It’s a wrap on The Kang Dynasty at Marvel. In a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios decided to pivot away from Jonathan Majors’ Kang character, but the decision was long before his conviction

In a lengthy examination of the Superhero film industry, Marvel is attempting to combat box office superhero fatigue and citing Kang the Conqueror’s “underperformance” in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by box office standards.

A month after Quantumania, Majors was embroiled in a domestic violence incident, leading to a conviction late last year.

The forthcoming film, The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, was set to release in 2026. Now, the film will undergo rewrites to “minimize the character or excise him entirely.”

The next film from Marvel will be Deadpool & Wolverine, which is set for this summer.

The bad news continues for Jonathan Majors. As reported by Variety, he was set to play NBA superstar Dennis Rodman in a much-hyped biopic based on the former Chicago Bulls champion. 

As the report says, Majors is in the Lionsgate film entitled 48 Hours in Vegas. The studio further distanced themselves by releasing the film all together and handing the rights back to the producers. Sheesh. 

48 Hours in Vegas was based on a little-known story that followed Rodman’s inconceivable Las Vegas trip that went down during the 1998 NBA Finals.

The film project has been in limbo after Majors was arrested in early 2023 following a domestic dispute with his now ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Now that he has been convicted on two misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, the studio ultimately dropped the hammer.

Jonathan Majors Let Go From Dennis Rodman Biopic

Jonathan Majors has been a fixture in the news cycle over the last few months. Overall, this is due to his assault case which ended with him being found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree, as well as second-degree harassment. Subsequently, the actor was let go by Marvel. Although many had suspected this would happen, it was still news that sent shockwaves throughout the industry. It also led to some speculation about what would happen to Majors’ other upcoming projects.

For instance, it was reported months ago that Majors would be playing none other than Dennis Rodman. The movie 48 Hours In Vegas would star Majors and would explore the time Rodman left the Chicago Bulls to engage in debauchery. This is a storyline that was talked about in The Last Dance. It is one of those legendary NBA tales that would be perfect on the silver screen. However, according to Deadline, Majors has officially been let go from the project.

Furthermore, to make matters worse, Lionsgate will no longer aid in producing the film. This essentially means the filmmakers need to find a new studio. Additionally, they have to find a new actor to play Rodman. That is not going to be an easy task, even if there are a ton of actors who would love to have that role. Only time will tell whether or not the movie is going to get its due justice. As for Majors, this is yet another setback in what had been appearing to be a promising career.

Dennis Rodman Gets Booty Tattoo Of His Girlfriend’s Face

Last month, Dennis Rodman drew headlines for his latest tattoo. It was a very prominent tattoo of his girlfriend’s face. Rodman showed it off on social media with the caption “Start your own legacy when you’re God favored.” Meanwhile, his girlfriend can also be seen in the video, inspecting the tattoo approvingly. Speaking with TMZ, Yella Yella, explained her reaction to the tattoo. “I actually told him not to do it. I’m like, ‘What’re you doing!’” Even while he was getting the procedure done, Yella Yella claims that she was calling him “crazy” and a “wild boy.” Furthermore, she claims that the large tattoo was initially meant to be even larger.

However, Rodman stood firm and defended the tattoo. “This is my last dance with a woman,” Rodman explained. “She’s very lovely,” he added. “And I thank her for loving me the way I am — and that’s why I did it for her.” Well, Rodman’s taken this a step further, showing off some new Yella-inspired ink in a slightly more intimate location.

Rodman Gets New Butt Tattoo

Hitting a parlor in Florida, Rodman settled in for a lengthy session to get a tattoo on his ass. Once again he opted for an image of Yella’s face, also adding his own likeness alongside it. Again, Yella has said that she had no idea that this was the plan when they hit up the parlor late at night. She is yet to provide her full reaction to the new ink.

