Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures 1” Returns To Apple Music With New Distributor

Earlier today, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new joint album Vultures 1 was removed from Apple Music due to distribution issues. The album arrived via FUGA, which later wanted the album removed. “A long-standing FUGA client delivered the album Vultures 1 through the platform’s automated processes, violating our service agreement,” a spokesperson told Billboard today. “Therefore, FUGA is actively working with its DSP partners and the client to remove VULTURES 1 from our systems.”

Now, the album has found a new distributor, Label Engine. The company put out the project’s first two singles, which led to confusion when the full album arrived via FUGA. Luckily, however, this means that the album is back on Apple Music again for fans to stream.

Vultures 1 Moves To Label Engine

These are far from the only hiccups Ye has dealt with following the release of Vultures 1, however. Following the hitmaker’s Chicago listening party, Ozzy Osbourne took to Twitter to accuse him of sampling Black Sabbath without permission. “@kanyewest ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘WAR PIG’ FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!” he wrote.

Donna Summer’s estate later called Kanye out for alleged “copyright infringement” for his track “GOOD (DON’T DIE),” again insisting he was denied permission. Either way, the album continues to be a success among fans. What do you think of Vultures 1 returning to Apple Music? What about it moving to Label Engine? Are you glad you can stream it on Apple Music again? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep ane ye on HNHH for more updates.

Megan Thee Stallion Inks Distribution Deal With Warner Music Group: Report

Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly agreed on a distribution deal with Warner Music Group, according to Billboard. The move comes after she was able to reach a confidential settlement with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, after years of legal disputes with the company.

Under the new contract, Megan will likely retain ownership of her masters, as is usual for deals of its kind. The more favorable deal represents increased leverage for Megan as she becomes a bigger artist.

Megan previously discussed her excitement about being an independent artist back in October on Instagram Live. “This part of my album is very much so funded by Megan because we’re trying to get off… Y’all know what’s the tea. But I have no label right now,” she said at the time. “And we’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf*cking Hot Girl Productions! The next sh*t y’all about to see is all straight from Megan’s brain and Megan Thee Stallion’s wallet. We are in my pockets, hotties, so let’s do our big one.

She added: “I’m so excited to be doing something for the first time independent since it was just me and my mama. So excited ’cause it’s really just me this go-round until we sign to a new label. But I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself… So hotties, do your f**king big one ’cause it’s just us.” While Megan hasn’t provided many updates in the time since, perhaps this new deal will spark the beginning of more news on her third studio album. Be on the lookout for further updates on new music from Megan on HotNewHipHop.

Meek Mill Seeking Major Distributor For “Dream Chaser Records”

Meek Mill needs help, and though fans might not be able to do much, they can annoy major labels as much as possible to complete the mission. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter to ask for assistance in taking his endeavors, career, and artistic oversight to new heights. “Looking for major distribution for ‘DREAM CHASER RECORDS’ asap!” the Philly MC expressed on the social media platform on Thursday (November 2). What’s more is that he actually has a couple of options if he wanted to get in touch with the game to find a loophole around this. Furthermore, that’s because if the Roc Nation affiliate is taking to Twitter for this, maybe he hasn’t had much luck by traditional means.

As such, perhaps his good friend and frequent collaborator Rick Ross, who’s dropping a collab album with him very soon, could help. After all, Rozay offered to distribute Kanye West’s new album and seemed very open to the idea. Of course, that comes with a lot of public baggage due to Ye’s controversial statements and behavior as of late, but what better way to get press than to ruffle some feathers? Overall, it stands to reason that a partnership between Dream Chasers and Maybach Music Group would be a fitting and fruitful venture for Meek Mill.

Meek Mill Issues A Call For A Major Distributor To Help Dream Chasers

Not only that, but this is especially relevant considering the major developments and strides that he’s made in his career recently. For example, Meek Mill recently announced that authorities officially and fully cleared his criminal record, overcoming a tumultuous and far too cumbersome part of his life and career that is too deep to sum up quickly. In addition, he also revealed that his next album will be a sequel to Championships, establishing more legacy within his career. Hopefully the 36-year-old is able to carry out his goals with or without this major distribution.

