Young Buck And 50 Cent Reignite Debate Over $250K Record Contract

50 Cent and Young Buck were core members of G-Unit in the 2000s. The former was obviously the leader and the label boss, while the latter was a loyal soldier. The problem is, Buck claims that he was never paid for his services. A new court filing from the rapper alleges that he was promised a $250K advance loan from his boss. The court filing may be new, but the debate as to whether 50 Cent made good on his promise has raged on for the better part of a decade.

Young Buck reportedly signed a contract with 50 Cent 2014. Nothing was said about the contract until 2020, when the rapper filed for bankruptcy and G-Unit Records claimed the $250K. Buck asserted that he was never paid the money. His attorneys have bolstered this assertion. Buck’s legal team feel that the contract “fails to meet enforceability standards under New York law.” This is reportedly due to the fact that a clear agreement and evidence of fulfillment of key terms are required. “G-Unit [Records] would have this court accept that no bank records, business records, or tax filings exist to substantiate these payments,” the attorneys added.

Young Buck Claims He Was Never Paid

Young Buck admonished 50 Cent for failing to pay up during an appearance on It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper in 2022. “Once he stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy,” the rapper noted. “They stopped him from being able to cease-and-desist in regards to me being able to, you know.” Young Buck’s recent filing comes on the heels of him being ordered to pay 50 Cent for the $250K in August. AllHipHop confirmed the order, and 50 even trolled Buck by reposting the headline on Instagram. “I don’t know why they make me go through this part,” he wrote. “But I’m a need that money by Monday.”

50 Cent and Young Buck may have been peers at one point, but their financial feud appears to be strong as ever. The latter talked about his relationship with 50 during an episode of Steve-O’s Wild Ride. He was willing to admit the two had misunderstandings, but voiced puzzlement at 50 Cent’s continued trolling. “I don’t know what I did to make him want to see me, not feed my children,” Buck stated. “Fifty’s his own person, but I would never wish death or wanna see him not be able to feed his family.” Hopefully things get sorted out.

DJ Akademiks Claims That Drake Has A Mega Deal With Stake And Reveals How Lucrative It Is

It turns out Drake’s partnership with the revolutionary cryptocurrency betting platform Stake is much more than meets the eye. That is at least according to DJ Akademiks, who dropped quite the bombshell during his recent livestream. Many of you know that The Boy is a big-time sports fan and bettor. He drops a lot of money on UFC and boxing, as well as soccer, among others. He always shares how much he wagers every time he does so and it’s consistently a generational amount of money. What you also may know is that Drake did have an agreement with Stake a couple of years ago.

According to Vibe, it was called “Drake on Stake” and if he won a certain game/event, he would share the winnings with a few lucky fans. Given how prolific the rapper is when it comes to putting his money where his mouth is, this collaboration was all but “inevitable,” as he put it. “It was inevitable. Drake and @stake have come together,” he wrote on Instagram. Well, it turns out that wasn’t the only thing that was bound to happen in regard to their working relationship.

Drake Was Also Not Supposed To Stream with Xqc

As we said, DJ Akademiks had revealed something pretty substantial, and it’s that Drake and Stake have a massive contract in place. It’s unclear as to when they inked a deal, but nevertheless, Ak affirms it’s real. It’s also quite lucrative, as the media pundit claims its worth up to $180 million. Even wilder is that it seems the hitmaker doesn’t have to do a whole lot besides laying down a ton of dough on an athlete or team.

“He gets paid to just put their s*** in his bio, stream once a month, and make a few bad picks on UFC and boxing and soccer. That’s what he’s getting paid to do,” Ak states. Overall, it sounds like a pretty sweet gig if you ask us. But the news didn’t stop there. He also made it known that Drake’s one stream for November wasn’t actually supposed to be with fellow Canadian, xQc, who is also a Stake partner. Instead, it was supposed to be an Adin Ross collab. However, he’s currently at odds with the website, so things fell through. Drake may have a lot going on right now, but you have to admit he knows how to make serious money.

Lupe Fiasco Alleges Lyor Cohen Tanked His Career After He Refused To Sign A 360 Deal

Lupe Fiasco alleges that Lyor Cohen, the industry executive who has worked at Warner Music Group and Def Jam in addition to co-founding, 300 Entertainment, threatened to stop promoting his records if he refused to sign a 360 record deal. He recalled the alleged conversation during an appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, last week. He says it occurred after the release of his second studio album, The Cool.

