Ryan Garcia Breaks Down Into Tears Discussing God In An Emotional TikTok

Ryan Garcia broke down into tears in a candid post on TikTok, on Monday afternoon, while discussing his fan base and his relationship with God. Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” plays in the background of the clip. The video comes ahead of his fight with Devin Haney.

“I love you guys. I hope you feel my love. I might cry,” Garcia began. “I might cry… but only because of the Holy Spirit and the love I feel right now. I don’t want to cry but I’m going to cry. I love God so much and I just felt that in my heart. I felt that in my soul. I’ve been going through a lot lately, I’ve been feeling a lot of hurt because I tried myself, I tried my hardest to share all the love that he gave me and I tried to help out the kids. I tried my best and everybody tried to break me down. They tried to make me stop, they tried to cancel my fight and I was trying to do something good.”

He continued: “I put everything on the line and they judge me hard but I kept going. I’m strong. People can say that I cried and what not and they think it’s a problem. Well, come see me… I just want to show you that I love you guys and I appreciate every one of you.” When one account on social media shared the TikTok while implying Garcia is mentally unwell, the fighter fired back: “Those who know the Holy Spirit will make a grown man cry. I was worshipping God on my TikTok live with my community. I love God and you titled this as if I was crying due to mental instability. I find it distasteful, and disrespectful to my beliefs. But again get your clicks and views.” Check out the TikTok below.

Ryan Garcia Calls Devin Haney Fight “Personal”

Ryan Garcia has sounded off about Devin Haney as their upcoming boxing match approaches. “To me, it is personal in a way,” Garcia said, “I don’t know, something’s just in me. I don’t even feel like answering these questions bro, I’m sorry,” Garcia told TMZ this week. However, Garcia did answer a few more questions from the outlet, further sounding off about his April opponent. “I don’t give a f-ck about his boxing skills. I’mma beat his a–, that’s it! I’m not a boxing analyst. Forget that dude! He’s gonna get it, 4/20, that’s it!” Garcia added.

Even though there are nearly two months before their fight, tensions are high between the two men. Garcia and Haney had been separated at Super Bowl LVIII in February after getting into a brief altercation. Additionally, the pair traded words when they jointly appeared on First Take this week. Who are you backing in the bout? Let us know in the comments.

Ryan Garcia Calls Out KSI

Of course, Garcia is no stranger to beef. Garcia tried to land a knockout blow on KSI following their Twitter feud last October. “KSI is so salty on me for no reason He can’t go the distance with me like he claimed. He’s a 7 head monster. Stop speaking my name. @KSI,” Garcia wrote on X following a back-and-forth between the two men. KSI had come after Garcia after it was announced that Garcia’s year-ending fight against Oscar Duarte would not be a pay-per-view event. After Garcia said he did not want to “rob his fans”, implying an easy win for himself, KSI suggested he had already robbed his fans following his loss to Gervonta Davis last year.

The two men traded barbs back and forth before Garcia finally told the YouTuber to step up or shut up. “If you want to fight me, let me know or stop speaking my name,” Garcia wrote in a private message to KSI. The December 2 fight will also be Duarte’s first since May. The Mexican-born fighter is 26-1-1 in his decade-long career.

Devin Haney Flexes New Chain To Celebrate Latest Win

Devin Haney is repping some new drip after his latest win in the ring. The undefeated boxer showed off a new iced-out chain bearing a “Devin” pendant to celebrate his win over Regis Prograis last weekend. The piece was reportedly designed by Benny the Jeweler. However, there is no word to what the piece cost.

Haney’s win over Prograis was a clinical masterpiece. “I did everything that I said I was gonna do. Went in there and I handicapped him. We knew that he was gonna come in with a big left hand. We capitalized on his habit of leaning in. I hit him with big shots. I knew that I was hurting him,” Haney said after the fight. Prograis landed just 36 punches in the entire fight, a conversion rate of just 10%. By comparison, Haney hit his opponent 129 times.

Who Is Devin Haney’s Next Fight?

Haney is now a two-division champion, although he did recently vacate his undisputed belt last month. However, Haney now needs to capitalize on his success and start booking the biggest fights he can find. Gervonta Davis, who fights at both 135 and 140, feels like the obvious option. However, Haney is skeptical that it’s a fight that could come together. “Tank don’t want to fight because if he really wanted to fight, then he would be trying to build up the fight instead of trying to knock it down. If he really wanted to fight me, he would be making it that. It’s a big fight and it’s the best fight for boxing. But he only talked down on the fight. Like I said many times, they say everything but ‘let’s fight,’” Haney told ESPN.