Meanwhile, it’s undeniable that it would certainly be a boost. We don’t know exactly what this is for, though; is it for his own projects or does he want stronger resources to uplift his own artists? Either way, both goals are attainable at the same time. For more news and the latest updates on Meek Mill, stay logged into HNHH.

Kanye West’s New Album Distribution Might Become Rick Ross’ Responsibility

The last time Kanye West attempted to roll out an album, the process was nothing short of tumultuous. Of course, at this point, the rapper’s fanbase has become accustomed to regular delays and cancellations from their favourite artist, who’s been hinting at something cooking up over the past few months. He and Ty Dolla Sign have reportedly been planning for a massive performance in Italy, though that was postponed earlier this week. Amid that news, reports of West having a difficult time finding a distributor for his next LP have been spreading rapidly.

Even with all the trouble he’s landed himself in over his comments on the Jewish community, the 46-year-old still has friends willing to stick their neck out for him. Among them is Rick Ross, who publicly expressed an interest in signing West to his Maybach Music Group label. “Imagine if Ye came and allowed MMG to distribute his new project,” the “Purple Lamborghini” hitmaker reflected.

Rozay Seeks to Help Kanye West Release His Music

“Imagine that. What’s your favorite Rick Ross, Ye collab? Imagine that. Imagine the artistic drive. And I got some amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand. Amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand! Let’s speak,” Ross said in a video on his Instagram Story earlier this week. As the Southern superstar also pointed out, he and West have put out some incredible collaborations over the years, including “Devil in a New Dress” and “Monster” from the fashion designer’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy LP.

Considering all the controversy Kanye West has found himself wrapped up in throughout his career, we’re not exactly surprised that he’s having so much difficulty finding a willing distributor for his next project – no matter how highly anticipated it is. Reflect on some of the father of four’s most memorable (but not entirely flattering) moments in the spotlight at the link below. What’s your favourite collaboration between Ye and Rozay? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Kanye West And Ty Dolla Sign Shopping For Distribution As They Tease New Album

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are teaming up to give fans something great. Ty Dolla $ign recently debuted a new version of Kanye’s and Nicki Minaj’s collab for “New Body,” updating the song and creating buzz surrounding his upcoming album with Ye. The highly anticipated track was first previewed in Switzerland last month, and fans can hardly wait now that it’s circulating the internet again. The song was supposed to appear on Kanye’s 2019 album Yandhi, however it never dropped. As Nicki Minaj previously has stated in previous interviews, her and Kanye didn’t see eye to eye when Ye made his pivot into religious music and wanted Nicki to re-record her verse. However, now that new music from Ye is on the way, and Ty Dolla $ign has been teasing it, we may get that track sooner than later.

Now, Dolla $ign and Kanye are reportedly hunting for a distribution partner for their upcoming collaborative album. According to sources close to the project, Billboard reports that the duo is currently weighing five different offers from potential distributors. A decision regarding the partnership is expected to be made by West soon. The anticipation surrounding this musical endeavor is definitely high. Their joint album was originally slated for release on Friday, October 13. However it’s been pushed back and is now expected to drop in the upcoming weeks.

Kanye And Ty Dolla $ign Have Been Teasing The Album

Despite the album’s apparently non-controversial lyrical content, several label executives have already declined the opportunity to distribute the project. This is allegedly due to the antisemitic remarks Kanye West began making around the same date one year ago today. However, industry insiders have revealed that it may feature some of Kanye West’s best work in years. As far as Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, the two have musical synergy for sure. In fact, they have history that goes back years. For example, their most recent collaboration was “Junya Pt 2” on Ye’s 2021 album, Donda. Moreover, their previous joint efforts include Ty Dolla $ign’s “Ego Death” in 2020 and West’s tracks “Everything We Need” in 2019, “Real Friends” in 2016, and “Only One” in 2014.

