Quincy Brown posted a throwback photo on November 15. The actor can be seen next to his mother, Kim Porter, while sitting in a toy car. “I miss you every day,” he wrote next to a heart emoji. The sincerity of the post checks out, especially with regards to Porter. It was the mention of Al B. Sure, however, that turned the heads of fans. The first part of the caption reads: “Here’s a rare photo of my with my mom and dad.” Seemingly harmless, until one realizes that Al B. Sure is nowhere to be found in the pic. The tensions between Quincy Brown and Al B. Sure have been particularly high in 2024. In January, Al B. Sure! posted a cryptic message on Instagram alluding to Diddy’s parenting. “Nothing breaks a dad more than seeing his love for his kids turned into a weapon against him,” he wrote. The comment section then filled with users criticizing Sure for being a bad father himself. Shyne served a decade in prison for a club shooting that involved the Bad Boy founder. The rapper maintained that he took the fall for his label boss, but others feel as though he’s shirked responsibility for what he did. Funkmaster Flex is one of these people. The legendary DJ denied Shyne’s innocence after learning about the doc, and the latter called him a “liar.”

Let’s delve into Funkmaster Flex’s comments for context. The DJ absolutely went off in October, claiming that Shyne is pawning the blame for the shooting off on Diddy. “I love you bro,” Flex said on Hot 97. “And I know what you’ve been though, but you’re a liar. You’re a stone-cold faced liar, Shyne.” The DJ took it a step further by labeling the rapper a “punk.” He claimed Diddy actually stepped in to protect him during the shooting. “Puff had to keep people off of you from beating you to death,” Flex asserted. Shyne Claimed Flex Has Lied About Other Rappers

He feels Flex is an unreliable source. “He said terrible things about JAY-Z, he said terrible things about Tupac,” he noted. “It doesn’t surprise me.” Shyne then made reference to Nas’ song “Purple” from 2002’s The Lost Tapes. In the song, Nas voices disdain for Diddy and his decision to push responsibility for the club shooting onto someone else. Shyne then rap Nas’ lyrics for the reporter: “The whole city is mine, prettiest Don. I don’t like the way P. Diddy did Shyne with different lawyers. Why it’s mentioned in my rhymes? F*** it, just an intro.”

Diddy Rep Responds to Shyne Stating He Took the Fall: ‘These Claims are Unequivocally False’

Shyne is letting it all fly when it comes to Diddy. Appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show, Shyne stated he thinks Diddy is the devil and highlighted what he thinks caused their relationship to break down.

This isn’t the first time Shyne has spoken out about Diddy. Back in September, he also levied the “destroyed my life” claim.

“I was defending him and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me,” Shyne said. “He pretty much sent me to prison. That is the context by which you must always describe that relationship.

“Let us not lose sight of what they cold heart facts are. This is not someone I vacationed with and enjoyed a great intimate relationship of brotherhood. This is someone who destroyed my life and who I forgave and for the better interest of Belize, because he was in a position at the time to give scholarships and invest, I would not deny the attempt of investment to Belize.”

Now, Diddy and his team have had enough. Reaching out to TMZ, a rep for the jailed mogul said: “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”

The rep also said, “Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the 1999 Club New York incident and has consistently maintained his innocence. He cannot accept or condone any characterization of his actions as ‘demonic’ or ‘malicious.’”

But they weren’t done, “Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations. Mr. Combs trusts that responsible journalism will weigh both the established legal outcomes and Mr. Combs’ positive, longstanding support for those he has worked with.”

Stevie J has always been in Diddy’s corner. He was a core member of Diddy’s roster of producers, known as the Hitmen, and he has urged the public to go easy on the mogul in light of recent allegations. It hasn’t been easy to find Diddy supporters in 2024, but Stevie J is on the short list. Well, he was. The producer appeared in the recent TMZ documentary The Downfall of Diddy, and admitted that he was shocked by the video of his friend assaulting Cassie.

Stevie J told TMZ boss Harvey Levin that he met up with Diddy shortly after the video surfaced online. He claimed to have had a heart-to-heart conversation with the Bad Boy founder. “It was a real emotional moment,” Stevie J recalled. “He was hurt that that video came out, it crushed him.” The producer stated that Diddy’s reasoning for the incident was very similar to the reasons given in Diddy’s now-infamous IG apology video. “He was in a dark place in his life,” Stevie J asserted. “He was just doing a lot of drugs and it was dark for him.”