“I tell artists this because I think it’s important to let the artistic community know, this is what you’re really dealing with,” he began, as caught by VIBE. “I’m not making this up. I’m not gassing anything, and I’ll stand on this in the court of law. Lyor was like, ‘Yo if you don’t sign this 360 deal, we’re not promoting your records.’” He further alleged that Cohen told him: “Not only are we not promoting your records, we’re not promoting even the records that we give you.”

Lupe Fiasco Performs During Hip Hop 50 Live Concert In N.Y.C.

US rapper Lupe Fiasco performs during the Hip Hop 50 Live concert, marking the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip hop, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx borough of New York City on August 11, 2023. A genre, a culture and a lifestyle all at once: hip hop has traveled from the block party to the billionaire’s club, soundtracked protest and celebration, and asserted seismic influence over the course of pop. The reigning music style evolved in rapid, anarchic ways, rocking the industry establishment that long resisted its power, and fully embodying the culture of youth even as it grew. This year hip hop turns 50, an anniversary that’s offered its elders, its fans, and the city that birthed it a milepost to reflect on its cultural weight. Despite being willing to negotiate the terms of the 360 deal, it ended up falling through. “I didn’t sign, and my career was like ‘goodbye,’” he said. “My career ended at Lasers.” Fiasco dropped Lasers as his third studio album in 2011. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 after selling 200,000 copies in the first week. He’s since released a total of nine studio albums and none have charted as high.

Stephen A Smith Wants More Money Than Dak Prescott With His Next ESPN Contract

Stephen A Smith says that he deserves to be paid over $100 million by ESPN for his next contract and cited Dak Prescott’s deal with the Dallas Cowboys as evidence of his market value. While speaking with Chris Wallace for the latest episode of his Max series, Smith discussed his future with the company as he’s on the last year of his current deal.

“I’m not getting specific as it pertains to numbers, because only a fool discusses his own negotiations while negotiating,” Smith began. “So I’m not going to go that far. What I would say to you is, I would ask, respectfully, pay attention to the industry. See what people are getting paid. See how much money they’re making and what they’re bringing to the table. Look at look at their ratings, look at their revenue that they’re generating, and look at mine. And so we all want what the market bears. Dak Prescott just signed a contract for $240 million he’s making 60 million a year.”

When Wallace noted that Prescott is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Smith retorted: “Who has won two playoff games in eight years, I’ve been number one for 12. I’m sorry, in our respective industries, I win and I’m fully aware of what I’m worth, and I will never apologize to that for anybody.” Prescott inked his massive four-year, $240 million extension back in September, just before the regular season started. The deal made him the highest-paid player in the league on a per-year basis.

Kim Kardashian Unveils Son Saint West’s “Extensive” YouTube Contract

Social media gives fans around the world the opportunity to feel closer than ever to their favorite celebrities. While this certainly has the potential to be a positive thing, it can also go very wrong. For this reason, it’s no surprise that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s children have some pretty strict guidelines to follow when it comes to their online presence.

Recently, for example, Kim revealed that she allowed her 8-year-old son Saint to create a YouTube channel. In order to do so, however, she had him sign a lengthy contract. “Saint signed a solid contract for this YouTube channel,” the SKIMS founder wrote on her Instagram Story this week. “He better not breach [winking emoji].”

Kim Kardashian Has Saint Agree Not To Share Personal Family Information

Per the contract, Saint is not allowed to share any personal family information, can’t film while his sister North is recording music, or post content without getting it approved by an adult first. This appears to be a pretty simple and healthy set of rules, and hopefully, Saint will be able to stick to it without any issues. Instagram users in the Hollywood Unlocked comments section agree that this was a good way to teach the child about protecting his and his family members’ privacy on the internet. While this is particularly pertinent in his case, fans note that it’s important for all kids who are growing up with access to social media.

“I love this!!!” one commenter says. “This is really cute,” another writes. What do you think of Kim Kardashian having Saint West sign a contract before launching his YouTube channel? Are you surprised or not? Do you think this is a good way to teach him about protecting his privacy online? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

The Notorious B.I.G. Was Allegedly Preparing To Leave Diddy & Bad Boy Prior To His Death

The Notorious B.I.G. was apparently preparing to leave Bad Boy Records and Diddy behind in the months preceding his tragic death in 1997, according to a new report from Rolling Stone. The outlet explained the situation as part of a broader investigation into Diddy, amid the numerous allegations the label’s founder is facing. Biggie’s lawyers were allegedly focused on getting back his publishing rights at the time.

