stop believing the propaganda. They are brainwashing you. Start having bigger conversations instead of staying on one side of the fence. Ur blind over there. I literally grew up in the Philly/NYC ballroom scene. Most of my favorite people in the world are gay and trans. People that truly know me know that! Please do your research and stop just making decisions based off what other people think. Be a free thinker -Muva.”
Furthermore, this was one of Amber Rose’s previous responses to the negative reaction to her Donald Trump endorsement. “Lmaooo y’all think Biden cares about black ppl???” she wrote on Instagram. “Sad. Do your research. I did. I’ll always put women first. Y’all want biological men in women’s sports. Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion. Stop being brainwashed, cuz WE’RE ppl of color. Make your own decisions.”
Meanwhile, Amber Rose was also in the headlines recently for speaking on her “date” with Chris Rock. “I was in New York, and I’m like, ‘Yo! Let’s go meet for coffee,’” she told Entertainment Tonight. “We met for coffee, we talked some crap to each other, [and] he made me laugh ’cause he’s hilarious. Probably why I never posted like ‘Hey, me and Chris Rock are getting coffee’ because I just didn’t want that narrative. I’m gonna value my friendship and just leave it at that. And then paparazzi caught us but we were not holding hands and we were obviously very separate and it just becomes very unfair sometimes.”
Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow are no strangers to controversy. The Brooklyn rappers were indicted on conspiracy charges in 2023, and subject to an intense, lengthy trial. Now, they’re cozying up to the former President of the United States. What a difference a year makes. Donald Trump recently held a presidential rally in New York City, and he decided to bring out Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow to vouch for his character. It’s a curious choice, admittedly, but a fascinating one nonetheless.
In footage posted by No Jumper, Trump can be seen introducing the drill stars. “Here as well is rapper Sheff G… and rapper Sleepy Hallow,” he yells to the audience. Sheff G then walks onstage, and quickly voices support for President Trump. “One thing I wanna say,” he asserts. “They always gonna whisper your accomplishments and shout your failures. Trump gonna shout the wins for all of us.” The rapper then echoes Trump’s slogan to an enthused crowd. “Make American great again!” Sleepy Hallow is present during Sheff G’s remarks but doesn’t get a chance to make any of his own.
Sheff G Endorsed The “Make American Great Again” Slogan
Sheff G has been on a mission to reclaim his career momentum after being released from prison in April. The rapper recently sat down for a profile with Complex, and claimed that he’ll transcend the drill scene that he helped pioneer in the previous decade. “I’m leaving stepping stones for everybody that’s coming up and I’m just motivating the crowd,” he posited. “So if you standing with me, you know you’re sturdy, and that’s how everybody else should feel… I’m going to prove it through everything I’m doing. They know what’s going on. They got to know what’s going on.”
This is not the first time Donald Trump has brought a rapper onstage to endorse his presidential run. He famously brought out Lil Pump during a 2020 rally in the rapper’s home state. The prestigious Lil Pump endorsement was overshadowed, though, because Trump messed up his name. “Speaking of sound, music and other things, one of the big superstars of the world, Little Pimp,” he told the Florida crowd. “There he is.” Pump took the mistake in stride and later donned a MAGA hat on stage. For better or for worse, Sheff and Sleepy Hallow’s appearance at the New York rally was nowhere near as memorable.
Charlamagne Tha God is someone who has never shied away from having political conversations on his show, The Breakfast Club. Overall, he has done interviews with some massive figures. For instance, he once interviewed Hillary Clinton and even Joe Biden. Throughout the years, the radio host has been adamant about his distaste for Donald Trump. He has even called the former President a threat to democracy as we know it.
However, Charlamagne has refused to give an endorsement to President Joe Biden ahead of the election. While he has stated that he will vote Democrat, he isn’t exactly excited about it. He feels that Biden is not a good candidate and that a lot of Americans are being held hostage in this situation. During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Charlamagne was pressed about this position. As one of the hosts explained, Charlamagne has a responsibility to get people excited to vote considering his large platform.
Fundamentally, Charlamagne disagrees with that sentiment. In his mind, it is up to the politicians to be worth voting for. It is certainly a great point. At the end of the day, people will only vote if they feel energized. That said, Charlamagne did say that Trump was a threat to democracy and by that statement alone, he is implying you should vote for the other side. If you thought last election was polarizing, this next one is shaping up to be worse.
Let us know what you think of this take from Charlamagne Tha God, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that it is an issue for him to be using this rhetoric considering his large platform? Or do you think he’s right that it is up to the politicians to say something useful?