The “dark place” angle is nothing new for those following the case. The claim that Diddy was on drugs at the time of the assault is, however. While it’s probably not a shock to consider the notion of Diddy being on various drugs, Stevie J claims that the mogul confirmed this behind closed doors. Another revelation during the TMZ interview came about when Levin asked about Diddy’s reaction to the video. Instead of expressing regret for what he did, Stevie claimed that the mogul was concerned about who was going to see it.

“He was like, ‘Yo my daughter’s and my mom gotta see this,’” Stevie J recounted. “And I was like, yeah, your friends gotta see it too.” Levin questioned Diddy’s thought process, especially when the producer noted that Diddy hated to “relive” the moment. Stevie J balked at the notion that the mogul’s reaction was a selfish one, however. “Who wants to see themselves beating on a girl,” he asserted. “I think that would hurt all of us.” Diddy is currently awaiting trial for racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

Diddy Accuser Refiles Lawsuit Under Real Name After ‘Jane Doe’ Status Denied

A woman accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs of assault has refiled her lawsuit under her real name, Candice McCrary, following a judge’s decision that prevented her from proceeding anonymously as “Jane Doe.” On Wednesday, McCrary formally submitted her case as Candice McCrary v. Sean Combs, alleging that Combs assaulted her in 2004 under coercive and threatening circumstances.

According to the lawsuit, McCrary attended a party at a hotel suite where guests mingled in a relaxed environment with drinks and music. But while socializing, she and a friend were allegedly escorted away from the main party by a man she believed was security. As they were led to a separate room, McCrary became suspicious when the man reportedly told her, “You know what you are here for.”

The allegations detail that Combs then directed his attention toward McCrary, allegedly forcing her to undress under threats of violence. The lawsuit claims Combs proceeded to assault her, ignoring her pleas to stop.

The refiled lawsuit comes amidst Combs’s ongoing legal troubles. On September 16, 2024, he was arrested in Manhattan by U.S. Homeland Security on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering, following a grand jury indictment. Combs pleaded not guilty during a September 17 court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky, who denied him bail. His legal team later proposed a $50 million bond, but U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. also denied the request, citing concerns about witness safety.

Combs remains in jail as investigations into his case continue.

This past September, Meek Mill wanted his name cleared. Hitting X offered $100,000 to an investigative team to find evidence linking him to Diddy’s legal troubles. The message came in response to frequent accusations and jokes flying across social media.

Shyne Admits He Learned From Diddy Despite Believing He Was “The Devil”

Shyne has one of the most infamous careers in all of hip hop. He was pegged to be Bad Boy’s next big star after the death of Biggie in 1997. He was Diddy’s protege, until a fateful shooting in a nightclub led to his arrest. Shyne spent a decade in prison for assault, and many felt he took the fall for an incident that that was perpetrated by Diddy. The Bad Boy mogul’s reputation could not be worse at the moment, so Shyne took the opportunity to discuss his relationship with Diddy during a recent appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Shyne admitted to having conflicted feelings about Diddy. He acknowledged the important lessons he learned while under Diddy’s wing in the late 90s. “I learned a lot, as far as being an entrepreneur,” the rapper explained. “As far as being a disrupter, a trailblazer. I got exactly what I went to the university of Bad Boy [for], with Diddy as professor, when it comes to entertainment.” Shyne also credited Diddy in terms of establishing a strong work ethic. The rapper-turned-politician has been able to translate said work ethic to his role as the leader of the Belize United Democratic Party.

There is, of course, the flip side of the coin. Shyne credits his faith, and his second career as a politician in his native Belize, as the reasons why he was able to get out of this negative headspace. The rapper no longer harbors negative feelings for what Diddy did to him. Shyne’s timing could not be better. He is the star of the new documentary series The Honorable Shyne, which not only details his political career but his controversial past with Diddy. At one point I even felt like a “lord that was trapped,” he wrote on Instagram. “Reflection led me to becoming more “Hood pope” the enlightened one but I found balance in just being “Darold.” So far, the project has had some good reception online from fans and critics alike. It’s leading to some interviews already too, with FERG popping into The Breakfast Club recently to talk about it.

However, the New York native isn’t necessarily making headlines for his insight on the project. Instead, his comments about Diddy are becoming the story from this sit-down. According to AllHipHop, the music mogul came up in the conversation and it’s ruffling some fans’ feathers. It’s worth noting that Ferg and Diddy have a close relationship dating back to the former’s childhood. They crossed paths thanks to FERG’s late father designing the Bad Boy Records logo.
