Benny The Butcher Reflects On “Johnny P’s Caddy” With Joe Budden

Benny the Butcher recently sat down for a lengthy interview with Joe Budden, during which he reflected on his 2022 song, “Johnny P’s Caddy.” In the Tana Talk 4 track, Benny claimed to have brought “Validity” to Griselda. The two discussed the J. Cole-assisted track on Conversation Lovers Only.

“This what that line is really towards,” Benny began in the conversation. “It’s toward the fans. It’s when you coming up under a two-headed monster, or whoever is ahead of you, or whoever laid the path for you. For me, West and Conway, my family. A lot of people be be thinking like, ‘where do I fit in at?’ I dealt with that. That was something that I dealt with. People acting like I never brought nothing to the camp.”

Benny added that the idea that he doesn’t bring anything to Griselda still permeates to this day. “They hated Burden Of Proof. When that dropped, that was Griselda’s biggest selling record at the time,” he continued. “Highest place on the chart at that time.” As for the full lyric, Benny rapped, “Come with that energy ’cause some shit gon’ always stick with me/They wanna know what I brought to Griselda, I say, ‘Validity.’”

Adam22’s “White Boy Pervert Shit” Questioned By Joe Budden: Listen

Joe Budden has never been one to shy away from controversy, especially not when it comes to calling out other celebrities on their misdeeds. The latest target of the 42-year-old is none other than Adam22. He heard questions about his long-spanning underage sex allegations while the two spoke on Amazon AMP’s Conversation Lovers Only earlier this week. As you may recall, the No Jumper host recently had @officialpervbusters as guests on his own show, though he promptly kicked them off after they brought up his previous admission to having a single phone conversation with a 16-year-old girl several years ago.

Adam maintains that he ended the call upon realizing she wasn’t legal, though they later reconnected when she was 19. As HipHopDX notes, they began a sexual relationship at the time, which some still deem to be inappropriate because the media personality first met the woman when she was a teenager. As far back as 2017 he tweeted about the situation, venting to followers about the predicament which he obviously feels is unfair.

Troubling Underage Sex Allegations

“I’m being accused of f*cking an underage girl in 2009 despite the fact that she is 27 right now,” Adam wrote at the time. While he’s trying to put the past behind him, not everyone has been so forgiving of the 39-year-old’s past transgressions, including Budden. “You said the girl was from wherever she was from, she didn’t know what she was doing, but you knew what you were doing,” the recording artist told his guest on Thursday (March 16).

Budden didn’t stop there. “You said, ‘I knew what I was doing, so I got away from her.’ Well… you didn’t get away from her if, by the grace of God, she ends up back in your life now that she’s OF age; you’re spending the night at her f*ckin’ mom’s house. What type of white boy pervert shit… what are you talkin’ about?” he lashed out at Adam22, who maintained that he doesn’t feel as though he’s done anything wrong. “What is the pervert shit about dating somebody once they are legal and of age?” he asked Joe.

Joe Budden Confronts Adam22

“I didn’t say a word to her for like three and a half years, and I mean that. It’s just, we just sorta ended up … I didn’t wait for anything, we just ended up reconnecting later on. So because I met her when she was underage, I shouldn’t have fucked her even though she’s of age? Well, in retrospect I wish I woulda taken that advice, it woulda made everything a lot simpler, right?” the YouTuber admitted to Joe Budden. Do you think Adam22 deserves the backlash he’s facing?
