D’Angelo Russell Slides Into Megan Thee Stallion’s… Seat At Lakers Game: Watch

Megan Thee Stallion’s fit at the L.A. Lakers’ recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves was turning heads on and off the court on Sunday night (April 7). Moreover, Laker star D’Angelo Russell crashed into her and a camera operator court-side during a play, and she reacted unbothered as two teammates helped D’Lo up. Of course, this resulted in plenty of memes online, as folks thought that he was just trying to get closer to the Houston MC. There are always jokes about how players perform while celebrities are there, but it seems like the more genuine and unassuming the interaction, the more people assume about it online.

After all, this is pretty tame compared to other hilarious celebrity moments at NBA games, but Twitter is still running rampant with memes about the situation. It also doesn’t help that Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” twerking challenge is making people a little more lustful than usual when it comes to her. As such, there was even more reason for folks to joke about all this, a distraction that we’re sure the California team easily side-stepped on their play-in run. We’ll see how the post-season run for them goes, and whether or not they can push all the way to the Western Conference Finals again.

Megan Thee Stallion Keeps It Cool After D’Angelo Russell Crashes Into Her Courtside Seat: Watch

Elsewhere, Megan Thee Stallion is really feeling herself for plenty of reasons, and she recently let herself indulge in what seemed like confident trash talk. For example, folks thought that her Instagram Live jokes recently took aim at Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot” diss track against her earlier this year. While that track didn’t find the best critical reception, the most important thing about it is that it didn’t really seem to impact or derail the 29-year-old’s career as Nicki might’ve hoped. Still, Meg has yet to respond to it, and while some fans consider this an automatic L, maybe there’s more to this story than we thought.

Meanwhile, her aforementioned new GloRilla collab “Wanna Be” is performing really well right now, hinting towards a potential summer smash. Do you think you’ll be bumping it all throughout the year or are you more confident in Tina Snow’s upcoming solo output? Drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Jalen Rose Breaks Down Lakers’ “Message” To D’Angelo Russell

D’Angelo Russell is one of the many questions that must be answered during the Lakers’ offseason. Russell, who is coming to the end of a four-year, $117,325,500 contract, is eligible to sign a two-year, $67.5 million extension before June 30. Russell averaged 17.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. However, he is just one of many questions for the Lakers. They have a number of pending free agents, as well as the possibility of LeBron’s retirement.

Another source of free agency speculation is Kyrie Irving. The 31-year-old is set to explore the market after speculation that the Mavericks would not be re-upping after a few months of the Kyrie-Luka experiment began to emerge. While the Lakers have publicly waved off interest in Kyrie, they remain a popular candidate to acquire his services. However, the offseason is still in its infancy. Despite this, former NBA star and current analyst Jalen Rose believe that the team sent both players a message about their intentions during the playoffs.

Jalen Rose Explains Russell Benching And Courtside Kyrie

“You can’t bring back DLo,” Rose said on NBA Today. ”I don’t care what number it is, what years it is because when you get benched in the close-out game while Kyrie Irving is sitting in front row, that’s a double message because how did he get his tickets? And so, based on that alone, at halftime of Game 3, everybody knew that D’Angelo Russell should be benched. He was like -53 on the floor, they were like +35 with him off the floor.” Russell averaged 6.3 points in 23.5 minutes of play against the Denver Nuggets.

He continued. “When they didn’t bench him, to me, that was them saying to him ‘you know what, we’re not going to do that to you right now because we hope to sign you this offseason. When they benched him in Game 4, that let me know that they’re not gonna try to sign him.” What do you think the Lakers will do with Russell and Kyrie? Let us know in the comments. Draymond Green Comments On D’Angelo Russell Flagrant Foul

There were a handful of memorable viral moments during the Nuggets’ 108-103 win over the Lakers on Thursday night. Fans have roasted LeBron for completely flubbing a breakaway dunk. LeBron also garnered attention for his continuing inability to sink fourth-quarter threes. However, few things have gotten people more heated than a foul call early in the game.

With about three minutes left in the first quarter and the Lakers leading 23-20, Jamal Murray was driving to the basket when the Lakers’ D’Angelo Russell employed a fairly physical block. Russell crashed into Murray, sending the Nugget to the floor. The refs immediately called Russell for a Flagrant 1. However, many people have disagreed with the call, arguing that the incident was nothing close to a flagrant foul. This was echoed both by announcers and fans online.

