PnB Rock tragically passed away two years ago, and the sands of time have yet to fully wash away the pain of his loss. Still, his family, loved ones, supporters, and colleagues continue to honor his memory, celebrate his life, and keep him within theirs with a lot of passion and dedication. The late rapper’s girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, took to Instagram this week to post a tribute to him on the second anniversary of his death. Even though it’s still incredibly hard to reckon with this tragedy and recover from the suffering that it inflicted, these loving recollections and professions of love go a long way to provide catharsis, constance, and eventually, peace and legacy.
“2 years without you,” Stephanie Sibounheuang wrote of PnB Rock. “It doesn’t get easier. You just get stronger. I miss you, I love you, I think about you all day long. Strange to say, as time goes on… I become more and more obsessed with you every day. It can’t be normal. Nonetheless, Can’t wait to see you in paradise for eternity. Forever in my heart [infinity sign emoji] @pnbrock.”
Furthermore, this follows news from last month that PnB Rock’s killers were found guilty of his murder on all counts. Per Rolling Stone, Freddie Trone faced conviction for felony murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of conspiracy. On the other hand, his 17-year-old son – the shooter in this case – is currently unfit for trial based on the latest court update. His father was his getaway driver. The court also deemed another suspect (Tremont Jones) guilty of two counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy.
“I’m elated,” PnB Rock’s mother Deanna Allen told Rolling Stone concerning the verdict. “I wanted to jump up and scream, ‘Hallelujah.’ I’m so happy it was quick. We got justice for Rakim. I feel better knowing they’ll be in jail for a long time.” Sadly, this news fell under darker context two weeks ago when Wack 100 spoke about Rock’s decision to not have security. Regardless of how we look back at this horror, the need for change, advocacy, and remembrance remains.
Michael Jackson cast a towering shadow over the music world. He transcended the medium altogether, and redefined what it meant to be a pop star, for better or worse. June 25 marked the 15th anniversary of Jackson’s passing, which led to various social media tributes from fans. The most notable statement released, however, was from the King of Pop’s own son, Prince Jackson.
Prince, who was only 12 years old when Michael Jackson died, posted a photo alongside his father on Instagram. “Miss you pops,” he wrote in the brief, albeit touching caption. “The world felt better with you in it.” Prince has made less controversial remarks about MJ than his sister, Paris, has, sticking mostly to happy childhood memories. He did just that during a KTLA interview back in March. Prince told the outlet that Michael Jackson never pushed him to pursue a career as an entertainer. “My dad used to say, ‘I don’t care what you want to be when you grow up, you just have to be the best at it,’” he recalled.
Prince Approves Of The Upcoming Michael Jackson Film
Michael Jackson’s legacy is more relevant than ever. The pop star’s career will serve as the focus of the upcoming film Michael, which is slated for release in April 2025. The titular role will be played by MJ’s nephew (and Prince’s cousin), Jaafar Jackson. Prince is not involved with the production, but he did give the film, and its creators, his blessing. He also posted a photo of Jaafar Jackson in character as MJ, and praised his performance. “Watching you perform and work your butt off,” Prince wrote on Instagram. “Is the closest I’ll ever come to watching my dad in concert and it’s been a dream come true! Proud of you cuz!”
Prince Jackson wasn’t the only one who paid tribute to the King of Pop this year. Jackie Jackson, MJ’s older brother, posted a photo of both of them performing on IG. “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you,” he wrote. We miss you everyday.” Tito Jackson also took to social media to share a black-and-white photo of his brother in his artistic prime. He didn’t provide any text, but Tito did use the hashtags #gonetoosoon and #missyoumuch.
Yung Miami is known for her upbeat, outspoken demeanor, but that doesn’t mean the City Girls star hasn’t experienced a great deal of hardship. Back in 2020, the father of her first child, Jai Wiggins, passed away as a result of a shooting. In the past, she’s admitted to feeling as though she never got the opportunity to properly mourn the loss due to her busy career. Now, however, she’s looking back on his life in honor of the fourth anniversary of his death.
She took to her Instagram Story today to share some photos of her late ex posing alongside her son. “4 yrs wow,” she wrote, adding a series of crying and broken-hearted emojis. She also shared a heartfelt Tweet about the anniversary, looking back on the tragic events that took place just before her son turned seven.
“It’s been 4 yrs since my bd passed he died 2 weeks before my son 7th birthday my son turning 11 in 2 weeks ahhhhh,” she wrote. “I’m trying not to cry today but the rain is not making it no better.” Of course, countless fans are empathizing with the femcee as she reflects on the heartbreaking loss, and sending their condolences. This isn’t the first time supporters have seen Yung Miami express sadness over Jai’s passing, however.