“I will never give it up until I’m dead and my bones are crushed into powder,” Combs told the lawyers, according to The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop, as noted by Rolling Stone. Hip-hop photographer Monqiue Bunn further confirmed the rumor, adding: “[Biggie] was absolutely about to leave Puff. I know for a fact [because] he told me that.” Another source told the outlet: “Everybody wanted to leave Puffy. Everybody leaves him.”

Rolling Stone also uncovered a new allegation in their investigation which stems from Diddy’s time at Howard University. Citing a friend of his college girlfriend, they reported on an alleged incident outside of one of the dorm buildings. The friend claimed Diddy showed up “belligerent” and “screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she [the girlfriend] came downstairs.” When she did, Diddy allegedly used a belt to hit her “all over the place.” The outlet spoke with multiple other alleged witnesses of the incident as well.

Caitlin Clark Extended Record-Shattering $5 Million Offer From Ice Cube’s BIG3: Details

When you think of college basketball as a whole this year, Caitlin Clark is the name that immediately comes to mind. With her range unlimited both literally and figuratively, she is destined for greatness in the WNBA when she undoubtedly goes number one overall. For those wondering, the Indiana Fever hold that pick in the draft. The Iowa Hawkeye guard and her squad are in the midst of a quest to snatch the March Madness title. They are currently four games away, as they look to advance past the five-seeded Colorado Buffaloes in the Sweet 16 Saturday March 30. Everyone’s eyes are on Caitlin Clark, especially Ice Cube and the BIG3, according to TMZ Sports.

The competitive 3-on-3 basketball league has extended an outlandish offer to the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. Cube is willing to pay Clark $5 million to play a possible 10 games after the NCAA tournament. However, she does not have to forfeit her WNBA dream either. Apparently, only two of the Indiana Fever’s game would interfere with the BIG3 schedule too. Cube expressed that he wanted to keep this a secret, but he is also so excited about this possibility as he sees this as a win-win for women in sports and the BIG3.

Ice Cube Thinks Caitlin Clark Would Transform Basketball Even Beyond The BIG3

While this is a big deal on face value, what else makes this contract so massive for Caitlin? Well, the highest paid WNBA player last season was Erica Wheeler, making $242,000. There is a good chance she would earn more than that based on her talent. However, millions of dollars are most likely not going to happen unfortunately. Additionally, Clark would become the first female hooper in the BIG3. That alone could have a ripple effect for other talents at the collegiate or pro level. More is sure to come on this in the coming weeks, so stay tapped in with us going forward.

What are your thoughts on Caitlin Clark receiving $5 million to play in Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league? Should the Iowa Hawkeye star take the offer, why or why not? How much could this help future female athletes? Will they win the March Madness tournament? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Caitlin Clark, Ice Cube, and the BIG3. Kanye West Comments On Label Contracts Resurface After “Vultures 1” Success Independently

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collab album Vultures did not come out in collaboration with a record label, and that means the artists earned a whole lot more cash than usual. Moreover, Billboard recently released a report on their estimated earnings from this release method, only partnering with distributor Label Engine to put the record out commercially. After its No. 1 debut on the Billlboard 200 chart, we can assume that they netted a lot of money from not having to split this with a label. As such, the outlet believes that they took home about $986,000 from this supposed series’ first installment.

Furthermore, this made them look back at Ye’s previous 2020 comments on label contracts. He advocated for artists to earn at least 80% of their music’s profits and full ownership of their copyright that they can lease out to labels and publishers for a limited time. Label Engine, Vultures‘ distributor, indicates that clients get 82.5% of revenue, something that Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign have plenty of leverage to raise in their favor. But the outlet thinks that this number (under the assumption that 5% of earnings went to the distributor) goes up when considering global streams and publishing.

Of course, these numbers hinge on streaming success and some additional sales for a slight boost. This situation is a big change from Kanye West’s old contracts, such as his 14% royalty rate for The College Dropout. In earlier contracts, he would’ve had to reach this commercial success seven times over to reach the same amount of profits Vultures netted. Sure, this is also only possible for someone of the Chicago rapper’s magnitude, plus Ty Dolla’s own success and that of their featured guests. As such, this is independent in the technical sense of the term; Ye is no indie darling on the industry hustle.

Also, we must consider all the money behind promotional, budgetary, and marketing benefits that partnering with labels provided in the past. Given the Yeezy creative’s antisemitic behavior, this extra push that his albums had to become mainstream cultural benchmarks isn’t there anymore. But add onto this clothing sales, and there’s been a lot of revenue to collect around Vultures, for better or worse. For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, and Vultures, come back to HNHH.