Green Tweets After Foul Call

The Warriors’ Draymond Green was one of the people who disagreed with the foul. Green is no stranger to the whims of the refs, having missed a playoff game this season for stomping on a Kings’ player during the first round. But Green took issue with the decision to call Russell for a Flagrant 1. Taking to his Twitter account, Green simply tweeted “soft” around the time of the foul call. As the comments poured in, Green followed up with another tweet. “A lot of you dudes be real disrespectful in these comments. FAN BOYS. However, I think it really bother y’all that I’m the PLAYER that I am and the VOICE that I am. I get it… it’s tough to wrap your mind around it. But just accept it. I’m humbly ELITE at both 🤷🏿‍♂️.”

Russell had a quiet night overall outside of the viral moment. He played 33 minutes, putting up 10 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block. This year’s playoffs have become a lightning rod of foul controversy, especially in the early rounds. In the first round, the refs were very liberal with flagrant foul calls, even when the situation clearly didn’t warrant one. Do you think Russell deserved a flagrant foul call last night? Let us know in the comments.

D’Angelo Russell Reveals The Extent Of His Ankle Injury

D’Angelo Russell is a player who has had a very interesting career in the NBA. Overall, he started his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he eventually found himself at the center of a controversy involving Nick Young. This led to him going to the Brooklyn Nets. From there, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors, who subsequently sent him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. While in Minnesota, he was a solid guard, however, he was not being utilized to his fullest potential.

At the trade deadline, Russell was sent back to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of the Russell Westbrook trade. This turned out to be a great move for the Lakers who also got Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley. Since the trade, the Lakers have actually looked very good. They have won two blowout games in a row and are playing their best basketball of the season. Although they have a long way to go, it is clear that they actually have a path to the postseason now.

D’Angelo Russell Goes Down

Unfortunately, during their win against the Golden State Warriors last night, Russell went down with some sort of ankle injury. In the video clip above, you can see Russell land awkwardly after rolling his ankle. This ended up happening early in the game, and the guard was in some pain. Consequently, the Lakers’ trainers took him out and had him sit for the rest of the match. Following the game, Russell spoke to Lakers reporter Mark Medina about the injury. He said that while it did feel sore, he thinks he will be good to go for the next game.

This is definitely good news for the Lakers as they need all hands on deck for the next stretch of the season. They are one game back from a play-in spot, and with 22 games left, they need as many wins as possible. Overall, there is this sense that they could steal the sixth seed with a strong finish to the season, and if they manage that, they could be dangerous in the playoffs.

Russell Westbrook & D’Angelo Russell Trade In The Works

If you have been following the Los Angeles Lakers, you know that there have been plenty of huge Russell Westbrook trade talks. However, there was one point this season when the Lakers were seemingly going to keep Russ. Although now, things may have changed. After all, the team was pursuing Kyrie Irving, and Westbrook was part of those talks. With the trade deadline just a day away, the Lakers need to act fast, and last night’s loss to the OKC Thunder has left a bitter taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

Overall, there isn’t a huge market for Westbrook. At the end of the day, he has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Furthermore, he only has one year left, which means he will become a free agent. For most teams, he would just be a rental. However, rentals are only good if you are trying to contend for a championship. Needless to say, there aren’t a ton of teams that are a good fit for the point guard. Regardless, the Lakers are working overtime to find a team that will take him.

Russell Westbrook Discussed

Now, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are closing in a deal with the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves. “The Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves are in discussions on a three-team deal that would send D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation such as a first-round pick to Utah and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota,” Charania wrote. Of course, Russell already played for the Lakers, however, that was during the Kobe era. His time with the team came to an unceremonious end thanks to the infamous Iggy Azalea and Nick Young drama. If you’re a Lakers fan, this isn’t the blockbuster deal you were hoping for.

This is still very much a developing story, and there is no guarantee that the deal gets made. If I’m LeBron, I’m probably rushing to Rob Pelinka’s office and vetoing this deal. Unless the Lakers get more than just D-Lo, this move doesn’t make that much sense. Let us know what you think of the potential trade, in the comments below.