In 2022, she shared an emotional post about his death, praising him for being a wonderful father to their son. “You & Jai is peanut butter & jelly always together one thing about you, you don’t play about your son! So humble, quiet & uplifting. I hate this happen to you Jai you didn’t deserve this! Jai need you,” she shared. Tamar Braxton seems to have kept herself busy lately performing, enjoying her rekindled romance with Jeremy “JR” Robinson, and readying her new album. Amid her success, however, the hitmaker took to Twitter this week to express that she was struggling with the second anniversary of her sister Traci’s death. On March 12, she revealed that all she wanted to do was “sleep and emotionally eat all day.”
A fan later reached out to ask her if she had any birthday plans to look forward to. She responded, telling the fan that she felt it was impossible to celebrate considering Traci’s passing. “I don’t want to do ANYTHING for my birthday!?? Celebrate my life when my sister lost hers??? I don’t even feels right,” she wrote.
Another fan later called her Tweet a “trauma response,” insisting that it’s not in Tamar’s character to respond to a fan that way. “Fck her!” Tamar then replied, “Yes it is!!” Despite the singer’s pushback, users continued to urge her to enjoy her birthday, despite the pain surrounding her sister’s death. Again, she clapped back, telling others to just mind their business. “Y’all do too much on social media,” she explained. “I have Been suffering since Friday!!!! Why would u make fun at the fact that I’m without my sister cause she DIED!! Omg I hate people.”
Clearly, Tamar has a right to grieve however she chooses. Regardless, fans have continued to express concern over her social media activity as recently as yesterday. A user responded to a Tweet in which she asked, “Have you ever felt like no one really loves you like that….like for real?,” encouraging her to “stop thinking like this.” According to Tamar, however, it was simply a reference to her new song, “Notice Me.” What do you think of Tamar Braxton concerning fans with her latest social media posts? Do you think they’re on to something, or are they simply overreacting? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Von was a demon so do y’all really believe he turning flips in his grave about an only fans get real. Asian don’t stop keeping him memory alive.” Check out Asian Doll’s full post below.
King Von was shot and killed at the age of 26 in November 2020 after an altercation with Quando Rondo’s crew outside of the Monaco hookah lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. Police identified Timothy Leeks as a suspect in the shooting. Two years after Von’s death, YouTuber Trap Lore Ross released a video attempting to implicate him in various homicides and alleged crimes related to the Chicago gang scene; however, he eventually took it down.
On the fateful evening of September 13, 1996, the world lost an artist and a poet of the streets. The ringing of Tupac Amaru Shakur’s untimely demise reverberated across continents, touching hearts and minds that had been invigorated by his activism and musical talents.
While Las Vegas streets bore witness to the tragic drive-by shooting that claimed his life at just 25, they also became the epicenter of countless conspiracy theories. Some whispered about rivalries as others hinted at a larger setup. However, among the speculations, one fact remained unwavering—Tupac’s influence was far more significant than the life he lived. To truly understand the man behind the legend, we must venture beyond that tragic evening, back into the roots. We’re revisiting his celebrated life and career 27 years after his passing.
From Panther Roots To Hip-Hop Royalty: The Genesis Of Tupac
Beneath Tupac’s multifaceted public image was a history rich with activism and a legacy of challenging the established order. Born in East Harlem in 1971, Tupac’s formative years were intertwined with the ideals of the Black Panther movement. His mother, Afeni Shakur, was more than a guiding light in his life. She was a formidable member of the Panthers and a fervent activist. Her 1969 arrest and her subsequent acquittal in 1971 highlighted a period marked by racial tensions and intense political engagement. These surroundings heavily influenced Tupac’s growing hunger for change.
Moving from Baltimore to the West Coast, Tupac experienced firsthand the stark contrasts of racial disparities. This backdrop nurtured his artistry, enabling him to give voice to the unheard stories of those around him in his lyrics. To the broader audience, Tupac was purely a significant figure in Hip Hop. However, he had an undeniable depth, sharpened by diverse readings from Shakespeare to contemporary Black American authors. Yet, the enduring spirit of his mother, tales of Black resistance, and the profound influence of the Panthers truly shaped Tupac’s ethos. This foundation not only permeated his music but also fueled the energy behind his activism.
Gangsta Beats To Heartfelt Feats: The Sonic Journey
Rising from the underbelly of Hip Hop’s Golden Era, Tupac’s music was an authentic reflection of his experiences. His rhymes were molded by the cultural and socio-political milieu of his times. Tracks like “Brenda’s Got A Baby” and “Keep Ya Head Up” were not mere songs—they were poignant tales of the struggles Black Americans faced daily. It revealed an artist deeply empathetic to the societal ills surrounding him. Shakur used his platform to shed light on the often-ignored stories of Black American women grappling with hardships.