The other superstar option if Haney remains at 140 is Ryan Garcia. “For years and years we chased a Ryan Garcia fight. No one wanted to fight Devin Haney and everyone used the excuse: ‘It’s not a big enough fight. No one knows who he is.’ When you’re too good, the only way you can entice people is to get paid to get beat. He sold out in a city that hasn’t had boxing in two decades,” Haney’s promoter said of a potential Garcia fight.

Devin Haney Walks Out With Skilla Baby And Tay B Before Title Fight

Devin Haney was joined by Skilla Baby and Tay B during his ring entrance this weekend. The two rappers flanked the superstar boxer ahead of his fight against Regis Prograis. Haney was aiming to become boxing’s latest multi-division champion and did so in dominant fashion. While the fight went the distance, Haney scored a unanimous decision, earning a 120-107 score from all three judges. Haney improved to 31-0 in a fight in which Prograis simply had no answers for ESPN‘s No. 7 pound-for-pound fighter.

Where Does Devin Haney Go From Here?

Shakur Stevenson’s Lacklustre Title Fight Blasted By Devin Haney And Ryan Garcia

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia both took shots at Shakur Stevenson after Stevenson eeked out a win in his lightweight title fight versus Edwin De Los Santos. “Stop that scared narrative … nobody was ever scared of that bum!” Haney wrote on X. “Imagine going to this fight for Formula 1 weekend, I would ask for my money back and go straight to bed, that’s how sleepy I’d be from being there,” Garcia wrote on his own account. Both men have feuded with Stevenson over the course of 2023 and are each viewed as a future opponent for him.

However, even Stevenson was critical of his performance. “I had a bad performance tonight. That’s all I’m really focused on. I wasn’t feeling too good, so I’ll live with it. It’s OK. I didn’t feel good before the fight. Honestly, I had already told myself that if I feel like this in the ring and if it’s not going well, I’m going to make sure that I box and get the victory. I don’t make excuses. It happens. We go through a lot as fighters,” Stevenson told ESPN.

What’s Next For Stevenson?

Most pundits agree that Stevenson’s next fight needs to be a show-stopper if he doesn’t want his rise to plateau. Emanuel Navarrete could be a potential fight, with the 38-1-1 slugger being the offense-heavy fighter Stevenson needs. However, Navarrete was held to a draw in his own Thursday night bout, likely meaning he will be tied to a rematch against Robson Conceicao. There is also William Zepeda, the undefeated Golden Boy product who routinely throws 1000+ punches a night. Pitting Stevenson against such a volume-heavy fight would be the perfect TV spectacle.

Furthermore, Haney and Garcia still remain as potential foes. However, Haney is due to move to super lightweight to challenge Regis Prograis next month. Meanwhile, Garcia has been tapped for a bout against Oscar Duarte. Furthermore, Stevenson has likely lost the star power needed to book either of them for a fight until he is able to show that he can go toe to toe with someone at the highest levels of the sport in an entertaining fashion.

Devin Haney Has Weapon Charges Dropped

DA Chooses To Drop Charges

However, Haney will face no charges over the incident. “The DA rejected to file charges due to insufficient evidence,” Bill Haney, Devin’s father and trainer, told ESPN. Haney is now a free man, though he will likely be more careful with his firearm in the future. He avoids the jail sentence that befell fellow boxer, Gervonta Davis. Davis spent 72 days in jail for his role in a 2020 hit-and-run.

With his legal issues out of the way, Haney can now turn his attention to his next fight. The 30-0 fight successfully defended his undefeated lightweight title against Vasiliy Lomachenko in May. Now Haney will move up a weight class to junior welterweight. His debut, announced July 28, will see him take on 29-1 Regis Prograis. Furthermore, Prograis’ WBC title will be on the line in the fight. He chose the fight with Prograis over a lightweight title defense against Shakur Stevenson. Haney v Prograis is set for October 28 in Las Vegas.

