Damson Idris’ most notable project to date (aside from his ongoing romance with Lori Harvey) would have to be his work on FX’s Snowfall. Aside from taking on the role of Franklin Saint, he also made waves with his appearance in Donald Glover’s Swarm. Though it was short-lived, his steamy sex scene with Chloe Bailey certainly kept the English actor fresh in viewer’s finds. Now, to top all of that, Idris has more celebrating to do with the announcement of his casting opposite Brad Pitt in an upcoming original film from Apple.

The news came on Friday (April 7), via Deadline. Joseph Kosinski will be directing, and Idris will reportedly play the role of a race car driver in the F1-oriented story. It’s been said that dozens of actors were considered for the coveted part, but ultimately, the 31-year-old won producers over with his charm. “The untitled feature follows Pitt as a racer who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver and take his final stab at glory on the track as the younger driver’s teammate,” the outlet reports. Not only are fans of Idris celebrating the big news, but his girlfriend made sure to give the actor his flowers too.

Reposting an announcement from The Hollywood Reporter on her Instagram Story this weekend, Harvey praised her man with a simple but effective “!!!!!!!” Seeing as the two are currently on the baecation of their dreams together, it’s likely she was able to shower him with much more praise during their time soaking up the sun together. Following that, the model also shared a sweet selfie with her man, showing them both sun-kissed and smiling in the tropics.

“Happy Easter 🤍,” she wrote in small white font near the bottom of the screen. While some haters previously claimed that Lori Harvey and Damson Idris were lacking chemistry during their red carpet debut, the couple has been proving the opposite to be true in recent weeks. On Thursday (April 6), Harvey’s Instagram Stories lit up with a series of posts showing off her bikini body. In the first image, the model’s toned, tanned legs are stretched out on a beach chair. Aside from that view, there’s also the beautiful blue ocean in front of her. No caption was included, but it wasn’t necessary as the peaceful vibes emanating from the image told us all we need to know – she’s living lavishly in paradise, both mentally and physically. Elsewhere on her profile, the Memphis-born beauty revealed that her boyfriend is soaking up the sun with her.

It seems the couple had some company with them, or at least a stranger kind enough to snap a sweet photo of Harvey planting her bodacious backside on her man. Idris lies sprawled out under the beautiful blue sky. His girlfriend holds what appears to be a fruity cocktail, shielding her head from the sun with a straw hat. We can’t see either of the socialite’s faces in the photo. Still, their body language clearly claps back at haters and internet trolls previously claiming that they weren’t a good fit for each other following their red carpet debut.

In yet another Story post, Lori Harvey gave an up-close look at her bikini body, filming a selfie video while relaxing on a beach chair. ‘Swarm’ Actor Damson Idris Recalled Jay-Z Helping Him Get His Green Card: ‘He’s Always Supported Me’

Damson Idris is quickly becoming a household name. The British actor has garnered much of a following through his roles on Snowfall, which is in its final season, and Prime Video’s Swarm.

Idris credits his success as an actor partly to the generosity of rapper Jay-Z.

Over the years, it has been rumored that Jay helped Idris get his green card. Idris clarified the rumors in an interview on the 360 With Speedy show, but noted it may not have happened as other fans imagined it.

“Hov didn’t offer that up. I had to ask him,” He said. “But he’s done many things for me over the years. He’s always supported me. He supports everyone. He supports so many people that you don’t even know. Like, genuinely I should tell everyone this right now: If you ever run into Jay-Z, just say thank you and keep it moving because he is definitely a pioneer of the culture, but of everything.”

While Idris didn’t share all of the details about how Jay helped him get his green card, he also used his airtime to thank other people who helped in the process. He also noted that he plans to pay their generosity forward in the future.

“I won’t tell you how it happened ’cause there’s a couple more favors that I’m gonna need in the future,” he said, jokingly, “but yeah, he hooked me up with that. Rich Paul did, too. Tommy Schlamme, Eric Schrier — a bunch people hooked me up. They’re people who just believe in me, believe this journey that I’m on and I’m gonna repay the favor to the people coming behind me, too.”

The Snowfall actor appeared on Complex this week where Speedy Mormon asked him about Lori Harvey, and his relationship with Hov, who became a reference when he applied for permanent residence status in the U.S. Idris appeared perplexed by the question, though he confirmed Jay-Z came through for him on his application.

The Swarm star also explained that a few other individuals in the industry helped him out, though he wouldn’t reveal how he approached Jay-Z for the favor. “I won’t tell you how it happened ’cause there’s a couple more favors that I’m gonna need in the future,” Idris added. “but yeah, he hooked me up with that. Rich Paul did too. Tommy Schlamme, Eric Schrier — a bunch people hooked me up. Their relationship has come a long way. A few years ago, Damson Idris revealed that Jay-Z once clowned him during a Zoom birthday celebration for Lenny S. Idris explained he popped into the Zoom call with his shirt off thinking it would only be a few people. “I hear a distinctive voice and [he’s] like, ‘Aye man, this man’s in here topless with his nipples out and he got the grey headboard. Who’s in charge of the Zoom? Yo, Shafer you in charge of the Zoom? Yeah, you see that guy Damson? Kick him out,’” Damson Idris recalled in his best Jay-Z impression. People need to understand that people in the public eye are people.” The 31-year-old then reiterated that things have been “great” for him as of late, a wide smile spreading across his face.

Media Take Out reports that friends close to the SKN founder confirmed that she’s no longer with the Snowfall star. “They were dating and it was great, but they’re no longer around each other like that,” the friend said, though they stated there’s no bad blood between Lori Harvey and Damson Idris. “There’s no beef, no cheating, nothing like that. Meanwhile, it isn’t just the cameos and star-studded cast that has caused Swarm to become a hot topic; Chlöe and Damson Idris’s raunchy sex scene made for naughty memes on social media.

In a scene, the singer and Snowfall star were having intercourse, albeit Chlöe was face down in a doggy-style position. Some found it amusing and cracked jokes, others were a tad hot under the collar, but a select few criticized the “Have Mercy” singer.