The timing of the album’s release, in the midst of a regionally significant crisis, presents a unique challenge. For both the artists and potential distributors. The question of how the music will be received, especially against the backdrop of a politically charged atmosphere, remains a topic of industry debate. As the artists and potential distributors navigate this challenging terrain, they are faced with the conflict. The task of balancing artistic expression with sensitivity to the global issues that have captured headlines. Let us know if you’re ready for new Dolla $ign and Kanye below!

Boosie Badazz Slams Empire Records For Not Paying Him For Yung Bleu

Boosie Badazz slammed Empire Records on Instagram Live, Saturday, accusing the label of failing to pay him for signing his artist Yung Bleu. Boosie has a distribution deal with Empire Records.

“You wouldn’t play with me like this, bro,” Boosie began, before demanding a meeting. “Pay me my fuckin’ money, bro. Y’all forged my fuckin’ signature, bro. Now you and all parties involved will receive paperwork. If not Monday, then this Tuesday, it’s just this, okay? Now you all hit back. Now. You wanna hit back now? What up, bro?” Check out the full clip below.

It’s far from the first time Boosie has voiced his frustration with Empire. He previously threatened to take them to court following Bleu’s 2019 departure from Boosie’s Vandross Music Group. He’s clarified that he has no issue with Bleu himself in the situation.

Bleu addressed the contractual dispute during an interview with HipHopDX in 2020. “I came to Boosie and told him I still wanted to rock with the brand but not signed to Columbia no more,” he explained at the time. “I just wanted to rock independently, without a major label and Boosie was cool with it. He just wanted me to give him his profit and participation on the albums that I had left with him and I did.”

Bleu continued: “I was going to do that either way, whether we had a contract or not, because I had albums still left with him and he ain’t have to let me go. He ain’t have to let me go free and go sign a deal, you feel me? But he did. I respect the man and we got a different type of relationship. I’m still Bad Azz, though. I’m Bad Azz for life.”

Snoop Dogg Lands Deal To Release New Albums & Distribute Death Row Catalog

Snoop Dogg just struck a deal with former Apple executive Larry Jackson to release two new solo albums and distribute Death Row’s iconic catalog. Moreover, Jackson was Apple Music’s Global Creative Director, who’s gotten mentions from Kanye West, Drake, and many more. Recently, he started a new music company called gamma and partnered with a few other big names. In fact, gamma was behind the catalog’s availability on TikTok, following some removals from streaming services after years of shoddy artist payouts. Furthermore, Death Row’s discography contains classics like Snoop’s own Doggystyle, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, and Tupac’s All Eyez On Me.

To elaborate, gamma also has backing from A24, Todd Boehly’s Eldridge, and Apple themselves. Also, they reportedly have $1 billion in capital. Billboard described the company as “a one-stop-shop media company that creates, distributes, and markets content, from music to podcasts to films, offering resources and guidance to artists who want to build their brands and expand beyond music.” After the Long Beach MC’s ownership of Death Row, this is certainly an unclear but exciting step nonetheless. In addition, Billboard reported that the longtime partnership will revert rights back to the rapper after they “work together to enrich the value of the IP.”

Snoop Dogg’s New Deal: New Albums, Death Row Distribution, And More

Other artists that jumped onto Jackson’s new venture include Usher and Rick Ross. Furthermore, gamma aims to rival TikTok as a hub for music discovery and to create generational wealth and uplift culture for Black artists, making sure they can retain rights to their work. “It made sense for two Black men to come together to change the face of the industry,” Snoop expressed to Bloomberg concerning the team-up. “I didn’t want to partner with a regular company because they respect me and fear me so much, they wouldn’t wanna give me ideas.”

Perhaps one of these new Snoop albums will be Missionary, his previously announced collab with Dr. Dre. However, more exciting and potentially earth-shaking news surrounded the launch of gamma. Reportedly, Larry Jackson also reached out to Frank Ocean about his new company, according to Bloomberg. However, he didn’t say they were working on a specific project, so it’s just another dash of hope for one of the industry’s most elusive yet sought-after voices. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Snoop Dogg and this new deal.