Rapper Sexyy Red, most recently seen scoring a W over Tasha K, dropped her thoughts. “Dats me on his face yal 💋,” the St. Louis rapper wrote. What’s more, the tattoo does kind of look like Red, best known for her track “Pound Town”. Dennis Rodman is one of the most beloved former athletes out there. Overall, he is someone that has a very interesting personality. From his days as an ambassador to North Korea to his unique commentary on basketball, Rodman is a treasure. Although, there is no denying that sometimes, his delivery can rub people the wrong way. At the end of the day, Dennis Rodman is unapologetically himself, and you either love him or hate him for it. No matter what, his contributions to The Last Dance were simply amazing.

If you know anything about Rodman and his history as an athlete, you know he had his own shoe at one point. This sneaker was called the Nike Air Darwin which featured a chunky design. Overall, these designs were all the range back in the day, especially in 1994 when these debuted. In fact, the sneaker was known for having a backward swoosh near the back heel. Ultimately, it was a nice nod to his off-kilter personality. Subsequently, decades later, Travis Scott came through with a backward swoosh of his very own.

Dennis Rodman Jokes Around

As it turns out, Rodman has taken notice of Scott’s design. According to TMZ, Rodman was at a Got Sole event in Chicago where a fan came up to him with a pair of Travis Scott Air Jordan 1s. Consequently, Rodman couldn’t help but let people know that he was the true originator of this aesthetic. The former Bulls superstar looked at the camera and asked Scott to give him some credit. Mostly, Rodman didn’t seem too pressed about it all. However, he did want to make it be known that he came up with the concept first.

Overall, it is clear that Travis’ shoe has had a lot more impact than Rodman’s. As unfortunate as it is to say, the Air Darwin is one of the shoes that hasn’t had much of a revival. However, perhaps that will change now that people know the truth behind them. After all, Rodman definitely deserves the extra success. For instance, he just played Kang in the latest Ant-Man film. Moreover, he is the villain in the brand-new Creed film, which has proven to be a massive success. While speaking to the Associated Press, Majors let it be known that he is going to play Dennis Rodman soon. This will be for the new movie 48 Hours in Vegas which is the working title right now. Overall, this is supposed to be a movie about the time Dennis Rodman left the Chicago Bulls in the middle of the 1998 season. Subsequently, Rodman went and partied in Las Vegas as opposed to playing with his teammates. It was a very bizarre saga, and now, Majors will get to showcase it all on the big screen.

Jonathan Majors Speaks

In the interview above, Majors revealed how he is looking to get into the Rodman mindset. Essentially, he wants to sit down with Rodman and really get a feel for who he is as a person. “Hopefully I get to sit with him and chat with him when we get closer and try to get the script right; all these things, all these industry things,” Majors said. “I never really put a ceiling on myself but this is definitely a role where I’m definitely going to make sure I’m pushing that ceiling out. Because he demands that. You know, he’s such a full individual so he’s going to demand a lot. I’ve got to figure out how to get that.”

This could truly prove to be the role of a lifetime for Majors. Overall, he would be the lead actor in the film. Furthermore, Rodman is such an oddball to the point where if Majors plays him correctly, he will be seen as an actor with a ton of range. Hopefully, we get more details on this project, very soon. The ‘Good Mourning’ Trailer Reveals A Star-Studded Cast, Featuring Machine Gun Kelly, Becky G, And More

On 4/20, multi-hyphenate Machine Gun Kelly revealed the trailer to his upcoming stoner comedy film, Good Mourning. Credited by his birth name Colson Baker, Good Mourning sees Kelly play an actor named London Clash.

One morning, London receives a text message from his girlfriend, Apple (Becky G), reading, “I wish I didn’t have to do this thru text,” then a follow-up message reading, “Good Mourning.” Assuming Apple is going to break up with him, London falls into a spiral. Joining him on his pot-fueled mission to get his girlfriend back are rapper Gata (of Dave fame), Pete Davidson, and Whitney Cummings. Kelly’s real-life fiancée Megan Fox also appears in the movie.

Good Mourning marks Kelly’s directorial debut, alongside fellow musician Mod Sun. Trippie Redd, Dove Cameron, Dennis Rodman, Tom Arnold, and Danny Trejo can be spotted throughout the trailer. Snoop Dogg also appears in the movie as an animated talking joint.

“We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand. The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch,” Open Road Films CEO Tom Ortenberg said in a statement. “Colson and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor.”