Boosie Badazz & Nelly Are Frustrated With Devin Haney’s Victory

When Devin Haney beat Vasiliy Lomachenko on Saturday (May 20) in their highly anticipated boxing match, it came with a crutch for some. Moreover, after an intense and contested 12 rounds, judges ultimately sided with Haney for the victory. While this came as a shock and travesty to many fans, its impact was such that even some hip-hop notables had to speak out with their take. Two of the most vocal voices in that arena were Boosie Badazz and Nelly, who thought that Loma deserved the crown. However, in Boosie’s case, he even looked past his own benefits from the match-up, as he won money by betting on the San Francisco boxer’s win.

“I F**K WITH HANEY BUT I JUST WATCH CHAMP LOSE EVERY ROUND OF THAT FIGHT NO BOXING RIGGED TIMES HAVE CHANGED THIS S**T BOUT MONEY,” he wrote on Twitter. “I won money on Haney but Money can’t make me Lie.” On the other hand, Nelly had a much less conciliatory set of words aimed at the decision, not at either athlete in particular. In an Instagram video, the Austin-born artist said that boxing just wasn’t for him anymore.

“I’m just letting y’all know I am done with boxing,” Nelly shared. “They will never get another motherf***in’ dime out of me. This is a travesty. I am done with boxing. Devin Haney is a very talented boxer. I have nothing against that man, much respect. He was not the better man today. At most, that man got a draw. At most. That man got robbed.” Furthermore, these sentiments echo a lot of discourse online, even though some don’t think it was a complete robbery. Still, the conversation remains hotly contested on either side.

Nelly Speaks On Devin Haney’s Controversial Win

Meanwhile, Boosie might just give boxing a try- that is, if he ever decides to treat Charleston White to a showdown. White expressed a desire to get Anthony Dewberry to fight him and Bandman Kevo for $100K following their beef. While it doesn’t seem to have manifested into anything, it makes any of the Baton Rouge MC’s commentary on the ring a little ironic. Maybe one day we’ll see if he takes up the challenge. Devin Haney Doubles Down in Victory Over Lomachenko: ‘I Got the Victory'

Devin Haney retained his undisputed lightweight championship with a unanimous decision over Vasiliy Lomachenko on Saturday. The decision left a buzz across boxing as many believed Lomachenko should have won. Nelly was included.

Fight fans were in an uproar over the weekend at the result of the Devin Haney – Vasiliy Lomachenko fight for the lightweight championship. Nelly also wasn’t feeling it.

Hitting Instagram, Nelly let his feelings fly about the match.

“I’m just letting y’all know I’m done with boxing,” Nelly said. “They will never get another motherfucking dime out of me. This is a travesty. I am done with boxing.

Devin Haney Retains Undisputed Title In Controversial Bout

Devin Haney is one of the greatest active boxers. The WBC lightweight champion since 2019 and undisputed champion since 2022, Haney is 30-0 in his illustrious career. One of the defining factors of his style is his stamina. Going into his May 20 bout, his last six bouts had gone a full 12 rounds. But his latest fight would likely be his most challenging.

Vasiliy Lomachenko is a living legend. The Ukrainian fighter is a two-time gold medallist and former WBA and WBO title holder. 17-2 in his career, the only thing he didn’t have on his resume was an undisputed title. That’s what led to the blockbuster fight with Haney in front of a packed crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Haney Wins But Fans Are Unconvinced

Haney dominated the first half of the fight, working the body and jabbing the Ukrainian hard. However, Lomachenko rallied in the last six rounds as he showcased his trademark multi-angled flurries. Despite Lomachenko’s work, Haney defended his title and scored his seventh consecutive 12-round, unanimous decision victory. But fans, and Lomachenko, remain unconvinced. “I don’t want to talk about the decision. All [the] people see what happened here today,” said Lomachenko, who cried in his locker room after the fight. Additionally, Lomachenko’s manager, Egas Klmias, called the decision a “robbery”.

The fight was also proceeded by a shove at the weigh-in that will cost Haney $4 million, a source told ESPN. Additionally, fans were inclined to agree. “Really feel for Loma. Rejected the chance at undisputed vs Kambosos, then for me gets this win vs Haney taken away from him. How one judge gave Haney round 10 i’ll never know…” one wrote on Twitter. “Biggest Robbery of the year LOMA won that fight” added another. Klmias also indicated that he was preparing to file an appeal for the fight. The sentiment was also echoed by boxer Shakur Stevenson. “Lomachenko should be undisputed champion. He won that fight,” said Stevenson, ESPN’s No. 9 pound-for-pound boxer. “He landed the cleaner punches and pushed the pace.” Do you think the judges made the wrong decision? Let us know in the comments.