Tracks like “Changes” underscored Tupac’s sharp socio-political consciousness. Tackling issues from racism to police brutality, it was a clarion call for change and introspection. His lyrical brilliance was apparent, and his relevance undying. Even today, amid waves of civil rights movements, the song’s message stands as pertinent as ever.
Balancing Revolutionary Rhymes & Gangsta Rap
With such a background, it was no surprise that Shakur’s artistry was interwoven with pointed social and political commentary. Yet, his activism wasn’t restricted to his music. Tupac was known for his candid, often fiery interviews where he didn’t shy away from addressing injustices, institutional racism, and the importance of empowering Black American youth.
One might argue that this alignment of art and activism was a tightrope walk, especially in the mainstream music industry. The magnetism of commercial allure is seductive. Album sales, roaring fans, global tours, and the shimmer of accolades paint an irresistible portrait. For Tupac, these trappings were merely vehicles that transported his deeper message to a global stage. He consistently dodged the trend of diluting content for broader appeal. Instead, he chose to layer his artistry with intricate narratives, pushing forth a duality of street sagas alongside passionate calls for change.
This was the fine line Tupac Shakur perpetually walked upon, each step weighed against the gold standard of chart-topping success and the moral imperative to speak truth to power. However, Tupac managed this balance with finesse. He emphasized that his gangsta rap persona and his activist inclinations were not contradictory. Instead, they were reflective of the dual realities that many Black Americans, especially successful professionals, continue to balance.
More Than A Legend
The sparkle of Tupac Shakur isn’t confined merely to the beats that punctuated his music or the lyrics that have been staples in Hip Hop culture. It lies in the undying reverberations that continue to reach the corners of both the music industry and larger expanse of activism. Moreover, Tupac’s influence is palpable. Turn on the radio, and you’ll find young artists echoing his passion. Their reverence for Tupac is unmistakable, recognizing in him a pioneer who carved a space for authenticity in arenas that often seemed consumed by superficiality.
Additionally, more than an artist, Tupac was a beacon for change. It wasn’t merely about identifying problems—it was about galvanizing change and urging collective action. Today, as we remember Tupac on the anniversary of his death, it’s evident that his physical departure from this world has done little to dim his legacy. Young activists, armed with microphones or placards, champion the causes the Rap icon shed light on.
In a life punctuated by both fame and tragedy, Tupac managed to transcend the traditional confines of celebrity. He became more than just a rapper or an actor. He emerged as a symbol, representing hope. As we reflect on his life, we’re reminded that Tupac’s legacy remains immortal.
Britney Spears’ Instagram has become a must-watch spectacle in recent months. The iconic pop star has been more active than ever, especially when it comes to original content. One particular highlight is Spears’ joyful dancing in the foyer of her Thousand Oaks mansion, something she posts videos of several times a week.
However, there has been a definite theme to her Instagram activity in recent days. June 25 marked the 14th anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson, who died on that day in 2009.
Many of Spears’ recent posts have specifically made reference or paid tribute to the King of Pop. The pair famously performed Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” together at Madison Square Garden in 2001.
In the lead-up to the anniversary of Jackson’s death, Spears posted two dance videos set to tracks by a member of the Jackson family. In a now-deleted post, Spears danced to “Scream” by Janet and Michael Jackson. However, in a second video still present on Spears’ account, she dances to Janet Jackson’s “Throb”.
In a separate post, Spears posted side-by-side images of her practicing and performing the 2001 MSG routine. “Rehearsals with Micheal versus performance ,” she wrote in the caption. It’s clear that Spears still holds Jackson in the highest regard.
Furthermore, in typical Spears eccentricity, the “Throb” dance video and MSG throwback were separated by a bizarre post. Spears simply posted a Dutch Masters-esque still life that depicted a McDonald’s order. She captioned the post with three Union Jacks.
Britney isn’t the only person paying homage to Jackson. Rapper Offset recently channeled Jackson’s iconic fashion during an appearance at the Dior Men’s SS24 show.
The former Migos member sported a black military-style jacket with red details and gold buttons. Furthermore, he paired the jacket with a pair of blue jeans and a flashy gold belt buckle. Finally, Offset completed the look with a pair of black gloves and some shades.
It’s Offset’s second MJ tribute outfit in as many months. The Atlanta rapper wore a red satin jacket to the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse last month. He also paired that look with black gloves and shades. Furthermore, Offset sported a white, MJ-esque jacket to the premiere of The Little Mermaid. However, it’s possible this look was a little more Prince Eric than the King of Pop.
